Blue highlighted areas are printing with a blue background

when I highlight a certain section to copy, instead of printing section normally, it's prints it with a blue background.  Is this
a printer problem or computer  problem.  It only started doing this in the last 2 days, before that it was fine.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? What program are you printing from?

    '''

Well, I figured this one out as well. It was quite stupid
actually. Like I said in my other "self-answered post" I'm going to
briefly describe the solution for anyone who might need the help.
When Crossword Forge exports your file for the web it makes a
folder with that crosswords documents and it's background image.
You told Crossword Forge what image to use for the
background. Even though it makes a new jpg for your background, it
still has to reference the original. Keep those originals in your
local root folder. don't move them. Crossword Forge will have a
hissy if it can't find the original image. Yeah, even though it
    creates a new image.

  • Hello everyone, So When I use the eraser on a photo and try to save it as jpeg is makes is save it as a copy but the parts that I erased are replaced with a white background and thats not what I want

Hello everyone, So When I use the eraser on a photo and try to save it as jpeg is makes is save it as a copy but the parts that I erased are replaced with a white background and thats not what I want

That may not be what you want, but Jpeg images are flattened, without transparency.  Every pixel has a color value, with the default background usually being white.  If you want to crate an image that leaves the erased area transparent, you will need to use an image format such as .gif or .pnc.

  • Canon i9900 color inkjet printer. Photos are printing with colors wrong. Is there a driver that works?

I'm using a new MacBook Pro/Mavericks and a Canon i9900 color ink jet photo printer. The colors are printing all wrong, it almost looks like a negative. Printing directly from the Canon 6D photos print just fine. Is there a work around for this? Canon says it's Apple's driver that is the problem. I've tried printing from PhotoMatrix Pro, Photoshop CC, PhotoElements CC, Preview, and all kinds of software but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions out there?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but a printer must be consuming a little electricity for it to sense and respond to a command to turn on and print. Therefore, I suggest you forget buying a new printer with this feature and simply leave the printer you already have on all the time.
    Just a thought!

    Hi,
There is a chance of an empty line in any of your text node,
this is after your variable in any of the text node there is a chance of assiging a paragraph format
with out any variable in that line.
you can check this by selecting the pencil icon in the text nodes and go to change editor.

  • Objects with effects applied to them print with a white background around them

I have an object with a dropshadow effect applied to it. When attempting to print my file, the object with the effect prints with a solid white box around it, blocking out a portion of the objects behind it. Why is this, and how do I fix it? I have tried to apply the "flatten transparency" option to the object with no result. The only way I have found to successfully print this is to import the whole file into Photoshop and print it as a raster file. I would like to preserve this file as vector...

I think the problem lies with your ripper/printer not understanding the higher level PostScript - convert raster effects to greyscale if at all possible - might help...

  • Images with transperencies or effects created in InDesign are printing with bounding box

Hey everyone!  My first post here, but I have been having fits over an
    issue that keeps popping up.
If I give an image a drop shadow or create and overlay, I sometimes get the bounding box showing through on the pdf or the printed copy.  What is causing this?  I have read about the white box effect and the yucky discolored box effect, but this is a tad bit different.  Hope someone can help.  Thanks!

Thanks Peter!  After your first reply I went down to the print shop and printed our problem document

  • Issues w/ color when printing with a layered background

    Hello,
I have designed a page in Illustrator that was intended for the web, and now the company wants print outs for a trade show.
I have a multi-layered background,  and when printing off a laser printer, the greys are awful and streaky. I have a feeling it's because I've got dark grey layered over light grey over green (see pic), but what can I do to fix it? The client wants the background this way, but I'm not sure about the mechanics of it, I just know that it looks awful when printed.
    Thanks for any help!
    Jen

It's going to be tough to match the RGB work you've done for the web and laser printers are a challenge.  You might have to rebuild the file or convert the colors to CMYK.  The grays will probably be the easy part ( 20%, 45% ), but the dark greenish blue will have to be remixed ( i.e., 100C, 18.5M, 0Y, 51K ).  I think you could use the existing elements, but you might have to expand them or divide them.  You should avoid layering or overlaying, just work with a flattened .ai file and see if that prints any better.  Raster elements, transparency, and layering effects are better handled via a Postscript 3 RIP + PRINTER.  If your laser is non-postscript and does not have a RIP ( raster image processor ), then the color will be problematic.  If you will be printing the sheets for the tradeshow using the laser, then whatever you mix will be able to be proofed ( by eye, I assume ) internally.  If you go outside and use a Kinkos or something, then color should be proofed using a contract proofer at your local prepress shop before sending it out to be printed.

  • Printing with different color backgrounds

Does anyone know how to print pics/contact sheets using black or another color for the background? in photoshop you can change this in output options so that not all prints have to have white borders. i find the black looks much better for most prints and would love to have this option when printing from aperture. am i missing something obvious here?

The following example is more simple. If I choose the default printer, and change the resolution with the dialog, printing is CORRECT. Bt if the user chose a printer which is not the default and change the resolution, the printing is incorrectly scaled. This is under Windows XP SP2, with java 1.5 and 1.6. Printers tried are different models of Brother printers.
The AffineTransform is different depending if the printer is the default or not, for example if i set 1200 dpi, I get in the first and second case:
    AffineTransform[[16.666666666666668, 0.0, -150.0], [0.0, 16.666666666666668, -100.0]]
    and
    AffineTransform[[8.333333333333334, 0.0, -150.0], [0.0, 8.333333333333334, -100.0]]
I don't know if to file a bug. Last time a filled something which were not a bug. Thanks.

  • New Canon Pixma Pro-100 printing with streaks on backgrounds

Hello.  I just purchased the printer last week.  I'm operating on a MacBook Air.  I typically use LightRoom and Photoshop.
I'm a professional photographer and recently look a class at ICP and learned how to print there.  I was shocked at how beautiful the prints were.  This was using an Epson in a classroom.
I did my research and talked to other photographers and decided the Pro-100 would be perfect for me, and so far, it is.
I've had trouble with magenta casts when using LightRoom.  Switched to PhotoShop and got better results.  But some prints, especially those with a simple, plain background, faint lines appear across the page.
Here's an example.  The lines appear top to bottom every 1/4 inch or so:

  • Pro9000 Prints with Heavy Blue Cast

    Hello all!
I have several Canon Pro9000 and Pro9000 Mark II printers. The Pro9000 Mark II printers are doing great. However, the Pro9000 printer is printing photos with a heavy blue cast to them. The blue is so heavy and so bad that any photo printed with it is destroyed.
I have tried printing both from Photoshop and from other programs, including straight from Window's photo viewer. When printing from Photoshop, I have tried both letting Photoshop manage colors and the printer manage colors. When Photoshop is managing colors, I've turn color management off for the printer (set it to None). I've made sure I have the proper paper selected, etc. It does not matter what I do, the Pro9000 still prints with a heavy blue cast.
I've tried switching from Auto to Manual in an attempt to reduce the blue. But even if I have the first slider (labeled Cyan) slid all the way to the red side and the third slider (labeled Yellow) slid all the way over to yellow, I am still getting a heavy blue, but now the images are too red and too yellow, etc.
What can I do to figure out what is going on with this printer? It used to print properly, so I am not sure what changed. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.
    PS - I am running Windows 8.1, 64-bit.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I don't have any 9500's. I have two Pro9000's and four Pro9000 Mark II's. The Mark II's all print fine from the same computer(s). Both of the Pro9000's (non-Mark II) are printing with the heavy blue tint.
The monitor being right should not be an issue here. After all, what I see is what I get with the Pro9000 Mark II's.
I've tried both letting Photoshop handle all the color profiling and letting the printer do it. I get the same blue tinting. Just FYI - I cannot always use Photoshop to print. I do event photos where I am using a Hot Folder for printing. In cases like this, Photoshop is not even running. That's when I need the printer to handle color profiling (the hot folder software I currently use has not control over this). Again, this works fine with the Pro9000 Mark II's.
I've played with numerous settings and nothing is removing the blue tinting. I thought it might be the print heads, but the check nozzle pattern looks like it is printing just fine. This is why I am confused.
