Bluetooth audio on iOS 8.1.2

My Bluetooth audio suddenly fell silent. I'm on an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.2. Device registers the pairing. Audio for my iPhone suddenly suddenly stopped playing through Bluetooth. Happened while I was switching between some audio playing apps: iReal Pro and Apple Music player.

Hi What type of devices are you trying to connect? Cheers Brian

  • Bluetooth audio on iOS 6

Why can't my car head unit connect properly to my phone since I updated to iOS 6
I used to be able to control my music from head completely , now nothing since the update

I had the issue with the power button with my iphone 5 and was given a refurbisth iPhone. I had no isues with my previous iphone 5. Now, I have the same issue as everyone else has had and I know it is not the Hyundai since I took my iPad Air out to the car today and drove with the iPad playing and no cutouts.
It is the same version of thje IOS with no new s/w.
    This is more than frustrating.

  • Iphone 6 on iOS 8.1 bluetooth audio no playlists

    I just update my iphone 6 to 8.1   (8.02 to 8.1)
What is fixed: bluetooth connection to my VW carkit for phone. I can make calls again, see contacts ect.
    What is not fixed:
Bluetooth audio with my Volkswagen Golf 2014, audio works but no selection available: no tracks, albums or artist etc showing. Does not sync any content view with car(kit). This used to work fine on my iphone 5 on iOS 7.(any 7.xx versions)
    What to do?

Update:  It actually hooks fine.  However, I cannot call out, but people can call in.

    Hi ..
    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • Iphone 4S bluetooth audio not working in car after however bluetooth for calls is 2011 nissan maxima

I recently upgraded from an iphone 3gs to an Iphone 4S IOs 5 i deleted the bluetooth profile from my car and paired the iphone 4s ........bluetooth calls recieving and making is no problem...however after i changed my phones the bluetooth audio feature is not working at all in my car which is an 2011 Nissan Maxima.....I check with my friends Ford Focus and it works perfectly .........I don't expect an update from Nissan.....So i hope on the next iteration of the Ios5 firmware this can be addressed..

The bluetooth streaming seems to pause regularly - called Nissan - they don't have any info on it.

  • Bluetooth streaming issues iOS 8.1.2

I have been seeing issues with Bluetooth audio streaming on my iPhone 5c, when connected to Harman/Kardon Soundsticks III BT.
Initially I thought it was an issue with the speakers, but changed my mind when my friend's Nexus 4 was able to stream audio properly.
I do not face any issues with pairing or connection. But the audio playback will stop suddenly, even though I can see the progress bar and timer on my iPhone.
And sometimes, I hear a continuous buzzing sound from the speakers, after audio playback stopped.
Today I also saw issues with connecting to my Nokia BH-104 headset. I can see Bluetooth got connected, but music simply does not stream to the headset. When I try playing, music is played over phone speakers, not the headset. I tried using the headset with my Lenovo laptop, and its working fine.
Tried resetting phone, even restored as new when i upgraded to iOS 8.1.2, but nothing has yet worked for me.
    Anyone facing similar issues?

  • MacBook Pro & bluetooth audio - why so buggy?

    Hi!
I do, from time to time, try to hook up my Early 2011 13" MacBook Pro (running 10.6.8) with my Logitech wireless bluetooth speaker adapter. Sometimes it works - most of the time it doesn't.
It either won't connect at all - or the sound get's all chopped up (like if you try to watch a youtube HD clip on a 28,8 kbps dial-up).
So, whenever I want to enjoy Spotify through my loudspeakers, I have to use my iPhone, which works without a flaw, but I must say, it had been more convenient for me using my laptop instead.
I've seen similar problems concerning MacBook Pro and bluetooth audio on these forums, none of which there seems to be a solution to. And by looking at threads addressing this problem with laptops running Lion, I don't think upgrading the OS will solve the problem either.
Why this HUGE differences between Macbook Pro and Iphone bluetooth performance? What is causing this problem? Is it the bluetooth drivers? If so, is there some way to fix them? Like, downloading alternate drivers or modifying a string in a kext - something?
....Or am I forced to buy a separate bluetooth adapter for my macbook?

Unfortunately the problem is both software and hardware related. The software side of things can be semi-resolved by following the instructions at this blog:
    http://mariusvw.com/2011/06/16/how-to-fix-the-crackling-bad-sound-of-bluetooth-a 2dp-headsets-or-speakers-on-mac-os-x/
And the hardware issue is just downright weird, this document from intel explains that USB 3.0 cables and internal connectors emit radio interferance on the same 2.4Ghtz frequency as bluetooth, thus the range and signal strength of bluetooth is significantly decreaced in macs. This explains why iOS devices have exellent connections up to 33 feet but macs cut out just a few meters away.

Not looking good for mac users I'm afraid.

  • Bluetooth audio problem and 2011 Mazda 3

There is a great deal of conflicting information in regards to bluetooth audio compatibility and various cars (2011 Mazda 3 in my case) and the iphone 4... So I'm trying to get a straight answer!
Anyway my car (according to Mazda) supports AVRCP 1.3, however when pairing to my Verizon iPhone (4.2.6), the car reports BT Audio (which denotes that the device has less than AVRCP 1.3 support).
So question 1... Does the iphone support AVRCP 1.3 in its entirety or is it some limited incarnation of it or simply just A2DP?
Question 2... The options that I have with BT Audio allow me to skip the track, but won't allow me to pause/stop (I hit the pause/stop and the audio stops for split second and then restarts) So what's the story here?
Question 3... What am I supposed to expect from the iphone 4 in terms of bluetooth support? i.e.
Plays blue tooth audio? (Yes it does that quite well in my car)
Allows Skip, Pause functions from car controls? (It skips track, but NOT Pause)
Shows current playing track? (Ok I'd assume that the most advanced smart phone on the planet would support this simple function, but I don't believe it does and if it doesn't...why not?)
    Answers anyone?

Yes, the iPhone does support AVRCP. The Supported Bluetooth profiles article says that it supports "pause, play, stop, next track and previous track for AVRCP."
When you look at Wikipedia, the AVRCP profile goes up to 1.4. It looks like the iPhone supports the 1.0 profile.

Thats all that AVRCP 1.0 supports.

The first article that I linked provides details about what bluetooth profiles are supported by the iPhone and what you can expect it to do.
To get the most functionality, you'll want to keep your car stereo and your iPhone updated. Previous iOS updates have included support for more bluetooth profiles.

  • My iPhone cannot find my bluetooth audio system

My iPhone 4s with iOS 6.1.1 can connect my bluetooth headset successfully.
But I want to connect to my JVC ux-gn9v bluetooth audio system, it failed!
I turn on the bluetooth and get stuck in finding bluetooth devices.
There is no ux-gn9v show on the bluetooth list.
But htc phone can connect to JVC ux-gn9v successfully.
BTW, I had tried to restart my iPhone many times, it not working also.
How to connect my JVC ux-gn9v? any suggection?
    Please advice!
    Thanks!

Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed.
Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
Make sure your printer has power and is turned on. Try turning your printer off and then back on again to see if it resolves your issue.
Check to see if your printer has any error lights or indicators displayed on the printer's control panel. Check the documentation that came with your printer to clear any errors displayed.
Check with your printer's manufacturer to see if any firmware updates are available for your printer. Check your printer's documentation or contact the printer vendor for more information. A firmware update may be available, even if you just bought your printer.

  • Bluetooth audio pairing

My iPhone 4 pairs automatically with my car for the phone function but when I tried to use the car's bluetooth audio capability and the iPhone's iPod function the car system will ask me to register the iPod, which I can't do because I haven't a clue on how to proceed. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if it was the update to the new iOS, but here is how I got the audio portion of the Bluetooth working again.
    1. Go to Settings > General > Bluetooth
    2. Click blue arrow next to "your device"
    3. Choose "Forget this Device"
    4. Press "Home" button once to return to the home screen
    5. Double-click "Home" button to enter multi-tasking
    6. Press and hold one of the icons to enter "wiggle" mode and close all open applications
    7. Click the "Home" button to exit multi-tasking
    8. Press and hold both the "Home" button and "Sleep/Wake" button until the Apple logo appears (this is a hard reboot)
    9. After rebooting repair your Bluetooth device.

  • Firefox plugin breaks after Bluetooth audio switching

Tracked down a bug to the FF flash plugin: On XP sp2 using FF
2.0.0.12 and Flash 9.0.47.0 (rolled back from the 9.0.115.0
disaster) after starting then stopping a Bluetooth audio session
(a2dp), Flash no longer plays audio/video. All the usual sites stop
working (youtube, cnn video, imeem, etc) I can get it to start
working again only by restarting Firefox.
Background info: when using Bluetooth headphones, XP's audio
output is routed to the Bluetooth receiver (in my case, by a
Broadcomm bluetooth stack) After ending the session, the audio is
routed back (eg to the desktop speakers). Flash handles being
routed to the receiver, but not being routed back.
I know it's not FF itself, b/c other FF multimedia plugins
handle the transitions fine (eg. quicktime). I know it's specific
to the FF version, b/c on IE, the flash plugin works fine after
    Bluetooth switches.
Anyone have any similar problems? Restarting FF doesn't sound
like a problem, but with many tabs open, it takes forever.
I'll try sending this in to Adobe, but after seeing their
(non)response to the buggy as fcuk 9.0.115.0 player, I doubt they
even test their FF version, let alone follow up on bug
    reports.

    *bump. Any ideas anyone?

  • Bluetooth issue in ios 7.1

I am facing the Bluetooth issue in ios 7.1 iphone. In ios 7.0 it works fine without any problem.I am using the EA framework for reading/writing the data in my application.Still I have not got any correct solution for this scenario. I am having a doubt that this issue is happening as because of EA framework which I am using it or do i need to change any settings.Could someone tell me the solution for this problem?

1.I am using an external Bluetooth kit by which I will send the command through my iphone application.I will communicate with the external Kit through a command that writes and reads the data using External Accessory framework. In lower version except IOS 7.1 i was able to communicate properly without any issues. In EA framework implementing a delegate method I could able to write/read a data.
    2) Right now I am facing an issue only in ios 7.1 where I was not able to read any data from the external Bluetooth Kit.I have researched regarding this issue in all the sites I got to know some information that because of EA framework issue in ios 7.1 where I am able to communicate. But still I have a confusion that its happening because of EA framework or any other ios issues.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with bluetooth audio receiver?

My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver.  It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair.  I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range.  Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver.  Any ideas?

Thank you!  We got the bluetooth receiver to use with our car stereo and our motorcycle stereo and were very frustrated when it quit working.  Thank you for helping me solve the problem!
