Blue tooth connect to imac

i try to sync the my imac to my iphone and the imac says it synced just fine. my iphone says it's unable to sync.... and it has not supported by the imac..... HELP....

No syncing or file transfer is possible between iPhones and computers using BlueTooth.  You can now sync using WiFi if you installed iOS 5.x and iTunes 10.5.

Did you ever find a resolutution to your issue? I have a similar issue after installing Mavericks where the Arris modem goes to sleep when my iMac does, even though other devices on the network are actively requesting data. For the time being, as long as the iMac doesn't sleep the network is fine.

  • Can you use earphone jack and continue to use blue tooth connection to speakers like bose

Can you use earphone jack and continue to use blue tooth connection to speakers like bose

    Hi,
I'm a owner of the X-fi Elite Pro, and for me the headphone + speakers settings works very well. Just to be sure, you bought the X-Fi XtremeGamer Falalty Pro Series? and not the XtremeGamer Fatalty Champ Series or even the old regular X-Fi Fatalty? If so, I'm quite sure you need the I/O box with the 6.35 mm (/4 inch) steroe jack. My headphones are connected through the /4 inch jack on the Elite Pro unit and my 5. surround system through the X-Fi card's 3x /8? mini jack.
I guess you have to buy the X-Fi I/O Dri've Upgrade Kit (or the Console Upgrade Kit) to use your headphones and speakes at he same time. I chose the Console because i couldn't li've with a thick and ugly digital cable sticking out in the front of my PC?
    Hope it helped!

  • Phone turns off blue tooth connection after 30 seconds into the call (when screen goes to sleep)

Installed 2.2, paired my fascinate with my plantronics explore 240 headset, accessed voice dial (which worked), connected my call, after thirty (30) seconds the blue tooth connection dropped, picked up the phone and continued the conversation.  Just turning on bluetooth and leaving the phone sit for 5+ minutes keeping the screen active the blue tooth does not turn off, let the screen go to sleep and the blue tooth turns off.
I can not maintain a blue tooth connection when the screen goes to sleep, not even during a call.  Is there a setting I am missing to keep this from happening or ... An alternative?
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi.
The Bluetooth should not disconnect when your screen goes to sleep.  Have you tried re-pairing the Bluetooth since the upgrade?  Below I have provided you with the steps to pair the Bluetooth again.  (Please make sure both devices are fully charged when doing so.)
Step 1 - Enable Bluetooth functionality on the Samsung Fascinate.
Note: The Bluetooth power must be set to ON position to pair the handset with a Bluetooth headset.
From the main screen, tap Menu.
    Tap Settings
    Tap Wireless & Networks
Tap Bluetooth to turn on Bluetooth
Step 2 - Put your fully charged Bluetooth headset into pairing mode.
Start with your Bluetooth accessory powered off.
Press and hold the Call Control Button until the light indicator flashes blue and red.
Your Bluetooth accessory is now in pairing mode and ready to be paired with your handset.
Step 3 - Pair the Samsung Fascinate with a Bluetooth Accessory.
Note: The Bluetooth power must be set to ON position to pair the handset with a Bluetooth headset.
From the main screen, tap Menu
    Tap Settings
    Tap Wireless & Networks
    Tap Bluetooth Settings
Place accessory in pairing mode, see accessory pairing instructions.
Tap Scan for Devices, device starts Searching.
    Tap [Plantronics Bluetooth] to pair
Pairing Complete, touch home to exit.
If you still need assistance, please send me a Private Message and I will be happy to help you.
    Thanks,

  • Blue Tooth connectivity no longer working in Mazda 3 on ios8 with iPhone 6

I'm imagine I'm not the only person having these issue's and I'm hoping that Apple will release a fix soon but wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with a work around that doesn't involved completely wiping your phone, which I've done with zero success.

    Hi YAC08,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
The steps in this article have helped some users who were pairing their iPhones with a car stereo prior to iOS 8:
If you can’t use a Bluetooth accessory or car kit
Additionally, here are some other troubleshooting tips to keep in mind:
Verify compatibilityContact the manufacturer or refer to your car stereo's user guide to see if your device is compatible.
Note: Some accessories may have limited compatibility.
Update software and firmware if necessaryVerify that both your car stereo and your device have the latest software versions. Contact the manufacturer to see if any updates are available. If your device does not have the latest version of the iOS, update to the latest software version.
    Bluetooth
Car stereos with Bluetooth may allow you to pair a device that can play calls or music through the car speakers. Ensure that your car stereo supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile before attempting to pair an iPod with it.
Note: iPhone can also connect using the HFP Bluetooth profile because it uses HFP to make phone calls through your stereo speakers. iPod devices do not have this protocol (because iPod devices aren't phones).
You can check for the A2DP Bluetooth profile by attempting to play music from your iPhone through your stereo speakers using Bluetooth. If calls route to the stereo speakers but music doesn't, it might not support A2DP. Contact the manufacturer or refer to your car stereo's user guide to see if your device is compatible.
    Disconnect and restart
If you are experiencing difficulties with the connection between your stereo and device, disconnect the device, and then power cycle the stereo and your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. When the Home screen reappears, reconnect your device. If you cannot power cycle the stereo, turn the car off and then back on to allow the stereo to power off.
    Isolate the issue
Try to reproduce the issue with an identical or similar accessory, if one is available, or test with a second device.

  • Desktop software and blue tooth connection for text messaging

    Hello,
I'm a new Blackberry Torch user and have really gotten used to using the desktop software that came with the Nokia phone I had previously. I assumed that Blackberry would have the same or better desktop to phone compatibility, but have found the Blackberry desktop software to be only mediocre. Where is the ability to send and receive text from the desktop, via Bluetooth connection?
Is this an option that has to be downloaded separately or does it even exist? Why isn't it possible to sync pictures and just about anything via Bluetooth? Using to cord is not only inconvenient but archaic. I've owned and loved the Palm Tungsten E2, which was doing this years ago. Is it possible to use the desktop from another company so that I can use the features that I'm used to? And since I am new to Blackberry, do these things already exist, but I haven't connected to them yet? I would like to continue using the Nokia Ovi Suite if possible. Thanks in advance for your time.

First time on this discussion group.  Going back to Italy and using this wonderful cellular phone which I purchased there when this phone was introduced.  Love it!
Never used the Bluetooth function but now wondering if it would be compatible with my HP mini notebook.

  • Any fix for the blue tooth connectivity issues?

It takes up to 4 tries to get my iPhone to connect to my cars. Our Nokia and Samsung phones connect immediately. I've cancelled the connection in both the phone and car twice, hoping to get it to level out, but nothing I do helps.
I've read several blogs and it seems I'm not alone with this issue. I suppose we will have to wait until iOS8 comes out before we know any more.

Do you actually have a technical support question? It seems you don't...
If you do have a question, then provide at least some information with which to troubleshoot.

  • No blue tooth connection after ios upgrade

My Iphone 4s does not find any bluetooth devices after upgrading from ios6 to ios7.
I've tried reseting all configurations for network connections and all configurations in the phone without success.
    What is the next step?

The iPhone has previously been paired with the device. But neither the iPhone or the connecting device (car stereo) detect the other device after this upgrade. I have removed all previously paired devices from the car stereo and other iPhones detect the car stereo.
It's like the iPhone bluetooth doesn't start at all.

  • Trackpad not seen by blue tooth, on my iMac, but works fine on netbook

Trackpad works just fine on Mac book, but take across the hall to my iMac and it is not discovered.

The trackpad won't be discovered until it has disconnected from the other machine.  The range on bluetooth is suppose to be 10m /33.3ft.
The easiest way to disconnect is to power the trackpad off by holding the power button for 5 seconds.  Then power on next to the other system.

  • Blue tooth connect with my mac

how do i connect to my mac with my i phone thru bluetooth

    You don't.
This is not a feature of iphone, unless your wireless provider offers tethering and you are subscribed to the plan.  Then you can use bluetooth for tethering purposes only.
Bluetooth supports stereo headset/speakers, handsfree telephone devices/headsets, some peer-to-peer apps, and tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this, it will not connect to a computer/phone device.

  • IPhone 6 8.0.2 not connecting to Blue Tooth

Having several issues with my iPhone 6 8.0.2, the most annoying of which is the blue tooth connection.
My iPhone 4S was connecting automatically to my Subaru WRX car stereo via blue tooth as soon as I started my car and I never had any issues. Since I purchased an iPhone 6 it does not connect automatically, I need to open settings and attempt to manually connect multiple times because my iPhone usually fails to connect a bunch and asks me if the device Car M_Media is in range and turned on - yes, I'm sitting in it and it's running.
So I guess my question is: how is this an upgrade?

Did you already try to unpair the phone and pair it again after a restart?
Unpair a device. In Settings > Bluetooth, tap next to the device, then tap “Forget this Device.” If you don’t see the Devices list, make sure Bluetooth is on.

  • Blue Tooth Tv as computer Monitor

I have a Samsung LN46A550 new HD TV. I was wondering if there is a way I can use to Blue tooth on my iMac to use this as my computer monitor. I have an Air port if that could be used in anyway.

No, you can't. Firstly, according to its specs, your new TV doesn't even have Bluetooth connectivity. Secondly, Bluetooth is a short-range, rather slow communications protocol. It is nowhere near fast enough for realtime transfer of HD video images, even if the functionality existed.
Airport won't help either, as this is another wireless communications protocol your TV doesn't have.
To use it as a computer monitor, you would need to buy an appropriate video cable to connect the Mac to the TV. Have a look at Page 11 of the for more info.
