Bluetooth bleep

Newly updated to 10.4.1.B.0.109. Not rooted. Even ran a repair with a full reset after the update. I'm having a **bleep** of a time using bluetooth and wifi at the same time. Anyone else experiencing issues? All I'm trying to do is use a BT keyboard while my SGP312 is connected to wifi. I have to reboot with wifi/bt off. I turn bt on and connect the keyboard, then fire up wifi. If I'm lucky it'll hold. There's a very good chance that it will NOT work after the tablet wakes up from sleep though. I have to reboot again. I use this for work quite frequently and is a SERIOUS PITA.

I'm having Bluetooth issues as well. Bought a bundle, XZ tablet and bt keyboard and its a joke!
Have tried apps to keep the bt up but no luck. Had the tablet replaced under warranty, the new one was good for about an hour and now its rubbish. It's driving me nuts!!

Wifi/Bluetooth hardware cards for HP G6-2016TX

I have a HP G6-2016TX purchased in India last year,
It has a Ralink Wifi and Bluetooth card RT5390
The problem since I have upgraded to WIndows 8 is that Bluetooth is not working (nor is it working on Ubuntu 13.04)
After browsing thru many forums i have concluded to change the laptop's bluetooth **bleep** wifi card (as it is combo card)
The driver page lists drivers for Intel, Qualcom Arethos, Broadcom chipsets so i guess there must be a card of some other company (other than Ralink) which will work with my laptop model (HP G6-2016TX Indian version)
CAn anyone tell me which cardss are compatible with my model of laptop

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 3, page 17 lists the supported wireless cards with HP part numbers.

I would imagine the Broadcom or Intel 2230 combo cards would work in your model and the BT would work with W8.
I would steer away from the Atheros card because of the "Select Models Only" note.
The only cards that will work must have the HP part numbers on them.
Just don't go out and buy any old Intel 2230 card, for example.

Forgive my language but getting to talk to the Safaricom customer service is a real pain in the **bleep** - if you ever get to talk to them, that is.
I've never got an answer to my phone calls in three years and their customer assistans in the shops usually have no clue about whatever it is you're asking them.
I talked to a few of them in a couple of different Safaricom shops and they didn't know what I was talking about.
Still, I believe Safaricom is not the problem as other people I know who have a BlackBerry on Safaricom haven't experienced this problem.

Bluetooth connectivity in Windows Vista

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit on a custom built PC I assembled last year. For Bluetooth connectivity with the PC I am using a Bluetooth dongle (adapter) from Billionton Systems Inc. Here is what it says on the label.

It is sold in the Clas Ohlson stores, that's why their name is seen on the label, and the 32-8866 is their order number, while the other order number is the manufacturers order number.
I did get the CD with drivers for it and all that, but the software included on that CD seems to be very outdated. I think it includes the Toshiba Bluetooth stack (I think it was labeled differently thou). The included software does work on Windows Vista, but only barely, because it seems to be adopted primarily for Windows 2000 or XP. I remember that it was really difficult to step through the installation guide. The installation guide did show up, and I think that even the Autorun function worked fine so that it would show up automatically upon inserting the CD. But it was pracitcally impossible to step through the installation because the buttons and dials were displaced and f***ed up so you wouldn't be able to see or to click on them. However, if you did manage to step through the installation process you were set and ready to use the new device.
It was a long time ago I installed this, so I'm not sure if this worked perfectly. But there must have been a good reason why I stopped using it, and instead started using the built-in Bluetooth stack from Microsoft. After installing Windows Vista now, I just plug the Billionton Bluetooth dongle right into the USB port. Vista finds it and installs the following devices for it.
Generic Bluetooth Radio
Bluetooth-enhet (RFCOOMM-protokoll-TDI)
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator
Bluetooth-enhet (Personal Area Network)
Standardmodem över Bluetooth-länk

As you can see my Vista installtion is using Swedish interface language. In the above list "enhet" means device, "protokoll" means protocol, "över" and "länk" means over and link respectively as in "standard modem over Bluetooth-link".
The only thing that is not installed is something called "Bluetooth Peripheral Device". This should be the last thing to install but I only get the message "Windows måste installera drivrutiner för Bluetooth Peripheral Device" which is probably equal to "Windows must install drivers for Bluetooth Peripheral Device" on English interface.
Even thou the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" is not installed, I am still able to use this Bluetooth dongle to connect with my Nokia N73 and it seems to work flawlessly. But now I am getting the "Ny maskinvara har hittats" (New hardware found, or similar) dialog every time I log on to Windows Vista. I usually chose to abort it It but it shows four times so I have to abort it four times. In the Device Manager there are four listings of "Bluetooth Peripheral Device".
Why is that? How is it possible that the Bluetooth dongle still works even thou the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" is not installed? What is "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" and do I need it?
I did try to contact Billiongon Systems for some support on either how to install the shi*** Toshiba Bluetooth stack properly on Windows Vista or to ask for a newer version, or instructions on how to install the Bluetooth dongle without using the included software but using the Microsoft Bluetooth stack built-in to Windows. I sent e-mail to them two or three times but about a year ago when I first purchased this Bluetooth dongle, but they haven't answered to me yet so I don't expect any answers from them anymore. So I hope that someone here can help me to install this "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" thing or at least shed some light on the problem and explain what that is, what it is used for, and why I would need that.

Thanks for your answer! As for the Bluetooth stack, as explained before I have given up on using the Toshiba Bluetooth stack. I am using the Bluetooth stack from Microsoft that's built in to Windows Vista. I have not tested using any of the other Bluetooth stacks mentioned on that list. I think that the WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack is primarily designed for use with Bluetooth chips from Broadcom, so I'm not so sure if it would work at all with the Billionton Bluetooth dongle (not sure what chip is used in it thou).
As for the IVT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack, I have not tested it yet, but I think there is a big chance that it might just work well with my Billionton Bluetooth dongle, simply because BlueSoleil is de facto standard for Bluetoth interoperability with support for Bluetooth chipsets from many different suppliers. But the drawback with BlueSoleil is that it costs money. And I'm not motivated to buy it, I don't think it's worth it. I don't see why I as end-user should be financing the industry's incompetence and failure of creating a solid technological platform for Bluetooth connectivity. This problem I am having is not a problem specific to the Billionton Bluetooth dongles. It doesn't matter what brand of Bluetooth dongle you buy, Billionton or not, cheap or expensive, none of them work properly as they should. You will always run into problems with them, and it's usually problems with compatibility. And they expect me to pay extra for a software package like the BlueSoleil in order to make it work? No bloody way!
Right now I can't recall if I have installed the Bluetooth dongle (and with it the Microsoft Bluetooth stack) before or after installing Nokia PC Suite. I don't think it really matters, but I will remember to first install the Bluetooth dongle (and with it the Microsoft Bluetooth stack) next time I re-install Windows Vista.

Like I said, there is not many, if any, Bluetooth dongles that are compatible with... anything at all basically. I don't mean to be rude but Bluetooth techonology seems to be just a peace of **bleep**, as far as the compatibility is concerned. Besides, why would I need to insert the Bluetooth dongle after powering (switching) on the computer and not before that? Mine is inserted all the time, I never take it out of the computer. Why would I?
Exactly what "Nokia help file" are you refering to in that message? You mean THE Nokia PC Suite Help file? Or are you refering to some Nokia FAQ? I was unable to find that information in the Help file for Nokia PC Suite.

Nokia E60 & Apple Bluetooth keyboard: reconnection...

I'm using my Nokia E60 with Apple's Wireless Bluetooth keyboard. I have installed Nokia's Wireless Keyboard Software 1.30 to my phone and the keyboard works very well! But there is one big problem: reconnection. I have paired the keyboard with my phone and whenever I switch the keyboard back on and start to type it doesn't reconnect automatically as it should. I've noticed that the bluetooth status symbol activates (*) when I begin typing but Wireless Keyboard app doesn't connect with the keyboard. I have to re-pair keyboard with phone everytime I want to use it. That really **bleep** me off! This seems to be common problem with some bluetooth keyboards & Nokia phones. So I guess the problem is not in my keyboard. I also have the latest firmware installed on my Nokia E60. Is this a phone firmware problem or probably a problem in Wireless Keyboard software? N80 V4 still has bluetooth headset issues

As above really, thought this was resolved in the new firmware, but i am still having major problems hearing anything through the headset. It connects and pairs fine, and connection seems stable, but regardless of me changing the volume, i still can't hear anything through either a Sony Ericsson or Plantronics headset.
Any ideas as to a resolution, or am i stuck with this annoying bug till the end of time....?

The solution is very simple guys, though not pleasing to your hip pockets.
Ultimately, Nokia has never been able to get the Bluetooth technology reasonably compatible across all other brands. It was atrocious at the first inception of it back in 2001 and whilst vast improvements were made over the years, the reality is my theory continues to remain true. That theory is, Nokia bluetooth audio products are the only products that work best with Nokia bluetooth capable phones. They don't work necessarily 100% (I lost count as to how many times I had to power cycle my HS-4W headset before it got stolen), but they do give you more mileage than a 3rd party product. The only exception I find to this is their ridiculous move with the 610/616 car phone kits in which several handsets made after 2005 seem to work only with the later model 616 car kit thereby forcing the user to spend more money. What's the point of going bluetooth if Nokia is going to screw the customer like this?
Until Nokia learn to get it right, preferably using a Toshiba or Sony Ericsson based chipset, bluetooth audio will continue to be an absolute pain in the **bleep** outside of the Nokia accessories realm. Of course, maybe Nokia has a method behind this madness in terms of cornering the bluetooth accessories market but they won't fess up to that.

I was and still am a nokia #1 fan i have been using nokia N series for a very long time since nokia N70 came out .I have just buy a nokia N8 for 2 week now and i have found a problem with the bluetooth ,its seem i cant sent file via bluetooth to other mobile like (sony,motorola,china phone,notebook) i was able to recieve file from SOME of the other mobile but i can't sent from my n8 to other hp ,but i was able to sent and recieve file via blutooth with other nokia phone with no problem . i have try reset to factory setting ,try to reboot and also reinstall the operating system but with no luck .i even try using my old nokia N97 to sent a file to other phone eg:sony ,motorola,china phone,notebook and it work with no problem soo my question is is a nokia n97 is able to sent and receive with no problem why can't the N8 do the same , Please nokia help me with this im from singapore and i try to explaning the problem to my local nokia care center but they are not pro in software they are just giving me the same reason again and again they are working with blind pay ,following normal troubleshooting that can be found in the web site . PLEASE THIS IS A SOFTWARE BUG do fix it .and my local care center and website do not support the latest software update for my phone like in your country pls help me with this .I think my local care center too lazy with the software update version .seem every one in my contry is too **bleep** up with iphone 4 and 3gs

1st thing the auto focus work on image mode not video mode (sorry for not telling full info ) try rec a video and place it near a small details eg :word on a book , pc screen like facebook or on the keybord of your pc the back ground is fine just the details the word in not clear blur no auto focus when recording a video

Voyager 510 Bluetooth stopped working with YouTube after 10.6 upgrade

I have been using a Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headphone for several months. On 10.5.8, it worked fine with all sound applications: Finder, QuickTime, Safari/Firefox, Skype, iTunes.
I recently upgraded to 10.6 (10.6.4 now) and sound works for all those applications except for sound from a web browser. When video, etc. is playing in the browser, I do not get any sound from the video playback, even though I can get the boops and bleeps when I hit the volume control keys, etc.
Anyone have ideas about what might have changed? (Actually I did notice that the Bluetooth menu item changed from "Use as Audio Device" (in 10.5.8) to "Use as Audio Device (Mono)" in 10.6, but I don't think that should have changed the audio for the web browser.)

How do I change default volume for bluetooth heads...

I've just set my e71 up with my car bluetooth system. When I make a call the volume is too low. Is there a way I can adjust the default volume on my phone for bluetooth headset calls - without affecting the normal volume?

My bluetooth set has its own volume **bleep**. Doesn't yours have one?

Thank you for all your help however I could not get my N73 to work with my VAIO C2Z/B. Having said that I have rectified my problem by removing the Toshiba stack and replacing it with the microsoft stack. Now everything works just great. I found this information on another site. See below -

I just picked up a VKB to use with my Vaio UX380, and was having the same problems as others - "Detection of services failed" during pairing.
The problem is simply the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
The links to other stacks provided by the admins here were all trial versions as far as I could tell. I installed the updated Toshiba stack from the link provided, but it doesn't actually work. It just complains that the trial period is already over and shuts down.
The secret is to ditch the **bleep**py Toshiba stack completely and use the Windows stack. The Windows stack (at least in Vista Business) works great with the VKB and still works with my cell phone for EVDO tethering.
Step by Step Instructions:
Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall "Windows Bluetooth Stack by Toshiba"
Afterwards, Windows will complain that it can't find a driver for your "UGX" - that's your bluetooth adapter.
(I followed some instructions found elsewhere on the web to edit my c:\windows\inf\bth.inf file, to add the Vaio's built in PnP ID to the file, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't necessary, since windows didn't want to use its built-in driver anyway, and I had to select one of the pre-existing adapter types. If these instructions here don't work for you, see below just in case)
Go to Device Manager and find the "UGX" with the exclamation point, and "Update Device Driver". Tell it you'll find the software, and when it gives up, tell it to show you all hardware available. Select Bluetooth, and then "Alps USB Bluetooth Adapter". Let it install the drivers.
After a restart, your bluetooth adapter should be functioning normally, but with the Windows stack instead of the Toshiba one.
And as by magic it all works at last

Having the same problem on my Nokia 5800xm. When I try to Activate BT in the phone it says 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation'.. some of the threads mention that if the Bluetooth Device Address is displayed when *#2820# is dialled then its a Software problem ..not a Hardware issue (IS IT CORRECT ???) . As its being displayed on my device..thinking that the issue is only Software related, I Re-installed the previous version (v 52.0.007) without success. Even the latest firmware update (v 60.0.003) is of no help..
P.S. when the problem started a few days back.. the BT got activated after a FEW tries 2-3 times.. but after that no luck..-

Bluetooth not found

Hi, hp envy m6 1125dx, win8 64bit I have the above mentioned pc for about a year now and always worked fine. I recently bought a Parrot Zik bluetooth headphones. I had never used/looked for bluetooth on the pc before now. I paired the headphones with my phone, no problem at all. Then, I tried to pair the headphones with the pc..... The bluetooth icon is nowhere to be found.. and I don't remember having seen it ever.. I go to Control panel>Device manager>Network adapters and I see that there is no Bluetooth adapter installed... Then, I open the service.msn file and I see that the "Bluetooth Support Service" is running... How can it run with no drivers installed?????? So far I've tried:1. a hard reset of the pc ( power off, disconnect everything, pull battery out, press the power button for 20sec, battery back in, turn pc on ) didn't work, bluetooth icon is still missing and in pc settings>wireless the option to turn bluetooth on or off is not there. 2. Tried to install the following drivers, sp60480.exe, sp58944.exe, sp59207.exe, sp59021.exe and also SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe of Broadband.comAgain, no luck. None of the drivers was even installed.... Any ideas anyone on what could be wrong??? Should I just get an external usb Bluetooth adapter..??? If Yes, any suggestions on which one??? This is a **bleep** expensive pair of headphones and I would hate it not being able to use them...Don't think it matters but, I bought the pc in the U.S. but I live in Italy. Many thanks

I just came across your post reply and I have a similar problem (the reason I am here searching, Eureka!) so I thought I would take this opportunity to ask, if I may about my situation. I purchased my computer slightly before 12/25/2012 at BestBuy. It is a HP Envy m6 Notebook PC with original Win 8 64 bit upgraded free to Win 8.1 last year and getting ready to upgrade to Win 10 when it is released! Yeah! Product number is C2N76UA#ABA BIOS is F.26 System Board: 18A4 73.50 GRAPHICS BOARD: Intel(R) HD GRaphics 4000 MicroProcessor: Intel9R) Core (TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.5GHz Operating System: Windows 8.1 upgrade 64 bit soon to be upgraded to Win 10 64 bit! Memory: Two - 4GB Samsung 1600MHz for 8 GB Total l would like to know if the above PC was suppose to come with Bluetooth or not? and if not if I could purchase an adapter thru HP? that would make sure it works through this PC (I also have an another older PC HP notebook Pavilion DV6 with Win 7 service pack 2 (latest) which I would also like have adapter for bluetooth) (this Win 7 PC has a broken Built in WEBCAM which I need to fix at some point, any hints on that issue?) Garmin Nuvi 765T Bluetooth Phantom Unknown Caller Issue...

I recently got a new Nuvi and synced it with my Storm. It worked great until I did some voice dialing via the Nuvi interface. Now, every time the 2 pieces sync up with one another over bluetooth, I see a phantom incoming call from "unknown caller"...it doesn't matter whether I push accept or ignore, the Garmin accepts the call and treats it like a real call, preventing me from placing any out-bound calls through the Garmin unit. I'm asking here because the Garmin folks knew nothing about the issue. I'm thinking it may have something to do with blackberry/Garmin interaction? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i have exactly the same problem with the nokia 5800 & the garmin 765t. One of the reasons i chose this unit was for the handsfree capability. Surely the latest nokia xpressmusic should be compatible - according to Garmin the xpressmusic 5610 is. Like BuNka i can accept calls via the unit, but not make them - i get a message on the phone when i dial out on the 765t but it quickly disappears and the call isn't made, though just once it did actually make a call, but i can't get it to repeat that. I have tried pairing both ways, i.e. phone to satnav, and satnav to phone - makes no difference, and also, when the satnav is paired it changes the default handsfree on the phone to bt handsfree device (?). To get it back to normal i have to unpair the devices. I have the latest firmware/software on both devices.
Another problem is that when the units are paired, the first incoming call i get rings on the satnav & the phone. But for subsequent incoming calls the phone doesn't ring or vibrate even though these are set on, and the satnav makes no sound either. The incoming call is shown on both units, but there is no alert tone. I missed several calls before i realised this was happening. To get the phone to work properly i have to unpair the 765t on thre phone then switch the phone off and on again. This is really **bleep**!!!!!!!!!!!! I have emailed garmin but they aren't much help - they just say the phone isn't in their compatible list.. which it isn't.. but it SHOULD be!! I guess the message is if you have a nokia 5800 dont expect handsfree from the Garmin 765t....

Go to PC Suite get connected wizard, select Bluetooth, then select "unpair". Once unpair is done, boot PC and phone, then put Bluetooth in phone on again and use get connected wizard to "repair" the Suite and phone.

Bluetooth: An embarrassment to the whole industry

Due to bluetooth problems with the N80 I have now received a whole list of things to check and report back to Nokia's support departement. Some of the information I doubt I can even get my hands on -even if I spent all that time trying.
Now, the problem is actually that something that is being advertised as ONE standard does not work as it should!
I would have thought that after all these years of frustration with stupid bluetooth software and silly COM-port emulation and heaven knows what **bleep** the bluetooth inventors have heaped upon us, things whould finally have been straightened out a bit! But, oh no..
Why don't the bluetooth people get together now and iron out the problems, instead of **bleep** us customers off with endless compatibility problems? More to the point: Why does Nokia seem to have more problems than others? Perhaps Nokia should find out and fix the problem?

I really appreciate your assistance, but my original posting actually was about not having to sift through endless technical details and "incompabilities" just to get a stupid simple wireless wire-replacement technology to work!How come WiFi works so much better? (Rethorical question.)
I have the one and only (=latest) Belkin driver, as verified at Belkins web site.
I have a small GPS receiver which is self-contained, and can't be updated. The idea is that "it just works", which it does except with Nokia.
I don't have troubles with my laptop. PC Suite works OK with the USB cable. It can occasionally work with bluetooth for a couple of minutes.
There is a common denominator here: A Nokia phone.
I have had bluetooh problems before, due to fantastically stupid software that was impossible to comprehend, but that was a few years ago. I really believed bluetooth was sort of sorted, but then along comes Nokia...
