Blu-Ray: fatal error

I'm getting an error when trying burning a Blu-Ray Disc.
Error:
Blu-ray Error: "Fatal Error", Code: "6", Note:"
using Tyan S2696A2NRF with LG GBW-H10N and Pioneer BDR-202
Any idea?

I'm having the problem again, and I even repair installed msxml 6.0. I think the problem may be related to the use of 29.97i format this time. My successful build last month was a 24p video.
I am taking 30p video and rendering it as 29.97i for Blu-print. I also am using one simple menu. Maybe I'll drop the menu and see if the build will complete. Could be a problem with the menu or the video being interlaced.

That's the error I got when Encore CS3 started to actually write to the bluray burner.
It's worked many other times but this time it did everything except the burn.
If I reboot or change blanks it doesn't seem to matter. When it gets to the stage of starting to write to the disc, I get the message above.
    Real helpful, right?
Hope there some "real" help here.

I can't seem to get any response here so I'm wondering if there is any list of Encore errors on the Adobe site? Errors like this are pretty meaningless unless you have a list of explanations. Any cluses who might have one?

  • Encore CS6 Blu-Ray "fatal error" during build

I have an external ble-ray drive that I just bought from OWC for my MacBook Pro. I have created a project for a wedding that has 3 sequences. Everything looks good, and the building/burning process gets about 90% done and I get this:
Blu-ray Error: "fatal error", Code: "6", Note: "Video buffer underflows. Total bitrate is too high near time = 0.0000000 seconds - Failed to multiplex with maximum IG PTS: 54900000 (in 90kHz).
I am new with Adobe, especially Encore. This is my third try with the same message. I tried building to Blu-Ray disc as well as Blu-Ray image. I have several couples waiting on a Blu-Ray disc for their wedding video, and I can't produce one! So frustrated!
    Any help is MUCH appreciated!

This is actually a very interesting error message. There are 4 blu-ray authoring programs that can display a error message that contains "video buffer underflows" when authoring a Blu-Ray with H.264.
These 4 blu-ray authoring programs are: Sony DVD Architect Studio, Sony DVD Architect Pro, Adobe Encore and Sonic Senarist BD.
Another interesting thing is also that the complete error message that is displayed by both Sony DVD Architect Studio and Sony DVD Architect Pro is exactly identical, word for word, with the error message that is displayed by Sonic Senarist BD.

  • Blu-ray Fatal Error Code 6: Video Bitrate too High?

So I get this error every time I try to encode my Blu-ray disc. I am assuming that the bit rate I used to encode from Premiere was too high. Am I correct? If so, does this mean that I need to re-encode all of my assets at a lower bit rate before bringing them into Encore? Or is it some other issue? I did read all previous posts on this topic and couldn't really find an answer.
    Thanks for any help.

    Stan,
I don't fully understand either of your questions, but I am sure I can provide an answer that you will understand so here goes.
My audio files in Encore are actually wav files, but in my the root project folder they are ac3. Is ac3 an audio codec or something? I don't understand this. I guess they are session files, whatever that is... And why does this matter?
And what do you mean that Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder should not allow any peaks. Do you mean bit rate peaks?
And my only worry with making a modest drop in the bit rate is the fact that I have to render out almost 20 files before I can test out my Bluray burn again. This obviously takes some time to do and if it ends up not working it can be quite frustrating.
Thanks again for all of the help Stan. Hopefully I can fix it by just adjusting the bit rate.

  • Share Blu-ray Qmaster Error

Hi, I'm trying to export my first Blu-Ray today and I'm getting an error.
It says, " Share Failure: HOST (............local) Final Cut Pro generated an error or unexpectedly quit.
It has also said, "Share Failure. An Internal error occurred: Apple Qmaster File Agent not found." I've seen other similar post on using this feature but none about exporting and burning to BluRay DVD.

If you have a Quad or Octo core MacPro then here's how to set up a cluster:
    http://www.fcsoutlet.com/home/StudioOutlet/Entries/2008/9/1_Virtual_Clusters_-Compressor.html
However the weird thing is I did my Blu-ray on a new MacBook Pro and the cluster was already set up - I didn't think you could cluster with just two cores.
It worked so I didn't look too closely into it.
Make sure you send rather than share.

Try Save As and rename the file. Can you export the file now as a different format?
I'm guessing it's a corrupt file or it's written on bad blocks on your drive resulting in problems.
    Run Repair Permissions:
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Applications/Utility folder.
    2. Click on the First Aid tab and select Repair Permissions
    3. Click on the icon for your boot volume.
    4. Click the repair permissions button.
To Repair your drive, you have to boot from another device.
Option 1) If you have your Install CD for Snow Leopard you can boot from the CD to run Repair Drive.
Option 2)  If you have a clone backup, you can boot from the clone and run Repair Drive.

  • Blu ray burn error "please check boot volume space"

Hi, every time I use Compressor 3.5.3 to burn a BD (on LaCie BD drive), I get the error "Finishing: could not create the DVD (Please check to see if your boot volume has sufficient space)". However, my boot harddisk has over 200 GB free space.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi
I have had exactly the same issue. I have got a work around (below) but have not got a fix if anyone can shed any light on it.
It seems to be something to do with the preferences getting messed up but for us it's only is an issue if we try to burn to a dual layer blu-ray. From what I understand when you start the share process it determines the capacity of the output media (blu-ray disk) and updates the preferences accordingly, the dual layer disk MUST be in the drive ready before starting the share process otherwise FC assumes it's a single layer. What seems to happen is FC doesn't update the preferences to dual layer which causes the burn process to bomb out as described. The workaround we have found is to nuke the preferences before we try and run a dual layer share.

  • Blu-Ray "device error"code 3 note

Im getting this error on almost every progect I do I
Remove the all the files from
    /Volumes/Mac HD1/Adobe Encore Projects/BD/AuthorScriptHDMVSessions/
And sometimes this works this time it is not.Ive been searching the web on this and its been going on since CS3
1.How do I get this to work?
2.Why has this error been going on for so long (3 versions) ?
IM using Encore CS5 Mac Pro
    Thanks
This photo is from a different post that had the same issue

The Error code 3 comes mainly in two scenarios:
    1. When the AuthorScriptHDMVSessions files gets corrupted and
    2. When either your Blu ray disc or the burner is damaged.
This device error is most probabily because of your damaged disc.
    Try using new BD.
    Best of luck.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

  • Blue screen fatal error messages - laptop always crashes and now won't even let me restore

My dv6920ea laptop has developed a fault and keeps crashing with blue screen errors, such as "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". The problem has become so bad that it happens everytime I turn the laptop on. The laptop ran "Windows memory diagnostic tool" which said that there was a hardware fault. I've tried running a full system recovery to factory setting but sometimes the laptop crashes, and when it doesn't it asks me to insert a windows disc, but my laptop didn't come with one. The laptop is a year and a half old. What can I do to fix this issue? I don't mind completely recovering the laptop to factory settings and I have most(!) of my files backed up.

    Hello djbless,
You’re getting blue screens with error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Run diagnostics to make sure that you are not having a problem with any of the hardware.
    Turn off the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F2 key. This will load hardware diagnostics.
    Run the startup test.
Go to HP.com and update the drivers, there is a button that says Let HP scan your system for out-of-date and missing drivers and software
Here is a link to the updates.
Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!
Let me know how everything goes.
    Have a good day.

  • Please help: Blu-ray error - file error - video buffer underflows

    Hi all,
Just got a new video editing system and Blu-ray burner and was very excited to test out Blu-ray burning. Unfortunately I keep getting the following error whilst burning my timeline:
blu-ray file error: file already exists - code 6 note: video buffer underflows
The timeline consists of just one AVC video track and an ac3 track.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers
    Ben

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the input but none of those solutions worked. Tried renaming the project but to no avail. I am using Vista 64bit so that MSXML solution is irrelevant too.
Interestingly I hit a buffer underlflow problem with Vegas DVD Architect 5.0 when I make a project with non transcodable elements. I literally have no idea why I am having these problems, but its pretty upsetting that I bought this whole new system, including Vegas and CS4 just for video, and I cant create a Blu-ray disc with either software!
    Cheers

  • Final Cut Pro X not completing export to blue ray

Running Final Cut Pro 10.1.2, OS 10.9.4, Macbook pro I7 2.3 ghz, 16gig ram...  I can export a short sequence to blue ray from Final Cut Pro X and it works.  I have a 41 minute video that when I "share" to Blue Ray it will burn about 6-7 minutes of the 41 minutes without any errors.  It completes as if it worked but when you look at the video it is only 6-7 minutes.   A few portions of it are also pixilated, that's not the case when I'm viewing it.
Any ideas on the blue ray.  I have an external Pioneer Blue Ray burner which as I said works fine on short videos in Final Cut Pro X.

  • Blue-ray media player

I have a blue-ray player that came with my Dell Inspiron 17R.  It will play standard DVD's, but when loading a Blue-Ray DVD, I get a pop-up that says that Windows Media Player experienced a problem without saying what the problem is.  I used
the trouble shooter, but it couldn't find anything.  What do I need to do to fix this?

    Hi,
    According to this thread:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-pictures/blu-ray-dvd-error-windows-media-player-cannot-play/2d511a0a-7bb3-45c3-9167-6ea28e7eba89
Blu-ray DVD format is not supported in Windows Media Player. You need to use a third party programs to play that.

  • Premiere Elements Blu-Ray Burn Fatal Error

How can I make my Premiere Elements 8 burn a Blu-Ray H.264 1920x1080 project without stopping (not crashing) with a “fatal error”(encoding media ~97% > burning disc 0% > fatal error; Adobe Media Encoder – Property Data Invalid”) after 13 hours?
I am trying to burn 629 stills (up to: 1671x1080, TIFF; PSD does not help) in 6 clips.  The stills and clips are ok since I can render them and also burn any 3-5 clips (up to at least 7.47 GB) but not all 6 (7.75 GB, 52:23).  The full project at 7.75 GB does not exceed BD-RE disc capacity (25 GB, full erase).  I can burn the full 7.75 GB, 52:23 project in H.264 1440x1080, just not 1920x1080.
I have followed http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/515/cpsid_51553.html = “Troubleshoot system errors and freezes when burning DVDs or blu-ray discs (Adobe Premiere Elements 8)”.
My Gateway LX6200-01 seems adequate: 2.20 GHz processor = AMD Phenom 9500 Quad core 64-bit; Windows 7 64-bit, Home Premium, latest update; Color Monitor 1280x1024, 32 bit color; 8 GB RAM; C:\(program disc) = 478 GB free; D:\(photo disc) = 463 GB free; E:\(media cache) = 92 GB free; F:\(disc encoding cache) = 258 GB free; ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics adapter (latest driver update); BD-RE = LGE BH08LS20, firmware 2.0 (latest update), set to DMA mode; PRE8 & PSE8: 64-bit, latest update.
All startup items and services disabled with msconfig.

Steve: Thanks for your good guidance.
Yes, I can output to an MPEG .m2t file, either H.264 1440x1080i 30 or H.264 1920x1080i 30.  I can also burn H.264 1920x1080 either directly or with the .m2t file to BD-RE discs (as long as I shorten the disc name to less than 12 characters).  But I can not burn either 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 to BD-R, either directly or with .m2t files.  When I try, the BD-burner "thrashes" for ~5 minutes before PRE8 quits with "disc error" (but PSE8 will "burn data" to a BD-R disc).
The MS website says that my LGE BH08LS20 is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit and I have updated its firmware to 2.00 which LGE says is Windows 7 compatible.
    Any ideas?
    Tony
