Blue screen appears after macbook froze and restarting
yesterday my macbook froze after trying to copy some files onto my hd. so i restarted it and switched back on only to find that the apple logo screen stays there forever and the system won't load. so i tried the apple support article number 306857 and used option c without success. i cant use option a because i dont have another mac and option b i cant use because my cd drive is broken atm. so if someone would be kind enough to show me exactly how to setup the commands so i could do it correctly, becuase i really don't understand how to type out the commands.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1545 shows these steps.
Start up in single-user mode by *holding Command-S after restarting the computer*. Note that single-user mode always uses the US English keyboard layout.
*Type these commands, each on a single line followed by Return:*
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
rm -rf /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ApplicationEnhancer.bundle
reboot

Blue screen appears after installing Leopard and restarting
I tried to install Leopard on my MacBook but got the Blue screen after restarting. I found the apple support article number 306857 and tried option C without success. I don't have a firewire cable so option A is out. I don't know how to reinstall Leopard as Option B suggested. I can't get beyond the blue screen. Any suggestions?
The Apple site is under maintenance, so I can't check the details of the options, but I assume option C is the terminal, when you've started up in Safe Mode. This method worked for me on two machines. You need to type the commands precisely and exactly as they appear in the article, including spaces where appropriate.
To reinstall Leopard, start up with the installation disk in the drive, and when you hear the startup chime, hold down the C key on your keyboard. You need a USB keyboard. You should get the installation screen. -
There is always a blue screen appears after the Apple logo during the booting process. And then everything is back to normal. What is this thing? Is there something wrong with my screen or something?
Nah - that's just the normal boot process.

TS1541 a blue screen appears after a gray screen with the logo and the spinning gear
start up problem...a blue screen appears after the gray screen and the spinning gear
Try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk. You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Repair reports and if DU was able to repair them. This could just be a start in repairs and you may need a better utility to finish the job.
Then Repair Permissions.
No need to report any Permissions errors........we all get them.

Screen stuck on gray, used shift key and my screen appears with MacBook Pro and not the recovery option. Please help!
Hi ..
Shift key boots into Safe Mode, not Recovery.
This only works on a Mac running v10.7 Lion or later.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to repair the startup disk and restore OS X using OS X Recovery
If you can't boot into Recovery Mode, help here > Mac OS X: Gray screen appears during startup -
Blue screen appears during start up and freezes
During start up the apple logo appears and locks up. Re booting results in blue screen. After re booting 3 or 4 times finally boots fine.
If you are still not working properly you might want to try the recovery mode http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
It is a useful link to keep in mind. -
Using iPad mail program I have a draft of an email. I have attempted to "cancel" this and "delete draft" but the email stays on my screen. How can I exit this so that I can use other email functions?
Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
How to fix ipad 2 when blue screen appears after dropping it sideways?
I dropped my ipad 2 from my kitchen table to the seat of the wooden chair at the table. The ipad landed on it's side and now the screen is dark blue and I cannot see anything on it. I can hear the camera take pictures though. I tried a reset and even tried slapping it on the back like people said would fix it. These things did not work. I don't know what else to do...
Take it to Apple and purchase an out of warranty replacement for it

Abnormal Start-up Screen Appearing after wake from Sleep Restart
I have started to have this problem with my MacbookPro where I will come back and wake try and wake from sleep and nothing. The computer is off or unresponsive. Upon restart I get an abnormal start up screen which looks like this image that I snagged with my camera:
http://www.creativetantrum.com/screen.jpg
In all my years of using a Mac I have never seen anything like this. And the MBP never gets pass the screen I have to hard restart and it launches into this screen:
http://www.creativetantrum.com/startup.jpg
and runs through to the login screen.
Previously I have tried resetting the PRAM and SMC(?) as well as running Cocktail on the machine. Those sequences seemed to resolve the issue for at least a day. The only thing I have done that I can think may have caused this is I play a game called "Ouba" that runs in 640 x 480 or some low resolution that the MBP seems to resemble upon restart.
Also upon restart I am given an opportunity to send Apple a message regarding the crash. Here is what it sends:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A49CB): Unresolved kernel trap (CPU 0, Type 14=page fault), registers:

Any help would be fantastic.
Thanks.the settings are done via Terminal commands or through a widget (i know there is "deepsleep" and i think another)
you should be able to find the terminal command through reading about the different sleep modes, if not try goggling "changing sleep mode on mac" and that should show you. if you cant find it let me know and ill try to dig it back up.
the MBPs are standard with safe sleep, the older lap tops used quick sleep. there is not way to change them through the standard system in a GUI, it has to be done via code (very easy because you can just copy and paste it in)

Blue screen appears after sudden shut down
Product name: HP G56 Notebook PC
Error message something like "Boot" "Hard Drive" "Insert CD"Bootable device refers to the BIOS finding no device with a bootable operating system available.
You have a pretty recent notebook.
Try pressing the power button and then tapping the Esc key. That should get you into the Start menu. There should be an option to access BIOS or Diagnostics or the Recovery Manager.
F10 will invoke the BIOS and F2 should invoke the UEFI system diagnostic unless the hard disk has failed. The better choice would be F2. UEFI diagnostics are quite helpful in determining whay a notebook won't start up and boot into the operating system. There are also diagnostics available in the BIOS.
Did this happen when the notebook was in a low battery power state or when it was going into hibernation?
Have you ever updated the BIOS or run the HP system tuneup from within the Hp Support Assistant?

your 13-inch Mid 2009 MacBook Pro requires 1066 MHz RAM, but you have 1333 MHz RAM installed. Try replacing the 1333 MHz RAM with 1066 MHz RAM — Macs can be picky about the RAM which they find acceptable. -
My mackbook pro suddenly freezed and when I swiched off and on again, a grey screen appeared with an apple logo then a loading circle underneath, and after a few hours, a blue screen appeared. What shall I do with this?
What operating system version, and do you have any backups of your data off the machine? TimeMachine? Option Key bootable clones? Storage? DVD's?
A reinstall of the operating system may be in order as a last resort, so if any of these steps on these links get you into the machine, make sure to backup your personal data (Music, Pictures, Documents, Movies) off the machine to a non-encrypted powered external drive regular storage drive (not TimeMachine as it might be corrupted too) and disconnect as soon as possible.
Good Luck and report back all what you tried.
Also report what change occured before this tragedy happened, was there a Software Update? A EFI firmware update? Etc.

co'z i cant get a peace of mind with my unit!Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups -
Blue screen appears on startup and at shutdown
A few months ago, I bought a macbook pro and it was doing fine. But recently, every time it starts, a blue screen appears for a split second then it goes to log- in. Then, every time I shutdown, it will also show up for a split second then shutdown. It doesn't affect the computer but I'm just wondering how to stop it.
I couldn't rember what time it started so, I shut down my computer and the blue screen appereed at 8:39:28. But went I turned it on, the blue screen did not show. So, I turnned it of and on again and no blue screen. I did it several times and now the blue screen isn't showing. But I will post the test that showed in the concel during 8:39, when it powered of blue, to the time I powed it on, when the blue screen did not show. If you need more, I will try to give it to you. I'll post again if it shows up again. Also I should edit out ethernet address too right?
Here's what its says:
