Its very urgent. I would be really appreciate if you could send it over to [email protected]
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Chandra,
Thanks for the reply. However I would need Generic Functional Design document.
I know that Functional Specs comes close to Functional Design but Functional Design is an High level document above specs.
If you could provide that, it would be really helpful.
    Thanks,

  • Implementation Sign off Documents

    Hi
I'm about to round off on a project implementation and require documentation for sign-off.
I don't know what format this should take and would appreciate if anyone could email me samples on [email protected]

    Hi,
When you log off from SAP sessions, it is called as Sign off. You can use /nEX in your transaction code window.
Sign off is also used in delivery aspects - when a object is delivered to client and user testing is completed successfully, user officially signs a sign off document which shows that the object is delivered to client successfully.
    Hope this helps.

  • Digital Signature -- Unlock signed off document

    Hello,
We are implementing digital signature to BBP documentation. The signatures can be successfully triggered and documents can be signed off and status changed. When trying to unlock the signed off documents, in the document attribute window, the unlock button is however not available. Therefore we can never get a signed document re-opened. I wonder how we could configure to get the button visible?
We'd appreciate any suggestions you may have to share with us. Many thanx!
    Regards, Li

    HI Jason,
Thanks for the message. Yes the "document is locked" checkbox has been selected.
What is the role you mentioned? I created a role with authorization objects C_SIGN and C_SIGN_BGR, but it seemed not to help.
There is supposed to be a "document unlock" botton available in the document attribute, see a sample in the presentation (shown in slide 11, step 3).
    https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700002397472006E
Now when I open the attribute of a signed document, the "document unlock" button is not available, I am wondering where in the configuration/role we should do more.
Hopefully this helps you to understand my problem a bit more
    Kind regards,
    Li

at the same time please send the related documents of business blue print.
    Thanks in Advance
    Shah

    Shah ,
You can start with the ASAP methodology , it has some Business Blueprints along with it.
As for books , you have quoted most of the books and you can also look at relevant books in
    sap-press.com
there you will find the official SAP books on BW -
but agian they might be expensive
As for Business Blueprint , there is a Book called SAp R/3 Business Blueprint ut that would be for R/3 and does not have BW related Business Blueprints in it but definitely a start...
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0135211476/103-1653144-3955852?v=glance&n=283155
this is for Business Process Blueprint , I am not aware of any book on Business Blueprint for BW but you can defintely check out ASAP for BI.
BTW which version of BI / BW you are working on ??

  • Stuck seriously in the blue print phase of project--- please help

I am Prabhas, sap XI associate consultant in capgemini. I am stuck in the design phase of my project.I am writing this mail to you for helping me in designing the blue print of my scenario. My scenario is like this.
XI will receive a flat file containing stock data and it processes by transforming the structure and then dump the data to R3 system. The output of XI actually invokes some function modules in the target R3 system which in turm executes some BAPIs for committing some transactions.I am clear with the flow and how to realize the process. But the problem is with the function module written to execute some transactions with the help of BAPI.Suppose for some reason one of the transaction commit is failed and the RFC adapter goes in error. Now the question is after correcting the error if we restart the msg in RFC adapter will it start executing the transaction in which it faced the error or the whole RFC will be executed again.
I hope the problem is clear to you. Please help in getting over this. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Prabhas

    Prabhas,
    A few quick questions~
    1. How are you maing the RFC call? is it a single RFC call that will contain all the records from the file or are you going to make one RFC call for each record in the file?
The user of Recordsets permessage depends on this factor.
If you are going to make a single RFC call, then you cannot use Recordsets per message if there is some dependency in the records.
    ><i>You mean to ay that even some of the transactions which were committed before the error, we can undo them in RFC. If it is so i am clear with the point.</i>
Well if all records are going to be pushed into a single RFC call, then yes, your RFC code should be such that if there is some error whileprcoessing the call, it should be able to undo the same!
If it is the other option where you are going to make one rfc call per record, the issue will not arise, if there is some error, you can correct the same and restart the mesage from XI .

  • SAP HCM Implementation: Blue Print Phase

    Hi,
I have been wondering if there are any template of generic questionnaires to be asked to the client during the TO BE info gathering which is compact and covers all aspects of an organisation. It would also be good to understand what kind of generic solutions that a consultant could offer the client.
I would be happy to understand the above scenarios on a very generic perspective.
    Thanks in advance.
    Papri

    Hi Papri,
As others said it depends on the client business..
for an example...i am writing some points to give you an idea
you should prepare the questionnaire to get all the necessary information to configure in SAP.
The business blue print if the final doc to start your implementation
during this stage we need to identify the clients current business process and you will map in SAP  ,, in BBP we maitnain the as is and tobe how we map it to sap and also we identify anf Gaps
if you are gathering info about OM for instance
u2022     what is their current org structure
u2022     how many divisions and departments the do have
u2022     how they defined is it based on functionality (eg:sales dept, R&D dept)
u2022     how many jobs they do have in the company ,what kind of positions they do have  etc
    for  PA module
u2022     for enterprise structure you can ask the client how many company codes (how many balance sheets they prepare)they do have,
u2022     what all the location the company established(for PAs and PSAs)
u2022     how many employee groups they do have (reg ,contractor, temp etc)
u2022     to configure Actions you can ask them how they process/maintain employee master data,
u2022     what is the process they follow from employee hire to retire/separation
u2022     what all they maintain during hiring an employee (so that you can put those infotype s in infogroups for actions)...
u2022     how many wagetypes they do have (for 8 infotype) how they process salry monthly or weekly(to define payroll area)
    for time management
u2022     what all the shifts they do have for their employees, general or afternon shift etc ,
u2022     does the shifts wil change periodically or constant etc
u2022     what all the leave types they do have CL,SL ,EL,
u2022      how many leaves quotas , how many leaves for the quotas(SL 12 days etc)
u2022      how the leaves will be credited, month end or starting etc
u2022     does the leaves will be carry forward or not
how they track attendance , does they have 3rd party system to track leave management or payroll calculations etc
hope it throws some light on your question...

  • How Can I Turn Off Document Template

I need to remove the option of opening a new template when clicking on 'New' in a document library. I don't want to delete the content type itself, just remove it as an option. When I click 'New' I want the option of opening a clean Excel, Word, Powerpoint
    or OneNote document.
Allow management of content types is turned off but this did nothing. I also tried turning this option back on and it still didn't change anything. Do I need to delete the URL of the template document?

Apologies, I could have been clearer. Somehow, someone has managed to enable a template for one of the document libraries. When I click 'New' in the document library it opens a template Word document with writing on it already. I want to turn this off so
that when I click 'New' I am give the default option to open a new Word Excel PowerPoint or OneNote document.
I checked in advanced settings for the particular library and have tried turning off Allow management of content types but this does not change anything.

  • Business blue printing doubt

    Hi all,
i am doing an implementation (business blue printing phase)
I have a requirement from the business users they have given some KPIs and reports based on these
KPI's but i am not sure to which value they are actually looking at like we have sales quantity in controlling as well as in SD.
and also moving average price is in product costing ..so i have asked my functional consultants to give me the list of fields of the KPI's given by the business users
in an assumption that i can be sure that i will pick the right datasource if i exactly know the field.
am i on the right track r else am i unnecessarily wasting the time...will it be of any help to me please kindly confirm
    thanks and regards
    neelu

    Hello Neel,
yes. For eg. if the users are posting billing documents and want to report on sales values or quantities based on total billing docs posted, then you can use the datasource 2lis_13_vditm meant for billing.
you can also refer to best business practices for standard scenarios and try to match with the business reporting requirements.
You need to find out the exact transactions in R/3 based on which they want to carry out reporting. The transactions in R/3 mostly have standard datasources related to them.
for eg. purchase orders/scheduling agreements in R/3 will have datasources in applicatio component 02. The material movements posted including goods receipts, issues, stock transfers will have datasources within 03 applicatio component.
the billing docs can be seen in sales application components, whreas the quality notifications can be found in 05 appliation components.
check out rsa5 in R/3 for available datasources and check out the respective business content for standard cubes, queries available for these datasources.
    Hope it helps..
    thanks,
