Wireless stopped working after blue screen crash. Please help
Hi am desperate
I was working on vista doing some graphic job when suddenly the screen turned blue with some message and a count down like thing. After a while vista rebooted fine but since then my wireless is not working anymore.
I checked my device manager and everything is fine over there, driver installed correctly. But when i try to click on the power on button nothing happens and its not connecting or detecting to any wireless network.
Then i try to uninstall the device from device manager, as soon as the uninstallation was done, vista installed it back. I checked the power button again and it worked this time. The window opened up and i could see the avaible networks to connect to. As soon as i clicked on any one of them. Some service crashed and i got this

my side bar is crashing and after 10 minutes its blue and i can only switch between apps using alt+tab and every time i turn of and on my laptop i am starting with a 10 minutes of blue screen and only after that i can use my pc.
i cant run installer apps for software because the blue screen will pop up again.
my laptop has an recovery option so i can restart the pc like it was in the begining but now that option dont work.
i want some help because i dont want to wait 10 minutes for my pc to start and then switch between apps using alt+tab.
me- nitay pokrishevskiHi NitayPoker,
According to your description, the blue screen does not like a system crash issue, if this is a app crash issue, I suggest you to use App troubleshooter to check if it can detect and fix the problems:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=271185
A screenshot is very useful to understand the situation.
In the meantime, can you still use refresh option?

I am using an old computer but it has dual processors and 4 gb of ram. I am using Windows XP home edition, sp2 atm. I have a Galaxy 200 vid card, sound-blaster X-Fi, Gigabyte mother board. Atm, all I have is IE 6.
After the blue screen crash, I had trouble rebooting my computer. When I was able to reboot, the firefox 6.0 would not run and I could not uninstall it. I did a restore system and was finally able to uninstall it - at the time I still had the 5.0 installer on my desktop so I installed it- I don't have it now.
I tried the firefox 6.0 before I had gotten all the updates for sp3- as I have had trouble getting the last windows updates to install.
I am not a techie - what I have done is trial and error to try to get my software to work. I would either like to get a working version of firefox 6.0 or a safe download of firefox 4.0 as that worked and I had no problems with it.
Can you assist? Can you attach a screenshot or link to the instructions you are following?
You are on the 3.6 release and Firefox 7.0.1 is out. You can download and install the latest release from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ if you would like to update now. The 3.6 version will be maintained for a while longer, but you should update when you can. -
Clicking on firefox icon causes blue screen crash
This began Friday, Feb. 25, about mid day. The only changes to the system that morning were an update to an Adobe plugin, either Flash player or Shockwave, I'm not sure, and an update to the Scottrade Elite desktop trading app. Both of those changes occurred about 0900. The problems began about 1130 when the system, Windows 7 Home Premium had a blue screen crash. From that time on, I have uninstalled each of the apps mentioned. I cannot open Firefox to work on the plugins becuase every time I click on the icon I get a blue screen crash with the words "Page fault in non paged area" at the top. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the Firefox app with no apparent beneficial effect. The Scottrade trading app has been reinstalled and works well, causing no further probs.
Hello mrcart,
i think it is unlikely that firefox itself is causing an operating system crash, i had some time back an similar issue where a system of a friend of mine was crashing while using IE - thats the only app he used ... the system in his case had faulty ram, and i suspect you are facing some sort of hardware problem or faulty device driver.
Please read this (also lists steps what you can do):
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc957625.aspx
(personally) I would suggest you start by checking your ram, you can do this in two ways:
Search in your Windows 7 Start Menu for "ram", you should find something like "Diagnose your computer´s memory problems"
... Or, you use the memtest86+ tool from here (e.g. download the iso, burn it and boot from the cd):
http://www.memtest.org/
Check your eventlog for errors (e.g. disk errors, timeouts, etc).
If you cannot track the problem down (i would suspect a hardware problem or faulty device driver ... e.g. it could be your video card driver doing something wrong) you should seek help at your computer manufacturer, an experienced friend, or using some forum.
kind regards,
John Kirk. -
Hello, I recently have been getting a lot of blue screen crashes simultaneously. I haven't downloaded any games or anything. I just use this laptop for school work mostly. I already ran a memory diagnostic test and no problems found as well as restored my
computer to a month back to when it wasn't having any problems. Anyways, this the problem details:

These were all Related to NETwNs64.sys Wireless WiFi Link Driver from Intel Corporation (yours is 5 years old). I would remove the current driver and install the newest driver available.
If you continue to crash Remove McAfee and use MSE in its place.

Blue screen crash reinstalling quicktime on notebook
Can anyone help? for a month and a half I have been trying to reinstall quicktime and itunes on my toshiba window xp laptop. Everytime I get a blue screen crash at the end of the quicktime install around where it says something like initializing quicktime types. When I submit this error to microsoft the report says it is due to Antivirus software, I am running Window onecare live. I have tried every fix I can find out there including removing onecare and I still get the crash. I really do not care to rebuild the system. Please help, I am getting tired of the music on my ipod! Thx
I have been having this "problem" since running a QuickTime update in January 2007. I've spent countless hours de-installing anti-virus software, minimizing my hardware footprint (removing printers, scanners, etc.), detoxing my system with Microsoft Uninstallers, Registry Cleaners, and running Windows XP in a minimized manner.
On Thursday April 10, 2008 I spent four hours on the telephone with a competent, qualified Microsoft XP engineer (plus an XP supervisor in the background). Microsoft was very diligent and completely hospitable working with me to resolve this issue. In the end, Microsoft recommended I talk with Apple directly.
On Friday April 11, 2008 I spent one hour with an Apple engineer. Once again, the customer service was excellent, but the results are the same. Microsoft and Apple engineers are "Befuddled". We've tried eliminating all Apple software from my PC via files and the registry, rebooting, and then attempting a fresh install. The PC reboots when "Initializing Quicktime Types" is displayed towards the end of the installation process.
We've even set up a new user and attempted to install Quicktime on a USER with no associated "software overhead". No success.
I've tried the Quicktime Only install, and Quicktime with Itunes installation. Same results. I am taking my PC to Baybrook Mall (Friendswood, Texas) on April 20 for the MAC Genius Bar people to review this problem on my PC. My expectations are very low... since I'm usually much more PC and XP competent than most people. My background occupation is Information Technology from 1975 to date. I evened owned and operated computer stores with "New Build" and "Repair" shops. I'm very seasoned working on PC's and associated software, and this is the first problem where I join the "Befuddled".
If anyone has a solution for this problem, please contact me and make a posting for everyone else.
Thanx. -
Blue screen crash when hooking up iPhone
I have had my iPhone for a few months now and have only been able to hook up my phone to my husband's (far inferior) laptop. Whenever I hook my phone up to my Sony Vaio desktop I get a blue screen crash and the whole system starts rebooting. Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do about it? I called Apple support and after reinstalling iTunes they said they didn't know. They said it might be a driver issue but I don't really want to start removing random drivers as I don't want to lose functionality of my computer and I don't know which driver might be causing this...
PLEASE HELP ME!!Which USB port are you connecting to on the Vaio, what else is connected to USB, and have you checked Sony's site for updated USB root drivers?

B570 - Windows 8 - Blue screen crash & energy management error
I upgraded to windows 8 on the day it came out in the uk with no problems, some of my apps had to be reinstalled but nothing major.
the bluetooth app had to be uninstalled, never use it so not a major issue. the energy managment error just pops up on each start and i just click run without help. Seems to work fine, but would prefer for it not to have to ask me this.
Anyway everything looked to be okay and then i got the blue screen crash. Said something about a kernal crash. This has happened about every 2 days now since the install and is very annoying, just happens very randomly even when the laptop is really fast.
I spoke to lenovo's support team and they said new drivers will be installed automatically and it should resolve. It hasnt.
Was just wondering if there is any fix for this? any new drivers out that have to be installed, or bios settings anything?
Please help. ThanksSatellite C850-19Q (PSCBYE-00L00GY4) <- from Croatia

X131e - frequent blue screen crashes
Every few days, my wireless device disconnects or camera freezes (while im skyping) and the laptop goes to a blue screen crash. Once restarted the laptop works fine again but it is really annoying to have a laptop going into a blue screen crash every few days. Any advice? Anybody else experience this?
ThanksHi
Welcome to the community.
As per your concern frequent Blue screen appears while freezing the system. To diagnose, I would suggest you to please update the graphics driver and the Bios of your system from the below mentioned web link.
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?
After this, please restart the system and check if the issue resolved.

Blue screen, crashes, freezes after ios 7.1 iphone 5s
I've been using iphone 5s 64gb A1530 starting December 2013 without any problems. But after updating to 7.1 I faced blue screen crashes and freezes.
Few sort of problems:
1. blue screen appears then goes to gray and iphone falls asleep.
2. blue screen appears then restarts then blue screen then restarts and loops until I will be successful with soft reset.
I've been googling a lot for this problem and the solutions I tried didn't help:
1. I switched of iCloud data copy.
2. I restored from backup iCloud.
3. I restored from backup iTunes.
4. I restored as factory (unfortunately it still comes with 7.1)
Nothing did help. Could you please give me advise how I can downgrade back to 7.0.6 or 7.0.5? Such resets are really annoying (over 20 times per day)
In diagnosis part from Preferences I have a lot of kernel reports. If there is any way to heal my iphone or it's time to trash it?Finally Apple replaced the device with the new one. Service guy in Apple store tried to recover it from DFU mode but failed.
I got no idea what ios7.1 brought to my iphone that after 4 months of normal usage it became a blue screen piece of metal. And maybe another app or virus crashed the hardware. -
Blue Screen Crashes in Windows Server 2008
Our Windows 2008 server which has been running fine for several years now has started to record a series of blue screen crashes in the past week, almost daily. Our hosting company ran a chkdsk and didn't find any errors. The also ran an sfc scan which
they said identified and fixed several system files, however we are still seeing blue screen crashes.
I have put the minidump from the latest crash in my public skydrive folder at -
https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=446280106bb642de#cid=446280106BB642DE&id=446280106BB642DE%21140
Can anyone help me identify the problem that is causing the blue screen crashes?
Thanks,
Gary

Blue screen crashes with specifc error starting to show up on restart
I keep getting blue screen crashes and as I start up the system I get this error constantly.
c:\users\computeruser\appdata\roaming\newnext.me\nengine.dll error can you please send me a fix for this issue. In order to assist you, we will need the .DMP files to analyze what exactly occurred at the time of the crash, etc.
If
you don't know where .DMP files are located, here's how to get to them:
1. Navigate
to the %systemroot%\Minidump folder.
2. Copy any and all
DMP files in the Minidump folder to your Desktop and then zip up these files.
3. Upload
the zip containing the .DMP files to Onedrive or a hosting site of your choice and paste in your reply. Prefered sites: Onedrive, Mediafire, Dropbox, etc. Nothing with wait-timers.
4 (optional): The type
of .DMP files located in the Minidump folder are known as Small Memory Dumps. In %systemroot% there will be what is known as a Kernel-Dump (if your system is set to generate). It is labeled MEMORY.DMP. The difference between Small Memory Dumps and Kernel-Dumps
in the simplest definition is a Kernel-Dump contains much more
information at the time of the crash, therefore allowing further debugging of your issue. If your upload speed permits it, and you aren't going against any strict bandwidth and/or usage caps, etc, the Kernel-Dump is the best choice. Do note that Kernel-Dumps
are much larger in
size due to containing much more info, which is why I mentioned upload speed, etc.
If
you are going to use Onedrive but don't know how to upload to it, please visit the following:
Upload
photos and files to Onedrive.
Please note that any "cleaner" programs such as TuneUp Utilities, CCleaner, etc, by default
will delete .DMP files upon use.
If
your computer is not generating .DMP files, please do the following:
1. Start > type %systemroot%
which should show the Windows folder, click on it. Once inside that folder, ensure there is a Minidump folder created. If not, CTRL-SHIFT-N to make a New Folder and name it Minidump.
2. Windows key + Pause
key. This should bring up System. Click Advanced System Settings on the left > Advanced > Performance > Settings > Advanced > Ensure there's a check-mark for 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drives'.
3. Windows key + Pause
key. This should bring up System. Click Advanced System Settings on the left > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings > System Failure > ensure there is a check mark next to 'Write an event to the system log'.
Ensure Small Memory Dump is selected and ensure the path is %systemroot%\Minidump.
4. Double check that
the WERS is ENABLED:
Start > Search > type services.msc > Under the name tab, find Windows Error Reporting Service > If the status of the service is
not Started then right click it and select Start. Also ensure that under Startup Type it is set to Automatic rather than Manual. You can do this by right clicking it, selecting properties, and under General selecting startup type to 'Automatic', and then click
Apply.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome? Sometimes a glitch will occur during the original install. This can cause the problem that you are experiencing.
Also, you may want to try Internet Explorer or Firefox to see if you receive the same error message. This will tell you if it is a problem with Chrome or a system problem.
