any help would be greatly appreciated

Good Morning @ddave_1985 ,
Thank you for your query, I will do my best to help.
I see that your display is exhibiting a blue tint when compared to your friends desktop monitor.  You tried adjusting the color through the Intel Control panel but it remained unchanged. You tried reinstalling the graphic drivers but it did not help.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Has it always had the blue tint or is it a recent change?
Have you made any recent changes to your notebook?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to aid with HP updates ?
Have you tried using the Windows troubleshooter ?
Here is a link to the HP ENVY dv7-7332ea Notebook PC Drivers.  You will need to select your Operating System and click next to display the recommended drivers and updates for your notebook.  Please ensure they have all been updated.
Here is a link to  Display Quality Issues that will guide you through some adjustments to help overcome this difficulty.
This one may also help Resolving Video and Graphics Issues.
Good Luck!

  • MacBook Pro 15 inch 2011- Blue tint in Windows 7 using Bootcamp 4.0

I have recently installed Windows 7 using Bootcamp on my Macbook pro 15 inch 2011. The display under Mac OSX is accurate with vibrant colors using the default Color LCD profile. In WIndows 7, everything is tinted blue and all colors are dimished because of this. I have tried importing my Color LCD icc profile from Mac OSX Lion and this has helped to some degree. This alleviates the blue tint but gives Windows a warmer, browner tint. Unfortunately this makes the display too dim and crushes the blacks. Additionally, some games revert to the default windows calibration with the blue tint. Games look bad either way as the Color LCD profile in Windows makes the game too dark and the default calibration makes everything blue. Has anyone been able to correct this in Bootcamp? Thanks

Heat, fans, poor Apple drivers, I would not blame ATI but I would upgrade/install those.
And yes BC 4.0 probably was not tested fully.

  • External Monitor Has A Blue Tint

I've had my iMac for about 4 years and I just hooked up an external monitor.
I bought the monitor a good while ago and it has been basically sitting in a closet for a few years.
Just bought a Mini-DVI to VGA adapter and when I hook the monitor up, there's a blue tint which I am assuming because the red is not coming through.
When I adjust the color settings, there is no difference in color from when the red is set at 0 and when it is set at 100.
At first I thought it might be the monitor because it's old and has been passed around to a few people but then I noticed the menu for the monitor is showing red hues just fine.
To test this out, I hooked my netbook up to the monitor and the picture looks just fine.
    Any ideas?

Do you get this after switching users? This is something that intermittently happens to me on my MacBook after switching users. Restarting is the only thing I have found which fixes that issue however, so I don't know if it's related.
I would imagine it to be a software issue rather than hardware. I would try repairing permissions, resetting PRAM and SMC. If that fails then an Archive & Install would be my next move.

  • Images opened in Photoshop CS5 has a blue-tinted grayscale

I was using Photoshop CS5 (64-bit) fine yesterday but today each image I open shows a loss of colour, everything looks like a blue tinted grayscale.
The same with RAW files oipened in ACR and all files opened in Bridge.
When I open a JPEG version in Microsoft Image Viewer the colour is fine.
In Windows, the thumbnails look fine with full colour in the folders.
The loss of colour only happens when the image files are opened in Photoshop, Bridge and ACR.
Anyone out there who can help?
    Many thanks.

Many thanks to Silkrooster, Alec Molloy & Chris Cox, for all your help and time.
Just for info - the Huey Pro calibrator has worked well with this monitor (Dell U2410) for at least a couple of years now.
I tried old profiles created previously using the HueyPRO but they did not work, so I deleted them from the System32/spool/drivers/color folder.
Then a new HueyPRO-created monitor profile did not work, so I deleted that as well.
Then at start up, the HueyPRO seemed to auto-create its own monitor profile which it named:  "hueyPRO Dell U2410 F525MOA70DKL.icc"
But that gave the same loss of colour when opening files in Photoshop
So I think Chris is exactly right - the problem must be with the HueyPRO "cigar" hardware, or with its software, so I may well have been bothering you all unnecessarily.
I'll try getting a new hueyPRO - but not too common in the shops here in central Africa.
In the meantime, I've uninstalled HueyPRO and I'm using a reference image to calibrate using the NVIDEA Control Panel (I'm working on a commission for two photo calendars at the moment and so have to keep it going....).
Any recommendations on a better calibrator (but a non-too technical one!)??

That sounds like an issue with the sunglasses and possible polarization...there is nothing that you can do to offset that on the iPhone itself.

  • Screen Freeze With Light Blue Tint

    Hi,
I bought a refurbished 15" MacBook Pro from the Apple Store last August (2011 model, I think, running Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.3) and it's been fine up until the past week. Twice now, when the computer has been asleep and I've woken it up, the screen has frozen and has a slightly bleached out and bluish appearance and, unable to see the cursor when I move my finger on the trackpad, I've had to reboot using the power button. This seems to fix it, but I'm worried that it might indicate an ongoing or more serious problem.
Just to clarify, what I see is not a blank, pale blue screen, but the screen as it looked just before the computer went to sleep (background picture, any windows I had open), with a bleached-out, bluish appearance.
I can rule out accidental damage (it hasn't been dropped or had anything spilled on it, etc) but it has coincided with a problem I had with the MagSafe Power Supply. While I was using the computer last week with the supply plugged in, I looked down to notice the insulating layer next to the metal L-connector had split, exposing the wires, some of which had frayed. I switched off and disconnected the supply immediately, but can't say for sure how long the damaged supply was in use before I noticed the problem with it. Neither can I say for sure that the two issues are related, but this bleached-out blue screen problem first arose that day, although the second time it happened (this morning) I was using the replacement power supply which is intact.
Has anyone else experienced this? Luckily, my computer is still within warranty, so I'll call the helpline or visit a Genius Bar, but any other advice would be very much appreciated.

It's possible that it has affected to your computer, but it has nothing to do with the blue tint. Respecting to this problem, the first thing I recommend you is to reinstall OS X, holding Command and R keys while your computer is starting, so all the OS X files will be reinstalled and it should fix the problem if it's software related.
If it doesn't work, take the computer to the Apple Store because it could be a hardware issue. I have seen problems with some computers turning them on after sleep, but the blue tint isn't as normal as this problem

  • Blue tint added from PS CS3 to Acrobat 8 Pro

Since I've upgraded to CS3, I've had this problem. Every document I design in Photoshop will look perfect but will add a blue tint to the canvas when converted into a PDF. It will do this whether the file is a PSD or JPG. It doesn't matter if it's text only or text and a photo. It only puts the blue tint on the actual PS canvas area, so if the canvas size is 5x7 and the document size I choose for the PDF is 8.5x11 then the blue tint is only on the 5x7, not the outer edges of the PDF - it is white.
I made a PDF in Microsoft Word, and it is perfect. I also created a doc in InDesign with text and image with no blue tint. I seem to think it's some new setting in PS that I'm not aware of. The working space is Adobe RGB 1998 (I also tried other settings including sRGB with no success) and the document profile matches as RGB 1998, so there are no conflicts.
Any ideas how to get rid of the blue tint?
    Thanks for the help.
    Anne

  • White background around graphics shows as a blue tint ...

The white background around graphics that contain a drop shadow, shows as a blue tinted region only when printing as a pdf/pdf-x file to color laser printers. Ink jet printers print the page correctly. Since I work in a pc environment, I save pages files as pdf or pdf-x onto a flash drive. When I open the file on a pc in acrobat reader, it shows the white background. The color laser is an HP Color Laserjet 2550PS. I'd like to include the drop shadows and print to the laser, since the inkjets are being phased out.
Any suggestions about the cause or solution to this problem?

  • Blue Tint Started after I set up TV monitor: dual g5 2.0Ghz

Machine: Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5 10.4.6 with Lacie Electron Blue 22 connected to it. ATI Radeon 9650 Driving it.
Problem: It was working fine. Now it has blue tint (haze) to it. It looks like somebody put a piece of blue plastic wrap in the front of the entire screen. When I restart, it will appear neutral white (normal) and then after "a while" it goes to the blue tint and it pretty much stays that way.
What I did recently that MAY have caused the problem: I attached my TV - 37 inch lcd - via a DVI-D cable, messed around with it, got the lacie and the TV mirrored... things worked fine. Better than fine, wonderful. Disconnected the TV, messed with the display settings, then the blue thing happened later (not immediately after disconnecting tv).
How I know that it is not the monitor (hardware): Because the monitor is shared via a KVM between the G5 and my linux server. There is no tint when I switch over to the linux server. I also eliminated KVM problems by trading cables between the g5 and the linux box and the behavior on the G5 was exactly as described above. This kvm thing worked fine for nearly 6 months and it would be quite a coincidence anyway if it went bad while i was hooking up the TV to the G5. Right now I am typing this through a bluish tint on the G5 and there is no tint when I switch to the linux box (likewise, the TV looks fine right now).
Things I have tried: Changing color profiles, restarting umteen times, switching dvi ports on cards, removing tv monitor, etc. I've tried a bunch of things, but of course I may have overlooked something.
I did try to calibrate the monitor at some point in all this mess, but even if I messed something up, when I switch to other color profiles, it still happens.
I feel like it must be something to do with the software. I just don't get it.
I need some help, I've got to do some photography work on the G5 and I cant do it when my white balance is blue!
    2Ghz G5 see text   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Solved.
The problem turned out to be the kvm switch (for those that care it is an iomega gcs632U). This is the second one that has broken. I would not recommend this switch. The first time it was something different.
When I tested it, it must have been behaving erratically and worked fine during the test.

  • My display color shifts to a blue tint when opening photoshop and bridge with Yosemite

The display on my mac book pro color shifts to a blue tint when opening Photoshop CS6.  Any suggestions on how to maintain the current color profile?  My photography work is dependent on proper display calibration.  Thank you

First open the Universal Access preference pane and in the 'seeing' tab, make sure that the slider for 'enhance contrast' is all the way to the left. Next, open the Displays preference panel and click on the 'color' tab. The click the 'calibrate' button. This will take you through a color/brightness/contrast set up procedure that may eliminate the problem.
There are two options in the calibration process, standard, which is the default option and has fewer adjustment screens, and expert, which is selected by checking the box for it on the first calibration screen and offers more adjustments. You can't do any harm with either since any settings you create can be discarded, or profile(s) you save can be deleted or ignored if necessary.
This won't necessarily resolve the problem, but if not, then it would indicate that there's an issue with the hardware - possibly just the connector on the back of the system, which needs to be fastened really tightly. If you can't readily resolve this, since your system is so new, I'd then suggest you call Apple.

  • Mac AME creating blue tinted video

When exporting some tutorial files from " An Editors Guide to Adobe Premiere Pro" through AME I experienced video files with intermittent blue tinted frames.

I tried to submit a bug report but AME was not available as an option, so I submitted the report under PrP 5.5.
    I have a Mac Pro 3,1
    10.6.8
    Nvidia 4000
    Kona 3
    24 gigs ram
    Maxx Digital/Areca 8TB. raid

Sorry for the double post. I realized I was in the wrong forum and created one here, only to realize it had been moved for me.
No, this is happening on my one and only system...with Kona and Nvidia up to date codecs installed. I just did some testing that may point to a possible cause.
Richard Harringtons wonderful book has tutorial projects for PrP5 and PrP 5.5. The problem seemed to manifest with those 5.5 projects using Cineform source clips. Exported or Queued they would have this intermittent bluish tint as noted.
I took one of the clips and created a New Sequence using the drag and drop on the button approach. Then I added the same clips that exhibited the problem in that sequence. I then rendered it out and it was fine.
I suspect there is something within Harringtons sequences that was eliciting the problem. Which is good to know since there doesn't seem to be an issue if I don't render them, which is not necessary for 95% of the tutorials. Very strange but seemingly identified.

  • How to remove blue tint

    Hi everyone,
I am new to Premiere Pro CS4 and am currently working with video filmed in very low light. Due to the lighting all of the footage is completely tinted blue! I'm sure this is a very easy thing to solve but have no idea where to start, and would really appreciate any help, as everything I've found so far just tells me how to isolate colours or give video a blue tint!
    Thanks guys,

  • Display color bug "blue tint" color issue

I've been all too familiar with the color bug since the first week i got my led macbook pro.. back then i was using fast user switching, and noticed it.. then did some research leading to the dmproxy fix, that tuaw wrote up an applescript for. http://www.tuaw.com/2006/03/29/fixscreen-applescript-to-fix-fast-user-switching- color-bug/
this worked for a long while... even through the leopard upgrade that I had hoped would solve it. I had to reinstall for an unrelated issue and since she doesn't use mine anymore i never set up an account for my girlfriend this time. so.. no user fast switching.. I thought i wouldn't even come across this problem again... but..
after getting back from my christmas vacation I notice that now that it has my external display hooked up the same thing happened. perhaps it happened earlier and i didn't catch it.. but either way, the same symptoms.. bad color, blueish tint, too cool,.. etc. etc.
Now when I try to run dmproxy, it wouldn't run.. i chalked this up to different location in leopard and found dmproxy. ran it.. and nothing.. so I go to my display sys prefs.. and attempt to calibrate the display.. it acts really funny,.. in that when the initial window comes up that has the checkbox for expert mode.. if i click that and then go to the next step.. as soon as i do, the screen changes profiles and look ten times worse.. and i'm unable to complete the calibration because nocorrect settings can make it look normal.. it has extreme tints.. if i go all the way back to the first window, it goes back to the original slightly off color.. if i try with out expert mode.. it doesn't look any better when done.. but it does give me a calibration file.
restarting, shutting down aren't doing anything.. and It is far enough off to be very bothersome.. is there an updated fix for leopard? anyone else come across this.. i don't want to have to go to the apple store.. please help.

I get the blue tint after my MBP wakes from screen saver, and I also have an external monitor attached. The blue tint only happens on the MBP screen, not the ext monitor. It only happens when I have the external monitor connected.
This may be a bit early to declare a fix for this issue, because I don't think I have permanently, but here's what worked for me today. In the Display Preferences, I had created a new Display Profile for the external monitor. I switched it back to the default profile (in my case Dell 2007FP), and activated the screen saver. When I stopped the screen saver, no blue tint on the MBP screen. Switched back to my custom Display Profile and repeated the process. No blue tint. Hmmm... Now I can't get the blue tint to come back after numerous attempts, when before I could reproduce it at will.
Give it a try and let us know if it works for you too.
