Bluetooth 4.0 Headphones

I know this question has been asked a billion times before.  I am throwing my question in the pool too.  I am looking for a good Bluetooth 4.0 "over the ear" type of headphones for my iPhone 5.   I would be listening ONLY to music not talking on the phone with the headphones.  I am looking for a comfortable "earcup" type of headphones.  I don't want headphones that have a heavy bass either.  The Sony DR-BT50 is a good set but old technology.
I am looking for a good bluetooth 4.0 "earcup" headphones with a decent battery life.
Any suggestions?

no matter what version of bluetooth you use
then if the headset does not support a2dp

if it does not support the a2dp bluetooth profile then the headset will only work for phone calls

  • Bluetooth earbuds or headphones for iPod nano

Which bluetooth earbuds or headphones are compatible with the iPod nano?

I use these with my iPhone and they're pretty good:
    http://www.amazon.com/Bonnaire-MX-610-bluetooth-Premium-control/dp/B00OE19PGQ/re f=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1423253677&sr=8-7&keywords=wireless+earbuds
It says in the specs they support A2DP so if deggie's right they'll work with the nano too.

  • Can I use Bluetooth 3.0 headphone on the iPod Touch 5th Generation which has Bluetooth Blue 4.0?

Can I use Bluetooth 3.0 headphone on the iPod Touch 5th Generation which has Bluetooth Blue 4.0?  This will be a first time purchase of a headphone, (preferably behind the head, earbuds) mostly likely from an on-line store.  Any recommendations?

    Yes, it is backwards compatible.

  • Simultaneous E71 Bluetooth handsfree and Headphon...

I have Bluetooth handsfree (factory) built into my Car Audio that is non-A2DP. So to listen to Audio on the E71 I need to connect through Headphone to the Car Stereo system. When I do this , Bluetooth Handsfree malfunctions. The Audio (that Im listening to )  is silenced when there is an Incoming call that I answer, but the E71 seems to cut-off ALL audio through its bluetooth  as well (I hear silence plus the other end is unable to hear anything I say).
Ideally, I would like to have the listen to my music through the Wired Headphone link, but would like to take the incoming call through bluetooth handsfree. Any way to make both these work together?
Please help if any of you have a fix for this.

I doubt if this is possible because  there is interlock mechanism (hardware/software) that once the phone senses a head phone is plug into its socket be it from other source, the speaker(mike too) as well as blue tooth profile for head phone are disable. A2DP in blue tooth means it could transmit/receive in stereo.Have you tried to go the web site of that car kit, it could only be an upgrade of its firmware will solve the conectivity issue your facing. Blue tooth connection only without using a separate cable to the stereo system.

  • IPhone 5 question about Bluetooth headsets and headphone jack audio out.

I have an iPhone 5. When I'm connected to a bluetooth headset, can I still use the headphone jack to play audio through my stereo between calls without having to disconnect the headphone jack for calls or shut off the headset for tunes?

when one connects a wires headset it it mutes the internal speaker
when one connects a bluetooth headset it mutes the internal speaker and any wired connected headsets

  • Bluetooth Adapter and Headphones Woes!! It was Better on OS 2.2.1

I am hoping someone can help me with my bluetooth scenario. I connect my iPhone to the car stereo via its headphone jack and also to my Jabra SP700 bluetooth device. I cruise listening to the iPod feature of my iPhone and when a call comes in, the music stops and the bluetooth kicks in for the call. I get sound and microphone through the bluetooth. When I hang up, the bluetooth stops emitting sound and the iPod resumes music play over headphones and I am HAPPY!
With the OS 3.0, that appears to have gone away -- my happiness that is! I have found at least 2 undesirable features:
    1. When I receive a phone call bluetooth kicks in and I can talk fine. However, when I hang up, the music doesn't resume anymore. I have to unlock the phone and hit play again (or double 'home' click) -- BUT now the music plays over my bluetooth headset instead of the headphones like it was before the call. I then have to fiddle with it to return it to 'headphones'. This seems less user friendly than it was before OS 3.0.
    2. If I try to make a call while music is playing, it tries to handle the call via the headphones, but nothing comes out. The bluetooth does not kick in and I can't hear anything. I again have to change the audio option manually once it actually starts ringing. When the call is over and I hit play on the iPod again (yes it does not resume playing like it used to), it starts playing music over the bluetooth adapter -- Again, not what I want.
I have looked at the settings and I can't find anything to help me out here. I would like an option that lets me state what output to play iPod out of and what channel to interact the phone over. That way I could always have music from headphones and telephony via bluetooth.
I realize that stereo bluetooth is a cool new feature, but I would just like the option of it working like it did under OS 2.2.1.
Anyone have any suggestions? Can I easily revert to the old OS?
    Thanks,
    Blaylock

I'm having a similar issue - only iPhone is connected directly into my iPod-enabled car stereo (through a USB connection to back of stereo/standard iPhone connector cable into iPhone; installed by 3rd party vendor.)
If I'm listening to iPhone music through speakers (whether from a playlist/iPod selection, streaming Pandora, etc.) and turn on Jabra SP700 device, music is diverted to play through the Jabra speaker instead. This means I can only have the Jabra on when I know I'm going to make a call (I'll temporarily switch car stereo to radio, which doesn't conflict), but it also means I can't use it to intercept incoming calls without taking eyes off of the road, ugh.
I'm going to try to re-pair the devices later this afternoon - have already deleted my existing JabraSP700 profile on the iPhone - & will try re-pairing the devices later this afternoon. But are there other configuration changes I need to make to either the iPhone or the Jabra if that doesn't work?

  • Bluetooth Headset and Headphone audio out at same time?

My GF and I were on our way to NYC on Acela and decided to watch a movie to kill time. I inadvertenly forgot to bring my headphone splitter, so I figured I could plug in one set of earphones into the headphone jack and use my bluetooth wirelessely. Upon doing so, the Mac Pro brand new, would only let me select one output via sound preferences. Any ideas or works arounds to allow audio out to both headphone jack and wireless? Is it possible to attach 2 bluetooth sets for wireless capabilities to watch movies?

Yeah I do it. I use a Jabra bluetooth adaptor that uses the headphone port. Then I tuck the luetooth unit under my Marware Relay wristband.

  • Can i use bluetooth and standard headphones at the same time?

I would like to be able to use my bluetooth headset and have a line out of my iphone using the headphone output.  is this possible?  i seem to only be able to select one or another.

No, it's not possible... sound output is one or the other.

  • Roadtrip - Bluetooth speaker or headphones for kids

To help our two kids pass the time on multi-hour drives, we have been trying to play podcasts from the Ipad.   However, the ipad speakers are having issues overcoming the road noise.  What do you think would work better? 1) Purchasing headphone splitter and plugging in two headphones for them to use or 2) getting a bluetooth speaker?  If the latter, any recommendations - given main criteria would probably be loudness vs true audio fidelity?

head phone splitters work great, they're really cheap (around 1$/2$) and the sound in each headphone aren't too low either. better buy it and not be happy with it and buy bluetooth (which I think won't happen) than buying a bluetooth and seing a 1$ splitter would have worked great.

  • No.1 bluetooth headset or headphones for jogging

    Hey all, thanks for peeking!
    My criteria is....
Stereo BT headset or headphones (mic isn’t critical but slightly preferred) for no more than $151 USD (not inc. post), that’s sturdy enough for regular jogging.
It's for an iPod Touch 4G I'm about to buy.
    I’m trying to decide between…
    S10-HD
    BH-503
    BH-504
    BH-505
    Backbeat 903+*
These are a bit too pricey for me I think.
    MM 100 (headset)
    PX 210 BT (headphones)
Unless I can find somewhere that’s offering a bargain?
Any thoughts on which you’d pick & why, or perhaps you have other suggestions?
Not interested in adapters like the BH-214, want everything built into the headset/phone.
    Cheers/night

*doesn’t seem to be well distributed in Oz, so it may be knocked-off the list!

    I’m trying to decide between…
    -BH-504 $105 AUD
May be slightly better prices if I shop round a bit more, but this is close to the best.
    -MM 100 $208 AUD
Talking to a few local retailers, if I can convince any to drop it to $200 AUD w/free post then I may bite.
Any thoughts on which you’d pick & why? Not interested in different suggestions at this late stage.
Also not interested in adapters like the BH-214, want everything built into the headset/phone.
    Scratched:
    -S10-HD
Still not **ing available anywhere in Oz as far as I can see...
And most of M's supposed "official retailers" don't have any of their headsets, or only have very old models prior to the S9 etc.
    -PX 210 BT (headphones)
Too pricey & I need a headset "yesterday", so I'm not going to order overseas, even if I did I doubt I'd find it for $150USD anywhere.
    -BH-505
Pretty cool all up, unfortunately there's just too much chatter about them breaking with excessive exercise/sweat
    -Backbeat 903+
Not in Oz yet, poor distribution anyway. Many sources indicate that this (like the 505) is not terribly "ruggedised".
I don't expect the S10 to be notably better or worse in other areas, but it's likely to be more "ruggedized".
    -BH-503
Older tech than BH-504/505, uses BT 2.0 not BT 2.1 EDR, all reviews/commentary are notably older.
    Thanks again.

  • 10.6.8 update causes bluetooth to repeatedly "crash" while using headphones

I'm having severe problems with bluetooth "crashing" during headphone use, causing bluetooth to become "bluetooth not available".
This problem is very frustrating, causing me to stop using my Sony DR-BT101 headphones with my iMac. I've tried resetting the PRAM and the SMC, but the problem still persists. In fact, last night, after resetting the SMC for what seems to be the millionth time, my bluetooth became "unavailable" about 10 minutes into using my Sony headphones, or 15 minutes from the SMC reset. But It's not all bluetooth activity that causes this problem. I use my Magic Trackpad all day without any hiccups. It's only when I use the bluetooth headphones that bluetooth crashes.
But I use the term "crash" loosly, since I can't find any problems identified in the console, and the bluetooth diagnostic utility doesn't work when the bluetooth controller becomes unavailable. I'll be watching a movie with my Sony headphones when all of a sudden silence, followed by a "lost connection" message from the Magic Trackpad. I check the bluetooth icon in the menu bar, and it's "Bluetooth not available" all over again.
Does anyone have an insight as to some solution to this problem? I was hoping that the last update to 10.6.8 (HDMI) might've fixed the bluetooth problem, but no luck.
    Thanks.

Apple might fix the problem with SL; they did release the 10.6.8 Supplemental Update, which fixed an HDMI problem. So we might get a fix.
Don't know if this problem affects Lion. I haven't read much about it, since I'm not upgrading for another few months.

  • While listening to music in my car, I don't have the option to choose between bluetooth and headphones anymore. Why?

On IOS 6 and earlyer, I use to be able to choose between the bluetooth or the headphone jack. Now, I can only play music true my bluetooth and I can't pause the music. Anybody has a solution?

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
    - Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear.  (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
    - Relaunch the App and try again.
    - Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    - Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
    - Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
    - Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137  For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
    - Test the issue after each step.  If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

  • What is the best bluetooth headphone for a macbook? I really don't know much about either.

I am looking for a bluetooth portable wireless headphone set to use with my new macbook pro non retna. I want someing i can listen to movies, youtube, games(eve online) and other media.
I do not know much about wireless headphones and i know nothing about the Macbook, my first ever apple product.I perfer to get something low profile like the LG HBS-700. I do not neccesarily require a in ear style headset. I also perfer sound isulating over noise canceling.
I am willing to invest in a quality product. I do not know what is compatable with mac though so please help.
I am ordering the macbook this weekend and would like to be enjoying my music and movies right away.
    thank you for your help.

I have a  Motorola Bluetooth headset with microphone that I got from Amazon - here. Nothing fancy - definitely not audiophile quality - but small and portable and they hold a charge really well.
Take a look at them and see if they will fit your needs. Price is right.
