Blue scren when I plug in my iPod

Hello I just got an brand new iPod touch for Christmas and everything was fine when I used/synced it/plugged/etc it until today. I plugged it with the provided USB cable and immediately after, I got the blue screen of death. I restarred my computer, plugged it again and got the same thing. I am currently using Windows XP and the newest iTunes that I downloaded & installed when I got my touch. What am I supposed to do ? thank you

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off; they are off by default. To do this in the menus, go to:
Show Sidebar - Choose View > Show Sidebar (this feature will display iTunes features on the left side of the application including Library, Store, Shared, Genius, and Playlists).

Make sure that your music is in the format supported by the iPhone. I use either MP3 or AAC.
A friend had the same problem a while back. All his music was in the WMA format and is therefore not playable on the iPhone and would not copy. Once he converted his songs to MP3 they copied to his iPhone without problem.

I don't see anything in Help that shows when you already have transfered all the files over. Why would it want to erase and sync when I already have all the music folder copied over? I didn't have an issue when I had another technician copy from one laptop to another. Home sharing is also on but not being recognized.

I suspect you only migrated the media folder instead of the complete working library. Either review the transfer process and copy over the entire iTunes folder from your old profile's music folder or see Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod, iPad, and iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
