Bluetooth Audio sound cuts every few seconds
Hi,
The title pretty much expains all. Everything else works with my BT headset. Pairing is okay and I can hear the sound from headset but ithe audio cuts on and off every few seconds. So the bluetooth audio is useless.
I have upgraded several times the driver. I even changed the BT adapter (the HW), but still same.
Laptop is Elitebook 2350p
OS is Win 7

However, my own personal opinion is there might be an issue with the headset, not the hardware/software on the notebook. You mentioned even changing the bluetooth hardware and the issue remained, which leads me to believe it might have to do with the headset and Windows 7. Have you tried another headset on this notebook to see if the issue was the same?

Thanks!Highlight the audio layer. Don't use mp3 audio. Do an audio preview with the decimal point key on the numeric keypad. Don't use mp3 audio. Hit the asterisk key on the numeric keypad where you want a marker. Don't use mp3 audio. Change the duration of audio previewing in AE preferences if necessary. Don't use mp3 audio.
You'll want to listen very closely several times to figure out where in the music you want those markers to go BEFORE you do it for real. It can be a real pain to slide a boatload of layer markers off the layer if you make massive mistakes. -

We can hear audio, but video blacks out every few seconds; picture comes back when we hit the tv's volume button. Everything seems to be plugged in well. The picture even starts out being sort of dim. And it goes through phases of working fine but then will randomly start blacking out again. Any ideas?

Audio drops every few seconds?
I have a sisco box, and tonight its starting to drop the audio every few seconds. Kind of like its a skip.
I reset the box and all that and its still doing it, does this mean I need a new box?This is rarely an issue with the box. Its either an issue with the channel, the signal leading to the box, or the signal between the box and his TV. Is this still happening? If so, is it happening on other channels as well? Please let us know so we can assist further.

Weird clicking sound every few seconds.
When i open the powerbook from being asleep, it starts up and everything is fine... every few seconds i hear a weird click sound, i'm guessing its the HD, and somthing is wrong with the moving parts. I have not dropped or damaged the powerbook in anyway. I first heard the noise when opening the top after being away few for an hour.
Has anyone else had a problem like this?With hard drives it's not a matter of if it will fail, it's when. Since they are made of moving parts generally when you begin to hear clicking noises, it's a sign to backup your stuff and then worry about running some diagnostics. If you have applecare you should run techtool and it should tell you with a small margin or error if it's good. Now just because it says that the drive is still good can also not mean that it isn't in the process of going bad. So, keep a good backup of all your stuff on an external drive. I use superduper to do a full backup of my system once a week on a external firewire drive that's bootable if i need it. It will do a "smart update" of your data when you backup after the first time saving you a lot of time.
If you don't have applecare, try and find a friend that does or take your computer to your local apple authorized service center. They will have access to the gsx (global service exchange) website which has specific diagnostic bootable cd's for each model of computer. They should be able to tell you if it's bad or not. If you find a friend that has applecare, just use his techtool cd. Just Boot from the cd and run the diagnostics, don't install the app on your mac as that would be illegal.

Movies played in DivX player audio glitching every few seconds?
I have an MBP & I've noticed that everytime I watch a video/movie w/ DivX Player the movie will glitch every few seconds. DivX Player is my preferred program to watch movies/videos, so I haven't checked to see if it's also doing it w/ Quicktime etc.
Any ideas?If this were happening to me, I would try to narrow down the source of the problem by seeing if the problem persists by (1) logging in as a different user (e.g., Guest) and (2) starting up in Safe Mode. (1) Helps identify problems specific to your account, e.g., login items, preference files, etc., (2) helps identify third-party system-level conflicts.
If you can get to it, you might try trashing Finder preferences at ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. You could do this with Terminal. Also, try dumping Sophos. -
MacBook Pro freezes every few seconds
Hi All,
My two year old MacBook Pro started freezing randomly one day. It happens with any application that I have open (Safari, Word, Finder), I get the beach ball every few seconds for any operation I try doing. When the cursor comes back I have seen spikes of CPU usage and the relevant program also shows as 'Not Responding'.
I have tried everything, PRAM/SMC resetting, hardware test, disk repair etc. The latest being a clean install of Mavercks. It was fine for a few hours until it started freezing again like before. I made sure not to install much and didn't even copy my backup over yet. Here is my EtreCheck output, can someone please HELP!!

My macbook pro freezes every few seconds
Hi everyone!
About a week ago my MBP started freezing every few seconds showing the well known spinning beach balls every time, even when running no apps, I've sepnt plenty of time looking for a solution, I've read this problem might be due to a physically damaged hard drive, bt I've tested it several times using different apps and it shows no error, I've read from another discussion about Etrecheck as a useful app to quickly gather certain system information that may help point to a cause of this problem, so I hope some of you guys can help me checking the log output. Video Frozen audio works for a few seconds
Hello all heres my problem.
Video frozen on frame navigated too with the track bar.
Audio works for a few seconds after the track bar is used then stops.
Timer on the side dosen't incriment only changes when the track bar is used.
Every time the video is paused and then played again the audio starts from the
same place and stops in the same place again
All videos are downloaded from itunes.
Works fine in Quicktime.
VGA Card: GTX 480 - drivers up to date
Processor: AMD Phenom II - Quadcore
Itunes Version: 10.7.0.21
The whole thing strikes me as a failure of the video to increment the current frame and not a result of the failure in the video prossessing
the short amount of audio is proably just buffered ahead of the video for syncing reasons.
I have no real idea though but it is my best guess.

Ok this does seem to say that the ports are set up and iChat is connecting properly.
iChat also thinks there is enough bandwidth at the start and makes the connection.
Is this to a PC ? Video freezes have been seen here when connecting to faster PCs.
What you describe though sounds more like a PC that has not "Tuned" their cammera or Mic to the AIM Application.

Imovie choppy when importing a vhs tape, stops importing every few seconds
Hi, I'm importing a bunch of homemovies into imovie for a christmas present for my parents and I've run into a few problems. I've successfully done several vhs tapes using my powerbook, a new sony vcr and a dac-100, but for some reason I am having trouble with this tape. It imported fine for about 40 minutes and then it started showing static. Every few seconds static would fill the screen and imovie would stop importing and cut that part out completely, including audio. When I watched the tape on TV it had the same static but you could still hear all of the audio. Anyway, since the static is probably a problem with the tape, I just want to figure out if there's a way that i could get imovie to import straight through the static so you can at least hear the audio smoothly?
If that's not explained very well let me know, or I can provide more detail. I'm new at this, so if anyone can help me I would really really appreciate it. Thanks!

You probably won't be able to seperate the static from the audio but you can try. Import the video and then select Advanced / Extract Audio. Then delete the video and see if the static noise remains.
Like I said it is probably a long shot.
SoundSoap is a program that helps reduce some background noises but i don't know if it will help here.

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me!
Whenever I use the speakers (particularly for iTunes, music and youtube) they crackle every few seconds. The audio can't seem to keep up with the video. I've tried to adjust the speaker settings and download an updated driver (the driver doesn't want to download and has frozen part way through half a dozen times). I'm not sure what else to try but I got this particular netbook because of the reviews of the speakers and it's capacity. I think the problem is probably user related!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am using the operating system that was on the computer when I got it. It is 32 bit windows 7 starter
I have tried headphones and there is the same problem with the speakers
I have tried a number of times to update the driver, I was finally able to download it but was told that there was an error and it wouldn't run.
The internet speed is the fastest I can get and I don't have the same problem with my PC or larger laptop, with either the video/audio or the speakers. The iTunes files are all downloaded and not streamed so the internet speed shouldn't affect the playback.
I'll try to download the driver again and look into updating the codecs and let you all know!

2.2.1 update and now error message every few seconds
Did the update this morning. All went fine. I have never used airplane mode. So phone was not in it.
Now all I get every few seconds on the phone, even while in sleep mode, and it wakes the screen is message:
This accessory is not made to work with iphone. Would I like to turn on Airplane mode to eliminate audio interference etc… Yes/No
If I do nothing the message goes away and the iphone goes back to sleep.
I tried selecting yes. It put phone into airplane mode. But message stills comes up. Same thing when I selected No.
This error comes up every 30 seconds or so. I have tried hard restarting the iPhone hold down Home and top button until iPhone shuts down. This didn't do anything.
Anyone else having this problem?This is very weird. You can always restore the phone again in iTunes. If you have proper backups (pics, contacts, music, apps), after restoring, set it up as a new phone so there is no potentially corrupted backup getting on there. See if that works. If not, take it to the Apple Store and have them look at it.

Playback Freezes Briefly Every Few Seconds? The Solution!
This may be of help to anyone who experiences jerky playback.
I exported a video to quicktime and when played back it froze briefly every few seconds as though it were dropping frames.
When I viewed the video in the Canvas it was also behaving the same, although it has been perfect for the past couple of weeks.
To cut a long story short, I remembered that a month or so ago I had problems with the Genie effect minimising windows jerkily.
At that time, I discovered that you can cure it by logging out and then back in. I believe it is something to do with refreshing the desktop/finder.
Anyway it cured my jerky playback a well, this morning!
As to why my desktop/finder needs the occasional "refresh", it could be connected with the 3 dozen or more separate items I usually have on my desktop plus the 50 items in the dock!Thanks for that suggestion Sasha, though this is the first time I have ever had that type of jerky playback, so I am hoping it won't occur again for a very long time.
I actually deleted the QT video thinking it was defective until I went back and watched the video in the Canvas plus several other old QT videos which all behaved the same way!
The avatar is to reflect that I am now using Shake . . . . . well, at least floundering on the first chapter of the APTS book . . . . so it may well be changed again in the near future!
