Blue tooth 2.0 EDR software or hardware

Is the (blue tooth 2.0 EDR) hardware or software.???? If it is software will apple create a update for iphone 3g or 2g to (2.0 A2DP stereo blue tooth) ?

Until or unless Apple makes an announcement, there is no way to know what Apple will or will not do in the future.
Iphone has not supported A2DP since it has come out and there has been no mention from Apple (as far as I know) that it will be.
Who knows?
We'll only know when Apple announces.

  • Blue tooth software not working

    dear sir,
    i have nokia x6 16gb
the problem is that the Blue tooth of this nokia x6 16gb not working.
please solve this issue as soon as possible.
iam un able to send or receve any deta.

Do you get the message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation' when you try enabling BT ? If so, many users are facing this issue on various models. What you may try is Updating / Re-installing the Firmware..If that doesn't solve the issue then Reset the phone by dialing *#7370# followed by the security code (Default is 12345 unless set by you) when prompted. Be warned that this will erase all data from the phone memory..so Back-up data first. You will need to restore after the Reset. You will also need to re-install the applications that currently are installed.. If this also doesn't solve the issue then most probably its an Hardware issue that can ONLY be resolved by Nokia Care technicians...
BTW, is the FM Radio working OK ?

  • No Blue tooth Software

Hi I have an Intel Mac Pro, 10.6.8.
Just bought a magic trackpad - but not working. Checked System Prefs - and No blue tooth Icon.
Bought a USB Bluetooth Dongle, which shows up under sytem profiler, but still no Blue tooth Icon in System Prefs, So I think there's no Blue tooth Software - nothing in applications at least.
Have searched apple website, but only found bluetooth updaters - Where can I download the softwareI need?
    thanks
    jake

    Thanks for responding.
No it comes with no Software, says its Mac compatible.
I think the issue is, there is no Bluetooth symbol in my system preferences.
Some how my Mac Pro is without Bluetooth.

  • Blue tooth won't locate other hardware

My Ipod touch with ios 5.1 won't find any other blue tooth units on my WIFI network. It seemed to work fine before I upgraded the rouer to the Dovo Tiny. Other hardware with bluetooth works fine on the same network. Any ideas?

The only thing you can try on that model is a factory reset from the settings menu but it's not likely to work.
Return it to the retailer as they have sold you a faulty phone. It has most likely suffered a hard fall or water damage if bluetooth doesn't work. The longer you have it the more problems you are likely to have.
Make sure you buy it's replacement from a more reliable company.

  • Blue tooth stops working and disappears on iMac G5

My sister Imac G5 has been working fine for a long time except for her breaking the wireless mouse and never having batteries. She also has a wireless keyboard. Well I decided to buy here the Mighty mouse wired device. Soon after she lost bluetooth abilities, or it would come on and off sporadically.
I discovered that if i disconnect the mouse the blue tooth reappears and also stays on longer, occasionally it will disappear again and then come on. Is this a bug in one of the latest software updates?

    Hello N:
Try trashing the preference file and then restarting (com.apple.bluetooth.plist). Also, the BT hardware may be at fault.

  • Handoff won't work MacBook Air: software or hardware

I can get my iPad Air and iPhone 6 to do handoff- but not my MacBook Air.  I am running all of the most updated OS X and iOS versions on a MacBookAir Late 2010.  Below are some instructions I found on another site, but even though I am running the latest Bluetooth, there seems to be other issues - are these software or hardware issues?
There seems to be a few places to check:  APPLE>About This Mac>System Report>Select Blue Tooth from the Left column > Look for: 1) 4th from the top and item saying HANDOFF Supported - mine says no!  Even though I have Bluetooth 4.3 software.  There is apparently another item called the LMP version which has to be 0x6 - mine in 0x4.  Then go into SYSTEM PREFERENCES>GENERAL>...there is supposed to be a checkbox right near the bottom just below the RECENT ITEMS count selector drop down that says ALLOW HANDOFF BETWEEN THIS MAC AND OTHER ICLOUD DEVICES - I do not have this on mine - again assuming it is because of the afore mentioned shortfalls.

Continuity and Handoff require a mid-2012 or newer Mac, per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6337 so it is a hardware issue.

  • Loss of Blue tooth function after upgrade to 10.6

I have a MacBook Pro... I also have a Motorola Droid that was working perfectly with blue tooth when I was using OS 10.5 etc... I was able to "Browse" my phone, Transfer files, it worked like a dream. After upgrading my OS to Snow Leopard... I am unable to transfer files or do any thing of any value using the blue tooth connection on my computer. When I attempt to "Browse" the phone I get the message "The Device does not have the necessary services" I have searched the forums for help with this issue... I'm seeing a lot of "your phone doesn't have that capability" or "your provider has disabled that to make you pay more" or worse yet... I've seen things like "blue tooth isn't made for file transfer it's only for headsets and headphones.
Admittedly most of the people posting these questions had never been able to browse or transfer files before and were just now trying to make this work. I on the other hand had been able to use all these services. Which is why I am not considering my phone as the source of the problem at this time.
Nothing has changed on my phone "no updates in software" and the only change that was made is going from Leopard to Snow Leopard. This is leading me to the conclusion that there is something I'm not seeing in 10.6.x that has caused an issue with my blue tooth functionality... I have gone in to system preferences, in to file sharing and enabled sharing in bluetooth... I have also tried to delete the Bluetooth plist file as was suggested in other discussion forums.
This has not changed any thing I still get the same error when trying to transfer files or browse. If any one else has any advice on something I could try to return my bluetooth function to Pre10.6 that would be most helpful... I'm aware of work arounds "Emailing my self,,, etc." I'd prefer to have my bluetooth back.
Sorry if this post sounds harsh or snippy... I'm getting very frustrated.

Is it smarter economically to repair replace the board, or use the computer as it is and purchase a replacement?
This depends on your usage. If you find performance with 1GB to be satisfactory (maybe not optimal, but satisfactory), just keep using it as is. A new logic board (which will likely be used or refurbished depending on the source) is $400-$800 plus installation. I don't know what company's charge to repair the logic board.
If you decide to go with a new system, you can sell your current system to offset the cost. Or just keep it as backup/extra/computer, or give it to a family member who can use it. If I were going to give it to a family member, I'd reinstall Tiger, as it probably will work a little better in 1GB than Leopard.

  • IPhone 3Gs no longer connects to my Blue Tooth hands free cars

Within the last week, there appears to be a software update to my iPhone 3Gs. Since that time, my phone can no longer be paired with the hands free blue tooth options in both of my vehicles. The first vehicle is a 2010 Lincoln MKX with Sync and my other vehicle is a 2010 Volvo C30. Have other people experienced this? I have updated the connection between the phone and both vehicles. If I cannot get this fixed it looks like my iPhone is useless as a phone with blue tooth.

Problem solved!! I finally managed to pair the SE HCB-100 car kit speakerphone with the 3GS. I surfed the SE web site and it mentioned resetting the speakerphone. Tried it on 'one color ID' but it didn't work so I did it on all 'color IDs' and left it on reset mode when it 'accidentally' was picked up by my 3GS while searching!!! Found 'headset' and then recognised it as HCB-100. One happy guy for the holidays!!!

  • HT204387 When I connect my Iphone 5C to Blue tooth it gets connected but only I can hear incoming voice. The called party cannot hear my voice. may i have the solution please.

I have just bought this expensive phone. I tried connecting to Bluetooth car kit. It gets connected but only incoming voice can be heard. No voice goes out from Iphone.
I also tried connecting to Samsung Bluetooth but the problem is same. There is only in coming communication and no out going.. But both the Blue tooth devices works fine with my Samsung SII.
A working solution help will be very juch appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. I had a plantronics 975 (which I lost, sadly). When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece.

  • IPhone 4s blue tooth siri can't understand me.

The blue tooth is seriously the only thing making me want to go back to Blackberry.   Siri does not understand me while using blue tooth and a lot of the calls I get on my phone while in my vehicle will revert back to the phone settings and I will lose blue tooth al together.   Do you think this is something that Apple will fix or am I going to be only half happy with this phone?

There does appear to be a know issue with Ford vehicles. If yours is a Ford it is likely that your will need a software upgrade to your bluetooth in your vehicle. Ford dealers can do this for you.
    Hope this helps.

  • Wi fii and blue tooth  turn will not turn on I phone 4s

I can get the wi fii to turn on and the blue tooth either? the sklide bar will not work

    Hello gadavisllc1,
It sounds like you are unable to turn on either Wi-Fi or bluetooth on the device because the slider is grayed out. I recommend the troubleshooting from the following article named:
iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
    Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, see how to resolve those Wi-Fi issues.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • Blue Tooth Mighty Mouse compatability?

I've been needing a wireless mouse for a while, preferably blue tooth, the new mighty mouse and one logitech mouse are the only blue tooth mouses I've ever seen with more than just left and right click and scroll, but the logitech one was discontinued. I really want to get this now, but I need a mouse for gaming in bootcamp and I've heard blue tooth doesn't work or something, it appears to work when I'm in XP but I don't have anything Blue Tooth to test it. second even if blue tooth wasn't a problem it doesn't say under the Mighty Mouse page if it supports windows.
does anyone know if it could work in XP on a macbook too? (maybe a little soon to ask questions about it)

Generally speaking Bluetooth is not fully supported under Boot Camp. So in that regard it may not work correctly. I did attached a Logitech MX900 Bluettoh mouse under Boot Camp and everything seemed fine whereas my Apple Wireless keybaord didn't want to work. So really your milage may vary.
The thing with the new Mighty Mouse is that it may require specific drivers for you to be able to configure the additional buttons. If this is the case then it won't work as Apple will need to provide those drivers.
If gaming is important I would go for a USB wireless mouse so you are able to fully configure the mouse and install its software under Windows.

  • Missing blue tooth adapter

    Good day,
On my Pavilion dv 9000 with windows 7 64  I have the following problem:
When I try to switch on my bluetooth with the wireless assistant, the system reports that blue tooth is switched off.
I have searched the microsoft system settings but nothing concerning Bluetooth pops up.
I also don't find anything under  Networksettings.
As it was working before it should be there.
My wireless internet is working normally.
    Thanks Rob

Please visit www.hp.com -> Put the product number of notebook computer in the search tab -> in the following page tyou would get a link for software and driver downloads->look for bluetooth/network adapters -> download and install them. Then check again if the issue persists.
I work with HP. I am not Official Spokesperson.
