Blue Label Laptop

Hi, I was impressed with the Toshiba Best Buy Blue Label laptop... and the good overall specification of this laptop (just needed an upgrade on the Graphic). But sadly, this computer is not in stock in any of the best buy in my area.
Any feed back or news on when the new Best buy Blue Label laptop will be released? Maybe with the new windows 7 a new one will come up? I would like to buy a new laptop and I think the Blue Label fits my ''Laptop need''.

Toshiba Satellite E105 (Blue label series)

I have the Best buy blue label Toshiba Satellite E105. The computer has a backlight and that you turn on holding the function key button down and pushing z key.
I recently noticed that the function key and the space bar don't light up. I haven't ever really noticed this and was wondering if this was normal with this specific model.

Yes, that's true. If you want to try reinstalling the Display driver, your support website is HERE. Determine which Display driver you need by looking in Device Manager and then download and install either the Intel or AMD driver and see if that helps.

New Blue Label Toshiba laptop release date?

When is Best Buy going to be releasing the Toshiba E305 for consumers? I'm excited for this laptop, and my current Lenovo is slowly dying.

A websearch revealed that the expected release date will be around March.

That is the exact news I was hoping for. I had one of the 3 blue label laptops with the Intel Wireless Display (Dell 1569). I Loved everything about it, except it was garbage. I had 3 of them. First one, the Media Center crashed and GeekSquad couldnt fix it, second one came with a squeaky mouse button and they replaced it again, and for the third and the worst one. The Wi-Fi card actually burnt and melted the bottom of my laptop plastic (left an indention of my finger print on the bottom of the laptop. Thank goodness, even though the laptop was 2 months old, the manager gave me a full refund in the form of a gift card.)
So, I am basically looking for the same exact type of laptop, but would actually be reliable. The Dell had the Wi-DI, an I5 processor, lighted keyboard, and a lot of other extras. Should we expect to see something compariable coming in that time frame that you mentioned?
Also, not to question your timeframe. but from looking at Intels website, it stated that the 3 blue label laptops that came with the WI-DI (Intel Wireless Display) would start to be at Best Buy stores by January 17th and with them having a 6 month exclusive contract on that technology. Wouldn't that mean that there would not being any new Intel Wireless Display Technology laptops until atleast June 17th?
Lastly, any new laptops coming in that timeframe or a little later (a couple weeks or so) that would be equipped with Nvidia Optimus graphics card? As I read and saw a youtube video showing that the Nvidia Optimus graphics card actually work with the Intel Wireless Display Technology.

Streaming from PC to TV wirelessly.

I just saw a commercial showing the blue labels and toshiba laptops and they were showing that they could stream from the laptop to the tv wirelessly. You could show videos or do slideshows, etc.. How do I do that?

No, the new blue label laptops have built in wi-di technology from intel. They utilize a netgear adapter to transmit the wireless signal and the adapter plugs into the t.v. via hdmi.

Confused about the blue Loading label

Whenever I click on a link a blue label appears on the right side of address bar.
I don't know what it's there for.
I tried to click on the x to make it go away and it does, but then my webpage will stop as well.
What is this thing, how can I get rid of it?

I really hate the loss of the blue progress bar and that the reload/stop button is in the URL field... I mean, +I really, really hate it.+ It looks so "tacked on at the last minute," it's unintuitive and I just don't think anything should be in the URL field +except for the URL.+

Date label in mail app on iPad not same as actual date in email header

Hello everyone
I've been experiencing some problems with my iPad's email, the date label (displayed in blue) when viewed in the list of emailed received, doesn't correspond to the actual email's date as displayed in the email's header. For example, when viewing the list of emails, the blue label shows the date as 'Yesterday' when the actual date the email was received at was 4 days ago! This also happens in a different way, the label shows 'Sunday' when the day it was received on was in fact Wednesday..this is becoming quite annoying as it keeps pushing the old email along with the emails that were actually recently received.
I'd appreciate any suggestions for solving this issue..

Label colors in timeline

I had hoped to organize my used footage in my timeline by highlighting the currently blue label for video clips to a green color. In the timeline I am able to do that, however when I look at the bin where the clips originated the label colors for all clips, including my used ones, remains blue. Is there a way where a changed clip label is updated throughout the project?
I can also used the metadata display to use the video useage field. Is there a way that can be turned on for the entire project instead of having to go into every single bin and add the metadata display field for video useage?

There's no way to have the label colors automatically change with usage. You can file a Feature Request for that.

For the columns, you can save your settings and switch to them easily in the Metadata Display window.

FCP 5.1 on Tower and Laptop?

Someone posted recently saying the license on 5.1 had changed and you can install on both tower and laptop. Can't remember which thread, but it took a couple of days for it to penetrate. Is this true?

Yes, you are correct. The SLA says "This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on one Apple-labeled desktop computer and one Apple-labeled laptop
computer so long as both computers are owned and used by you."
However, this is followed closely by this statement "This License does not allow the Apple Software to exist on more than one computer at a time,..."
Go figure. Can't believe that one got passed the lawyers and bean counters. But since the first statement (the one about 2 computers) has been added since 5.0 I would tend to think that the other was intended to be removed.

Color label setting problems in Develop module

Today is the first day with Lightroom 3, where I have over 200 photos from an event, that I am walking through each photo. I am in the develop module and I am setting the color label to red or blue. What seems to be constantly (not every time) happening is when I click the color for the label, LR will move to the next photo, but not apply the color label.
As I write this I'm trying it out to notice a pattern. What I see is photo 1, I click on the red label and the photo is labeled red and LR moves to photo 2. I click on the red label and LR does not set any color label and moves to photo 3.
Another thing that happened is I was then at photo 3 and clicked on the blue label. LR did not set the blue label but jumped to photo 4 and put the blue label on that photo.
This is very annoying.
Where might I report this bug to Adobe?

If I've got you right, you want to change the background color of your label according to a value..
say when value=0, you make the bgcolor red, otherwise, it is blue...
label.setBackground(Color.red) works when you say
label.setOpaque(true).
I think it is false, by default.

Satellite P200 and Panasonic UJ-225 Blu Ray burner

Anyone any ideas about this Blu Ray drive working in a P200?
The operating architecture should be able to handle it but what about drivers? Is this drive the OEM that Toshiba are using in their Blu Ray laptops now?
It seems a clear upgrade route that I am suprised Toshiba are not offering themselves, or are they?

To be honest I also dont know if a Blu Ray drive would work in pretty old Satellite P200 but Im also interested in a Blu Ray drive for my notebook because I want to watch new videos in Blu Ray quality on my notebook too. But as far as I know Toshiba doesnt offer such drives at the moment so there is no information about compatibility in notebooks so Im not sure if such a drive will work in your notebook.
Theoretically you could test such a drive in your favorite computer shop and ask for such a drive and if you can test in your notebook. So you can make sure if it will work or not and then you can tell us your experience about this if it works or not.
As far as I know at the moment Toshiba doesnt offer a Blu Ray drives at the moment but I did read in the Internet that some new models like Qosmio G60 will be equipped with Blu Ray drive.

Bluelabel Sony Vaio VPCSC1AFM/S missing advertised Radeon chip?

Hey guys,
I purchased this blue label Sony vaio laptop the other day (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+VAIO+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%238482%3B+i5+Processor+/+...). It says that the laptop uses AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics but when I went to confirm it within my graphics properties it says my computer is running Intel HD 3000 graphics. I also used the Intel® System Identification Utility (http://www.intel.com/support/siu.htm) just to be sure but it also stated that my laptop was running Intel HD 3000 graphics and not the AMD Radeon HD 6470M graphics it is supposed to be. My laptop does have the "RADEON graphics" sticker on it.
Im new to this whole chip set thing so I may be misunderstanding how it works. Maybe I have both chips? Can someone please lead me in the right direction.

Right click my computer. Click device manager. Click the little arrow next to display adapters. Type us what is in that category.

PC Theft Defense Service HELP!!!!!!!!!

Does Best Buy Sell PC Theft Defense Service to intel anti-theft enabled computers that aren't blue label?
