  • I just downloaded iOS 8 but did not get the health app on my iPad

I Thought that I get health app when I download iOS 8 on my iPad but did not happen to get one

Health is available on iPhone 4s or later and iPod touch (5th generation).

  • Health app on iPad Air

I installed iOS 8 on my iPad Air and could not find the health app. I spoke to Apple support and was told that the health app is only available for iiPhone and not the Pad air. Could someone confirm if this is true.

Only Apple knows why they put any app on any device and they're not known for sharing their thinking processes. If you look at the apps on an iPad vs the apps on an iPhone/iPod you may notice a trend towards acknowledging the ipad's greater portability and versatility.
The most a user can do is send Apple feedback and tell them what you'd like....just wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response. Apple is often most confident in their decisions.

  • Health app on ipad 3

i have ios 8.0.2 but there is not the new health app why i cant see it ?

Because the HealthKit App is an iPhone and iPod Touch only App.  Apple did not make it available for iPads.

  • I do not see glucose monitoring option in health app !!!!!

I have been adding values of my daily blood glucose but suddenly all the data disappeared and now I do not even an option of Blood Glucose in the Health app. What is happening?

This was a sceduled Support call from Apple Support. There has been an ongoing issue with MAIL since I upgraded to Mavericks OSX in February 2014. Since that time I have contacted apple support at least 6 times each time they run me through several problem solving processes. The program will work  for few days correctly, then revert right back to the same issue. That issue being that I can send mail fine, but getting logged in and receiving incoming mail can be very dicey and a long drawn out process at times. I sometimes have to open and close MAIL three or four times to get connected to the imap account. Sometimes it just hangs completely in mid download and I have to force quit and restart. I have Mail set to update automatically which it will not do I have to Manually get new mail every time. I have rebuilt the mailbox at least 4 times. I have completely deleted the account at least 5 times and started over This latest support call once again informed me that my free support time was out (of course) and that I had used all exceptions available for this issue??? All that being said I have included here the follow up email that was sent to me by the tech after we spoke on the phone. Her explanation to me was that there was a MAIL update that came out after my last call to apple support dated November 6th which suposedly would address the issues I am having with MAIL.

  • Why is the "Blood Glucose" missing from health app?

I have been using the apple health app to help track my blood glucose level for my physician.  The blood glucose was essential for my treatment and tracking. The data was lost at a critical moment for me to introduce my progress to my physician.  This is unsatisfactory!!! As a U.S. military veteran using these produces and applications to track success and progress is like the APPLE produce is the Department of Veterans Affairs losing my medical records.   Fix this now!!!

ooh! i am my third mac pro and i love them, in my opinion it is still the best looking case (inside and out) on the market . Fingers crossed they can come up with something better.

  • HT203037 How am I able to enter my laboratory exams such as blood sugar, cholesterol and triglyceride which I measure regularly in health app?

I have a device at home for measuring my FBS, TG, cholesterol. Now I want to enter the results in health app, but I did not find a place for that. Is it possible to enter laboratory exams in health app?

You would make this a little easier if you posted a link to the page.
Most of the jump seems to be some extra padding or margin between the tabs  when you rollover, but I am not able to find it.  Is there any other css that is governing this page? I did remove a couple of <p></p> set of tags you had  and it improved the jump, but it is still there.
If the page is live, run it through the validator http://validator.w3.org/ , fix whatever errors it finds, if you still have the jump, post a link to the page and the issue might get found.

  • Health App needs to add Blood Glucose and A1c for tracking. Eliminate some of the items under nutrition.

Health App needs to add Blood Glucose tracking and A1c tracking. Plus there are way to many items under Nutrition. How many people keep track of their intake of Biotin?

  • HT203037 Health app not retaining Add Steps data

I'm looking forward to using the Apple Watch to track my activity when I get it.  In the meantime, I've been manually entering my step activity in the Health app manually.  Unfortunately, more often than not, even if it seems to initially accept the Add Data entry, after a few hours it usually stops including the manual entry in the total displayed for the day, even though pouring back through the data shows the manual entry is still there.
I've tried deleting the manual entry and re-entering it with a different time to see if that matters, but it generally doesn't help.  It's unreliable enough for me to forego manually adding data entries for my elliptical step data, for now.  Unless someone can explain/sleuth out the logic necessary for the data to be accepted as legitimate and incorporated into the daily step total.
    Any ideas?

Thanks for the feedback.  I'll give the decimal thingy a try, although I'm not sure why that might work (a fraction of a step???).  I'm just trying to find out if others are experiencing this weird issue with the Steps data set.  The manual entries continue to remain in the data set after entry, they just stop being incorporated into the displayed totals/graph.
I also note that it takes a full minute, or so, for all the data in the set to be displayed when you want to edit it.  I discovered this when I saw that my manual entry wasn't being included in the totals graph and wanted to check if my entry was still there.  It was.  So, I then deleted it and re-entered the amount with a different entry time.  That sometime worked and sometime not.  I just didn't want to leave the old non-included entry in the data set, once I got a new entry that worked.
It's nice to know the issue isn't only affecting me.  Maybe Apple will now take a look and see what's the matter.

  • Health app is not linking to Nike + or other apps.

The new Health app is not connecting with either of the Nike + apps that I have or the Runtastic apps.  I am also not seeing Nike + iPod on my phone since I upgraded.

The apps haven't been updated to use HealthKit yet. Apple just opened it up yesterday (after previously having a bug) and it will take some time to have the updated apps approved and pushed though the store.
My response was a bit late, I see! Great to hear that it was opened up again. Thanks for the info.

  • Health app is not letting me export data

The message I get when I try to export my health data is:
    Export heath data
    Could not export data
suggestions on how to fix this?

    Greetings substance12,
Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
If the Health app is not allowing you to export health data, first make sure you have an email address set up on your iPhone:
Add an email account on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If so, or if the error persists after adding an email, try these general application troubleshooting steps next:
    Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.
    Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
    Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

  • IPhone 6 Health App not tracking anything

I was hoping 8.1 would fix the Health app, but it's still not working for me.
It doesn't track any steps.  When I restart the app my dashboard is reset to empty and I have to add things back on the Dashboard.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

    nappin,
Mine seems to be working much better now. I find that there is often a lag of up to 15 minutes between the data being taken and the time it shows up in the app.
I one instance, it shows that I climbed a flight of stairs at 10:03, but it was not added to the health app until 10:15. For other data the two times match.
I don't know why your data does not display on the dashboard. Perhaps you can find an answer in some of the other threads on this topic.

  • The Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus is not recording flights climbed correctly.

The Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus is not recording the number of flights of stairs I climb correctly.  It seems I have to go up the stairs 2 plus times before it records 1 flight climbed.  Are there any settings that I can change?

As far as we can figure out, the hardware is working, but the software isn't, and there aren't any settings to fix it:
Re: iPhone 6 barometer not working
I went into Apple Store and asked for help, and the genius said the software is not ready for production and to wait for updates.

  • Microsoft Band adding some tiles using Health app displays "Notifications are not supported in this version of Windows Phone"

Adding some tiles to my Band shows the 'Notifications are not supported in this version of Windows Phone' error.
The affected tiles include calls, mail, Facebook, Cortana and Facebook messenger. My Lumia 1520 is running on the latest version of WP8.1 Preview for Developers. Why is this the case?

Never mind. It's actually working now.
The health app wasn't presenting me with a request to access notifications. Strangely on the 4th or 5th time opening the app it did.

  • Health app, count steps but not count distance and running

    Hi,
After update 8.2, health app not count distance and running.
Only count steps, today have 2.951 steps but total distance is 0,01km
    Somebody has the same problem?
    Thanks

    I found a workaround!
Launch Health, open Walking+Running Distance, tap Share Data, and check all apps in here, find them, (backup if you like, ) delete them, and done!
