Blue hue camera FIX

Hello all - I'm new in this forum as today is my first day and I'm new with my iphone 4 since 3 weeks. I was puzzled why I was having blue hues in my photos with flash, then after reading the forums, I suspected that it has to do with the obstruction between the camera and the flash. I had a skin that had two holes precut, so I cut the skin out between those two holes and lo behold, my pictures taken with flash are perfect (no blue hues)!! The same applies for cases that has two holes. Please refrain from skin or case with two holes. Best to purchase case or skin that has one big hole for both the camera and the flash so nothing goes between them. Thanks.

I have a similar experience, sometimes the LCD on my mbp adopts a very cool white balance, like the blue hue you mentioned, if I open up the display preferences panel then the screens white balance goes back to normal.
I'm having many issues along with the detection of external displays.

  • 16-bit tiff with a blue hue

I have a canon 20D, which I use to take RAW images. I convert them to 16-bit tiff's using Photoshop CS. When I transfer the images to my ipod photo using itunes they appear on the ipod with a blue hue to them, all the 8-bit images transfer fine. Can anyone tell me if this is a know/widespread issue, and if there is a solution to this.

Did anyone find an answer to this problem?

  • Having problems with my epson perfection V600 scanned images printing in blue hue.  Anyone have a solution?

Have new Macbook Pro, just bought the mentioned epson scanner.  Running Mac OS X 10.7.2.  Have HP photo smart 8250.  Scanned images of white, lined index cards print out in blue hue.  Trying to figure out what my problem is.  Running scanner with Image Capture.  Any pointers in right direction welcome.

You really need to check with Epson with regards to that printer.  This forum is for the MacBook Pro hardware.

  • Green or blue hue when printing in Elements 11

I get a green or blue hue when printing in Elements 11.  Printer color control is off.  Need help to eliminate color hue when printing.

Oh yes it has Barbara.  David is right.  Have a look at Elements 5.  I got that free and would still be using it if I hadn't had to upgraded to Windows 7.  I've now had to buy Elements 11 because Elements 5 wouldn't load and Elements 11 does not have that fascility that David laments.  I used that printing option almost exclusively for printing cards and I bitterly regret not having it now.  I'm very disappointed with these printing options in Elements 11.  The problem is that Photoshop eminates from the one country in 180 that seems manacled to its imperial measurements that the rest of the world has to keep wading through. I expect that to acquire my favourite printing fascility I shall have to get the full verson.  I have seen it in screenshots, so I know that it is there.  It's all very well for Barbara to say resize before entering the print window but this is just trial and error and takes forever.  In the meantime I shall continue to spend ages working round this cumbersome resizing problem each time I print my cards.

  • My LCD Display is showing a blue hue for a short time after plugging in.

I'm finding with the display that when I plug in my laptop, after a few seconds a blue hue comes over the screen. I've tried switching to the better performance graphics card on the MacBook Pro and get the same problem. The first few seconds the color is correct.
    Can anyone help?

Thanks, this is what I did:
    1. In system preferences go to 'Displays'
    2. Go to the color tab and click on 'Calibrate...'
    3. Check the tick box for 'expert mode'
    4. Continue through to Target White Point
    5. Change from 6507k to 6024k.

  • Rebel xti...all pics using creative zone modes (P, Tv, Av, M) have a blue hue. Basic zone is good

Rebel xti problem...all pictures taken using any creative zone modes (P, Tv, Av, M) have a blue hue.  All pics using basic zone modes (portrait, landscape, etc) are great.  must be a setting somewhere...please advise...thanks...tom

    Check your White Balance.
Basic Zone use Auto White Balance. Creative Zone use whatever you set. If you get Blue cast, then it must be set to Fluorescent or Incandescent.

  • My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do

My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • New ipad blue hue (ipad 3)

Has anyone noticed on the New ipad screen blue hue around the edges especially when there is a white background? If you look closely you can see A light blue color especially on the top and the bottom of the screen against a white background ? is this normal?

You cannot tell for sure. Nobody can.
If your judgment is based on stats, then I guess you will find out that there're not so many users out there posting on a forum complaining about such a "defect", simply because either they've already asked for a replacement or they're happy with their device in first place. This is not a "huge" defect like dead pixels, color tints or blotchy dark patches for which you can find many discussions on this forum. So, if this is the case, you would probably keep asking yourself "am I the unlucky one?" forever, thus please do yourself a favor and ask for a replacement.
Otherwise please consider this example: if I ask my father to look at my iPad's display he says he can't see the "defect". My girlfriend can. The iPad is the same so who's right and who's wrong?
My point is that you have to decide.
Basing on my own experience (I did it 4 times with the iMac), it's not worth trying to replace the iPad hoping to receive a "perfect" one: maybe you're lucky and would get a better one or maybe not. The fact is that replacement units are usually refurbished products that means you're going to get the device someone else has returned (properly inspected and cleaned by Apple, of course). Thus the highest chance of getting a good one is the one you already had buying your brand new unit. If you're still within the 14 days of "grace period" you can ask for a refund a buy a new one and this is probably the best option, otherwise follow my suggestion: keep it and enjoy your iPad, it's awesome!

  • Blue Tint - Blue Hue to iPhone Vidoes Downloaded to PC

I just got my iPhone 4 so i am a newbie. The videos I have taken look great on my iPhone. When I download them to my PC they have a freakish blue hue making them worthless for showing others. I am using quicktime to watch them on my PC. I have searched on google and found about a half dozen similar issues but no answers. Anybody out there with ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks

No it does not. I have read about that, but sadly this is not the case for me. The only thing "extra" I had connect was a printer, but I never installed the drivers for it and unplugged it after I read about unplugging other USB devices.

  • HP Slate 500 Camera Fix

I was having problems with the Slate's webcam when I installed new programs on it. I have seen in a few forums that whenever someone started the camera program they couldn't get an image on the screen.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the camera's driver and software over and over again with no avail.
This is how I got the camera to work again-
    1. Do not install or reinstall the camera driver or program. They are both working.
    2. Click the windows (Start) button.
    3. Click Devices and Printers.
    4. Right click (Your computer's name) Computer Icon and click properties.
    5. Click Hardware tab and it will provide you a list of your devices.
    6. Find USB Video Device and click it, then the properties button.
    7. Click Change Settings and click Update driver.
*******Bear with me on this part************
    8. Don't search for an updated driver, instead click "Browse my computer for driver software".
    9. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers from my computer".
    10. There should be a choice within in the box  "USB Video Device". Click that.
    11. It will reinstall your driver and then magically..... your camera works again.
Why does that work instead of reinstalling? My best guess is that it is trumping another program that trumped your camera. Who knows but now it works. After working this issue all day I believe its a Windows 7 problem, not HP.
As for Skype and Yahoo only working for the rear camera? Try switching the camera in your messenger's preference tab.
I know on Yahoo you click Messenger-Preferences-Webcam-Camera. The camera you want is the VGA one, not 3MP.
    Hope this works for you.

I just purchased a HP Slate 2. I have the same camera issues. When you click on the camera icon I get a black camera screen with a large blue circle going round and round for about a minute. Then I get a picture of a camera with a circle and diagonal slash. Nothing else. I tried dunedago's operation but I don't see a USB Video Driver listed. There are many USB Drivers listed but none have Video in them. I tried Miro666's procedure. It did not work. Is there any way to get these cameras working? Thank you.

  • 16-bit TIFFs seem to have a blue hue

I modified the original images (usually RAW) with photoshop, and saved them as 16-bit TIFF files so as to retain as much quality as possible.
(I am using a collection in photoshop elements to manage the pictures, and itunes syncs them from there.)
Yet, when they sync to my ipod/color 60g, they have a blue-ish hue to them.

open system preferences (either from dock or click on the apple pic top left of screen and select from drop down) or from a finder window: applications, and then click on displays>color then> calibrate and you can play with colors there... and yes, you can click to get it to factory settings..

  • HELP!  Black showing up blue in cam raw

I need some help- my blacks are showing up bright blue when I open in camera raw.  As I adjust the black, it just gets worse.  Is this my color setting on my computer or does anyone have suggestions?
If I need to uninstall/reinstall photoshop, am I going to have any trouble with my serial number being used again?
These are hopefully simple answers, but I just want to get it working right.  Thanks!
    Katie

You probably have the clipping indicators activated.  In the histogram, there are two little icons in the upper corners.  The one on the left activates the shadow/dark clipping, and the one on the right activates the highlight clipping.  If you click on those little icons you can toggle between having them activated or inactive.  That bright blue that you are seeing indicates that the shadows are being clipped.  If there are highlights being clipped they will be displayed as a bright red.
