Bluetooth BT500 Adapter Issues

I'm assuming I'm not the only one that has experienced this problem, but there seems to be no solution to this that I can find, which brings me here.
I have a PSC 1510xi All-in-one printer which I've owned for a few years. The print works great, but due to recent mobility issues, I am looking to make it wireless via bluetooth. I own a macbook with built in bluetooth. I purchased the BT500 bluetooth adapter in hopes of making my 1510 printer bluetooth enabled (plugging it in through the pictbridge, as the instructions go). Lo and behold, my computer doesn't detect the bluetooth signal the printer should be sending out. I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, which commuicate fine.
Does anyone know to fix this, or know what is going on?
Thanks in advance!

Raj An,
If you haven’t already, try reinstalling the latest drivers from HP.
You’ll need to know the exact model of your laptop in order to find exactly what you need.
You may want to take a look at
this thread, which provides links to each of the submodels of the laptop in question.
Remember, you’ll also want to make sure to pick the correct driver for your architecture, whether it is 64-bit or 32-bit.
Hope this helps!

You can only add songs to your iOS device from iTunes via Wi-Fi sync or via your cable, not Bluetooth.

That's an entirely different issue, unrelated to your iOS devices.

  • Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter Update OS X?

Hi, i bought a logitech z506 5.1 speaker system for my mbp and with it i got a Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter with the set. I then tried to pair my iPhone with the adapter and BAM straight in and playing via bluetooth onto my speakers. But then i tried it with my mbp, no luck, pairs then disconnects and no sound . Phoned logitech and they said that the adapter doesn't work with OS X Lion which is slightly annoying as i just paid £90 for this set and adapter. Anyone know if there will be some sort of update. I doubt it because it is such a small number of people that this effects. Thanks

I am having this problem right now too only difference is that I am using a bluetooth headphone rather than a speaker. The volume is very low and it would disconnect automatically if my bluetooth headphones are not playing any audio. I never had this issue until I updated to 10.7.4. I tried searching for solutions but I couldn't find any. I am hoping as well that someone will find a workaround about this issue.

  • Video Adapter Issues?

I just went through a download of recommended Lenovo updates and now have problems starting up the computer.  I get consistent blue screen telling me that I may have memory or video adapter issues.  Is this a video adapter or is there another cause?  I wasn't getting this prior to the update at the end of July...

What ThinkPad exactly are we discussing here?

Do you find connecting to a Bluetooth keyboard creates issues w/ the new iPad's performance?

I have an Adesso case with bluetooth keyboard for my iPad 2. No affect on performance. Keybord easier to use compared to on-screen keyboard. Plus it has more keys compared to on-screen keyboard.

  • Logitech bluetooth speaker adapter kaput since update

Since the new Mac OS X 10.7.3 update, my Logitech Bluetooth speaker adapter has not functioned. When I choose to use it as my audio device, there is a very long pause and then I receive the message "A Bluetooth audio error occurred." (Normally, I wait through a short pause after which I hear a beep from my stereo speakers that tells me that the Logitech adapter is working.)
This device has been working fine since I bought it two months ago. It hasn't worked since the update.
    I'm running a MacBook Pro (2.2GHx Intel Core 2 Duo w/ 4GB 667 RAM).
Anyone else having this problem? I am not sure if this problem is directly related to the update. Just looking for info right now.

Greetings everyone! I reinstalled Lion and paired my Logitech Bluetooth Headset at 10.7.2. But the system won't connect to it after updating to 10.7.3.
    Finally I made my bluetooth headset work again. Here's how I did it;
    1. In Preference>Bluetooth, remove my paired device. Reboot mac.
    2. Deleted the following two files in Library/Preferences/
    ---com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    ---com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.lockfile
(These files will be reconstructed by the system)
The system will ask for your administration password. Reboot mac.
    3. In Preference>Bluetooth, pair my BT headset again and assign it to be the audio device. You may find the BT device not connected, then by playing a music or youtube video, connection should be established and sound is output.
    4. Reboot to make sure BT headset work steadily(leave the BT headset turned on). But I encountered kernel panic and forced restart (twice!) Upon the third restart, I logged in, and BT headset worked properly.
The normal situation is, Mac automatically connects to BT headset few seconds after the headset is turned on. And I think we can just turn off BT deveice (whenever we don't need them) instead of disabling Bluetooth in Preference. Just leave the BT settings, so next time your Mac sees the BT device, it automatically connects to it.
I hope the above information can be helpful. Any comments are welcomed!

  • Bluetooth Headset / Earpiece Issues

My Jawbone bluetooth earpiece worked well with my original iPhone and 3GS but does not with the new iPhone 4. I heard bluetooth was an issue but I am only reading about tethering and phone to phone noncompatability. I heard it doesn't work with FaceTime either.
I just want to be able to use it with a phone call. It randomly drops and reconnects, etc. Very unreliable. I have had my phone since June and do not even carry my earpiece around with me anymore. Any info or news on this issue and a firmware update?

I've been having this same issue since I bought the iPhone 4. I'm really disappointed! I don't think I'll buy another iPhone for issues like this. I've spent a lot of money on the earpieces that I like to use and NONE of them give me good results with the phone.
I really would not expect an issue like this to go on for so long. This iteration of the iPhone has rendered my investments in high quality earpieces worthless pieces of junk.

  • Can i call from ipod touch 5h using wireless bluetooth sim adapter?

I wan to connet a wireless bluetooth sim adapter i.e gmate to my ipod touch 5g.So can i call from my ipod touch or not.

What is a wireless bluetooth sim adopter?
Does the manufacturer say it will work with an iPod touch?
My guess is that unless that is an app that support it, it will not work.

  • It delays 200 mSec from Tx to Rx at Mobile to bluetooth Serial adapter, why

I use mobile to bluetooth serial adapter.
It delay 200mSec from Tx to Rx 1 byte.
I use PC bluetooth to bluetooth serial adapter that it is normal.
I used StreamConnection, OutputStream and InputStream APIs.
    How?

It sends 126 bytes to MTU size that is no delay.
    I am trying for Rx.

  • Bluetooth Speaker adapter

I've been trying to setup a bluetooth connection between my mac and bluetooth speaker adapter that is hooked up to my home stereo. The pairing is working and it shows up in my bluetooth settings, but it is showing that the bluetooth adapter is not connected. I have tried with multiple adapters and nothing. I thought I read somewhere that Leopard is the first OS that supports this type of pairing, and obviously I'm still running Tiger. Is this true? Any ideas? I'm getting frustrated trying to figure this out.

  • General bluetooth serial adapter questio/ discussion (concept question)

    Dear all,
I am working on a project which need to use my notebook (bluetooth enable) to talks to a "Willies bluetooth serial port adapter" which is connected to a microcontoller circuit to control other devices.  So, I am trying to write a labview program which send a virtual serial port signal via bluetooth. Am I confusing you? Do you have any clue how to do it? Starting from a VISA vi, then some bluetooth vi?
I have not yet received the "Willies bluetooth serial port adapter", and I will receive it next week. My critical job now is to make myself able to do bluetooh data transfer, so I will have more chance able to do the real tasks next week. I am trying to use labview in my notebook to connect to my pda phone, does my pda phone need any VI ?? Any clue? I believe the notebook to pda bluetooth transfer is similar to the bluetooth serial port adapter. What do you think?

  • Bluetooth adapter issue after being unplugged then plugged back in

I am running 10.7.4, MacBook Pro 2 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB Ram, Thunderbolt Display with Apple wired Keyboard and Apple Magic Mouse.
    Initial issue:
After using the Magic Mouse for a few months I noticed a significant performance issue with the mouse when the internal hard drive would spin up for large data transfers, Time Machine backups, etc.  I spoke with Apple Care and tried a number of things, tried switching the wireless network, all with no sign of a fix in the future.  I paired the mouse with other computers and could never re-create the issue.  I also paired other Bluetooth mice with the laptop and could not re-create the issue.  After doing further research I found a number of people on-line that started to use an external Bluetooth adapter which would bypass the internal one.  After purchasing one from Amazon, the results were immediately superior.  I had plugged the adapter into the underside of my Apple wired keyboard and performance was as expected.
However, this has led to issue number 2:
My MacBook Pro will travel with me often therefore requiring me to unplug it from my "desktop" setup which is it plugged into a Thunderbolt Display, and the display has all of the peripheral plugged in including the wired keyboard with the external Bluetooth dongle plugged into it.  When I have had my computer away form the set up for a few hours/days and then come back to plug it in, all external devices work immediately with the exception of the magic mouse.  It will sometimes work fairly quickly, within a minute of plugging into the Thunderbolt display, and sometimes I am unable to make it work at all unless I restart the machine.  This issue has happened with and without the Thuderbolt display.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Never got a green light.. does that mean no light at all.. or is it flashing amber??
The series 1 particularly but it happens in series 2 and 3 the TC power supply breaks. Then if you power down and turn it on again it is dead. No light at all. The power supply was on the edge and after powering off does not have the ability to supply start current to the TC so shuts down.. If you plug in after a while the light my flash briefly and go out.. it will not happen again until you wait a few hours for the caps to discharge.
If you have Apple Care on a computer and the TC is less than 3years old Apple will replace it.. otherwise you are joining a large and ever growing multitude of dead TC owners.

  • Bluetooth Driver Bootcamp Issue

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro with Windows 7 Ultimate installed.  Until recently I have had no problems using my might mouse through bluetooth in Windows 7. Today I booted into Windows and the mouse no longer works.  I messed around with it for awhile and eventually I went to device manager and realized my bluetooth adapter wasn't even showing up.  Bluetooth and mighty mouse still works fine back in Mac OS.  I unistalled bootcamp from my Windows 7 and reinstalled all of the drivers.  Still having the same issue.  Any suggestions?

I also got the same problem. No Bluetooth adapter in the device manager.
I also tried to install the driver via the old Hardware wizard:
    1. Starting C:/Windows/System32/hdwwiz.exe
    2. "Install the hardware that I &manually select from a list (Advanced)"
    3. "Show All Devices" - Next
    4. Wait a second for windows to load all the drivers
    5. Under Manufacturer, select "Apple Inc." and under Model, "Apple Bluetooth Driver"
    6. Message showing up:
"The software for this device is now installed, but may not work correctly.
This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Now the Apple Bluetooth Adapter shows up in the device manager under "System devices" but with the status: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
After that, I also tried to restart. Nothing changed.
I also tried to install the Bluetooth Driver from the OSX Windows driver disk. Installed without problems but didn't solve the problem.
    Windows 7 64bit - up to date
    Bootcamp 3.3
    Macbook bought 2009
    Model Nr. A1181
Really looking forward for a solution on this problem.
    Regards
    EDIT:
A while back, my Bluetooth worked on windows. I used it to transfer files from my old phone to my macbook.
    EDIT2:
On Mac the Bluetooth adapter works flawless.
