Bluescreen reads "device driver stuck in continuous loop"

I have no knowledge of computers at all. I have had my laptop for about 18 months I purchased it new online while living in London and it has had this problem basically from the beginning but I was slack and didnt try to get it fixed on warrantee.
It will turn on and work for a random period of time (sometimes 10 mins and sometimes 2 hours) then suddenly the screen goes blue and it reads a lot of numbers (I can get these and write them if required) and states "device driver stuck in a continuous loop beginning dump of physical memory, contact manufacturer for update on device. . . ."
I have no idea what this means or what I should do/who I should ask etc.
Can anyone advise me please?

Hi!
Its not easy to say what is wrong.
First of all, which notebook do you have exactly?
In your position, I would first check the RAM. There are some special tools and I do this always with Memtest86.
You can download an ISO image to burn it on a CD from [www.memtest86.com]
Boot from CD and test your RAM, maybe you will get some errors.
You can also reinstall Windows with the recovery disk. It could be a software or driver issue.
If you have more questions, I will try to help you.
Bye

  • Igxprd 32, device driver stuck in an infinite loop

Just attempted to reset a hard drive on our T61 to its factory settings (Windows XP) using the "Recovery CD Set"  (rescue and recovery cd, supplemental product recover cd, and 6 product recovery cd's).  During the final step, the computer reboots itself; however, Windows can't load.  I keep getting an error on a small blue screen, referencing a problem with "igxprd32" and that the device driver got stuck in an infinite loop.  How can I fix this issue.  (Product ID 6465CT0)  Thank you!

The problem also occurs with safari beta (3.0.4) and firefox (2.0.0.9). The Bluescreen is reproducible on both browsers with some pages of apple.com (those with Quicktime videos). • IPhoto 8.0 (iLife 09) stuck in continuous loop when importing!

Help please! When I try to import photos in iPhoto now, a message pops up "the server may not exist or is not operational at this time. Check the server and your network connection and try again.". If I click ok, the message just pops up again. So IPhoto won't do anything. It is just frozen until I force quit!

Never mind - I think it was something to do with finder. It was having trouble finding something on the network. I deleted it out of places in the finder window and now it is not coming up when I import photos.

  • IPhone not showing up in iTunes- device driver issue?

I'm having a problem getting iTunes to recognize my iPhone. I'm running XP Pro 64-bit. I know iTunes isn't supposed to work with x64 XP, but I've had it working for months now (by doing a quick edit to the .msi installer it will install on XP). I'm using the newest iTunes 8.1 and the new 3.0 iPhone OS (yes, im on the developer program). When i plug it in windows beeps and gives me the camera wizard, but iTunes does nothing. I've tried updating the driver in device manager and choosing "i will pick the driver to install" and then picking the apple mobile device driver. i clicked "continue anyway" when it told me my face was going to melt off if i use this driver. I went to help in iTunes and ran diagnostics; everything passes on the connectivity tests, but then it tells me "one or more sync tests failed". I had it working 2 days ago with the 3.0 and iTunes 8.1. it just all the sudden stopped working. any help is greatly appreciated. i thank you in advance for your time.

If you are a registered developer - the iPhone SDK runs on an Intel Mac running OS X Leopard only, then you can visit the Developer Forum for the SDK (which isn't supported with Windows) and for the 3.0 BETA, which is for IPhone and iPod Touch app development, which requires an Intel Mac running Leopard.

  • Continual reboot and device driver missing

Hi, I have a t400 installed with both win7 and ubuntu 11.04. The system suffers from continual reboot, basically when I shutdown the machine, it automatically and forcibly get rebooted.
I have followed some instructions on the web, and there is a device driver missing, which is PCI simple communication controller. I have tried download AMT package, which does not work for me. It gets stucked in a terminal saying that I need insert TN33, which I dont have. My t400 type is 7417. Any comments are appreciated.

    hey tristartom,
continuous reboot occured after installing ubuntu yes ? could you remove ubuntu and have your unit on a mono-boot with windows and see if the same error occurs.
if it doesn't happen, then i suggest heading to Ubuntu forums or the Linux thread in this forum and check with other linux users if they have experience this same issue as you.

  • Nvidia driver in continuous loop

When MS sent out those massive updates about a month ago, the computer said one of the updates caused the driver nv4_disp.ldll    to go into a  continuous loop.
When turning on the computer after it started to load, the screen would go white.  The only way to stop that was to pull power cord.  On/off switch would not do it.
I have (I think) uninstalled the driver and attempted to reinstall the driver.  The computer will only run in Safe Mode.
After that I got a message that the BIOS might be out of date.  Using all the posts I could find and printing the info off the Toshiba websites, I have been unable to update my BIOS because I can not get the BIOS update screen to come up. I have tried F2 and ESC F1, and just for good measure, I've tried all the other F's.
Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100  X86 based PC   Windows XP Pro SP3
    BIOS version 1.70  11/29/2002

Complete instructions for buring the bios update files to a self booting CD are included in the archive file/  You have to decompress the file first prior to burning it otherwise it won't work.  Once you download the file you need to double click on it, uncheck the "When done unzipping open Launcher.exe" box so that it doesn't try to flash from windows.  Make a note of the location it unzips the files to.  Now follow these instructions to the letter to create a self booting BIOS flash CD.
    4) BOOT CD-ROM INSTALLATION METHOD
If your Toshiba PC is equipped with a bootable CD-ROM device (CD-ROM,
DVD-ROM, DVD-RW, DVD-Multi, etc.), and you have access to a CD writer
(burner, either installed in your Toshiba PC or in another PC), you can
create a bootable BIOS installation CD-ROM using the ISO CD image,
2610v19.iso, provided in this distribution. Once you create the bootable
CD-ROM, simply boot your computer from the resulting CD.
To boot from CD, you can either hold down the "C" key while you turn your
computer on, or you can use HWSetup to change the boot priority so the CD
    drive boots before the HDD.
Note, if your CD burner supports it, you can use a rewritable CD (CD-RW) disc
to create the bootable BIOS installation CD-ROM. Be sure to erase the
rewritable disc (if it has data on it) before you proceed. Once you are
finished updating your system's BIOS, you can erase and re-use the rewritable
    disc.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Creating the bootable BIOS Installation CD requires a
specific set of steps that is unique to each CD authoring application. You
cannot simply copy the ISO image to a blank CD and expect to be able to boot
    from it.
For your CD authoring/burning software, follow the instructions for creating
a CD from an ISO image. Brief instructions for some CD authoring/burning
software can be found in ISOCDROM.TXT, which is included in this package.
Here are some brief instructions for creating the bootable BIOS Installation CD from the provided ISO image.
Drag 'n Drop     Unfortunately the Drag 'n Drop CD application bundled with
CD:              many Toshiba PC models does not support creating a CD from
an image.  You'll need to use a different CD burning
                     application.
One such application for Windows XP is Alex Feinman's free
"ISO Recorder Power Toy". This appears to be a desktop
extension for Windows XP that allows you to right-click on
the 2610v19.iso file and use Windows XP's built-in
CD writing wizard to create the bootable CD.  It's a
reasonable alternative to buying a commercial software
package just to be able to burn an ISO image.  Information
about the ISO Recorder Power Toy is available at
                     http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
Note:  Toshiba neither recommends nor supports this
software.  Use it at your own risk.
Roxio Easy       By default, Easy CD Creator 5 allows you to initiate the ISO
CD Creator:      image recording process by simply double-clicking the .ISO
file in Windows Explorer.  Browse to C:\2610V19
                     and double-click the 2610v19.iso file.
Information about Easy CD Creator is available
                     at http://www.roxio.com
Nero:            Using the Nero Wizard, choose "CD" as the medium (default
for CD-R and CD-RW drives), and click Next. On the
following dialogs, choose Compile a new CD, Other CD formats,
Create a CD from an image file, clicking Next after each
selection, then click Finish.  In the File Open dialog,
                     browse to C:\2610V19,
select 2610v19.iso as the image file and click Open.
From the Burn dialog, select your desired burn parameters,
and burn the CD. Information about Nero is available at
                     http://www.ahead.de

  • AG2712A: "THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER" BSOD

I am experiencing random computer restarts with the following error message: "THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER" There are lots of results that basically relate to graphics card. For instance: http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=584512#Error6 but updating drivers or even reinstalling windows completely clean doesn't help the issue.
For now I've disabled AMD video graphics card in the device manager which stopped random restarts, but that's obviously not fixing my issue just a temporary workaround because I can't use the card for gaming. MSI recently updated AMD drivers, perhaps it's causing it. I hope someone has some other suggestions I can try.

I am having the same issue. Blue screen and same error. I know its a driver issue for graphics because i cant even play titanfall because of it. I would like to know what you did to figure it out. Bceause i cant figure out any updates that work or any alternative. Please someone help.
First thing is create a ticket with MSI. The more people report the more likely MSI will look into this. Then simply download latest amd drivers. When doing install I unchecked everything except drivers. Also, I am using beta.

  • VISTA - can;t find device driver for your IPOD - read the solution here!

It would appear that VISTA is rather stupid when it comes to the Ipod - it can't find the driver for itself. Do the normal autmatic way of trying to find the driver (that doesn't find the device) then look in the hardware device list (control panel) you should see you Ipod listed under other devices with a yellow triangle next to it. Right click this line and select "properties". then click "update device driver". Then, DON'T do the automatic find, instead click "I will choose the device from a list". Click on "storage device" and voila! VISTA now finds a USB mass storage device and installs it - JOB DONE! HOORAY!
    good luck!

When you are prompted to look for a driver input
C:\WINDOWS\System32 and browse it will find a generic
    volume that fixes it.
I tried this as well. I can find a Generic Volume (I think it lists SD, MMC- neither of which seem correct), but neither of those helps. iPod still isn't recognized as a drive even in disc mode. I started another thread after not finding this one. I'm not sure why USB Mass Storage device isn't one of the options.

Can you get to the Home screen?  If so, double-click the Home button.  A row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen.  Scroll across and look for the App that is stuck.  Press on its icon until it starts to wiggle.  A red minus sign should appear on each icon.  Press the minus sign to remove the App from the list, which will also stop it from running.
Click the Home button to stop the wiggling, and again to return to the Home screen.
If that does not help, try resetting (rebooting) the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
