Blue strip of Light

Blue light from backlight
Hello this is my first post so please be gentle. I've had my pad 3 since June and I've just noticed a blue strip of light possible coming from the back light, that is very visible on black backgrounds (for example when I'm switching the ipad off) Could someone please tell me what this is and do I need to take it back to Apple for a replacement? To be honest I've only noticed it since updating to IOS 6 but surely that doesn't have anything to do with it! I've attached a photo of my display. Many thanks in advance for any advice.

I understand the blue light on the tower is no longer activating.
I take it you are referring to the decorative light at the top of the tower in this image.
If it is under warranty still, you can contact HP to see what options are available. I don't think this is indicative of a deeper issue in the system. The light itself typically has a cord that connects to a power source inside the tower (a pin on the motherboard or connects directly to a cable from the power supply through an adapter). You could open the tower to verify that no cables have come loose. Provided that the power cord to the light has not come loose, then this would be indicative of a failure isolated to the light that nothing else has an issue.

I just bought a new HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276 with wifi and eprint. I just started up this new printer and the blue wifi indicator / light is blinking. I do not have a router but would like to print wirelessly from my iphone, galaxy s5, laptop and my macbook air.
I started with my laptop and could not print wirelessly.
Can you please tell me as to why that light is printing. How can I set up my devices to print wirelessly.

I see by your post that you would like to setup the printer to print with your Laptop, iPhone, Galaxy s5, Laptop and the Macbook Air. I would be happy to help you.
Since you don't have a router, you can turn the Wireless Direct on from the printer's control panel. From the devices you would connect to the printer's network to be able to print.
On the printer's display, go to Setup, Network Setup, Wireless Menu, Wireless Direct Settings and turn it on.
Follow Step two from this document for connecting to the printer.
Printing from an Apple or Android Mobile Device with HP Wireless Direct.
For the Mac and Windows computer you would also need to connect to the printer's network or your other option would be to connect with a USB cable.

Why is it when using my iPhone 4s front camera, the screen sometimes turn black or have blue stripes on it? What's wrong with it and what should I do?

When using my iPhone 4s front camera, the screen sometimes become black or have blue stripes on it! Is this a hardware or software problem? Can this issue be covered by my warranty? I bought it inmid-december last year, and this problem came at around Late January. It's a rare case, only came about 5 times, but this really concerns me. What's wrong with it? I brought it to the store and they agreed to give me an exchange. thank goodness!
I have a new question: I've now transferred my back up datas to my new iphone. They wanted me to register, so I registered (as my old apple ID) and then they asked if I want to restore backup, I did that too. after the restore back up process, the only things that aren't there were my music and apps! what should I do to get them into my new iPhone?

Qosmio F30 starts with blue stripes during the start screen of Vista

My Qosmio F30-114 runs since years without Problems with Vista Ultimate.
Since some Days there is a huge Problem.
The Qosmio starts with blue stripes during the start screen of vista.
So I deleted the driver of the graphic card and used the standard vga card driver. the hardware assistent found a driver on the system.
For a short moment i was very lucky.
After a restart, there was a blue screen. after the next restard, again the standard vga card driver.
What can i do?
The download section of toshiba has no drivers for graphic card.
And really ... i wonder - how does it works all the years without problems...
Has anyone a solution?

First of all do you have this issue on an external monitor too or only on the internal monitor? Maybe its not a problem of the graphic card so check this with an external monitor.
I have checked the Toshiba website and there I can find some drivers for the Qosmio F30:

Hp officejet 7610 scan result is blue stripes

i've been having problem with my officejet 7610 which in my case the scanning output for color scanning is all blue stripes and is unusable. Please help, cause i need to scan really important docs.. Thank u for ur help.

Welcome to the forums!
I read about the scanning quality issues you're having with your Officejet 7610 on Windows 8.1 and I would like to help.
Please try these few steps and get back to me with the results.
Power reset the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Check for a Firmware Update: Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
Test a copy from the front of the printer. Was there any issues?
Test a scan from the PC. What did the scan look like?
If there was an issue with the scan only, run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

I want to remove that big blue stripe near the top of the screen

The stripe that showed up yesterday that says: "Click Here To Start Sharing on Google"

I have the same problem, but I see it whenever I go to the Google home page. The blue stripe (at least the one I'm seeing) appears on the web page itself, and it's not part of any of the Firefox toolbars.
I'm using Firefox 8, and hiding the Menu bar doesn't do anything to the "blue stripe" on Google. I can't see that an add-on is going to fix this either. I think it's just Google being it's recently annoying self.
Maybe I misunderstood what the original poster was asking. Is there Another annoying blue stripe out there?! (I wouldn't be surprised if there was... Firefox made some bad decisions with v.8, it's Very annoying.)
p.s. I'm not happy At All with Firefox 8. Such a disappointment... What were they thinking??

There appears a blue strip on the right top corner every time I unlock my phone or when I open an app. It's been four months since I got my 5s! Is something wrong with the screen?

Color laserjet 2840 blue stripes after replacing the colors and drum

I have replaced all the colors and the image drum. Now on the left and right edges of the paper I get blue stripes in about every inch. The stripes are about 1/2 inch wide.
I allready shook the cyan cartridge but that did not help

Vertical Blue Stripes across Screen

I'm not sure what triggered it, but vertical blue stripes will pop up and freeze my screen. It started last night and have happened a couple of times already. I can only 'unfreeze' it by rebooting the Mac.

I haven't read anything about the ABC website causing problems. Watching videos may be more processor intensive and the machine may run a bit hotter, which might be enough to trigger a video problem that could have been there all along, but just hadn't manifested itself yet.
If you also get the blue stripes on an external display, that would indicate a problem with the graphics chip. If the video on the external display is fine, then the blue stripes could be a problem with your internal display rather than the chip.
If you get the stripes again, it might be a good time to run the extended version of the Apple Hardware Test, which is on Install Disc #1 of the gray discs that originally came with your computer. The AHT will test a lot of stuff, and if you get an error code, it will indicate a specific hardware problem. You can try Googling the error code and maybe find out what it is, but Apple is the keeper of error codes and would have to be the one to give you a definitive answer.
I can appreciate that you need to work on your paper and won't be able to mess with this right away. If your video goes away entirely, here is an article which might help you get it back again:

This article will walk you through some resets which might help.
Also, sometimes problems are worse if the computer gets hot. If that seems to be the case, something like a chill mat might help until you have time for some serious troubleshooting. So would quitting any unnecessary applications while you are working on your paper.

5530 blue stripes

Hi there,
I just got my phone back from service after having some software problems. It seems to work fine now, except for the fact that the guys from service reinstalled symbian for the black and red version and thus my theme now is red stripes, red etc...
My phone is the blue and white(5530) version and I would preffer to have the blue theme. The red theme just doesn't cut it for the blue/white phones.
Can anyone help me with the blue stripes theme please.

The theme isn't officially available from nokia but it is unofficially available on the link below.

Nokia 6300 - Blue flashing side lights

Hi All,
This might sound like a really daft question, but I have had my phone now for under a week and all works fine with it even though I have read a number of post on this forum regarding this phone.
The question that I would like to ask is as follows:
I am sure that when I first got the phone two blue lights on the side of the phone would flash every 2 or 3 seconds. I don't know what I have changed and I have looked through the owners manual but now these lights have stopped flashing. Have I turned something off or is this a fault in the phone.
Any help or information would be appriciated.

I had the Light Effects turned OFF and was wondering why it didn't flash. I had been to the Nokia Care Point and they said it must be something to do with the software/hardware and it would cost a minimum of Rs.350. I had the phone back from them in amazement and only then the Nokia Discussion forum struck my mind.

Blue strips on iPad 2

There Are blue stripes swiping the screen. What to do?

It looks like the blue vertical stripe is going fra left to right in apps. When closing the app and restarting the pad it takes a wil before it appears again

First sideloading and now the blue stripe of death

Okay so I can appreciate the decision, even though I'm not happy about it, to do away with sideloading in preference of publishing the folio to Acrobat.com and distributing it via that platform. In fact, in our immediate office environment sharing Folios via Acrobat works quite well and we are happy to use it in this way.
Imagine my dismay when I loaded the new Android Adobe Content Viewer 1.8,0,0,23535 on my HTC Desire and logged into Acrobat.com only to see all of my Folio artwork covered by this giant blue stripe! (sorry for the dodgy pics but it's hard to screengrab an Android device I've discovered)
It got a little better, but not much, when I rotated the phone to landscape!
Now it's my understanding that the next version of the ipad Content Viewer app is going to do the same thing :-( Please don't do it. What's the point of doing cover artwork if you are going to completely cover it in portrait mode and deface it in landscape mode. Is it necessary to do it this way, can't we find a more subtle way of indicating that a particular folio inside the viewer has been downloaded from Acrobat.com as opposed to via the App Store. I much prefered the little *.
This is a great product and we all want it to work across a range of disciplines but don't make those of us happy to use Acrobat.com be forced to endure "the blue stripe of death".

It sounds like your hard drive might be dying.
If at all possible, back up your data.
You could try running the Apple Hardware Test and see if it shows anything. It will be on one of the gray discs that came with your computer, either on a separate one or on one of the install discs.

Blue Strips on screen?

This is on behalf of a coworker. He decided to get a SiS648 board (648F Neo-L), which you can find here http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=470
Then he got a XFX Geforce FX5900, which you'll find here

I presume he got ram and processor to fit the board. Everything is plugged in right. But anyway he says that when he turns the system on all he gets is these blue stripes on the screen, about 10 or so across the screen and they don't move.
Granted I've told him to get an 865PE Neo-PLS or something like that instead of the SiS, I am wondering what would cause it to not work right given everything is seated right and plugged in and all with a 400W power supply. Is there a 0.8 vs 1.5v AGP voltage problem?

No; there is no problem as far as the AGP Voltage is concerned...The correct AGP setting for your card is 1.55 Volts (even though it is a 8X card) as the further Voltage reduction to 0.8 Volts is done by the electronics on the Vidio Card itself ...........Sean REILLY875

Blue strip running on my i Phone 5 after updating ios 7.0.2

Whenever i open an app or setting or anything, a blue strip starts scanning my screen and goes away when i click the home button. This has started when i updated from ios 7 to ios 7.0.2 today..
It is draining my battery also very quickly..
Kindly guide me whether it is common problem or with my phone only..:(
