This happens every time when shutting down the system?
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Alerts - Text Message "To Shut Down the System"
Hi Experts,
I want to set a Alert message to pop up for all the users of Business One.Lets say the message is "Shut down the system".Can we set this predefined Alert in B1? I tried ,but it asked to link the query.I don knw how .....pls help.In order an alert to work, not only a message is needed, more important is the event to trigger this alert. What is your condition to alert user? If this condition is not directly related to B1 itself, such as you want all user out of B1 system, then an email broadcasting to a distribution list would be a better tool to use.
Thanks,

Opening Word-- blue screen-- all applications shutting down?
Hi everyone! Today I closed my laptop to put it in sleep mode, it was not connected to power.
I came back an hour or so later, opened it up, and entered my password to log in. It started to log in and then I got a blue screen! In a few seconds it brought me back to my desktop, but all of the applications had shut down and Mail (which starts automatically) was opening and asking me for my passwords.
I thought that was weird behavior so I got my external hard drive and attempted to back up my computer. I started Googling the problem and then Safari randomly quit. I tried to email a paper I'm working on to myself, and I got the blue screen again! I plugged my computer in, hoping that would help. However, I got the blue screen two or three times before I was able to get a current backup. Each time the blue screen popped up, all of the applications would be shut down by the time the desktop came back.
EDIT: Ok, it definitely seems to be a problem with Microsoft Word. Every time I open it, the blue screen comes up! Such a pain. I'm going to Google it and try to work this out, but if anybody has any insights please let me know!
SECOND EDIT: Sorry to be such a pain, but I thought I had figured it out and then it happened randomly again! If anyone has dealt with this before, please let me know!

when I close out a website it goes to my desk top and then tells me firefox is already running and I have to shut down my system and bring it back up and wait to log back in. It's quite frustrating.
Try Ctrl>ALT>DEL then click Start Task Manager, then find the process firefox.exe, then click end program, then try opening Firefox again. <!-- click applications > new task.... > explorer.exe --> done! If that doesn't work, then try re-installing Firefox or going to this link to safe mode area and click continue to safe mode and then try and exit, if this problem still occurs then disable extensions and plugins

Can anyone help with the blue screen I just got. Tried to power back up like one Apple user suggested by holding the power and screen button together, came back briefly, then shut down. Now nothing. Any help?
Plug your device into the original charger & block in a wall outlet and leave it alone for a couple of hours. Then, while it is still plugged in, restart it by holding down the home button and the power button for 10-15 seconds until you see the Apple, then let go.

When I try to shut down or restart the system, it shows that : The finder can't quit beacuase some oprations are still in progress. You can cancel or stop the operations ,and then try again.
COuld you please suggest how can I solve it?If you're sure no operations really are in progress, such as a long file copy, select ▹ Force Quit... from the menu bar, then select Finder and press return.

Why does the loading circle come up in the blue screen when I shut down sometimes?
Sometimes when I shut down I get the usual blue screen, then the loading circle appears and the macbook doesn't shut down. I have to hold down the power button to shut it off, which I know is not a good thing. Can someone help me please???
Hi,
Do you usually Close All Open Apps before Shutting Down...?
Is there an External Hard Drive Connected...?
Usually the "Circle" represents the Mac 'Finishing Business...' before Shutting Down...
Hope this Helps,
Cheers, -
IdeaPad U330 shows a blue screen and then shuts down while trying to Backup using onekey recovery
I have a brand new Lenovo IdeaPad U330 2267-58U preloaded with Windows XP Professional. After I installed some application software I tried to use the Onekey Recovery (from the Start menu) to create a backup of my system partition (C drive) for the first time. For backup mode I chose "Full backup" and for Compression Type I chose "Quick compression" (I tried the no compression option and it didn't work either). I then clicked the "Next" button and left everything unchanged as the default setting (backup location set to the D: drive). As soon as I clicked the "next" button, and then the "start" button, the screen turns blue and the system reboots. The system then reboots with the blue disck-checking screen.
Any fix to this problem?? I haven't been able to create any back up for my system or create a recovery disc so far.have you checked your disk(s) for error(s)?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265/en-us
and one more thing, can you send the system or application events? ( related error )

Started again.Try restoring your phone as a "new" device in iTunes, not from backup. When finished, eject your phone. Do not sync any content back to your phone. How are things working now? If OK, sync your content back to your phone. If not, make an appointment at an Apple store, as you most likely have a hardware issue.

PC Crashes (blue screen first, then shuts down) whien I plug in my iPod
When I plug in my iPod to my PC it gives me a blue screen and reboots my PC. I have the latest firmware for my iPod. It worked the last time I used my iPod? My OS is Vista Business
what numerical and text codes are you getting with the blue screen? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
if the blue screen mentions a specific file, let us know what that is called too. (exact spelling, please.)

[SOLVED] Normal user is able to shut down the system (systemd conskit)
Hi
I noticed that i'm able to shutdown, reboot, or halt my system without root privileges. I don't know since when this is.

It's not an actual problem since i'm the only one using this computer. But since linux is a multi user system i think this is not as it should be.
Any ideas? Or is this how it should be?

Line Active=yes tells you if session is properly authorised (in my case it is). If it is, you are able to shutdown, reboot, etc. without typing in password. This can be achieved with consolekit or polkit from testing repo (deprecates consolekit). Because you are not using testing repo, consolekit is probably responsible.
