Blue/clear screen line

I Have noticed a short, vertical blue/clear line on my ipad4 screen which is only visible when the background is light or white. Could this be a pixel issue or could it be possibly caused by the screen protector?

  • F-30 Post with clearing screen 734, need document number with line item

    We are trying to use the 'line item' selection for F-30 transfer postings, for when we are only clearing certain line items for a document number. I have seen this done at other clients, but when we go to the line item in additional selections, it gives us screen 731, which only has a line item number; it is grayed out where the document number should be. We need screen 734 which has both line item and document number; I cannot find how to get this in there in configuration. Can someone tell me how I get this in? Thanks!

  • Blue, Zig-Zag Lines on Screen.

    There appears to be blue zig zag lines outlining the objects in the videos I watch or on certain items displayed on the screen. My desktop background is also being outlined in these strange bluish lines.

  • Blue vertical thin line at macbook pro screen

    How to remove blue vertical thin line at macbook pro screen?

    It's not likely that YOU can... it's MORE likely that you've a glitch with either your screen or your GPU. You need to take your machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them take a look at your machine. The diagnosis and any estimate for repair will be free.
    Be prepared, though, if you don't have the extended AppleCare Protection Plan, to pay for any required repairs.

  • Clear screen in "Run SQL Command Line" causes the utility to dump in Window

    Just for your notice... I have not checked if i can reproduce this on Linux platform or on second node running Windows XP Pro.
    But if I use "Run SQL Command Line" utility and do
    clear screen
    The utility dumps, (not the database though only the utlility)
    Maybe some other people could confirm if this findings is a bug or not and if it is a port specific issue with Windows XP only.

  • Iphone 4s less than year old att, want work, blue and white lines black screen

    I have a iphone 4s with ATT, not even a year old.  I dropped phone and now the screen is black with blue and white lines.  I have attempted to reset the phone with no success.  Is this a matter I can resolve with ATT or do I have to drive to genuis bar to get resolved?

    It's probable that the iPhone has suffered hardware damage, and I don't believe an AT&T Store can do anything for you on such issues. You'll need to take or send your iPhone to Apple and pay their out-of-warranty service charge to get the iPhone replaced.
    Regards.

    I have a blue hanging screen with restart and I went to trade line stores and they refuse to help me saying that I didn't buy my iPad from trade line store ?

    Your problem might be a easy fix.
    If the firmware "forgets" what partition it's supposed to boot from, it won't load OS X, so if OS X doesn't load then it can't tell the fans to slow down, the default is "turbo mode".
    So all you might have to do is hold the option/alt key down while booting the computer with a charged up battery on power, you will then see a row of icons and you pick OS X to boot from.
    Once in you head to System Preferences and set the Startup Disk, that will tell the firmware what to boot from again.
    Try it and see if it works.
    You can do more if your problem is not fixed.

    Yes, if it was purchased new you have a 1 year warranty, despite who you bought it from (unless it's stolen goods)
    However you should purchase AppleCare while your in the store for another 2 more years of coverage also a backup drive for TimeMachine to protect your data.

    hi Vamshi,
    chekc if on the selection screen of F.13 the special G/L transactions are properly selected. Also check the customizing for automatic clearing (i. e. which fields have to match).

  • 2nd Gen iPod with Vertical Screen Lines

    I've got a 2g iPod (10 gig) that has vertical lines in the screen that no longer work. This a monochrome lcd so I figured that it was a faulty connection between the board and the glass. So I opened my iPod to investigate. there's a plastic ribbon connector sheet with embeded metal connectors that go from the main board to the screen. It looks like pressure from the click wheel's outer ring has stressed the 'wires' in the plastic sheet.
    The ribbon connector is folded into a Z shape going from the bottom of the screen to the PCB. If I push up (as in from the bottom toward the firewire port) on the fold in the connection ant the bottom of the screen, all my screen lines, one by one, quickly jump into action and begin functioning normally. However I haven't found a way to make this permanent. I don't expect there's any way to replace the plastic connector. I think the more I move it the more stressed and broken the wires will become.
    Has anyone ever fixed an iPod with this problem. Any experience with fixing or working around this type of ribbon connector problem?
    I'll be working on it tonight but I want to see if anyone has any suggestions.

    Well I decided it's definitely a manufacturing error. Every time the menu button is pressed it pushes down the connector a fraction of a milimeter. The button has a small shroud like protrusion. While I can press the wire in and regain my missing lines temporarily, it's clear that doing so further damages the wires. Apparently there's no way to hold the wire in place with pressure because the menu button is in the way (nothing can fit between them).
    Anyway I can only see 2 lines of the bite of the apple when my iPod starts up. I fully expect that this will only get worse. Any help, history or suggestions are welcome.

  • Urxvt patch: VTE like clear screen behavior

    I've switched to urxvt last week. I come from the VTE world (gnome-terminal, xfce-terminal and such, the latter in my case). VTE has a nice feature to which I've accustomed myself. This is the way how it handles the clear screen function (ctrl-L).
    In VTE when you press ctrl-L, the screen cursor position gets to top row and the lines get scrolled just before the visible portion of the window. This means that the scrollback remains intact so you can scroll back and see it later. If you press ctrl-L again when you are at top you get a bunch of empty lines - you can use this to mark the scrollback with empty portions when you are scrolling back large amounts of texts.  This is handy for example when you want to quickly glance at an output from a command but you want to differentiate from different outputs - I press ctr-L several times before I execute the command and then I can just quickly scroll back - I immediately spot where the command began because it has a large black spot before it.
    The way urxvt works in this case that it just positions the cursor to the top row and then just erases everything below that point. This means you lose valuable lines from the scrollback. Example: type "seq 1000", press ctr-L. Now you won't see the last lines of the command's output!
    Now it is possible that I have a misconfigured urxvt and I'd be interested in the config option which I have misconfigured.
    Here's a patch for urxvt which adds proper clear screen function and also adds the VTE-like functionality:

    + {
    + // This is usually followed with clear screen so add some extra
    + // lines to avoid deleting the lines already on screen. If we are
    + // already at the top, add an extra screen height of lines.
    + int extra_lines = nrow-1;
    + if (screen.cur.row == 0)
    + extra_lines += nrow;
    + for (int i = 0; i < extra_lines; ++i)
    + scr_add_lines (L"\r\n", 2);
    + }
    scr_gotorc (arg[0] - 1, nargs < 2 ? 0 : (arg[1] - 1), 0);
    break;

    Now I see what's happening! Your prompt uses '\e[H' which is used as move to home. I assumed that '\e[H' is usually followed with clear screen. This means if you use it to just move the cursor to home it won't work. I don't really see how could I fix this nicely but here's a workaround for your prompt: use '\e[1;1H'. In other words:
    PS1=$'%{\e[s\e[1;1H\e[30;42;1m%}[%~][%M] %{\e[K\e[256C\e[8D\e[30;42;1m%} [%D{%H:%M}]%(?,%{\e[32;32m%}\u2588,%{\e[31;41;1m\u2588)%}%{\e[u\e[1A%}\n%{\e[0;32m%}> %{\e[0m%}'
    By the way the feature of adding extra blank lines if your cursor is already at top won't work in your prompt because your cursor is always at least on row 1. You could change the patch from
    if (screen.cur.row == 0)
    to
    if (screen.cur.row <= 1)
    to have this feature.

  • "clear screen" command exits sqlplus

    Hi,
    I am running a 10gR2 database. when I issue "clear screen" command at the sqlplus prompt, it throws me out of the sqlplus. there are no error messages.
    anybody having the resolution ?
    thanks.

    I got it ... its a bug in 10.2.0.1, the version which I m using
    bug 4595395      CLEAR SCREEN causes SQLPLUS command line to dump
    this is resolved in 10.2.0.2 patchset. Note: 358749.1
    thanks.

  • Clear screen from sql file

    at sqlplus prompt, I can type either HOST CLS or CLEAR SCREEN and both work..
    but when I put either of them in an .sql file and run it from sql with @c:\file.sql
    both commands error with:
    ORA-06550
    PLS-00103 encountered 'CLS' or 'SCREEN'
    OS IS Windows 7 with Oracle 11.1.0.6 client
    my goal is to run a dbms_output line while in a loop
    so the data shows on the screen and refreshes when it is changed
    without clearing the screen, it just shows over and over and scrolls by a list of them very fast

    Dbms_output does not display anything while the PL/SQL code is running. In fact, it doesn't actually display anything, ever. Dbms_output merely puts text to be displayed into a buffer. When control returns to SQL*Plus, then SQL*Plus displays all of the buffered text together. So if your PL/SQL block consists of a loop that takes 10 seconds per iteration, and you go through the loop 6 times, you will wait a full 60 seconds before seeing any output, and then see all 6 lines as quickly as PL/SQL can display them.

  • My iphone 3G has black/blue/white screen but it still works. Any solutions?, My iphone 3G has black/blue/white screen but it still works. Any solutions?

    Hi,
    I just took my iphone 3g out of my bag and the screen is broken.
    The screen either is blue with white lines along it, or black with white lines along it (it seems to alternate between them).
    The iphone still works however, as when turing the silent button it vibrates, along with me tapping the screen when trying to put the password in, it vibrates.
    Any solutions? If not does the warranry cover things like this?
    Ive tryed resetting it (holding sleep button and home button at the same time) and it just urns off, and when it turns on again, the same problem arrives.
    Thanks,
    Matt.
    p.s
    On a unrelated(?) note my iphone thought the head phones were plugged in even though they wernt not long before this happened.

    Click the home button 3 times
    You might of activated a feature known as Screen Curtains on accident

  • Blue and dotted lines on Tecra series!!

    I own a Toshiba Tecra laptop, and I recently got viruses through downloading music.
    I was using my laptop this afternoon when it suddenly froze, with the screen image turning slightly pinkish.
    I rebooted, but the windows Vista startup screen with the logo and black background had blue, dotted, vertical lines all accross it...and it never actually booted up.
    I tried doing system restores and startup repairs and whatnot, and nothing worked, so I reformatted. After this, the computer seemed fine for a minute or two.
    But when I had to restart as a part of the reformatting process, I had the same problem. After some messing around with the laptop and another attempt to repair startup issues, I got the computer back up again.
    I just restarted it for sh*ts and giggles, and it worked fine. BUT, the blue dotted lines are still there (only on that first screen with the logo)! The computer runs fine, as I'm posting this from it right now, but the blue lines concern me, as I've read online that this can be a problem with a graphics card or something.
    Oh, and one more thing: my bottom toolbar is cutoff, only displaying half of it...can't really read the time...is the screen shifted down or something? Is there some way to fix this?
    Any thoughts/suggestions about the 1)blue dotted lines or 2)screen being shifted slightly downward?
    Thanks!

    Since its happening in DOS as well, it cannot be a software problem. It sounds like the screen or mainboard may need replacing.
    I suggest you bring the laptop to a service center for repair.
