Blue screen, mouse battery image

Bought a white Macbook, just over a year old. Replaced the hard drive to a compatible 320gb WD Scorpio Blue and 4GB Ram.
Tried to install Leopard on it. Usually tone, Apple sign, then spinning circle....then it pauses a bit to a blue screen with then a picture with a grey background, and an image in white of two mice 1 and 2 asking me to replace the batteries. Firstly this is a laptop and I dont have an external mouse for it.
Either way the cursor doesnt move and the keyboard appeards not to work either.
Any ideas?

What disc are you using to install Leopard on the machine? Did the computer come with any discs?
My computer is just over a year old and came with Leopard installed.

  • Blue Screen & mouse frozen after sleep

Problem: After my G5 PowerPC tower wakes up from sleep, the mouse will not work. After approx. 1 minute, my screen goes blue and the computer is frozen.
This all seemed to start immediately after I did the most recently iPhone software and iTunes update--don't know if its just a coincidence or not, but that's when it started.
I've done the Disk Utility fix and then a Install & Archive from the Install disk (OS 10.5), Nothing. Its still doing this crash ONLY after the computer wakes up from sleep.
Does this mean I have to do a complete fresh reinstall of the OS and start from scratch???
    H E L P ! ! ! ! ! !

I just bought the magic mouse and did the new update (Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0) for it to work on my machine. I also updated my iTunes at the same time. Everything seemed to work fine until my computer went to sleep. I woke the computer and my desktop showed up just fine, then about 5 seconds later I got the blue screen.
The only thing I have been able to do is just do a hard reset. I repaired my disk permissions and the same problem continues.
I tried the advice above (create a new user account) but that did not work.
    Any ideas...

  • Blue screen on new iphone 6 plus

Just brought this phone for about a month, and today, when I'm taking photos(front lens), right after i tapped the shooting button, it crashed and the screen gone blue. The phone reboots itself right after, but after the reboot I've noticed my battery was draining VERY FAST, like 2% every 5 mins without any heavy-apps on, within a half hour my battery went out from ~80% to 57%, I soon charge it, and the battery level went up to 60% immediately.
Besides the blue screen and battery issue i've found, my front lens also has some problem, it's that every time when i'm taking photos(front lens again) on my sofa(which is brown in color), some of the photo would have a weird color, like having a part of area in black and white, and some in a more orange-ish tone in one photo.
I wonder if the crash has anything to do with the camera problem i had, is it a hardware problem?Or software?Or anyone having similar experience like ME??

I had a 5s phone that blue screened as well. At first it would just happen once every few weeks so I didn't think it was a problem. But then it happend more and more frequent to the point were it just locked up and was just rebooting constantly and then the phone became unusable. Hopefully you don't have a defective phone, but if the problem persists, I would just take it in and get a new one.

  • MacBook Pro "15 2011 model has started crashing. Symptoms: screen distortion/images fragmenting/blue screening. Help!

    Hi everyone!
I currently own a Macbook Pro '15, 4gb that was purchased in early 2011 running Snow Leopard (my version is currently 10.6.8). For under the past 3 year it has been heavily reliable, and I have not ran in to any software, or hardware issues. However, over the past 3 or so months I have been having issues.
During May 2014 through to present date I have started experiencing screen glitches. It first began with image distortion, causing the whole system to crash, which would mean I would have to turn it off and reboot the system. Later this turned into a series of screen blurring (consisting of images fragmenting all over the place) and then finally followed with 2 weeks of blue screening on start up, meaning that I could not get into my log user unless I entered safe mode. I should also mention that I have no third party issues.
After doing some considerable research on apple forums I did what had to be done. In the last two weeks I have wiped my MacBook Pro, re-installed the OS and considered that it was now a process of elimination. For the first week the software seemed to been running smoothly, I wasn't having any failings until I hit the second week – of course, the glitches began all over again and I faced two in the space of a half hour (first my screen split into two during listening to music on spotify with no other applications open in the background, shortly after rebooting I faced a much worse case of my Mac completely dark blue screening with white lines.)
Now, once again, it only works 'well' on safe mode. I did a check in both modes. Left my computer idle with no programmes running for a half hour and the same thing happened with the screen, went black for a moment, moved the mouse and I received a fragmented screen again. I'm completely fed up at this point, considering I have the bare minimal amount on my Mac, I honestly can't fathom how it's come to this.
Now considering my model is not even three years old at this stage you can fully understand my frustration since I heavily rely on my laptop for educational purposes, which is making it very difficult to be able to concentrate on any of my studies. If anything, it is causing a great deal of stress. With my product being out of warranty I don't have an obscene amount of money to pay for a new one. When I already paid roughly £1,699 for the product in the first place.
The worst thing is, I've even done a EtreCheck, this was yesterday (the most recent/last time it was in use)

I've had a look to book an appointment at the Genius Bar, but would you believe it, there are no available appointments at my local store! I really would appreciate if anyone could offer any assistance in how to lodge a formal complaint? My days rely on being able to do my work, so whilst I have tried to book a reservation I am at a loss, and pretty much screwed having a Mac that I clearly cannot use functionally.
If anyone can provide any help, I'd be absolutely most grateful!

I have done what you suggested. However, I have to disagree with you about the 'third party' comment. Although those minor issues were on there which I picked up on shortly afterwards, they were easily removed. It hasn't CHANGED the symptoms I described about my mac. Both items are removed (growl only tends to make your mac 'lag' and that's not the problem I'm having)
I am still having all the above issues, regardless of my mac being fully minus third party items. This mac hasn't had any heavy use, or had many applications installed on it ect, there is really no reason for it to be failing. I'd understand if it was old, but it's literally only just passed being 3 years old.
If you can provide any more help that would be appreciated, thank you!

  • Portg R500 - Blue Screen and keyboard mouse are not working

    Hi All,
I am using windows XP, well I was not any more due to below problem.
Laptop blue screened and now any time it goes to windows xp screen blue screen comes and reboot the system. Its not working in safe mode at all. Keyboard any mouse are not working. I cannot even go to BIOS.
I tried to plug a USB keyboard but still its same. I cannot even boot from CD.
Please could some one advise what do I need to do in order to resolve the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,
How you can test it in safe mode if keyboard doesnt work? I mean before Windows starts you have to press F8 key and then go down to select safe mode. Therefore you need the keyboard
In your case I would try to remove the battery and AC/DC adapter for at least one hour. Then connect both devices again and make sure battery is fully charged. Start your notebook and try accessing the BIOS setup and load the default settings.
If Windows doesnt start you have to do a recovery installation I think. Some Windows files might be muddled up

On startup Mac Pro I get a blue screen and a cursor on the upper left. The mouse cursor shows up independently. Is it likely a video card failure?

I managed to boot the computer and get the desktop to show. I now have a "repaired" computer. There are several problems that have cropped up. One is that I can only start up now in Safe Boot mode. Is there a way to turn it off? Also, I do not have a sound list, so I can't access anything requiring audio. Google Chrome only shows up as a white screen. Pictures that loaded before don't load in browsers, etc. Any suggestions? I figure I should reinstall Mac OS Lion for starts, maybe even do a mirror backup and reformat the drive. I think this drive has turned into scrambled eggs...what a headache!

You won't lose any data unless you erase your hard drive.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive and reboot. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c"key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up). That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it.When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've selected the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.

  • HELP! OS X won't boot - Blue Screen at startup... No mouse, nothing...

I have a PowerMac G4 MDD running OSX 10.4.8 (or 9)... About a month ago, it suffered a kernel panic, and upon restarting, it wouldn't load OS X. Now whenever I start the computer, it displays the white screen with the Apple logo and the spinning gear, then it switches to a solid blue screen and stays there. There is no mouse on the screen and the keyboard is unresponsive.
The computer will boot in safe mode. I have tried removing login items in the account preferences and third party items from the StartupItems folders. But still, I get the blue screen.
I've tried resetting the PRAM. I booted from the install disc and repaired the startup disk. It said no repairs were necessary. I've repaired permissions on the disk as well. I also booted from the Hardware Test disc, but still, nothing.
Yesterday I did an Archive and Install from my Tiger install disc, hoping that this would fix things, but it didn't. As a last resort, I'm considering wiping the hard drive and doing a fresh install of OS X.
Does anyone have any advice? Has this happened to you too? Does this sound like a hardware or software problem?
    PowerMac G4 MDD   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Do you have a firewire external drive, or other bootable backup? Try booting from another drive & see if the problem persists. Run Disk Warrior while booted from its CD, or from an alternate drive. I don't think it will help, though, because Archive & Install should create a new directory. If the problem persists when booting from an alternate system, you most likely have a hardware problem. You could install a fresh copy of OS X on your alternate drive to make sure (but not if it's your only backup!).

  • My iPod Touch is either a blue screen or shows the battery as drained with red at the front and a white lightening bolt below it. It is plugged in to charge, but won't.

I tried holding down both buttons and it will temp. turn off, then show the apple, then a narrow white line goes from left to right and then the blue screen stays on. I am not that familiar with dealing with electronic devices so please keep any instructions as simple as possible, thanks. T

Also, if youy can't turn the iPod off (screen off) then try letting the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the articles again.

  • Blue screen RAM full due to image dispose

    Hello,
I have a a problem with my RAM memory getting to full and my computer gets a blue screen and then crashes.
I am using 2010 LV and Vision Module 2010.
I suspect that images are being stored into RAM memory and are then not deleted. So RAM memory is increasing and after about 200 pictures RAM gets to 3,5GB+.
I know that that I have to dispose the image with image dispose.vi when it is created with image create.vi. But still the RAM capacity is growing.
You can see that the vision assistants are working one after an other, so could that be the problem ? Do vision assistants do their own copies and don't delete them ?
Please see the attached GrabF.vi and sub vi.
    Please advise..
    Best regards, Marko

    Dear Marko,
    I went through your application.
I have seen that you are doing some image processing in a flat sequence structure.
Please group all the functions in subVIs and try to run each subVI and look at memory usage.
1.Is this behaviour happening when a certain limit of RAM is reached?
    2. Did you deactivate the swap system?
    3. Have you checked your RAM for defects ?
Normally, from one express VI to annother the thing you pass is just a reference to the image.
Also I would like, if you have time, to explain what are you trying to do in your application and to try to translate into english the comments, if possible.
    Best regards,
    Cristi

Hi - Thanks for you help in advance....
Trouble installing Leopard - here is the sequence I am stuck in - I have tried 5 times to install...
    1. Turn on computer with disk in - gray screen with apple comes up.
    2. Blue screen appears for a while.
    3. Gray screen requesting removal of batteries from mouse comes up. I remove batteries and flick switch. The arrow prompting me to continue never becomes clickable.
    4. Screen turns black and cd still runs.
I have tried looking at support articles....thank you very much for any ideas!

  • Hdv pixelating image with blue screen

I am rendering interview footage with two people in front of two keyed images. I shot all the footage 30fps on my Sony v1u. When rendering one of the keyed interview images is pixelating for one frame at seemingly random locations. The latest time it happened was when I put a title over it. Once i rendered the title, the keyed image pixelated for one frame. When I did clip disable, the frame pixelation went away. Here is a link to both images. i am editing on a octocore mac pro with a Radeon X1600 graphics card adn 4gb of ram.

You haven't said what your final output is. Is it SD DVD or SD for broadcast or HD for broadcast? The workflow at this point depends on what you need to deliver. I would export as much of a finished sequence as you can, leaving a hole for the blue screen portion to be inserted after you re-import the self contained .mov (converted sequence) back into FC. Make another sequence placing raw over sized clips you need for the blue screen and export(to a self contained .mov) to the same final codec and re-import to FC. Then make a new final sequence and edit in the blue screen media and export to Color.

  • Blue Screen no mouse

I have a G4 1GHz flat panel iMac running OSX 10.3.9. Earlier I had a kernel panic. Upon rebooting, the screen goes from the apple screen to a blank blue screen. No mouse, can't open up the disc drive.
I tried starting it in safe mode. When I try that the wheel merely spins a little longer and freezes without getting to the blue screen.
I then tried to start up in single user mode to use fsck. I was able to do that, but fsck was unable to discover any problems.
Is there anything else I can do?
    Thanks.
