Bluetooth audio receiver (Belkin) causes macbook built-in audio crash

Hello. Sometime I use an Bluetooth audio receiver (some Belkin one) to transmit audio to the sound system of my house. When the macbook dont found that device, then a pop-up come sayin: "We didn't find your bluethoot audio" and there's only one option to choose and that is "Stop using bluetooth audio receiver". Then, the built-in audio of the macbook disappears since I dont know. I cant hear anything, but when you on the computer, the first sound comes out so, its not a hardware problem.... Someone can help me?
Thank you all.

I have to day more things about this issue. The problems started after I installed a NATIVE INSTRUMENTS plug-in called DRIVER. I haver searched every trace of it and erased from my HD.
Another thing regarding the issue is that when I try to open the midi configuration of the mac it suddenly crashes.
Any ideas before I take my laptop to the apple store?
THANKS. Have a wonderful 2012!!

  • Macbook Air 11" audio/video lockup glitch, Macbook Air 11" audio/video lockup glitch

    Hi all,
I have an older Macbook Air 11" (with 4gigs ram/128gb HD). Running Mountain Lion.
Recently, every once in a while (about once every couple of months) I get this fatal lockup. It gives a loud ticking noise (not fan related) along with screen glitches. The ONLY way to stop it is to do a hard restart. Then it works fine. I think it started happening about 8 months ago. Last time it happened, I recorded it with my iPhone.
Any thoughts on what it could be?

That definitely looks like a hardware issue. you may want to find the nearest AASP or Apple Store and pursue repair options...

  • IMessages + Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver

I would LOVE to work iMessages with the Belkin Bluetooth HD audio receiver as an output. I can set it in the System Preferences > Sound as a main output, it works nice. However, I am unable to set the Bluetooth output in iMessages. Why?

    Hi,
    iChat 5 pic
I am not booted into Mountain Lion or Mavericks at the moment to be able to compare but I am sure that Mountain Lion (Messages 7) and Mavericks (Messages 8) do not have this extra Bluetooth option.
As I said it did require that it was set up "first" in System Preferences.
I see you have SoundFlower (that has been an issue in the past for iChat Audio).
Any chance your can use that to select the device ?
The other thing to note that the iChat setting is for a Headset  and not just an optional Output device.
It was set in Input as well as Output in System Preferences (and in iChat once it was set up).
I am not sure why it does not show up though.

  • Unable to use built-in audio on macbook

When I had a G5 with Leopard I had a similar issue, and after some googling I discovered that it can be fixed by simply resetting the PRAM. Sadly, that has not worked in this case.
Here's what's happening: I am unable to use the speakers on my macbook for audio output. Headphones work, and when I went to the audio output settings the only option available is "Digital Out." When I connect and disconnect headphones I noticed that it flashes to "Built-in Audio" for a fraction of a second before deciding for whatever reason to go to "Digital Out."
I have some idea what might be causing this; recently I installed a free version of ProTools that came with my roommate's M-Audio firewire box. It turned out the software was complete crap, and it made it impossible for me to shut down my computer without a hard restart. Annoyed by this, I uninstalled it using the program it came with, which fixed the restarting problem, but seems to have taken my ability to use my speakers (perhaps out of spite?).
I hope someone has an idea of how to fix this! It's driving me insane.

I've never used the iSight in VMware, but I think I know the solution: you need to install the BootCamp drivers. You can do this by inserting your Mac OS X installation DVD and loading it within your virtual machine. The DVD should give you the option of installing the Boot Camp drivers. Once it's done you'll probably need to restart the virtual machine, and then you're set. (Note: this is how it was with the OSX 10.5 DVD; I haven't done it with 10.6, but I assume it'd be the same.)
Why is this necessary? VMware is able to connect your hardware devices to the virtual machine, but they're not responsible for the hardware itself. Without the proper drivers, Windows doesn't know what to do with it. Luckily, Apple provides those drivers in the form of the Boot Camp drivers, and those will function even if Windows is running only as a virtual machine.
While I have not tested the iSight, I can verify that after installing the Boot Camp drivers, Windows is able to utilize Bluetooth properly if you connect it directly to the virtual machine.
    Hope it helps.

  • MacBook Pro (2007) Audio stops when Bluetooth enabled

All audio stops playing when Bluetooth is toggled to 'On' and 'Discoverable'.  No receiving devices are on.  iTunes music pauses, and if playing Pandora through Chrome, Pandora stops functioning, and must be restarted.  When receiving devices are turned on, and Bluetooth is toggled 'On', the MacBook does not pair.  Any thoughts would be helpful.  Thanks!

    you are welcome

  • Bluetooth GPS Receiver + MacBook. Any software?

I just purchased a BT2 Bluetooth GPS Receiver. Is there a software for Mac OS X that I could use to receive live tracking on my MacBook, instead of a PDA?

I am also interested in setting up the Macbook with a bluetooth GPS receiver for use in the car or when sailing.
So far I have searched around but haven't found any software with offline maps included.
The best solution (and cheapest) so far I have found is to use Google Earth and increase its cache size. Then I guess you can run the route beforehand so the roads and images are stored offline ready for use.
Is there a standalone package with roadmaps (for the UK/Europe) built in for offline use?
This must also be able to connect to a the bluetooth GPS receiver. Has anyone got any recommendations for these too?
    Thanks,
    Neil

  • Staying connected to Bluetooth (Belkin Bluetooth music receiver)

I play my iPad's music over my kitchen speakers by sending the iPad's audio to a Belkin bluetooth music receiver, which is connected to the speakers.
It all works well as long as the iPad stays within the Belkin's Bluetooth zone. The iPad can turn off, go to sleep etc. and when it wakes it is auto-connected to the Belkin BT receiver.
However, as soon as I carry the iPad outside of the Belkin's BT zone, the connection is lost. When i return to the BT zone, the iPad and the Belkin receiver do not re-connect. To reestablish a connection, I need to go back into Settings/General/Bluetooth and click on the listed device (which is labelled as "Not connected"). That reconnects the iPad and Belkin receiver, and all is well until the next time I carry the iPad out of the Belkin's range.
Any thoughts on how I can make this auto-connect when I return to the Belkin BT zone?
    Thanks in advance. Neil

I have the same problem. Apparenly the Belkin BT music receiver doesn't support auto connect. Which is a massive shame.

  • Macbook Air Mid 2013 No Built-In Audio

    Hey everyone,
I have an issue with my friends Macbook Air (Mid 2013 Model). After listening to some music through his speakers, he unplugged his Aux cable and then plugged them back in to find that he didnt have built in output or input anymore. I have tried all of the following to fix it:
    Reinstall OS X 10.8
Run all of the Automation tools found in the application Onyx
Reinstall certain .kext files (AppleHDA and AudioAUUC)
    Repair permissions
Re-seat the speakers in the device itself
    Reset coreaudio
    Resetting SMC, PRAM, and NVRAM
    Clear and re-build kernal cache
    Cleaned the headphone jack
    Plugged in an audio interface
    Reloaded from Time Machine Backup
    etc...
I've literally tried almost everything in the book. The only other thing i can think of is installing a copy of Mavericks when it comes out (In October i believe). There is no boot up chime, and after running the OS in verbose mode, i can see that AudioAUUC.kext is not being loaded. Built in audio does not appear is system profiler. What can i do to fix this problem? Could it really be a hardware issue? If so, what can i do to fix it?

    Test after each step.
    1. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
        Audio Devices window
        Side Bar
        Click the Built-in Output.
Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.
Option click the speaker icon, if present and select Internal Speakers.
    2.  Plug in the head phone and reset SMC.

  • Trying to connect a Belkin brand audio cable from my MacBook Pro to a Sony flatscreen TV. Cannot get any sound from the laptop out of the TV. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to connect a Belkin brand stereo audio cable from my MacBook Pro to a Sony flatscreen TV (Apple "genius" handed me the cable to purchase.)  I have tried all the ports in the back of the Sony, and tried the volume on both the cable and TV remotes. I cannot get sound out of the Sony from my MacBook Pro laptop. What am I doing wrong???

Downloaded your operating manual.  It appears that you need to connect the HDMI to HDMI 1 and the audio to the input socket just to the right of the VGA socket (i.e., between the VGA and the RF input connection).  The picture on page13 seems to be the clearest I could find:
Although it's not exactly clear I think they are talking about a standard 3.5 mm (1/8") stereo jack for the audio inpu as opposed to the more common RCA jacks used in the row just above that VGA input socket.
I haven't checked the manual as yet whether you need to set anything special with the controls other than input select.
Note, if that truly is a 3.5 mm stereo jack cables are very common.  In your case it would just be a cable with a 3.5 mm jack on each end.
    Update:
You will have to experiment with this but I think you will need to try pusing the input button to select either HDMI1 or PC (or Component?).  The manual is not clear on this (page 31).  Sometimes it just comes down to pushing buttons.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with bluetooth audio receiver?

My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver.  It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair.  I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range.  Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver.  Any ideas?

Thank you!  We got the bluetooth receiver to use with our car stereo and our motorcycle stereo and were very frustrated when it quit working.  Thank you for helping me solve the problem!

  • Built in Audio not working in MacBook Pro after update to 10.7.3

The Built In Audio is not working in My MacBook Pro (Early 2011) after update to 10.7.3; I tried resetting the PRAM and SMC but it didn't helped me out. I can get audio only if i reboot my mac from Safe Mode or reboot after Repairing Disk Permissions in disk utility using the Recovery Partition;. If i make a normal restart or just startup then the built in audio disappers (audio is displayed gray in the menu bar) . Everything was working well with the 10.7.2
    - Audio Works well with the Boot Camp Partition. and There is a sound during boot up.

I dont have any backups and i dont have time capsule or  an external hard drive ready to be used for backup.
My macbook is my the only one computer. The problem is that the animation is lagging when i change the window to dashboard or safari or mail or another window. Inspite of this my macbook works well.
But 5 minutes ago, I noticed that if i run autocad on my mac- the lags go away!!!!

  • Ho to disable (Built in) Audio card in MacBook Pro?

Ho to disable (Built in) Audio card in MacBook Pro?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
The only thing that I might suggest is to plug a lone Toslink miniplug adapter into the audio port. This activates the digital audio. The digital audio shuts off within a few seconds if there is no audio signal being routed through the port.

  • Utility to switch between Bluetooth headset and built-in audio input/output

I'm looking for a utility that will switch the Sound preference settings between my Mac's built-in audio input/output device and my Bluetooth headset for use with applications such as Skype.
The way I envision it working is that I would click an icon at the top of the screen and it would toggle the Sound preferences settings from
Output = Line Out (or Digital Out)
Input = Line In (or Digital In)
    to
    Output = (my Bluetooth headset)
    Input = (my Bluetooth headset)
    or vice-versa.
That's it. It doesn't need to automatically detect my headset as I might be using the headset on another device. Just a button that would toggle between the built-in and Bluetooth device settings.
Has anyone seen anything like this?

    Thanks, it works great.
It would be even better if one could define device groups. e.g. Headset, built-in devices, etc. I'll drop a note to the developer.
