Blue screen of death when syncing verizon I phone
I receive a blue screen of death when I try to sync my I phone 4 with I tunes on my laptop. The initial sync went fine, I am connected to my Exchange server for email and have downloaded CD's to I Tunes, when I try to sync...blue screen. I have run registry fix and virus programs and have no errors. Does anyone know how to fix this?
The first response was correct, the computer (xps 1210) used a logitech camera driver that I did not recognize so I deleted it. The software was still active and crashed the computer. Fix was reinstall logitech software and driver. Updating the driver would have probably worked. Thank you!

Blue Screen Of Death When Syncing Ipod
Hey so if anyone can help me i will love you so much,
So I have a 20GB fourth generation ipod (old i know) but it works fine, and i have an new HP laptop that i got for christmas and like for a good 2 months everything was fine with itunes and then one time it told me i needed to restore my ipod to factory settings and i was like oh this is annoying but whatever ive done it before so i just did it, but the next time i tried syncing my ipod the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH came up and that scared me but i thought maybe it was just a one time thing...turns out it wasnt and now every time i try to sync my ipod the blue screen comes up and i have to restart my computer. my itunes otherwise works fine i listen to music on it and add music to itunes perfectly fine just the syncing doesnt work. I also thought maybe it could be my ipod because it is old so i went down to my desktop which has XP and and older version of itunes but it worked completly fine. SOOOOOOOOOOO i have no idea what to do. i dont know tons about computers but im not ******** and can most likely follow directions so if anyone could help me it would be much apreciated because i can not take listening to the god awful radio in the car much longer.Have you tried System Restore to go back to before the problem started?
If that fixes the Blue Screen Of Death issue, then you can try and track down the changes from then to when the problem started.
Good Luck. -
IPad crashes PC laptop with blue screen of death when syncing
I just got a brand new iPad and I cannot sync a bunch of songs or photos without it just completely shutting down my laptop (PC)and giving me the "blue screen of death". I tried reinstalling iTunes, disconnecting any USB connections I may have and completely updating my lappy...but nothing works! Why can't apple just make something as simple as "syncing" work? Do I have to buy a Mac in order for my iPad to work properly?! Please help me out with this syncing problem.
Hello iPadgirl777,
And welcome to Apple Discussions!
First of all, you posted this in the *6th Generation iPod Nano* forum, when you should have posted it in the iPad forum.
Anyways, check out this Apple support document related to your issue.

Blue Screen of Death when syncing with iTunes. Please HELP!
I have noticed a few others experiencing this problem as well.
http://www.everythingiphone.com/forum/windows-pc-and-iphone/blue-screen-error-wh en-i-plug-the-phone-into-my-xp-laptop-3038.html
Aside from the (don't use windows XP comments), does anyone have any information on this? I have emailed Apple a couple times but have gotten no answer back yet.
What is happening is that when I plug in my iphone to itunes a "Digital Still Camera" pops up in the system tray and then blue screen of death appears. Some people have said that all you have to do is delete all your photos and it will sync, but does anyone have any other suggestions without having to delete all my photos anytime I want to sync?
Thanks for the help in advance. The first response was correct, the computer (xps 1210) used a logitech camera driver that I did not recognize so I deleted it. Blue screen of death when syncing to iPod and iPhone.
I wish I could laugh. "Upgraded" to iTunes 8 and no longer can use my computer to sync to either my iPhone or my iPod. Thanks for the upgrade Apple. Now that I cannot update my portable music devices I have the extra time to stare at the new visualizer. Woooopie.
Apple is happy to point out how unfriendly Microsoft products are, but since I got this Vista box I have never seen the BSOD... Until tonight.
So, what to do? Wait for a "solution" to my upgrade, or try to remove 8 and reinstall 7? After reading about the changes to the iTunes library making a revert difficult, I am thinking I watch TV instead of listen to music. On the television... that is...
PaulReplying to own thread because I wanted to share success. Turned power off on HP Laserjet. No reboot needed. Launched iTunes and performed sync with iPod and iPhone. Happy days. Even happier when Apple redoes driver so I can use iTunes without having to power off my printer.
An honest mistake... I would imagine it would be very difficult to find a beta tester that had that combo of hardware. Imagine... Vista and a HP Laserjet. Oh... I guess we are the beta testers...

Occasional Blue Screen of Death when syncing!
I have a Lenovo Laptop...T500...sometimes when I sync my iPad it will error out with the BSOD with an "IRQ Not Less than..." error or somthing like that.
What I noted was that it usually happens if I am transferring purchases one way or the other...like too much data is trying to be pushed through the USB and it cannot handle the back and forth...
My question is...could this be a settings issue...?
Obviously it is inconvenient because it requires me to reboot the PC and start over again....sometime it will crash 5 times in a row before it works...
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!Hi,
Could be your security software causing this. Follow the instrucitons here.

Blue Screen of Death when Sync Attempted Now
Just installed the drivers for a newly purched HP AIO wireless printer/scanner Photosmart B209... went to Sync my iPhone this morning and was greated by a lovely BSOD when I attempted to sync... when it rebooted it attempted to SYNC but it moved incredibly slow through the backup operation... otherwise seemed to sync fine.... tried to sync again this PM and BSOD'd again...
The first response was correct, the computer (xps 1210) used a logitech camera driver that I did not recognize so I deleted it. The software was still active and crashed the computer. Fix was reinstall logitech software and driver. Updating the driver would have probably worked. Thank you!

Blue Screen of Death when connecting ipod
Ever since the 2.0 update, when I try and connect my ipod about 50% of the time i get the BSOD. What the heck is going on? Is it another 2.0 bug?

Blue Screen of Death When Plugging in Ipod Touch 4g
Hello,
Im reciving blue screen of death when I plug in my ipod touch 4g. I have updated itunes, Drivers, This happens every time and I suspect it happens when my computer says found new hardware reconizing the ipod as a camera because once I pluged my ipod in and it didn't pop up found camera hardware and it worked. So does anyone know how to fix this or disable my comp from reconizing the ipod as a camera? Thanks in advance
p.s im using XP service pack 3have u tried pluging an other usb (eg mp3 or mem stick) it to ur compuer? is it doing it with these?
if its only doing this with ur ipod try the following
1 go to start menu and in the search box type in usb
look for device manager
2. open the disk drives and plug in ipod touch and removeable disk should show up
3, try usb drives updates
because the ipod has a camera most older computers running xp think its a camera,
if u have and usb mem stick copy ur itunes folder on to it and copy it to a computer running vista or windows 7 and c it its doing it on one of them, if its doing it on one them there may be other hardware isues with ur ipod touch -
Blue screen of death when La Cie external firewire drive connected
I tested a LaCie external firewire drive on my iMac and it worked fine. I packed it up well and posted it to a friend who gets the blue screen of death when the LaCie is connected to her iMac. She's not even trying to boot from it.
My iMac is 9.1 and hers is 8.1. We are both running Snow Leopard. Was there some problem once upon a time with chipsets or am I mis-remembering?
TIACreate an ISO (Encore) or folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
Imgburn will read the ACTUAL disc brand from the disc, which is not always the same as the box label (Memorex is notorious for buying "anything" and putting it inside a Memorex box)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help -
Blue screen of death, and continous reboot. Phone never actually boots up, just keeps going from reboot to blue screen and back again. Any suggestion?
Hello jared1915
If you are stuck in that loop, the next step would be to restore your iPhone. Check out the article below to get your iPhone into recovery-mode and restore it in iTunes.

Blue screen of death when i go to sync
I got an ipod classsic 6th generation. When I connect it to itunes it begins to sync but then it freezes and goes to the blue screen of death. Numbers appear which I will post later. Please help!
There IS another way to try this.
Boot to Windows and right-click My Computer or My Documents and open as "explore". Insert the Leopard disk. If it offers to install STOP it. Click on the LEFT side the plus sign next to the machine's DVD drive icon (the reason we opened the "explore" style directory). The Boot Camp files are now passive but exposed. Next right click My Computer and click properties. Next hardware and then device manager. Now you can one-by-one install the drivers using Windows hardware wizard. You might even want to drag the contents of the Leopard disk (drivers) right on to your (Windows) "desktop". In device manager open Human Interface Devices - you will find Apple Keyboard or whatever an iMac has there. Rightclick and hit Update Driver - the Wizard opens. Click 'no - not this time' and continue. Click 'install from a specific location' and continue. Next the Wizard gives you a 'browse location' option. Just click around until you locate the Boot Camp drivers in your disk or desktop and proceed - it will update, I promise you. -
Blue screen of death when disconnecting iPhone from computer
So I bought the iPhone and even though I own a Mac I decided to connect it to my work PC which happens to run Windows XP. Everything worked great until I took a picture with the iPhone. As soon as I connected the iPhone, the computer crashed with a blue screen of death. So I looked it up on the forums here and found the article that talks about what COULD be the issue. What Apple is saying with that article basiclly is that this is "your" problem and not theirs so good luck trying to find which one of the 50 drivers that I have on my machine causes the issue. I tried to fix it by updating the drivers that they recommend and the problem is still there. Fine, I will not take pictures with the iPhone.
And then yesterday out of the blue (no pun intended) iTunes gave me an error message when I connected the iPhone, I didn't pay any attention to it and dismissed it only to find out that now every time I remove the iPhone from the computer, it crashes it with a blue screen of death. So now I can't sync the iPhone at all! How much more unsaved work am I going to loss because of this product?
On a personal note, I am a huge fan of Apple's products but I am extremely upset about this. Not only did Apple create a sloppy software implementation, they are making it look like it's a Windows problem. None of the other products that are installed on my machine cause my computer to crash like that, and if I do have an outdated driver (which I doubt!) then the developers of those products have found a way to deal with them WITHOUT crashing!
Please advise

Anyways, thank you for your reply and I'm sorry for coming off like jack it's just that losing your data three times will do that to you. I will tunnel my anger back at Microsoft I guess.
In any event, I went back and took a look at my drivers and didn't find any Lexmark or Logitec in there, however I decided to remove the built-in camera driver that came with the laptop and that seemed to work (it turns out that Logitec makes that camera!). I also moved the USB cable to a different port on the computer and now I don't get the blue screen when I disconnect the iPhone.
Thanks again for your help, it seems like I am safely syncing again
p.s. since I can't log in as the original author you might want to have a mod mark the question as answered. thanks. -
Blue Screen of Death when logging out
Until recently I had only a Macbook Pro, and connected to the internet using my Airport Extreme. Then I added a Mac Pro with Leopard server - to add wikis blogs and other nice features into my home network.
However, intermittently, when I log out of an account to go back to the Login Window (if I want to leave the administrator account) or even just out of a user account, the login screen does not appear - and I get a blue screen of death with a spinning 'wait for' icon (no cursor is visible).
Has anyone had similar experiences? Anything I need to do to prevent this from happening. This actually happens both on my Macbook and Mac Pro now that the server is in the picture.
It is worrying me as the only way to get out of it is to hard-reboot the system. Not the best way to keep my data intact.Thought this might help. This also crashed with me running 10.5.2

Desktop Software causes blue screen of death upon sync attempt
I've had this problem off and on (mostly on) since upgrade to version 6.0 bundle 2647 of the desktop software. The desktop software starts up normally. Upon connecting the device (Torch 9800) one of the following occurs:
1. The screen on the device flashes with the connection graphic, then computer goes BSOD.
2. The device is recognized, asks for my password in DTS, put in password, looks as if synch process is about to start, then computer goes BSOD.
3. The device is recognized, password entered, sync proceeds normally.
I get the BSOD about 75% of the time, which means I'm scared to sync very often ... which is a huge problem. When I do attempt to sync, I've learned the hard way to save all data, shut down all programs, and cross my fingers.
My computer is HP TouchSmart tx2, AMD Turion X2, running Vista - 64. I have no problems with any other applications.
I've looked on other forums, tried checking for upgrades, patches, etc. After being a loyal BB proponent since the early days, I'm about ready to leave the reservation. I can't tolerate having RIM products jacking up my computer (which I use to make a living).
If anybody can help me out, point me in the right direction, I certainly appreciate it.
Thanks!Any option just produces the message again for approx. 3 tries then my entire system goes to Blue Screen of Death and starts dumping memory.
Just in case you're still around, bubba ...
What text and numerical codes are you getting on the blue screen? If it's mentioning a specific filename too, let us know what that is too.
For example:
STOP 0x00000023 (0x000f00b5, 0xfc4af978, 0xfc4af7b4, 0xfeff4a6b)
FATFILESYSTEM
fastfat.sys
