1.Is there any material or website that provides information about the project implementation in the real business scenarios. I mean a sample project in work place. Does anybody have the blueprint material personally?
2. What is the difference between G/L master data and vendor/customer master data?

How can i convert/invert colors in a scanned pdf blueprint?

We have several large format blueprints to scan in and I want to change the blue to white and white to black so I can view/print them. Is this possible?

Try changing the settings on your scanner to scan using greyscale. That's probably the most effective way to get the color shift you're looking for.

PDF of a blueprint comes up as a whole image instead of individual lines.

PDF of a blueprint comes up as a whole image instead of individual lines. I have tried tracing it and that does not pull out the individual lines also, stays a one image only. how do I get just the individual lines?

Several pdfs worked perfectly during my testing before going this route. it wasn't until later that I found some files have this issue. I can not find what the difference is between files that work and files that don't. Ones that work come up as individual lines right away, ones that don't are one solid image.
As Jacob mentioned in post #7, the file in question is a scanned (raster) image of an old drawing which may not even exist in vectors ('individual lines,' as it were) anymore, if it ever had. You can't make assumptions based on the fact that a file is in PDF format. A PDF can contain all raster image data, all vector data, and/or a mix of both.

Getting error while creating a blueprint from SOLAR01 in MSOFFICE2013

Hi,
I am newbie to solution manager. I have created one implementation project in solution manager. I have applied all the related process documents and test cases and configurations to all the business steps and processes.But while creating the business blueprint through SOLAR01, a business blue print document is created with blank page. I need to run the macro and i have set necessary settings for macros in MSWORD 2013. When i try to run the macro i am getting the follwing error : " Run time error 4605: This method or property i snot available because this document is not available for reading". Plz provide me some solution.

try to check the check box in MS Word - File - Options - General - "Open e-mail attachements and other uneditable files in reading view"
I am not sure how this option really works, but I think you will find it checked. So try to uncheck it.
Or wise versa :c)

Getting error while generating Business Blueprint Document for Project

Hello Experts,
I hv created a project in Solution manager 3.2 through solar_project_admin . Now iam in the phase of defining its Business Blueprint . I hv completed the steps, at the end when iam generating Business Blueprint document ,following error is being displayed:
Blueprint document cannot be created. Check the selection
Message no. SOLAR110
Diagnosis
A Business Blueprint document created for the selected selection options would contain no structure elements. It would be empty, so it is not created.
Procedure
Choose less restrictive selection options, especially the option
"Print Structure Elements: Complete Selection" in the "Options" tab.
I hv checked this error and the option displayed above in the error message but no such option is being displayed anywhere,can anyone plz help me out with how to resolve this problem?
Requested to revert at earliest as iam stuck with this since many days,My email id is [email protected] .

What are the major differences b/w live copy blueprint and Language copy of CQ ?

We are in process of creating a different Language Versions of a Website and trying to figure out the best/recommended approach.
what are the major differences b/w live copy blueprint and Language copy of CQ ? which one is recommended in which ? any pointers on this would be appreciated.

The language copy tool is a one-shot tool to create pages under a certain structure. It has a nice UI for it. But that's it.
The MSM blueprint/livecopy concept is much more powerfull, because it has live connections between the blueprint and the livecopy. It does not only allow you to easily create livecopies, but supports you also in maintaining the relationshop between these. So you can easily detect, that the blueprint page has been updated and needs to be rolled out again. Or that there are conflicts, because both blueprint and livecopy have been updated independently. And so on.
From my perspective the language copy tool should not be used, because with creation of language pages the "fun" has just started and the real work is just ahead.

Blueprint graphic attributes - Global setting possible?

Within the blueprint graphic tab, an automatic graphic (EPC) is created. On this graphic you then can set three attributes, e.g. show arrowheads or show interface icons.
I want this setting to be done for the whole blueprint in order to have a standard look for these graphics. Is this possible, and if yes, how can this be done?

I have Satellite Pro M70. Generally the graphic card upgrade on notebooks is not possible. CPU maybe but graphic card . I really dont believe it.
Can you imagine what happen inside of notebook if the exchange could be possible?

i got business blueprint for sap sd implementation i have folloing problem in pricing please help me out.
1.Do you require the functionality to create user-defined indexes in the pricing table? This will enable you to search for your prices using company-specific search criteria such as what operation input ?what prices on a certain day?
2 Do you ever base the prise of an item on the cost to manufacture or purchase the material?
3. Eill you need to pas pricing information to the sales informatiom system?
how to configure above requirement in business blueprints?

I install Oracle Business Process Architect 11g again but with local DB. there is quick start example. when I share blueprint that project, It is ok but when I add a repository server and share a project inside it nothing happen.

QM Sample of a detailed Blueprint process for Quality Defects to Resolution

Hello SAP Guru's,
My business is looking to make a serious investment in a Quality Management System. We are in the process of selling SAP but found one major gap to sell the entire SAP QM module.
Before we do a draft or complete flow or blueprint of our own, we do not have a sample to sell these processes to the business for them to even consider SAP.
We found many documents and presentations on CAPA, 8D, Notifications but nothing at a high-level that would Cleary sell it.
When looking at the SAP QM system it has integration points to just about every SAP module. To explain the capabilities in an email or a word document is not enough to really highlight the process capabilities of QM - SAP.
Since I know some companies have implemented the SAP QM system in various industries, we would appreciate if you could provide feedback on your experience and provide a sample of an overall process flow or blueprint (Draft / other) that has been documented to help us sell the SAP QM system as a whole.
The specific areas that we are working on are and we do not want to design the car before first inventing the wheel:
DEFECT's materials today we use QM - QN QN
Customer, Vendor and internal Complaints.
Engineering defects.
CA/PA - seems to fit into what action you have taken to resolve the above.
8D
Inspection Characterisic Processing
SPC
And Solutions & Lessons Learned for each.
These items seem to fit into the same process inputs and outputs at a high level, so sample documents that you have implemented would we an awesome help.

Generating Business Blueprint in Word 2007

Folks:
Does anyone have a fix for generating a Business Blueprint in Solution Manager when the document is generated in 2007. When you run the marco to build the blueprint, it does not link the documents and the blueprint is incomplete. This is not an issue if you are using Word 2003.

In MS Word 2007 change Micro Trust setting may help you.
In menu>Word Options>Trust Center>Trust center settings>Enable All Micro.

Java EE 5 Blueprints fail to build

It appears that the most recent version of the blueprints for EE 5 contains a bug.
Refrence the following:

thank you for your proposal. I already did this, the development component that gets generated is of type Java.
It seems that it looses the java connector nature. When I deploy the composite application with the ear development component the resource adapter gets not build and not deployed at all.
Are thee additional steps that I have to do ?

Good day SAP gurus/ veterans
I have just entered a project which has just moved into the blueprinting phase and I am to assist the functional lead on the blueprint preparation. I am not experienced in the blueprint design phase so any assisting documents would be very helpful. I was hoping whether someone could share with me a blueprint template and/ or QA examples to go about in the preparation.

Blueprint Application Builder Error.

Dear Gurus,
I went to CRMC_BLUEPRINT transaction code and selected the BluePrint Application Builder. BAB got launched in Internet Explorer. When I select the Application as "Leads" and View as "Lead Manager" and click on "Load Application" I get a java script message saying "SAP data could not be maintained in the customer system". I get this message for any selection of Application and View. Can you pls advice me.

Blueprints Ajax Map Viewer Error - NoClassDefFoundError

I am at a loss to understand why I get the error below when using the blueprints ajax Map Viewer component.
At one time I had this working, but somethng must have changed.
Everything compiles, so all the components are being found, but when I navigate to the page, I get
a NoClassDefFoundError that appears to point to something within blueprints.
I have located the portion of my java code that appears to be the source of the problem.
It is creating a new instance of the MapComponent() class.
Can anyone suggest what I can look for to resolve this problem?

Vcac6.x blueprint customization question/problem

Hi Guys,
I just started with Vcac6.x blueprint customization
I have a problem with my new blueprint that i have created concerning the customization
Blueprint exist out of the VM template ( created in Vcenter ) with customization spec (also created in Vcenter )
The Blueprint have 2 fixed volume drives ( C and D ) but i have created 4 build profiles to extend this template with 2 more volumes ( L & B Drive)
build profiles are like:

Problem is when i deploy with the blueprint it's getting deployed but the B & L Drive are not there in the OS. When i check the settings of the VM i see there 4 VMDK. It seems like the drive are added to the VM but not configured in the OS
the VM template is a windows server 2012 R2 and the guest agent has been installed. Is there anything i can check so that this can work

I found it. the agent couldn't reach the https://youriaas.vcac.x
Network adjusted the firewall and it works from one template
Now i've got an other problem
We have a template for Win 2012 R2 ( created in the past) and here i have installed my guest agent. in the template i can reach the https://youriaas.vcac.x/ and my cert.pem is 2kb. Which is good
I created the blueprint with the template and also defined the customization spec (Vcenter). I added also a customization for my D Drive - 20 gb. And i published it to the catalog
build profile is like:

VirtualMachine.Disk2.Label    Data

To test i did a request but here i noticed that only one disk is visible ( C drive ) and not my other volume ( D Drive )
But when i adjust the blueprint with my working template then i see in the request that the D drive is visible. Any checks that i can do or would the template been corrupted and should i start with a new vm and install my guest agent on it and convert it to a template --> created blueprint --> ...
