Bluetooth button suggestion

I'm not sure if any development guys read this, but here's a suggestion that would improve the iPhone for those of us who use it with several bluetooth devices:
Give us an option to have a bluetooth on/off button on the main screen.
Leaving bluetooth on consumes a bunch of battery life, so I (and I imagine others) prefer to turn bluetooth off when it's not in use. That's easy to do--wake the phone up, hit options, hit bluetooth, and then slide it off. But this takes a little time. It would be way more convenient just to have a one touch option for those of us who find ourselves turning bluetooth on and off a dozen times a day.

AGREED! It's actually rather dangerous as I find myself trying to turn the bluetooth on in my car at times I probably shouldn't. If it were a quick touch button on the main screen, it would be a lot easier (and safer!) for those of us in cars. I keep bluetooth OFF most of the time, though because of battery life.
To be honest, it would be beyond great if they allowed you to make a button for ANY function in the iPhone so that you could place it as a "quick key" on your home page.

Ichat bluetooth button gone in leopard

Hi, Just went from 10.4.11 to 10.5.3. I see the bluetooth button in ichat windows is gone now. What was simple and elegant in Tiger is now quite difficult in Leopard. Changing to bluetooth headset simply meant pressing the bluetooth button in the chat window. It seems that I can't change from internal to bluetooth during a chat anymore. Broken? Makes me want to go back to Leopard.

Go to ichats prefs/video and click on "set up bluetooth headset.." and set up you headset again.

My Menu finder bar Gray? And bluetooth button Invisible?

My MacBook Pro is an Mid-2012 build and also with OS X 10.8.4. I used to have a menu bar that was transparent like all normal macs, so I just wanted a change so I used an obsidien colored menu bar called "Obsidian Menu Bar" I didn't really like it so I used an another package in the dmg file called the "restore OS X Menu bar" so I installed it but it just gave me a gray menu bar, and ALSO my bluetooth button on my menu bar went invisible, when I clicked the place where the menu bar was suppposed to be, it worked but it was still invisible.
So is there any wasy to change my menu bar to transparent again and also make my bluetooth button apear again. Also I didn't use time Machine.
I can't re-install OS X Becasue I don't have hard drive big enough for my mac to backup.

Shut down the computer immediately and don't turn it on again until you have at least one, and preferably more than one, external hard drive large enough to back up all your data. Then back up with Time Machine.

Bluetooth button

I recently purchased a new iMac with the Intel chip. Last night as I was iChatting in a video chat with my dad when I noticed a button I had never seen on my other Macs. At the bottom of the video screen were the normal +, mute and full screen mode buttons. Next to the full screen button was a Bluetooth button. When I ran my pointer to it, it said it was for full screen mode as well. When I clicked on it the button turned blue, the screen froze for a moment and then went back to normal with the button remaining blue. When I clicked it again I heard a "bonk" and nothing else other than chatting with dad. What is this button for and how do I utilize it?

Bluetooth earpiece suggestions for LG Accolade. Never used bluetooth before.

I have an LG Accolade VX-5600 that I have been using a wired headset with. I'm thinking of using a bluetooth earpiece with it but I am not at all familar with bluetooth. According to the details for the Accolade on PhoneScoop it says Supported Profiles: HSP 1.1, HFP 1.5, OPP, PBA version 2.1+EDR. I don't know what any of that means.
I don't really need a fancy one, and I don't want to spend more more than $20, and I'm willing to buy a used one on eBay or Bonanza. Are there any brands to avoid or suggestions for a model that would meet my needs?

I really like the Logitech mice. I had a Microsoft BT mouse and a Belkin one, and I got rid of them both because of flakey behavior and went for a Logitech. Works great. I'm using the MX900, there are newer models out there now, I believe.
I have an Apple BT keyboard, and I like it a lot. I think on keyboards the choice is a bit broader, because the "performance" of a keyboard is a lot harder to get wrong. They either work or they don't. Logitech, Microsoft, Belkin all have Bluetooth keyboards, and they should work with the Mac for the most part, but it's a good idea to check first.
One thing you'll lose by not buying Apple peripherals is the battery level meter on the preferences pane. I can tell where my Apple keyboard's battery is, but not the Logitech mouse. I wanted two mouse buttons, though, so I went with the Logitech.

"Previous" button suggestion.

(Yes, I will post this in the 'official' suggestions form... just thought that I would mention it here also.)
Since we often work in studio, the photos tend to develop similarly, but not exactly the same. The photos tend to 'trend' in one direction, and then start changing in a different direction, with small changes of develop settings taking place from one photo to the next.
We could use the "Copy" and "paste" function from one photo to the next, but when working through photos, the "Previous" button is much more convenient. What "Previous" does is copy ALL of the develop settings from the previously selected photo to the currently selected photo... but it is an "all or nothing" situation.
The problem is that "Previous" copies thing like "Spot Removal", "Brush Tool", "Cropping", etc that are not necessarily items that you would want to carry over from one photo to the next, since they don't really match up between images.
It would be great if there was a way to setup the "Previous" button just like the "Copy" button, where only specific items are transferred from one photo to the next when pressing "Previous". Maybe pressing "CTRL-Previous" could bring up a setup menu?
It is a minor thing , but it would greatly simplify the workflow.

GAP -
Using SYNC is waaay to much work when going from photo to photo. SYNC is good for base adjustments, like color balance, base sharpening, etc.
IMHO, SYNC is only really useful if you have to make a similar adjustment to many photos, based on a specific parameter. For example, if you want to apply additional noise reduction to all the photos shot at ISO 1600 with a specific camera, SYNC is the correct tool.
But when you have to fine tune many photos in a series, going to the next photo and pressing "Previous" to get you in the general ballpark is often the best choice, since if the photos are similar the adjustments will probably be similar, except for special stuff like brushes, spotting and cropping.
Adding a 'carry over' menu to "Previous" shouldn't be that hard, and it would certainly increase the usefulness of that function.

Bluetooth button missing from iChat Video Conference window

I normally use a bluetooth headset when in an iChat video conference. Tiger has a button on the bottom edge of the video screen to select or deselect the bluetooth headset. This button is missing in Leopard forcing you to go into the preferences panel and select the device there.
Did I miss an option somewhere?

I have not heard of this in iChat 3.
As no-one else has answered I would guess it is a feature many others are unaware of.

I'm looking for a multi-button BT mouse that will work perfectly with my PowerBook. My top candidate is Macally's BTmouseJR for price and how Macally has given me reliable good products in the past. Any suggestions or support for my decision?

WOW YOU MAKE A GREAT POINT! lol Just kidding yea i saw that but would prefer a multi-button mouse. I read your JOY of PowerBook post and saw you mentioned the Apple wireless mouse and agree: the PowerBooks are awesome. Anyways, as hardcore as some people are third party products are sometimes necessary. Thanks for adding the option to thee discussion though.

If you Restored the iPhone with iTunes on your computer, and there is still no WiFi or Bluetooth, this is hardware error. If there is Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send iPhone to Apple for resolution.
