Blu Ray building process stops at a certain point in Encore CS 5.5 for Mac....

In Encore CS 5.5, I am trying to author a 3:21 hour long video as one timeline imported from PPRO CS5.5 on a BD-DL. File size is 38.30GB. In transcoding everything works normal. When it comes to building, it stops at 26.87 GB or 26.92 GB. This has been happening third time in a row. From the sound it looks that Blu Ray burner is trying to continue with the burning process, but nothing happens. When I tried to burn the file as Image, i got Error Code 25. Can anyone help?

Did it give any error when you say that it stopped at some point while burning the disc? If it didn't give any error, for how long the burning did not proceed further? Sometimes the progress bar might stuck at some point but the burning keeps on going. You might want it to go overnight to see if this really hangs at that point.
Error code 25 while burning a dual layer image is a bug in 5.5. This is related to some kind of layer break for dual layer image. This should have been fixed in 6.0.1 (patch update to 6.0)

External hard drive and blu-ray build-in player

Hi staffs,
This is fifth times that I contact you via apple support, I hope you guys won't be annoying with my problem ask.
Anyway, this time there are three questions that would like to ask and some of them might be suggestion for MacOS 10.10 before fall release.
first question ....., I'd like to ask about external hdd which i already plug-in to my mac but I can't move any files from Mac HDD to them even change the filenames for the files in there. Question is., do you have any suggestion or else as solution for this problem.......
second question ....., will be all about blu-ray disc player and burning as build-in or that you can integrated software as dvd player. I don't understand why apple keep away to put this solution into macos and why do users need to spend 3-12 dollars for purchase application in store for this innocent issue. I don't wanna say this as the question but I want this suggestion as the real case to make apple renovate dvd player to all content players and rename its to iPlayer or iMedia. I hope this case will be solve in coming macos x.
third question, about map application in marvelick os........why don't you put the quicklook or street view into application i really need it so much.

You are not speaking with Apple here. These are user to user technical forums and we volunteer our time to help.
First: how is the external hard drive formatted? If it is Windows formatted, Mac can probably not write to it, so check that first and then format it Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID Partition scheme.
Second: Apple does not offer blu-ray because it does not have the license to do it. You can get an external blu-ray player/burner and then you need Roxio Toast to burn in blu-ray.
Third: give Apple the feedback on that.

Blu-Ray build results in a non-readable / corrupt iso-image

I have been working on a project that was created with PP CS5.5 using Windows 7 x64. The PP project has various footages in 1080p, mostly from Panasonic HDC-SD900 with 1080p 50p AVCHD material. There are some clips that were shot with Canon EOS 7D, and a crappy helmet camera. All the sequences were exported using H.264 Blu-Ray that results in m4v & wav files.
Everything works fine in Encore, even when previewing and checking the project, but when I build it to an image and mount it, windows can't read the image. It says it's ureadable / corrupt. I've tried to mount the image with three other computers, using Virtual Clone Drive and Daemon Tools.
Before I started to work on this project, I created a small test-image with Encore that had a few seconds worth of material from the SD900 just to see how blu-ray image building works, and it worked fine.
I've tried to change the BR-R size to 50GB in Encore, but I get same results. This was the only thing that came to mind, because the project output size was very close to 25GB.
I tried googling and searching this forum, but to no avail...
Please help.

Since you CAN create a folder, I **think** that Imgburn will create an ISO from a folder

Blu-ray builds to an ISO always change my 5.1 audio to stereo.

I'm editing in Premier Pro CS6 and sending via a dynamic link to Encore. I'm building my menus and importing other timelines before making the final build as an ISO (Blu-ray Image). I believe I have everything set to the proper Blu-ray specs however the builds always change my 5.1 audio to stereo. The Blu-ray Transcode Status shows Transcoded and the Transcode Settings show Automatic for all the sequences and -- or N/A for the timelines.
Is there anyone out there who has idea as to what I'm doing wrong? Any help is appreciated, thanks

I don't think you can dynamic link 5.1 audio. Encore will handle it as pass through, but with dynamic link, there is no compliant file for Encore to use.
If the Bluray transcode status shows "transcoded," it means that Encore has transcoded it (into stereo). You want to see "do not transcode," but by definition, dynamic link shows "untranscoded."
You can export the audio only as 5.1 and import that. Encore can handle the video only as dynamic link. But I worry about a very small difference creating sync issues.

Blu-ray build: no video (solid red, green, etc image)

If this problem has already been addressed, could someone please point me in the right direction? I searched and didn't find anything similar, but wasn't too sure what to search for.
My problem: Everytime I build a blu-ray project in Encore, I am getting the same result; the video will play (according to the progress bar on the player), but the image is always a solid color, sometimes it's red, green, tan, black, apparently just random, but always the same color throughout the entire video.
I have tried so many different things at this point, I'm at a loss for how to proceed further. I've tried this with at least three different projects, all of which were created in Premiere. I have attempted both the dynamic link from Premiere to Encore and exporting the video first and importing into Encore later. I have tried transcoding as .264 and MPEG2 (I am not very knowledgeable about the settings, so I use the defaults). I have tried building the project in Encore as a blu-ray folder and as an ISO. I have burned to discs and played just the digital files on my PC.
The video always plays fine up until after it is exported from Encore (that is, it previews fine in Premiere, exported video from Premiere plays fine in players like VLC, and the video previews fine in Encore).And I have no trouble building DVDs in Encore with the same video, timeline, and all that jazz.
The only thing I haven't done yet is gone to the trouble of trying to reinstall Encore, which will be my next step if noone here has any suggestions. I am running CS6 with all recent updates. I have been testing the blu-ray playback in PowerDVD and a PS3.
Like I mentioned above, I'm not very proficient in video. If I left out important details, just let me know. Thanks in advance for any help!

When I play the m2ts file, it works fine in VLC and also in PowerDVD. That's interesting, but I'm not sure what that means?
If the actual m2ts file from the Encore build does not show the problem, but what I assume is the same file on disk (or in iso) shows the problem, what could cause such a problem? (I don't know.) The more frequent oddity is a problem on burned disk and not on iso or folder, which points to the burner, burn speed, or media. But that does not appear to be the issue here.
I can't find the example at the moment, but try creating a tiny bluray project and see if the problem occurs. If so, you can upload it for me to take a look.
For example, one menu with one button, linked to a 30 second timeline, using a sample of your material that is causing the problem. If that shows the problem, I would also try a bars and tones sample to eliminat your actual video - although I assume your video is part of the equation.

Chapters Incorrect on Blu-ray Build

I have been trying to build a bluray and dvd of a project i have worked on. When i build the dvd, it comes out fine. However, when i build the bluray, the chapters are all wrong. some are missing and others are randomly sprinkled throughout the project. can anyone help with this?

The Encore transcode for DVD must be mpeg2. What do you have it set for bluray? H.264?

I've just downloaded itunes on a new computer, and I'm downloading music from the cloud, but it seems to stick on certain songs and won't download them at all, stopping at a certain point. How do I get round this?

I've just downloaded itunes onto a new computer, and I'm currently downloading previously owned music from the cloud. However, it keeps sticking on various songs - it will get part of the way through and just stop, this seems to happen to about 1 in 10 songs. How do I get round this?
Also, once I've finished dowloading from the cloud, how do I get my library to display only the songs I've downloaded, and not all the other ones that I don't want anymore?

Why my fla. animation stops at a certain point after previewing it in captivate 3

I have developed an animation using flash CS3. The animation works fine in flash (test movie, and published swf). When I inserted the fla. (insert animation) in my Captivate 3 slide, it stops at the exact same point each time while previewing the animation through the web browser. I have read on this blog that it may be a button or other objects on the slide that has a timer set. I checked the timeline. All of my objects are set at 11 seconds. There are rollovers on the same slide. I have tried to inserting a click box with the "pause project until user clicks" option, syncing the fps, redoing the flash animation and nothing works.
Can anyone help me on this?

It may depend on how you created the animation in Flash. Is the animation supposed to loop? If so, did you animate on the main timeline? If you did, that may explain it. You need to animate in something called a "Movie Clip", then insert the Movie Clip on your main Flash timeline.
And thus I have managed to totally expend any knowledge I possess regarding Flash. Most of it is a mystery, in a fog of an enigma, cloaked in a conundrum.

News feeds stop after an hour or two of news in fb after upgrading to ios7 on an iPad 2! Just get a little gray dot at the bottom of the feed shows up and nothing loads after that point.

I've honestly found the best way to access facebook on the iPad is through safari. The app is buggy at best.

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter

Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.

Stopping animations at certain points on the timeline.

Hi all..
Lets say i have a flashing button in a 2 second loop, "pointA" to "pointB"...
at second 0 ("pointA") the animation begins and at second 2 ("pointB") the animation return to second 0 with the code sym.play("pointA");
when a user clicks the flashing button i have another animation that starts and i would like the flashing button to stop
How do i tell the flashing button animation to reach "pointB" in the animation and then stop, at the moment all i can do is tell it to stop when a user click the button which makes it stop mid-animation
I understand that i can stop an animation by the following code, but i can get it to finish its animation and then stop...

There are 4 animations that are triggered by events..
1:READY
2:WAITING
3:PLAYING
4:PAUSED
i would like for an animation to end before the new one begins even though an event has fired. This is because eventually the animations will all be on top of each other to create a seamless animation...

when you click "click to play" it will load an audio stream from a reputable website (ABC Jazz) so nothing silly going on!...
The full rundown
When you load the file into a web browser the "ready" event fires and starts the "ready" animation.
Then when you click "click to play" the "waiting" event fires causing the "waiting" animation to play (its basically buffering audio while this event is firing).
Then when enough audio has buffered it fires the "playing" event and the "playing" animation occurs and you start to hear the audio stream.
When you click "click to pause" the "pause" event fires and the "paused" animation begins.
then the cycle begins again but the "ready" event is no longer required so when you click "click to play" the "waiting" event fires and so on...
NOTE: i am using a open source script for the audio stream called jplayer (i have loaded the script into the edge file that i have given a link for)
NOTE: the only way to make this script initiate is to add <div id="liveStream"></div> to the events.html file (otherwise i can not send or recieve commands)

how do i make an animation end (finish its 2 second animation) before the new one begins

How to make java "stop" at some certain point?

How do I stop parallels and windows 7 preventing me from installing office for mac 2011 on my new iMac?

I am trying to install office for mac 2011 on my new imac which I have already installed parallels and windows 7. On inserting the office dvd the computer defaults to windows. Parallels support suggested disabling the dvd drive in parallels. I have tried this but still the computer wants to open the exe file with windows. Any ideas please?

Blue-Ray Object: "Menu"; Export File Not Found--Any Clues?

Trying to build a Blue-Ray DVD in CS3 (version 3.0.1.008). Project has motion menus and previews without errors. Upon trying to build either a disc or image I get the error
Blue-ray object: "Menu"; Export file not found.
Where "Menu" is the name of one of the sub menus in my project.
Has anyone seen this error? What is an Export file? When and how does it get created?
I have successfully burned this project to a standard DVD format.

I have the pleasure of closing out my own question. I found the following post that was the clue I needed.

It would appear that the Blue Ray build process is a lot more sensitive to file naming. I brought into my project a menu that I used as a starting template, I edited it in Photoshop and then renamed it in Encore. During the Blue Ray build process Encore rendered the menus to the original template names, but when it needed them to build the DVD it looked for the files that had the new names I had given the menus in Encore.
Here is the fix. I exported the final menus using the Save as Template function in Encore. I then re-imported them as menus and relinked them to the DVD assets. Everything worked fine from that point on.
The interesting thing is this did not happen when building a standard DVD using the same menus.
