    Shah ,
You can start with the ASAP methodology , it has some Business Blueprints along with it.
As for books , you have quoted most of the books and you can also look at relevant books in
    sap-press.com
there you will find the official SAP books on BW -
but agian they might be expensive
As for Business Blueprint , there is a Book called SAp R/3 Business Blueprint ut that would be for R/3 and does not have BW related Business Blueprints in it but definitely a start...

  • Blue Print View in JDeveloper 10.1.3.4

    Hi,
whenever I open files in BPEL files in JDeveloper at the moment, I get an extra button top-left called "Blue Print View" and a blank pane below it. I don't know what it does or why it's there, and can't find any documentation on it, or settings/preferences related to it. If I click anything else on that toolbar, the "Blue Print View" button disappears and I see the BPEL view that I'm expecting. This started happening recently, and coincided with me starting to see many problems when I try to close file tabs that I've got open, e.g. I click on the [X] to close a tab and it just won't go away!
I remember attempting to add a BAM Server/BPA Server/Rules Engine in the Connections Navigator (I was just playing, I don't actually have one to connect to), and I wonder if these problems originated at about the same time.
Does anyone know what this "Blue Print View" is all about, and how I can get rid of it?
I am using JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.4.0.4270 under Windows XP SP2.
    Cheers,
    Paul

    Hi Brent,
I don't know how to install exceptions manually. However why don't you try to install a different extension (e.g. junit integration), to see if the problem persists (is it a general problem with your jdeveloper installation / none of the extensions work??). Also try to start up the jdeveloper from the command prompt - are there any exceptions (e.g. IOException) logged on the console upon startup?
The problem might be related to file permissions, jdk version, or 64-bit win7 os (jdeveloper 10g not certified).

    Hi,
The Business Blueprint gives you a general idea of how your business processes could be mapped in one or more SAP Systems. The Business Blueprint documents in detail the scope of business scenarios, business processes, process steps, and the requirements of an SAP solution implementation.
A Business Blueprint compises the following structure elements in a hierarchy:
    ·        Organizational Units
    ·        Master data
    ·        Business scenarios
    ·        Business processes
    ·        Process steps
You assign content, for example, project documentation, Business Configuration Sets, or transactions to individual structure elements, in the SAP Solution Manager.
You can also create structure elements for organizational units and master data, below a business scenario. You only use these structure elements if the organizational units and master data are only relevant to the business process above them in the structure.
The Business Blueprint is the prerequisite in the Solution Manager for configuration and test organization:
You configure your business processes with reference to the Business Blueprint project structure. You can also display and edit the project documentation from the Business Blueprint phase.
You base all test plans that you create during test organization, on the Business Blueprint project structure. The transactions which you assign in Business Blueprint process steps, are put in test plans when you generate them. You can run these transactions as function tests, to test the transactions.

    thanks buddy

    Hi,
<i>1. Who will be responsible for preparing the minutes of meeting? (XI Developer/Team Lead/senior consultant etc…)</i>
In general , TL will prepare and rest of all seniors will approved/ signed if it is senior level meeting , Offcourse it depends upon the meeting .
<i>2 In usual Dev->QA->Prod project cycle...
Where would the Configuration and Version Control come into picture?
Who is responsible for configuration process of the developed objects?
How the configuration process would be in real time XI project? Are we needed to use any external configuration/version control tools like VSS etc..?</i>
Yes Configuration will be the developer or the senior for interface configuration  / basis for SLD configuration
the respective will be the responsible
<i>3. I come across the terms like Legacy Systems, Third Party systems, SAP systems, Non-SAP systems, Web Systems.</i>
It depens upon the project ... dont ask like this type questions .. these are very confidential ...
I hope this is technical forum ..

  • Regarding business blue print

    Hi
i am working as a SAP SD consultant .the nature of business of my client is service industry.if any one can have sample sap sd business blue print u can send me the document.
pls help me in the issue, its career related issue
    Thanks & Regards
    Ramesh chandra

Business Blue Print consist of AS-IS & TO-BE Documentation.
We requir to analyse their organization stucture & design the same in acceptance with their approval.
AS-IS is the business process which is being followed. For Eg. XYZ company has a sales process such that they receive sales order --> Based on manual check of stock available they create an invoice --> after it is confirmed that material invoiced are completely available, they create delivery note. This would be the AS-IS Grossly. This process is to be documented as AS-IS.
In TO-BE, we will in most cases offer solution that as stock level is available in SAP, they follow the standard methodlogy of Sales Order --> Delivery --> Billing.
The above eg is just for breif idea. Similarly in SD there could be different methology adopted for Direct Sales, Dealer sales, Exports, Scrap sales, & other relevant sales scenario of the client.

  • Business Blue Print Document

    Hi,
can anybody mail me BBP, project configuraton document to my mail id
    <REMOVED>
    Thanks
    kumar

    Hi
BBP is the process called as business blue print . I t is one of the step in the ASAP methodology where the business requirement is understood by the implementation partner through the application consultants
that is the appliction consultatns directly asks the business about the process and there scenarioes and the application will map the same in the sap
here there are three main steps that shold be followed they are
    1. customer input template
    2.functional checklist
3 Question and answer data base
in the cstomer input template the application consultants we provide the business with some sort of requirement scenarioes so that the business can answer them in the template form, here it is in the ready made answers form so that the business can opt for the choice
in the question and anwer data base the aplication consultants ask the business for the special scenarioes and the process tat to be imlemented in the SAP
the output for the  BBP is the Business process procedure where the total implementation partner can understood the process and the business scenario fo the client and they are ready to implement in the net stage that is the realization phase

  • Business blue printing doubt

    Hi all,
i am doing an implementation (business blue printing phase)
I have a requirement from the business users they have given some KPIs and reports based on these
KPI's but i am not sure to which value they are actually looking at like we have sales quantity in controlling as well as in SD.
and also moving average price is in product costing ..so i have asked my functional consultants to give me the list of fields of the KPI's given by the business users
in an assumption that i can be sure that i will pick the right datasource if i exactly know the field.
am i on the right track r else am i unnecessarily wasting the time...will it be of any help to me please kindly confirm
    thanks and regards
    neelu

    Hello Neel,
yes. For eg. if the users are posting billing documents and want to report on sales values or quantities based on total billing docs posted, then you can use the datasource 2lis_13_vditm meant for billing.
you can also refer to best business practices for standard scenarios and try to match with the business reporting requirements.
You need to find out the exact transactions in R/3 based on which they want to carry out reporting. The transactions in R/3 mostly have standard datasources related to them.
for eg. purchase orders/scheduling agreements in R/3 will have datasources in applicatio component 02. The material movements posted including goods receipts, issues, stock transfers will have datasources within 03 applicatio component.
the billing docs can be seen in sales application components, whreas the quality notifications can be found in 05 appliation components.
check out rsa5 in R/3 for available datasources and check out the respective business content for standard cubes, queries available for these datasources.
    Hope it helps..
    thanks,
