Blue Screen of Death on iPad Air Video
Hi All,
Like many, I received a shiny new iPad air on Christmas morning!
I unboxed my new pride and joy and dutifully set about getting myself all set up and installing the usual apps.
All was going well until it crashed and rebooted.I thought nothing of it at first, but then it happened again and again and again.
Since Unboxing it has crashed 30 or 40 times and has now taken to crashing then rebooting into the ‘Blue screen of death’!!
After I have forced the iPad to reboot from the BSOD, it then boots into the apple logo but as you can see below all is not right.
I have tried restoring and installing a fresh version of 7.0.4 via iTunes and starting over as a new user, but still the BSOD returns.
I have linked to the video below to show my BSOD in action....
Any ideas guys n gals?

One Twitter feed causes white screen of death on iPad Air
II have a problem viewing ANY tweet from @NRO or @NROcorner. Whenever I click on a link in either of these tweets, within 10 seconds the screen clears so all I see is the white screen of death.
ANy idea what causes this?
note, this is on an iPad air that was just updated to IOS 8.1.3When I connect it the computer doesn't even recognize it now. I tried DFU mode but it just goes straight to the white screen from the apple logo. Apple logo is only up for maybe 3-5 seconds max. I tried to put it into DFU mode but it won't go :-/. It's looking like I'll be making a trip to the apple store. When I went to update it said it worked and was rebooting but when it rebooted it gave me the tether logo on the screen saying to connect to itunes. So I did that and it looped like this like 4 or 5 times and then just went white screen on me :-/

Hardware Acceleration Causes Blue Screen of Death - Resolution?
My computer running Windows 7 64 bit started crashing with Blue Screen of Death when Viewing YouTube videos or other videos like The Daily Show. The "solution" was to turn off hardware acceleration.
The crashing appears to have stopped, but now the video quality is degraded and jerky, to the point that the video can just freeze while the audio continues. So either I crash or I have poor video playback.
Has anyone found a solution to the BSOD that would enable me to re-activate hardware acceleration?
Symptoms with hardware acceleration enabled: Computer will crash after playing a handful of YouTube or other online Flash videos. Exact number of successful playbacks varies, but it will usually crash somewhere around the sixth playback (I cruise YouTube the way other cruise Wikipedia.) The screen will first flash black on one video, and when the next video starts, the computer crashes.
Computer Details
iMac 27" running Bootcamp
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit w/ all updates
Processor: Intel i7
Memory: 16 GB
Display Adapter: AMD Radeon HD 6970M - Driver is up to date
ThanksHi Chris, thanks for responding.
Browser: IE9 64 bit, and Firefox 17.0.1
Dxdiag attached, but are you wanting a version of this after hardware acceleration has been re-enabled and a crash has occurred?
Thanks,
Steve

JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 Blue Screen of Death on Windows 7 64-bit
Hi,
I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 on a Windows 7 (64-bit) machine. Whenever I try and use the PgUp or PgDn keys or even use the main vertical scrollbar it produces a Blue Screen of Death. Saying the Video Scheduler has encountered an unexpected error.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix?
Thanks
MartinKind of old this version, but I cab run the 10.1.3.3 version on my win7 64bit system withotu a problem. Only thing I changed was the theme (not sure which one as I don't have access to the pc right now).
Can be a problem with your hardware. Check if there are newer version of graphic drivers availabe.

Oh, and don't try to run it with jdk 1.6 or 1.7. Use the jdk bundeled with jdev -
Iplad locked up... blue screen (of death?)
Was working with my iPad last night (1st generation) and it locked up... tried re-booting multiple times holding both buttons for 10 seconds... all that happens is apple logo on black screen. This morning, tried again... apple logo stays on screen for 3-4 minues and then blue screen (of death?). iPad is about a year and a half old... any thoughts?

Ipad 2 is getting a blue screen of death
Just a couple of days ago, my Ipad has started getting a blue screen of death. It gets a blue screen, and then shuts itself off. When it restarts, it's unresponsive for about 4-5 minutes before letting me using it again. When it lets me use it again, I have about 10 minutes before it starts all over. I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed whether hardware or software is the problem. I definitely don't want to have to spend $700 for the new iPad as good as it may be. I'm also serving in Manama, Bahrain for the next couple of years, and this island is no where near an Apple store.
I would try to reset the iPad via iTunes, I don't think the problem is software based thou. I once had a mac mini which behaved simularly, the problem disapered when I changed the RAM, this isn't possible on the iPad thou.
In the end, you probably have to do what Johnathan states.
edit: I dont know if it's still this way, but ealier Apple have been giving world wide warrenty on thier mobile devices.

Updating AVI Video Drivers results in blue screen of death
Creating a CD in Premiere 9 resulted in the program closing. I was told to update video and sound drivers. First I used the option in Device Manager, then I used DriverUpdate. The computer now frequently gets the "blue screen of death," with reference to an infinite loop because of ATI2DVAG. I want to download the drivers myself after deleting the current drivers. The first field on the ATI site gives me the choice of desktop graphics, notebook graphics, TV tuner graphics, workstation graphics, integrated motherboard, embedded and MAC. I chose DESKTOP. I have Windows XP Professional and I also have Linux installed; my video card is ATI Radeon HD 4250.
In the second field I chose Radeon HD Series. In the third field I chose Radeon HD 4xxx Series PCle. In the fifth field I chose XP 32.
This brings me to a page which has three tabs: Catalyst Software Suite (with one download), Individual Downloads (five downloads) and Optional Downloads (five downloads). I think the first is the one I want. It comes with the warning that Framework 1.1 Service Pack from Microsoft, dated August 30, 2004, must be installed. I have no reason to believe that my service packs are not up-to-date; I have service pack 3.
The Catalyst Software Suite, with the one download, is 11.6. I think I now have 11.2 (I found this in the Catalyst Control Center from the icon on the bottom of my screen). In my Device Manager it says: 8.821.0.0 released January 26, 2011, PCl busl, device5, function 0, internal version 8.821.
It looks as if the program I bought, DriverUpdate, did not install the latest release. I think my best bet is to delete the current driver and install the Catalyst
Software Suite 11.6. Is this the right thing to do?I agree with John that those driver updater programs can cause more problems than they fix. I gave up on them a long time ago.
But if one of them were giving me the blue screen of death, I'd be very concerned! Blue screens, even on Windows computers, have rarely been seen since the days of Windows ME.
Rather, you'd be best to just manually go to Windows Update and ensure you have even the non-critical updates. That fixes about 99% of your computer. Though occasionally I go to the ATI or nVidia sites manually and get the latest drivers for my video card. And of course I go to Apple.com to ensure I have the latest version of Quicktime, which plays an important role in all PC-based computer editing.
Beyond that, I'd run iobit's excellent, free PC tune-up tool Advanced System Care. It's one of the few tune-up programs I do trust -- and it tunes up everything with just a click or two.
http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
And if you're STILL having problems, please give us more information about your system and your project.
What operating system are you running? How fast is your processor and how much free, defragmented space is on your C drive?
What kind of camcorder is your video coming from? When you started your Premiere Elements project, which settings did you select? -
Blue screen of death? I just updated my MacBook Air with the latest OX (25 Jun 11). When I restart - I get the Apple logo and then a blue screen and nothing else. Help!!!
Insert the install disk and press c on startup. Select your langauge then, if there's a menubar click utilities then click Disk Utility. If you didn't see the menubar continue with the installer until you see it.
Once in disk utitly select the drive and repair permissions.
After the repair is done, quit the utiltiy.
You can try to reboot and see if it works if you reboot, but if it doesn't repeat the same as before again.
Now you can continue with the installer and install the os.

IPad crashes PC laptop with blue screen of death when syncing
I just got a brand new iPad and I cannot sync a bunch of songs or photos without it just completely shutting down my laptop (PC)and giving me the "blue screen of death". I tried reinstalling iTunes, disconnecting any USB connections I may have and completely updating my lappy...but nothing works! Why can't apple just make something as simple as "syncing" work? Do I have to buy a Mac in order for my iPad to work properly?! Please help me out with this syncing problem.
Hello iPadgirl777,
And welcome to Apple Discussions!

Blue screen of death when installing Adobe Air
I'm trying to install Adobe Flash CS6 and Adobe Air along with it. About 10 seconds after pressing "install", my computer shows the blue screen of death for a split second, and then restarts.
To my knowledge, I do not have Folder Lock. I also cannot find any windrvNT.sys in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder, even after turning on the "show hidden files and folders" option.
Using Windows XPRaymon_Zheng111 does your computer meet or exceed the system requirements for Flash CS6 listed at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-flash-professional.h tml#Flash%20Professional%20CS6%20system%20requirements.

Blue screen of death while installing any Adobe Air application
Whenever I try to install an Air application I get a Blue Screen and then my system restarts.
I cannot even take a screenshot of it.
This happens with every air application I try to install.
I also searched for the same on Adobe forums and found the same problem being faced by someone else.
His problem was resolved by uninstalling a software named "Folder Lock".
I searched my hard disk for this software and found one, so I deleted that software (shift+delete) and removed all it's traces from registry too but that still doesn't solved the problem.
I also tried disabling the antivirus software and then install the air application but this also didn't helped.
I was able to install air applications earlier, but now I can't.
Anybody having same sort of problem. One colleague of mine is also having the same problem.
Please help me out.
My system's config is as follows:
Windows XP Home sp3
Flash Builder 4, with SDK 4.1, 3.5 installed in it.
Adobe Air v 2.5
1.5 GB RAM
1.66 MHz processor
ThanksHello chris,
Thank you for taking out your time to solve my problem.
I did all the steps mentioned in that link i.e. installed folder lock and uninstalled it from it's options only.
But it didn't solve my problem.
Here is the screenshot of the Blue Screen Of Death that I was presented while the application was being installed.
The BSOD appeared while the application install progress is shown to the end user.
I hope this will help you get more insight of the issue.
Thanks -
After updating my ipad mini retina to 8.1.2, my device experiences blue screen of death at random times. It is so annoying plus there are applications that keeps on crashing such as brother in arms by gameloft so i have no choice but to reinstall it all over again.. But after quite some time the apps will crash again.. Argh it's a cycle. so annoying..
Hi It sounds like a bug. Go to settings iCloud backup over your WiFi Then Restore back to Factory Settings. After Restore use same Apple ID then you will get all your apps & data back. Do Restore over your WiFi. Since ios 7 Almost everything can be done over WiFi you don't need to use your PC. Cheers Brian

Installing AIR application gives blue screen of death
I tried installing an Adobe AIR application called HelloWorld.air from a book entitled "Adobe Flex 3 Training from the Source", and I would get the Windows' blue screen of death. I've seen others post about this, so I know I am not alone. My operating system is Windows XP Professional SP 2 and above.
This issue is preventing me from even getting into Adobe AIR application development, and I was wondering when a fix for this will be made. I tried downloading the Adobe AIR runtime again, but it is still the same byte size as the previous one I downloaded, so I'm assuming it's still the same one (since it doesn't state any version number).
Is there anyone who has had this problem and was eventually able to work with Adobe AIR? Any response would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks.I remember when I was getting BSODs the first time I tried installing an
.AIR application on my laptop, I got that "Send Error Report" window from
Microsoft, and I had clicked to send it. It came back with a report stating
that this was being caused by anti-virus software. This time around, I
turned off my anti-virus software (from CA, or Computer Associates) I
downloaded your application and tried to install it, and once again, I only
got as far as where I could select to save an icon to my desktop and/or to
launch the application after install, and when I clicked the "Install"
button, I got the BSOD right away.
I went the extra mile this time though. I installed Adobe AIR and your
application on another desktop that is totally clean with absolutely no
antivirus software whatsoever, not even a software firewall. I got the same
BSOD at the exact same spot.
I know Adobe knows about this because of a past thread I had not only read,
but responded to as well. It's just unfortunate it hasn't been fixed yet
because I'm really raring to start writing Adobe AIR apps.
By the way, Damon, your app looks nice, I just wish I had been able to
install it to see what it's all about. Lastly, thank you for responding to
my issue. I will report this as a bug on that link you gave me.

Blue screen of death on Toshiba P755-S5375 with ADOBE ENCORE CS6
I recently purchased a new laptop and installed Adobe Master Collection CS6. I purchased the laptop for video capture and editing, as well as for blu-ray authoring.
Unfortunately, although the computer and software works fine for video capture and editing, I am unable to author a blu-ray. For authoring, I am using Adobe’s Encore CS6. After checking and previewing my creation, I attempt to build to disc using Encore. About 2 seconds after clicking the build disc in Encore, I get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). This happens every time I try to build to blu-ray (only blu-ray has this issue; I am able to build to a DVD). I am using an external blu-ray drive on USB 3.0.
I am using Encore version 6.0.0.492
Here are the blu-ray drive specs:

You can prevent the rapid disappearance of the blue screen during a normal boot by choosing this at the F8 Startup menu.

Blue screen of death when building blu-ray in Encore CS6
