Bluetooth accessory: how can I use a BT accessory (earpiece/wristband) to get text message alerts?

My wife and I both have iPhone 4S phones, AT&T. She is often in loud/busy places, and misses the sound and vibration for an incoming text. We're looking for a Bluetooth accessory that reliably notifies the user of incoming text messages (either a tone in an earpiece, or a vibration on a wristband). I've seen many earpieces with complaints that SMS/text notifications are missed -- for example, the Jawbone Icon has user feedback saying this feature has problems.
Does anyone have experience and firsthand knowledge they can pass on about which BT devices do this well?

Hi Nara,
You were not able to find enough information for your BT device on ni.com because LV supports mainly the BT devices that are supported by Microsoft. It looks like that D-link DBT-120 is one device that does not have full support.
From what Fandoid said in the BlueTooth Discussion Forum it looks like if you install the MS Q323183 update and then install some BlueTooth Monitor.
I think the development kit he is refering to is located at http://www.blu2i.com/downloads/ (found from Google.com)
You can get the DBT-120 driver from D-Link DB-120 page
I am not very sure why this is happening but would definitely suggest referring to the above discussion forum post and try out the suggestions provided.

I have several hundred text files that contain a bunch of information. I only need six values from each file and ideally I need them as columns in an excel file.
How can I use Automator to extract specific Data from the text files and either create a new text file or excel file with the info? I have looked all over but can't find a solution. If anyone could please help I would be eternally grateful!!! If there is another, better solution than automator, please let me know!

Go to Settings>Messages and choose "No" under "Show Preview" which will hide the text part of the SMS/text message but still will pop up on who its from and just says "text message" on it.

if there are going to be a lot of dash characters you could read the string character by character, compare the value of the character with the range of values for a letter in ascii, and not copy it to a new string if it doesn't match. If the odd character out is only going to be a dash, you can search the string for the character, split the string at this point, append it to a string buffer and keep doing this till you're done. What is it you're trying to do and what is the exact message? Are you trying to download the installer from the web site? Or have you downloaded the application and cannot run it? If the latter, and the message you're getting is that the application is from an unidentified developer, control-click on the app and choose "open".
There is no "Snow Lion" by the way. 10.8.x is Mountain Lion.

Sorry no way to receive calls and SMS text message on both phones, you would need to have the same number.
You can have imessage go to both phones, by adding your apple id to imessage.
You can use photo stream to share pictures between both devices.

How can I use CS4 on 2 computers and not get locked out

I have CS4 on 1 computer and plan to install it on a 2nd computer. If I send work from computer 1 to computer 2, can I work on it on computer 2 and then return to computer 1 and work on it? In the past I have had trouble getting locked out when I have tried to work on the same webpage on 2 computers. I use IE 7 & 8, firefox, and HX pro. Note, I would not be working on the 2 computers at the same time.

WiFI and Bluetooth are automatically trurned off when enabling airplane mode - you have to turn them back on to use them.
WiFi and Blue tooth do NOT involve any carrier roaming charges. You may have to pay for lockal WiFi hotspot, but that has nothing to do with your carrier charges.

First of all: you are right: the Satellite C850-B906 supports Bluetooth

But the notebook was not preinstalled with an Windows system and therefore I guess you installed the Windows OS (which one?) at you own hand.
Probably you did not install the essential software / drivers which would allow you to use the BT
The Realtek WLan module supports BT and therefore you have to install the Bluetooth Filter Driver Package a well as the BT stack from Toshiba driver page.
After that you have to use the function key combination to enable the BT.
