Blue impossible to read

Is anybody else finding the new blue on grey impossible to read? A dark text colour on a dark background is such a fundamental error, how can it have passed QC?
Lightening the background does nothing to improve the situation - because dark text on a light background is just as bad.
Until this changes to a brighter colour, I am virtually unable to use AE and Pr!

I personally am not having issues with the "blue" color with the exception of the CTI (Current Time Indicator) extending down through video tracks with the default Iris label color. Personally, I find it very hard to see.
IMO the time code could be a little brighter like the borders around the panels when a panel is selected. When I saw the YouTube video preview that Dave Helmsley did on the new release of PP I immediately hated the blue. IMO the yellow trim on the dark gray really popped and was easy on the eyes. But after installing and experimenting with the new update 2014.1 I am finding I like the new enhanced interface with the blue color with the a fore mentioned exception of CTI on Iris labeled tracks.

Actually, you can. It's a bit of a hack, but nothing serious and it doesn't involve anything that would get your warranty revoked. What it entails is making a tweak to your iTunes Music Library.xml
1) Make all the informational changes, ratings or whatever to the movie you want to keep on the Apple TV.
2) Sync the movie to your Apple TV then shut down iTunes
3) Make a backup of your iTunes Music Libary.xml
4) Create a small m4v file for each movie you intend to delete from the computer you synced with the Apple TV. Give each file it's own unique name.
5) Edit the iTunes Music Library.xml for each movie entry, pointing the entries to your tiny dummy m4v files
6) Delete the original m4v for the movie
If you open iTunes and sync up to your Apple TV you should notice that the original movie does not get overwritten with the dummy file. The only way the Apple TV will grab that file is if you update the information in your iTunes copy and/or the dates change for the movie record in the xml.
As a side note to Apple: The fact we cannot leave content on our Apple TVs without this hack is uncharacteristic of your company. I paid for the hard drive, the movie and I have to use twice as much hard drive space on my network than I should? This is not environmentally sound nor is it consumer friendly.

Nokia 6280 vs Blue&Me sms reader

I would like to know if there's any way to use Blue&Me sms reader with my 6280.
At the moment I have connectivity via Bluetooth, can make and receive calls, only the sms reader in the car kit is unavailable.
Is there any upgrade to my phone I can make to get that function started?

Impossible to read digital New Yorker!

does anyone else find it impossible to read the digital New Yorker on the iPad? If you try to move the page so that it is centered on the screen, it jumps right back to where it was. And parts of the magazine page are always off screen. Try to move it and it jumps right back. there must be some way to fix this, but I can't figure out how!

Well, it more or less fills the screen in landscape, with a 2-page spread, but that's way too small to easily read the text. To read comfortably, you want to enlarge the page and move it around, like you do with the desktop (or laptop) computer. But when you try to do that with the iPad, it just snaps back.
Do you really find that it's enjoyable to read when the entire spread is visible?

Hi Daniel,
Your CD/RW-DVDROM should be able to read DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, DVD-R and DVD-RW formats. It is not compatible with the +R and +RW formats.
If your problem is only with reading DVD-R or -RW disca then it is probably a compatability issue with the type of discs you are using. Not all blank media is compatible with all optical drives.

How can I change the text from impossible to read blue to black

Unlike Chrome, which has an ad-on that changes the text to black, I have so far been unable to find a way to change Firefox's terrible light blue text to black, despite having made many attempts through Tools, Option, Colors, etc. Help will be appreciated. I am using version 30 on an HP Laptop running Win7

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors and check the default colors.
*Tools > Options > Content Fonts & Colors > Colors [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

IPhone 6 Plus 16GB blue screen crashes: Read, error type:Address map hole or size mis-match

Hi folks,
Some time ago I had a 16GB 6+ and it crashed with the blue screen, so I returned it. I now have a brand new one that I got from Tmobile ($75 return fee) and although it has mostly worked just fine, I have gotten 2 blue screen crashes. Below are the details from the phone's log.
What strikes me is the message "Read, error type:Address map hole or size mis-match".
Does anyone know if this could be caused by a hardware defect?
I've gotten one of these crashes running iOS 8.1.2 and another in 8.1.3.

MacBook Pro fonts are impossible to read

My Macbook Pro has a 17" screen and a default resolution of 1200x1900.
The fonts are so small that it is impossible to work with.
Leopard had a feature on its list that would fix this, I lost track of this feature (I guess Apple dumped it in the Trashbin, to release the IPhone in time). Is there a solution out there, one that enables me to work on my new Macbook?

I do agree that the zoom is not useful. And I also agree that UA is not all that it should be. Why not have a magnifier for the menu bar like you do for the dock? Why not be able to set a font size preference that would work for any window? I really hate to say this, but the much despised WIN 98 that my mother-in-law had seemed to have better settings for the visually impaired. Even my Dad's Win ME is better. He is legally blind with some remaining vision, and I was able to set up his computer so he could see it a lot better. And I think the high contrast mode that these systems had worked a lot better than the Apple slider. Maybe it's time for some Feedback to Apple.
It's little comfort, but I did find a way to make some of Finder better. Click on the Finder icon and then on View and then on View Options. You can increase some of the text to 16 point. Unfortunately, this does not work on the left column, which remains tiny. I don't know why there's no way to make it bigger.
Here's hoping they will add the solution they had in a future update!

Impossible to read rt.jar classes??

Hi,
I noticed that recent versions of the rt.jar from Sun are compressed in a way making it impossible to extract files from it?
I need to do this from a Java tool I am creating, but I end ut with a:
java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid CEN header format
And when trying to extract files using winzip I get a CRC error...
I suppose this is a way of protecting the holy rt.jar file from evil hackers or virus programs or something, but for me it is quite frustrating!
I really need to extract these files programatically, are there any workarounds? And, how was this extraction protection added in the first place?

Yes, that will extract the files even from those CRC-error rt.jar files, however I really need to do this in my own program directly on the rt.jar file, this is an important feature of the tool I am making, unfortunately.
It works on almost every JAR file, except the ones coming with the JRE, which are the most important ones. Even the JDK rt.jar seems fine, but that still does not help me as I cannot rely on any particular version of the rt.jar to be available on my users computer...

In some websites, the caracters are not clear and impossible to read when I scroll down. I have to pass my mouse over it to clear the caracters.

It started to do that about a year of 2 ago. So I started to use Chrome instead. This morning I'm using Firefox because I saw they upgraded and I thought it would not do that again, but the problem is the same.
I open a website la my Hotmail account. The caracters are clear at this moment. Then, I scroll down, and I cannot read some lines of caracters. And it seems like the problem is sporadic. I added NoSquint, and the problem is the same.

Is the high definition (HD) display of my new laptop the culprit behind my tiny impossible to read icons and menu headers in all my CS5 adobe programs?

The toolbox icons and menu headers are too small to read in all my adobe cs5 programs. I just purchased a new laptop with a high definition (HD) screen and 1920x1080 resolution. So far I tried dropping the resolution to 1680x1050 that does not solve the problem. I went into photoshop preferences/interface and bumped up text size to "large" and that made text in menus readable but not the icons or menu headers. Then it occurred to me, the one thing that is different is the HD display. Does anyone know if that is the reason for the tiny icons and text? Thanks for your help.

I tried what you mentioned and wow! the icons and menu headers in photoshop are a normal size again.
One other thing I did since my first post, I found a way to bump up the size of text in the display settings of Windows and that fixed readability in most of the adobe products I use ( acrobat pro, illustrator, indesign, bridge-somewhat) but not photoshop. Anyways, thanks for your advice! you have saved me from ruining my eyesight.

Gld to know you have solved your problem. I just did a fresh install of ML 10.8 and Safari 6.0. I have installed Quicktime Player 7.6.6. But I am not able to play the embedded midi file in the Safari browser

When you attempt to print the end result is extremely tiny print that has each letter spaced thre or four spaces apart. Darn near impossible to read ! I am about ready to cancel the beta !

My eyes mat be 72 years old but I'm not blind but I seem about ready to go that way. I don't know why Firefox 4 beta affects whatever I try to print but it sure does ! every letter is about four spaces from the next letter. That weird spacing is caused by a Bug in 4.0b12. It was fixed for the 4.0RC version due out this week. As far as the size of the letters being printed, that can be changed in File > Page Setup - '''Scale''' = 100% or Shrink to Fit is normal, but it can be made larger by going over 100% or using a '''Custom''' setting in Print Preview.

P67A-GD55 impossible to read the post at boot

At boot, I want to read the post by pressing the pause button...
But ... But by pressing the pause button the screen does not stop at the post.
Is this an option that can be activated in the bios.
