Bluetooth and iPod library

Im having an issue with my iPod library going to my head unit in my truck. It will play the music through Bluetooth but will not send the library so I cannot browse using the head unit. It's a jvc avx740 and the manufacturer says that the unit is compatible with the phone and this should happen for me. I need some help if there's any to be had...My iPhone is a 4 with ios 5.0.1

Kilted - I can control the play and pause and previous and next functions through the head unit, the iPod library is not accessible through Bluetooth. If I want to change artists or playlists I need to get my phone out and do it there.
Rudegar - the head unit says that it supports avrcp 1.3 and that the iPhone should be able to do this. I have followed their suggested instructions without any success

I have an Acura TSX, which I did pair with an iPhone at the store with no problems. My question is, how does it work with the auxilary input? Will the car stereo play the iPod, if the iPhone is paired with the car? and will the audio stop when a call comes in as the radio or a CD does?

My Jawbone bluetooth headset works great with the phone side of the iPhone. Anyone know of a way to get it to work with the iPod side so you can listen to audiobooks through the bluetooth headset?

But hopefully enough of us will complain that they will correct it. I want to stream music through my car audio system the way I can a phone call. Where I live those FM transmitters won't work because the airwaves are too crowded.

You wouldn't connect the iPod to the iPad for data transfers. Music is stored and shared either through a computer or iCloud.

As it should have been transferred to your computer when you synced, you can contact itunes support and ask for an exception.

Can I Use My Music Library With itunes and ipod if it's Only Saved to an External Hard Drive?

I have very little space left on my internal hard drives. I have the same music library saved on an external drive. To get some space back, can I delete my music library from the internal drive C and just use the library on the external drive? Will it work in my itunes library and ipod? I want to download more music but I'm afraid to right now, because there is hardly any space left!

If your photos were on your internal drive then, yes, they are likely to have been backed up by Time Machine.
However, if Time Machine starts running out of space, it will delete old back ups and thus your photos aren't really 'safe' just on a Time Machine back up. What you really need to do is either:
Buy another external hard drive for storing your photos and other files, or;
Back up your photos to DVD's: there are a number of cataloging apps that you can use to catalog your files or, if you have named them something specific, use something like DiskTracker.
Either way, don't rely on your Time Machine back-up to store your photos.

Sync all the devices to the same computer.
If you do not want her apps, then simply do not select them to sync to your device.
Each device will only sync what you select to sync.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. It looks as though i would be in situation where i have both accounts on the same computer but need a seperate ipod for each but i cant afford to but another ipod so i am letting things be as they are. I have a similar problem. I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted. I still have them on my old ipod, and wonder how to get them back onto my computer so I can redistribute some of them to the ipad. I must be getting too old for this tech stuff, it gets less user friendly every year.
