Blue tooth won't stay on in car.

Blue tooth in my car will not stay connected, I try to add it back in manually, but it will still disconnect? Any suggestions?

Have you been to the Sync site to review troubleshooting? I encourage you to visit http://support.lincoln.com/topics/sync-technology as the details are all available there. I recommend you remove the bluetooth connection from the phone to start it as brand new. Go to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Bluetooth settings -> Select and hold the paired bluetooth device -> Select Unpair. Let us know if this improves the experience.

Blue tooth won't locate other hardware

My Ipod touch with ios 5.1 won't find any other blue tooth units on my WIFI network. It seemed to work fine before I upgraded the rouer to the Dovo Tiny. Other hardware with bluetooth works fine on the same network. Any ideas?

The only thing you can try on that model is a factory reset from the settings menu but it's not likely to work.
Return it to the retailer as they have sold you a faulty phone. It has most likely suffered a hard fall or water damage if bluetooth doesn't work. The longer you have it the more problems you are likely to have.
Make sure you buy it's replacement from a more reliable company.

From where to where? Is Blue tooth turned on? Within the 20-30' bluetooth range? Successfully used blue tooth before? Any additional information would be helpful.

Its a USB cigarette lighter adapter. Just plug your dual cable into it and you're go to go.
BTW, it is compatible with the iPhone so it meets the correct power standards.

IPhone 4S won't discover car blue tooth

just got a new iPhone 4S cuz my last one (also a 4s)
the touch screen malfunctioned. (never had an issue pairing that one with my car)
new phone will NOT find my car blue tooth. any suggestions to trouble shoot or do I once again have to go get a new phone and sit there for an hour waiting to back up from iCloud again?

Are you sure your car is in "discovery" mode, looking for a new Bluetooth device?

What are you trying to do?
The Bluetooth is meant for earplug, headset, keyboard, car hands-free set, and speakers.
You need a 3rd party app to do BT file transfer or other functions between iDevices.

If the Belkin supports the A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) profile then it will work.

IPhone 3Gs no longer connects to my Blue Tooth hands free cars

Within the last week, there appears to be a software update to my iPhone 3Gs. Since that time, my phone can no longer be paired with the hands free blue tooth options in both of my vehicles. The first vehicle is a 2010 Lincoln MKX with Sync and my other vehicle is a 2010 Volvo C30. Have other people experienced this? I have updated the connection between the phone and both vehicles. If I cannot get this fixed it looks like my iPhone is useless as a phone with blue tooth.

Problem solved!! I finally managed to pair the SE HCB-100 car kit speakerphone with the 3GS. I surfed the SE web site and it mentioned resetting the speakerphone. Tried it on 'one color ID' but it didn't work so I did it on all 'color IDs' and left it on reset mode when it 'accidentally' was picked up by my 3GS while searching!!! Found 'headset' and then recognised it as HCB-100. One happy guy for the holidays!!!

I've connected the phone to the car... no problem thru blue tooth.
But when I want to play audio, either the ipod app or the npr app, it plays thru the internal speaker... How do I direct the audio stream to the car's internal speaker??? Thanks

Your car has to have the Bluetooth audio feature for that to work

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
