Blue Tooth paired but SONY DR-BT50 HEADPHONES not connecting for audio out of iMac
Running Lion on intel based 27" Jan 2012 machine
The Sony Bluetooth Headphones work well with iPhone 3Gs for music and phone but I cannot get audio out of the Desk Top Machine eventhough the headphones are paired - they do not seem to connect. I have selected them as audio out phones in Blue Tooth options but nada. Any thoughts?
    Thanks, iMac1ejf

Do they show up in your SOUND preferences?...

  • BLUE TOOTH SYNC PROBLEMS

I have tried to sync my Iphone with my wives phone but to no avail, I have also tried to sync with my mates Iphone but again to no avail. it is showing my Blue Tooth is visible but I'm not picking up any other devices, it just keeps saying searching.
When I try to sync it with my Tomtom again my Tomtom picks it up but Iphone won't sync.
    Nay thoughts out there?

You can't do what you are trying to do. There is no bluetooth sync or file transfer.
The iPhone bluetooth supports phone headsets, handsfree car kits, A2DP stereo music headsets, and peer-to-peer gaming. Certain apps also use bluetooth for contact and photo transfer.

    Hi Icygator,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
If I understand your post correctly, you are having issues with pairing your iPhone 6 via Bluetooth to your truck.  To troubleshoot this issue I'd like you to please follow the steps in the article below.

  • I've been considering the Yosemite upgrade but especially after reading some of blue tooth lag problems, I'm wondering how to be able to go back to mountain lion.

i have been considering upgrading to Yosemite from Mountain Lion but especially after reading about some of the bluetooth lag problems, i would want to be able to return to my current OS, just in case and am unsure what steps to take.

    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    To clone your existing system:
Clone Yosemite, Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion using Restore Option of Disk Utility
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
         1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
             button.
         2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
         3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
         4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
             to the Destination entry field.
         5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
             the Source entry field.
         6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.

I have a MBP-R and cannot get it to connect to an iPhone 5, iPhone 4, or Lenovo laptop. The pairing wizard finds the devices, authenicates them, then connects but drops the connectino in about 5-10 seconds. I have reset SMC, restarted all devices numberous times. The only connection i really need is the pairing to the iPhone 5. All devices have current OS and updates.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

  • Problem remebering bluetooth pairing with 09 Saab (Gm blue tooth)

I have a 09 saab 9-3, and the car has built in blue tooth. The problem is when i pair the phone it works while the car stays on that whole time. The minuet i turn the car off and try to come back into the car it will not reconnect. If you go to setting and blue tooth and try to tap the correct device it still wont reconnect. The only way to get my GM Blue tooth and my Apple iphone to work is to pair it every time i sit in the car and that just isn't feasible!

    1.   Click the Manage Connections icon on your Home screen
    2.   First, verify that the Bluetooth technology is turned On
    3.   Then select Set Up Bluetooth
    4.   Click Search to find other devices or Listen to allow your BlackBerry smartphone to be discovered by other Bluetooth devices
    5.   Click on the device you would like to pair with and enter the Numeric Passkey if required
    6.   Click Yes
    7.   To connect to a paired device, click the Options icon on the Home screen
    8.   Select Bluetooth
    9.   Click on a Bluetooth enabled device and select Connect
Make sure your headset is also in discoverable mode. Instructions should be included in it's user manual. If this does not work, then I would assume a compatibility issue.
Disclaimer: I'm just a regular user like the rest of you. I have spent a lot of time learning the limitations of the Blackberries to know how to fix most problems. If I have suggested a fix, please give a kudo and mark as a solution!

I am trying to pair up my new Muse Mini blue tooth speaker and my MacBook Air  computer wont even recognize it. I am able to pair it to my iphone5 and it works wonderful. I would appreciate any assistance solving this. Thanks Jim

Hi any one looking at this problem. I kept reading posts and found one that said to make sure if I had paired the muse mini to another device I should turn the other device blue tooth off. I did and bingo it paired to the Mac Air. Thanks all.

  • Remove paired blue tooth from Centro

I have been trying out blue tooth earpieces, found one I like (the blue ant Z9i).  How do I delete the remaining paired blue tooth's listed under "all known devices"?  Also, any feedback on the multipoint function of the Z9i would be appreciated.

I hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I'm having the same problem. I've followed the suggestions on this thread, with no luck. Any further suggestions would be appreciated. Sam.
