Bluecove - connecting with remote device

Hello,
I am in a situation to use bluecove for communicating remote device(Not a mobile phone) with my PC. Using the test code, I can able to identify the remote device. I want to know which functionalities will be useful for make a connection with the bluetooth remote device and get data from it. Please tell me some links which will help me as a starting point for reading about the bluecove.

I am trying to update the software on my E5 using OVI suite but I keep getting an error during the install phase (after backup). The following error and instructions are displayed in the OVI suite window but makes no difference when I follow these instructions (just end up back with the same error).

Yep having the same issue. Just got a replacement handset due to the random restarting issue, soon after setting up the new handset I get a message on phone saying software update is available. Both OVI suite and Nokia software updater say version 43.115 is available (about 200mb in size), I currently have the same version as you 42.007. It claims to do a lot of improvements to the handset. The update downloads fine but when it comes to installing I keep getting the same issue. Phone simply will not restart automatically and the update restarts then fails at the same point over and over. Had the same problem with my previous handset.
I spoke with my network provider to see if it was an issue with the handset needing firmware specific to them but they said no it is an issue with the firmware itself and has been happening to everyone since its release!!! They said I should not download it until Nokia has resolved the issues with it. But how do I know when that will happen as I cannot find anything put out by Nokia stating there is an issue or anywhere on web forums saying there is actually a problem.

I have tried reseting the network settings and forgetting my wireless connection and re-connecting to it. I even backed up my phone on itunes and restored it, factory reseted it. Nothing seems to work.
Also after my upgrade to ios 8.1 my personal hotspot option under cellular data has disappeared.
Would you please help me out? I would really appreciate it.

I have 3rd party software wirelessly injected and used on my iphone with a cryptographic authentication system without my consent (seems to be new technology developed by stanford and apple security is not updated for this technology) obtaining ownership of my iPhone 4s software and controlling it with remote device to jail breaking my phone, adding and removing software, changing settings all from a remotely controled device from different location (I have a Mac address I'd of this device to know for sure). Almost undetectable. When I look at the legal section of my phone it shows a list of all the unauthorized 3rd party software "as is" copyright encrypted on the phone. This is the most basic way to legally steal software of any kind. Because of this legalality 3rd party ownership have total control of certain software correlated with hardware use including visualization technology, etc. most people luckily will never have this happen to them so it's unlikely many readers have not a clue of what I'm saying currently. Either way, without needing to obtain specific warranty of any kind "as is" copyright control makes system restores not a solution because the source code is not directly encrypted on the actual hardware device only a copy right notice must appear on the specific device 3rd party software validation making it extremely difficult for me to take control of the situation. Apple claims their iOS technology prevents this type copyright obstruction from being possible, however, according to my phone a new form of technology was used developed by Tom wu of Stanford university called the STANFORD SRP AUTHENTICATION TECHNOLOGY which uses Some form of cryptographic authentication system and uses quote "secure remote password" which seems to suceed in hacking iOS apple technology apple claims is not possible to jailbreak an unstolen phone or without the owners consent As well as loading the device with 3rd party copyright Notices to make all of this legalized. My phone shows atleast 30 pages worth of legalized 3rd party copyright permissions! Yesterday my apple care provider labeled me a jailbreaker and refused to look at my legal documented proof which completely blew my mind because it voides my apple care contract I spent 100 on. This employee did not take all factors into consideration and made quick assumptions as well as verbally speaking to me as I'm an automatic criminal. I left the store yesterday with no payed insurance help on a problem I had no control over and couldn't prevent, leaving with voided contracts. This is an apple users worst nightmare and I have spent days researching all of this like i am some kind of lawyer only to be able to use my phone the way it should and spent alot of money on. I can legally backup any claim I have just wrote above currently and have a large source of data collected to prove apple is wrong in voiding insurance support on this issue. The problem lies in apple avoiding and not wanting to believe their software can legally be obtained ot "hacked". Yet still labeled a jailbreaker basically.. What should I do????? Been to local apple store 3 times and rebooted my phone as well sprint service restore 4 times and spoke with reps twiice on the phone. Spoke with my phone provider who said apple has full control over these matters so they can't help me. My case is according to apple "still open"...Anyone else heard of this or of Stanford's office of technology licensing? Maybe I need to buy a blackberry again or just use a landline so I can stop being my own lawyer and focus on other productive areas in life instead of this horrible mess. Yes, Tom Wu of Stanford wrote a paper on something called Secure Remote Access Protocol. It's a form of Asymetric Key Exchange and has nothing to do with hacking anything. It's actually intended to protect data.

Solved. Travel router WTR54GS sharing one wireless hotspot connection with multiple devices

Hi, Passing on info I've learned.
The manual for the WTR54GS mentions being able to "...use multiple devices on a single hotspot account in a coffee shop or airport lounge...". See my original posting, "How to set up a wireless private bubble at paid hotspot? WTR54GS?", which ended in a dead end. I subsequently had a Linksys live chat session and the representative provided the solution. Perhaps worthy to be included in the Wireless FAQ?
Situation: you have access to a paid hotspot (hotel room, meeting room, etc.) and you want to share the connection with several devices, also wirelessly.
Solution: the WTR54GS can accept an incoming Internet connection wirelessely and re-broadcast that connection to form your own private bubble or network. (Note the WTR54GS can also accept an incoming Internet connection via Ethernet cable).

The hotspot has to be "open", that is transmitting an SSID and with no WEP or WPA key. It may have a log-in page accessible via a web browser, this is okay as this will be passed onto the connected device.
My personal application is to be able to connect a PDA that has a 801.2b wifi to a 801.2g wireless network. I haven't tried it but if this works, it will extend the useful life of my PDA in a "g" environment. Will report back once I find a "g" only environment. Comments?

There are two conditions which must be met in order to use your WTR54GS to "extend" an incoming, wireless internet connection:
The incoming connection must be unsecured. You have already covered this point;
The security settings on your WTR54GS can only be set to "WEP," or to "Disabled." If you choose "WEP," then you can use either a 40/64-bit, or a 128-bit key.
If those two conditions have been met, then it works fine -- says the guy who is sharing one paid internet conneciton in his hotel amongst three devices, and with co-workers in nearby rooms.

I would recommend the steps in the article below. See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

My organization is currently looking to migrate towards using MBAM from McAfee's Endpoint Encryption product. Our environment may be a little different from a lot of other companies though.
I've watched a few installation guides (including the newest from TechEd this year) and still have a couple of questions for deployment for our organization.
The computers that will be encrypted, they will be set up internally on our network and then shipped out of our network perimeter. This means that communication needs to take place over the internet. Does the MBAM server support open web communication with
remote devices over the web (assuming over port 443 or designated port)?
Secondly, if we need to restrict access to a computer remotely (as in disable a user) does MBAM automatically take care of this for us, or will we need a open facing domain controller that can be hit from the web as well?

First, MBAM clients requires access to the MBAM service to update compliance status as well as store new recovery keys (if one is used). Other than that it is fine to use the PC outside of the corp network without access.
Secondly, MBAM doesn't help you to disable a user on a local machine. It doesn't manage users at all. Perhaps I missunderstand you.

Reload Software:552 and then "Application loader was unable to connect with your device."

I'm new to this forum and looking for a help please..
My curve 8900 got the "Reload Software:552" message on the screen. I was trying to uninstall an application and after it asked me to reboot, it showed me that message. I already try to reinstall the OS like most of you guys said. But when I already in the process of that, it showed me "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect yout device, enter password, if requiered, and retry"
I was trying this steps..
1. use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager
2. connect the BlackBerry to the computer using a USB cable
3. click application loader, then start
4. then i choose the OS and apps i want to install it also
5. after i click finish and the process start, i stuck on the task 2 of 5 "wait for device initialization" and then the message "Application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please re-connect yout device, enter password, if requiered, and retry" showed.
I try and try again but there is no use. it keeps show that message.
help me please, this really frustrates me

1. Make certain your USB cable is connected to a main REAR USB port on the rear of the PC, not a front USB port, not a USB hub.
2. Try loading the OS with these instructions (make sure that Desktop Manager is not running):

"The BlackBerry Desktop Software cannot connect with this device." after repair

I download the Desktop Software for BlackBerry onto my Mac Book Pro for the first time.
After installing I connected my PlayBook. I get the message "The BlackBerry® Desktop Software cannot connect with this device."
The program suggested I repair the device software, so I did. After that I set it up and ran the updates.
When I plug it back in I get the exact same message.
What should I do next?

I also cannot connect to my two playbooks using desktop manager on mac.
One of the two playbooks is now shipped back to rim for repair (see here http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/5MP-Playbook-Camera-Blackscreen-Errors-Ha... The issue of desktop manager not being able to connect to the playbook started with this playbook when the repair I was prompted to to stopped 1/4 way into it. Multiple retries did not make any difference.
Since then, I have tried connecting my other (functioning) playbook to the same mac but when I plug in usb cable I get the same "cannot connect" errmsg and prompted to "repair". I am definitely NOT going to "repair" this one. So I uninstalled the desktop manager and reinstalled it to see if it makes a difference. Unfortunately it did not and I get the same "cannot connect" errmsg.
If anyone has any suggestion how this issue can be resolved that would be great. I think something is stuck on the mac and is not getting wiped out when desktop manager is uninstalled. Thanks.

EX60 - Lost connection with control device

After upgrading my EX60 from 6.3.1 to 7.1.1 I now receive "Lost connection with control device" and the touch control panel sits in a spinning loop.
I also reveive the following within the web management interface on the EX60:
ERROR: Touch panel connection
No touch panel detected when indicators forced
If I downgrade back to 6.3.1 it works again. I have already rebooted and factory reset the entire unit and also disconnected and reconnected the touch panel.

We use a Crestron controller so we will never connect a Cisco touch panel... we just want the error message to go away in the diagnostics/troubleshooting web page.

After iTunes 11 I get error 15006, cannot connect to remote device

Since I've updated to iTunes 11 I get error code 15006. I can go into iTunes and re-select the remote device (an Airport Express) and it works fine. If I put my computer to sleep it generates the 15006 error. It happens at my work computer too which runs the same basic network.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

Connection with serial device (SPP)

I try to connect with a bluetooth serial device (a robot, no standard device) which is working with every PC but not from my MAC. I can connect to the device (I use ZTerm) and send one character, but not more. If I send more, those characters are not send until I quit and restart ZTerm. Then (nearly) all characters are sent. I can get all characters sent by the device. It seems a problem of flushing the buffers at some level of the drivers. Any experience or idea?
