Blue curved edged squares flashing all over my iphone?
So basically when I go on my iphone these really weird boxes which are light blue lined with dark blue. They keep making boxes around everything on the screen. Also sometimes this same blue comes up and scans sideways. All this started happening after my friend was fiddling in the settings. Please help!

Blue or pink stripes appears all over the screen, can't do anything but restart with the button.
I was watching Netflix and all of a sudden, blue stripes appeared in my screen. Then my page seemed to "split" in two and then come back to normal and then there were pink stripes all over the screen and I couldn't see anything else but stripes. I had to restart with the button. It restart correctly, I have been able to watch Netflix again but only on Chrome because on safari it would happen again everytime. Then, iPhoto opened and here we are again, stripes and image "moving", can't help but wait... Then the screen became all white and nothing. I tried to restart it again with the button, but it didn't even made it to the apple interface, juste the sound and then white screen. What is going on, Please? I really need my computer for work this isn't fun!

Faint blue speckles and lines appear all over printed documents, Laser Jet CP3525dn
Dear Toner Problem Community,
Every time I print, faint blue speckles appear all over my document. When I print in mass, blue lines also begin to appear at around page 34, and double blue lines begin to appear around page 62. I performed "Process Cleaning" three times with no difference. Someone suggested vacuuming out excess toner, but I pulled out the cartridge and don't see any excess toner. Please help. Many thanks for your earlier inputs, but not quite sure where you got the idea that i want someone or anyone to play detective... i've understood the Overprint problem... and moved on. If anything, maybe i was just musing and wondering if any particular action turns on "Overprint Fill"...

The other issue...
Same black background(s)... placed Photoshop file/s with a transparent background... Prints fine at the printers (various machines and media) ... But on the laserprinter an HP Color Laser Jet CP1510 series, there's a dark patch around the image (the actual file area).

To elaborate, the pix above are product shots which have been cut out and placed on a transparent background... The PS file is then placed in AI CS4 with the object option selected to maintain transparency. The transparent area is printing darker on the printer above. But is fine when sent to commerciqal printers...

Rented movies have floating green square spots all over screen
We have a new Sony KDL-52W4100 connected to our v1 Apple TV via HDMI at 1080p. Cable images std and HD look great, DVD and Blueray look great, all functions of Apple TV (photos, intro, menus) look great. Rented TV shows and movies have large floating green squares all over screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

This sounds like the file is either corrupt or there is an issue with output from the tv. Firstly, I wasn't aware that tv v 1 software supported 1080p, I suspect you are either running v 2 software or you don't have 1080p as an output resolution.
I doubt all your rented movies have become corrupt so I'd be looking at your HDMI connection as the source of your problem, have you tried another cable, is it seated properly. You should also be aware that 1080p requirers a category 2 HDMI cable (although in many cases category 1 does suffice) -
Random coloured squares occurring all over my Mid 2010 21.5" iMac
Ever since I got my iMac repaired by replacing my graphics card my iMac has had a display problem with random white/random coloured blocks appearing all over my screen. I reset the RAM and the problem went a away for a while. But it has returned and I tried reseting the RAM again but nothing happened this time. Please help!
For some uknown reason, some ISP provided wireless modems (which are often low cost / old technology boxes geared for Win XX clients) don't like iMacs. And, they don't like lots of clients connected to them either. If wondering, my ISP provided me a 2-Wire modem (which is both wired and wireless) and it worked great with 1 wireless and 1 "wired" client. Then, my son added his PS3. Then, my wife added her new iMac. Next thing I know, we're getting unexpectd time-outs and line drops. Somedays it runs great and other days, it drops 5 times within the same hour. After lots of research, it appears the 2-Wire box is NOT iMac friendly. And, it doesn't like many clients either. It's simply "too old or too tired" for our many new technology clients. Today, I'm "on the hunt" for a NEW Technology ISP Modem / wireless box repacement. It's time I upgraded my old technology wire/wireless box anyway.
Perhaps your existing ISP Modem/Wireless box isn't Mac friendly either? Perhaps you need to upgrade its firmware, change its internal setting or simply replace it - with a "Mac certified" modem box? Something I learned the hard way...

Imac G5 - blue "world" in square flashing on screen on start up
I was trying to re-install my os disk and it said it would delete my harddrive -so I tried to quit it or eject the disk and could not -
hard powered off
now I have a square with a blue "world" flashing in the middle of the screen and can't get it to do anything.The maximum operating system you can run on it is 10.5.8.
The maximum installer disc you can put on it is 10.5.6 which looks like * and does not say Upgrade or OEM.
The original discs that were prebundled with it, would say iMac G5, and are the only way to get Classic installed on it, if you have 10.4.11 or less on the machine. With 10.5 or later, there is no Classic compatibility. An external Firewire hard drive or second partition with 10.4.11 or less will also run Classic if you have the prebundled discs. Those prebundled discs would also include the minimum operating system that can install on it, Appleworks, as well as the minimum iLife, and a hardware test you can't get otherwise.
That machine shipped May 3rd to October 12, 2005.
The only retail 10.4 installers that would work on it look like * and say 10.4.3 or 10.4.6 on them, and do not include iDVD, Garageband, iWeb, iPhoto and iMovie. For those you either need iLife '06 or later, or the prebundled discs that came with it.

Appstore icloud itunes not connectiong
I had this exact issue. However, I was not even able to "see" the pending downloads when I tried fixing them using the solution above.
In another thread, I saw that someone mentioned an issue with the use of the "&" (ampersand) symbol in your appleID information. I had recently changed my name and it did include the & symbol in my name (not the appleID itself). I replaced the ampersand with the word "and" and saved. I then went to the iTunes store and logged into my account there and made the same change on my billing name.
Voila! I could now access the 7 pending downloads on my desktop Mac and download them, and all iPhone/iPad/Ipods were again able to download from the app store.
incidentally, I had several support tickets open on this issue and never once did the Apple person even suggest that this might be the issue. -
Just put together a new system last night.. Everything installed fine, worked great.. Came home today and the PC was in sleep mode, woke it up to find hundreds of blue/red squares all over the screen.. They are blue in a white background, red on everything else. Even on the windows splash screen, they are there, as there on the post screen. Installed newest drivers for vid card, same problem..

Just downloaded the new ios 7, and I can't seem to get any apps to download in the app store. It doesn't have the meter bar anymore and all it does is have a blue circle spin and spin for over 5 min. without nothing happening! Help!!!
Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?
Thank you!I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

I sometimes have blue and red square-shaped dots appear on my MBP; especially but not exclusively when I'm watching videos. The dots don't stay in the same place; and also they are not there all the time. Also, sometimes my animations (applications opening, windows being dragged, etc.) will glitch as well. Again, this is not a continual thing; it just happens variously throughout my day. MBP Model A1212, OS X 10.6.8, 2.33 Ghz 3GB RAM.
Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

I have a comment. I am very upset with Photoshop and all your tutorials regarding the quick select tool. I have watched many tutorials and read instructions until I am blue in the face. This tool does not work. It is all over the place and all of your tutorials make it look so simple. How can you advertise this as a viable tool when it just doesn't work?

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result. -
Just brought a new iPod touch and when I set it up (twice now, after resenting to factory settings) there are grey squares on all screens at the top and the apps over these squares won't open. Any suggestions?
I can't envision what yo are seeing.
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
