Blue death screen

Hi , I have recently purchased an iPhone 5s in Israel. i have tried fix it with iTunes and its not working

Hi lee351,
I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your new iPhone. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If your iPhone isn't responding, you may want to try restoring it to factory settings from iTunes, as outlined in the following article:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
If you are unable to restore your iPhone, or are still having issues after the restore, you may need to have the iPhone serviced, especially given that it was just recently purchased. You may find the following page helpful (make sure to select the appropriate country for your location):

  • The blue DEATH screen (win 7 professional, 64bit)

My Lenovo SL410, machine type of 2842 laptop was hacked/attacked Saturday night, that is, it forced restart then failed to start with STOP: 0x000000ED.  Digging for my own emergency/repaire CD to no avail, I moved last summer (either I forgot to get this CD or it was stolen when my stuff was left with a person).
What are some of the solution options?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, justwhatever
I found this document from Microsoft that has some information about the error and some possible fixes. The default suggestion is to attempt to do a System Restore without a repair disc, which will hopefully work for you.
Best of luck, and let me know how it goes

  • My HP Pavillion a6620f is stuck on the Blue HP screen, F keys won't work

My HP Pavilion a6620f is stuck on the blue HP screen. None of the suggested F keys will work. If I press Esc or F10, I get a message stating that it's starting up whatever corresponds to those keys, but nothing ever happens (left it for five hours while ran errands and it never changed.)
Previous to getting the blue screen, I had put the computer in sleep mode by choosing sleep through the start menu. When I came back to the computer the next morning, I'd forgotten that I'd put it in sleep, so I pressed the power button to turn it on; when it came on, it stayed on the blue HP screen. Since then, I've looked at the HP boards, I've taken off the side, vacuumed (lightly) out the dust, unplugged and plugged in the power cable from the hard drive and the mother board, then did the same with the data cable. I plugged everything back in and I'm still getting the blue screen. I don't have a recovery CD, so I don't know what else to do. Can someone help?

    Hey McLundin,
I'm sorry you're running into this issue with the blue screen. Is this screen one of the infamous blue screens of death?
    Examples of BSODs
Do you get any sort of error message on the screen? Look for the word STOP and the code after that. If you need to, you can take a picture of it and post the picture in your reply.
I would suggest trying a hard reset as the next quickest and less invasive step. This can sometimes fix strange issues because it drains all of the electricity out of the unit. Here are the steps for a Hard Reset.
If you've got another laptop you can put the hard drive in, you can take the hard drive from the laptop in question and put it in a second laptop to see if it boots. Obviously, if you get the same screen it's a hard drive issue. My bet though, is that it will work, since the F keys on the affected laptop are not even working. (You're pressing those keys immediately on power on right?) Putting the hard drive into the second computer will allow you to back up files, if necessary, to a flash drive or external hard drive.
I hope this information helps. Let me know what the results are, if you get a chance please

  • After installing itunes and restarting computer, blue error screen comes up

After I installed itunes 9 and restarting my computer a blue error screen came up. I had to restart my computer in safe mode and restore. Now itunes will not work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling various itunes, ipod, apple...etc programs and i get the blue error message again. HELP!

What version of iTunes is installed in the Apple default location ..... /Applications/iTunes ???
Drag the iTunes icon in the Dock to the Desktop and release; it will be deleted with a poof! Don't worry it's only an alias.
In your Home Page ~/Library/Preferences/ ......... drag to the Trash and delete:
    com.apple.iTunes.plist and com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist
(don't worry ... new ones will be created upon relaunch of iTunes .... +see below+)
    Using: /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility/Repair Permissions
    RESTART the computer
Within the Applicatons folder: double-click the iTunes icon ... if the launch is successful, drag a copy of the iTunes icon to the Dock ... release ... you will now have a current alias in the Dock.
P.S. *Do Not* have the iPod connected to the computer during this process!

Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • HELP! CD stuck in drive. Try to restart brings up blue loading screen. Can't get the disc out and we've tried everything!

Imac Intel totally stuck with this CD in the drive,
Seriously. Every forum tells us to restart - but we can't because SOMEHOW this burned music CD (that we've had forever) has caused it to freeze on a never-ending blue loading screen.
Help please. Nothing's working. Only every now and then will the drive make some sounds to eject and then fails.
    What has happened??

    Greetings Ruth,
It sounds like the disk has become stuck in the drive and when it attempts to eject it becomes stuck on the inside of the drive housing or the optical drive itself has failed in some fashion.
Follow all the steps under "The drive doesn't eject discs or discs eject slowly".
If the steps don't help then follow the last step which is to take the system in for service / evaluation.
    Best of luck to you.

  • Windows XP, will not load past blue error screen

Hi, been wondering for a while if anyone can help me...
My xp system will not load past the blue error screen which appears after the computer has shut down suddenly or improperly.
Regardless of what actions you choose to take (safe mode, most recent settings...etc) the system simply goes past the blue screen, onto the windows logo loading page, where the loading bar moves for around 10 seconds, before returning back to the blue loading page.
So far I have tried leaving the computer for as long as a month unused whilst I was abroad, removing the battery for various amounts of time, and leaving the computer running for as long as a day.
In the absence of a recovery disk, I have no idea how to get it back to form, and would welcome any hints or suggests, bearing in mind I am no computing genius (If you had'nt guessed). Preferably, without loosing my irreplacable pictures and videos stored on the hard drive, however that is only preferably,
    Thanks, Jay

    Hi Jay,
i know what it's like to not able to boot even into safe mode command prompt.
In your case I would do either of below:
Download a bootable CD ISO called "HDD Regenerator" or [Hiren's BootCD|www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd] which includes many other great tools. Burn the ISO image onto CDR.
    1. Use the HDD Regenerator to boot the PC and use it to scan the whole HardDrive from 0, it will scan and fix all the bad sectors which may cause Windows failing to boot as systems files are corrupted. You will be suprise how great this tool can fix bad sector HDs.
    2. If above does not work, the the Hiren's BootCD to boot the PC, navigate to Symantec Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to Clone you hard drive, you can use USB external harddrives.
Then you can rebuild the PC with second partition large enough to store the HardDisk-IMAGE, use Ghost Explorer/etc to restore your personal files.
I have been dealing with lots of this issues as well. Let me know if you need more help.
    Good luck!

  • Blue Checkered Screen after using the Recovery Disks

I have a Compaq Presario SR2034NX XP Media Center computer. I followed the instructions and installed all the recovery disks. The screen then said to remove all disks and that it's going to reboot several times to finish the installation. During this process I got a blue checkered screen. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I took a picture of what the screen looks like and I'm enclosing a link to the picture here.
Click below to see the picture of what my screen looks like after using the restore disks:

Thank you for your help and time!

I run into the same problem with fresh installation of W7 Pro on T530 with 1TB samsung disk.
    This solution worked for me:
Running check for updates will trigger this error message:
“Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer.”
    Solution:
    1.    Go to Administrative Tools/Services, and stop the Windows Update service.
    2.    Then go to the folder c: /Windows/SoftwareDistribution and delete all of the files and folders.
    3.    Then go back to Services and restart the Windows Update service which will recreate all of those folders again.
    4.    Then manually run the Update Service and everything should work.

  • Copy displays in blue on screen

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8. All my copy (all text) displays in blue on screen, when it's supposed to be black. When I send to printer however it prints correctly in black. Is there a reason whey this is happenening and is there a way to fix this problem? I have tried opening different pdfs from multiple sources so it's not just one pdf file that is doing this. This is happening to all the pdfs not just the one that I have created. When I open on a different computer or if I open the file in Acrobat Reader, copy is displayed in black like it should be. I am on a MAC running 10.6.8. Thx!

See if "Replace document colour" is selected under Accessibility Preferences.

  • Time Machine Crash  along with death screen

Ever since I did the 10.5.2 update Time Machine crashes, ejects my hard drive, and I keep getting the gray death screen to restart. I turned off Time Machine but my HD keeps getting ejected and still having the restart issue.
I'm running a Mirror face G4 and have NEVER had a problem before, so this is very irritating.

    Hi there,
Thanks for your posting - I followed the links in order to try and find out why my disk image may not be working properly.
I backup my MacBook to an internal slave drive on my G4 using Time Machine. It was working fine for a month but has suddenly given me Kernel Panic so from these posts I assume that to mean a corrupt image. I tried running Disk Warrior on the image. It found a HUGE number of errors. Pretty much every file in the volume was repaired for "Extended Attribute". However, unfortunately Disk Warrior gave the following message:
DiskWarrior has successfully built a new directory for the disk named "Backup of JowieBook." The new directory cannot replace the original directory due to a Mac OS services failure.
Try rebuilding again. If this problem persists, please restart from the DiskWarrior CD and then try rebuilding again.
Hmmm, that not good. I haven't tried restarting from the CD because I don't see much point - the image isn't on the boot drive, it's on a slave. I checked the volume read/write status as suggested and this is the result (abridged):
    image-path : /Volumes/Lemon Jelly/JowieBook_0016cbcc5f19.sparsebundle
image-type : sparse bundle disk image
    writeable : TRUE
    autodiskmount : TRUE
    removable : TRUE
    image-encrypted : false
So I'm pretty stumped. Shall I just run it again? Here's the chmod status of the volume:
    drwxr-xr-x 6 jowie jowie 510 Feb 20 22:30 Backup of JowieBook
I'm not very good with Unix but that looks okay to me... So I'm a bit stumped. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

  • Satellite L500-1XD constantly restarting & displaying blue recovery screen

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L500-1XD laptop from an Argos store in August. Soon after I got it it occasionally restarted itself and displayed the blue recovery screen saying the laptop has recovered from a hardware failure. This has become more frequent recently and it often shuts down, displays blue screen, restarts and does this over and over again.
I have not installed many new programmes on the laptop and have installed all updates. I have removed any programmes I did install with the exception of Microsoft Office.
Another thing that might be related if that when the laptop starts up it says the Toshiba Service Station has stopped working and tries to check for a solution to the problem.
I would any appreciate any advice on how I could perhaps remedy this
    Thanks in anticipation

    Hi katrina_1,
That means the preinstalled Windows version is still installed, right?!
Well, I think its hard to say why it happens It could be a software or hardware malfunction. Both could be possible.
The most reasons for blue screens are drivers or hardware itself Are all devices installed properly in device manager or do you see yellow exclamation marks?
In your case I would try to reinstall Windows. Maybe its only a software or driver issue
Furthermore if you have installed two RAM modules, test it with one module only. You can also use Memtest86 or another RAM diagnostic tool to test the RAM modules for failures.

  • I restored my non functioning ipad to factory settings on itunes and I can see the ipad on itunes but the screen is still showing nothing but a very dark blue/black screen. Can I correct this myself?

Ipad won't turn on. when you press the home/on button the screen lights up a little to a dark blue/black screen.
I've forced it into recovery mode, restored it to factory settings on itunes. I can now see it on itunes but nothing is coming up on the ipad.

My G4 Apple PowerBook will not boot further than pale blue/grey screen displaying "flashing file symbol / flashing ?"
Last previous action:  Used Firewire cable and "Target Mode" to copy files from G4 eMac to the PowerBook.
I worked from the eMac to the PowerBook, making the PowerBook the "Target".      Files seemed to transfer OK.     Won't boot from InstallDisc.  Holding down T on startup results in Target mode screen.   I have a G4 iMac and a G4 eMac.    Can I use either of these with Firewire cable to boot-up my PowerBook ?
I'm new to using this Communities & Forums Help.   Can someone please help me to get going again ! !     Thanks for your time.  Graflood

    Hello,
It sounds to me like the PowerBook is stuck in target disk mode.
It's expecting the iMac/eMac to be there when booting. Seeming it's not attached, it will show a flashing folder.
If your PowerBook internal drive is bootable, then simply hold down the option key when booting and select it's internal hard drive. That should boot your PowerBook into Mac OS X.
