Bluetooth compatibility

I was just wondering if I could use my wireless bluetooth headphones with the ipod 6th gen?

No, the Classic does not have Bluetooth capability.
A possible solution would be to buy yourself a Bluetooth transmitter, designed to plug into the 30-pin connector of the iPod. There are two or three different makes on the market in the UK, although I have no idea about other countries.
If you find a Bluetooth transmitter, check first (via the manufacturer's FAQs) whether it will successfully do what you want.

Is my ipod classic bluetooth compatable?

It is not.  You'll need to purchase an add-on such as the one below to add bluetooth functionality.

  • Iphone 5 bluetooth compatibility

The iphone 5 isn't compatible with the bluetooth in my 2011 car that uses Uconnect, won't recognize the device, worked fine with the iphone 4.  Called VW and Apple, they told me to call Uconnect, Uconnect says they're waiting for apple to fix this problem.   I can get music thru the mp3 jack but the bluetooth part won't work at all.  Anyone have any insight?

    Hi Sdani93,
Please check with Apple support whether the Sony MEX-BT3900U Audio system comes under the list of compatible devices supported by iOS 6 operating system. Sony has already made their devices available to Apple for checking their compatibility.

  • Bluetooth Compatibility check before buying Nokia

If you are thinking of buying a Nokia and want it so you can use the Bluetooth in your car first check your radio BT.
If its a parrot (the bluetooth option in it) then check this page for compatibility first.
     http://www.parrot.com/uk/support/onlinehelpguides/parrot-rki8400/compatibility/?idproduct=59&idbrand...
I can't guarantee it will still work (parrot/nokia pairing is not reliable) but it's a start.

  • Bluetooth compatibility with Windows on iMac?

My wireless Apple keyboard and Mighty Mouse work great under Tiger OS. When I first went into Windows, I plugged in the wired keyboard and mouse and registered both Bluetooth devices under Windows, and they worked fine. The wired items went back to storage.
When I close Windows, go to Tiger, everything still works fine but when I go back to Windows the wireless devices have lost their registration. I've re-set them up several times but it happens every time. Anyone have a suggested way to register the bluetooth devices with Windows so they will stay registered?
    Thanks!

Currently, the Apple Bluetooth Radio does not work well in Windows. There is just some sort of incompatibility which keeps Windows from keeping Apple (or Microsoft, for that matter) Bluetooth devices registered in Windows. The same is true if you use Microsoft Bluetooth devices in OS X.
I have the same problems using my Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop set with my Intel iMac in Windows or OS X.
The Apple hardware and software just is not very compatible with Windows, nor is the Windows hardware very compatible with its own software or with OS X.
I guess we will just have to wait until both Microsoft and Apple improve cross-platform compatibility.
Sorry, but I have no answer for you other than that. They just don't work as they should right now.

  • Bluetooth compatability

Second try....not sure if I am using this forum correctly.
Problem is trying to communicate between a Nokia 6350 phone bluetooth and an HP Photosmart C309a. Nokia recognizes and identifies the HP, but when asked o connect says HP does not support service. HP Tech Support(oxymoron) says printer bluetooth will not talk to mobile equipment, and was absolutely unable to tell me what bluetooth profile printer wqs using.
    Any help out there?
    Thanks
    AHB

    Hi,
Well first of all there are apparantly severall versions of bluetooth and not all are backwards compatable. However i found out with my own HP d6160 printer with a bluetooth stick in the pictbridge port that if i choose to print a picture via bluetooth it will not work. When i choose to just send a picture to the printer it will print. The only trouble with these steps is that you do not have control over which tray it prints from, or on the size. So make sure your unit has set the paper which you want to use as default paper, and make sure the picture is allready the size you want it to print.

Although I work for HP my posts and replies are my own

  • HT2845 Mac Pro and bluetooth compatibility

I have a Mac Pro that has OS Lion installed, but bluetooth doesn't seem to be available on the computer. I am trying to connect a Magic Mouse. What is the best way to do so? Is the USB-bluetooth method the easiest and cheapest?

I installed the most recent patches a few days ago. Shortly after, the Might Mouse and the wireless Apple keyboard started dropping out, as often as 10 times a day. Turning bluetooth off and on appears to clear the problem temporarily. Fortunately, with the trackpad and the MBP's keyboard you can take quick action without resorting to a plug-in mouse and keyboard.
Otherwise, the MBP appears to be relatively stable, but not the 100% I had become accustomed to with older macs. I find, for example, that occasionally the machine can be cranky when waking from sleep. The bluetooth problem is right at the surface and quite annoying. It's not at all obvious what's triggering it.

  • Bluetooth Compatibility With iOS 6.1.2, Bluetooth Compatibility With iOS 6.1.2

I just updated to iOS 6.1.2 on my iPhone 4 and now it says that my Jawbone Era is no longer compatible, what is up with that Apple?

I just solved my problem in my 4S was not connecting to my car BLUETOOTH
I noticed my phone would not connect to my KINDLE app either.
    I uninstalled KINDLE app.
I went to SETTINGS GENERAL and selected RESET menu
I selected RESET NETWORK SETTINGS first
then I selected RESET ALL SETTINGS (this option will not erased data)
I resintalled KINDLE and was able to connect
Checked with my car and was able to pair it via BLUETOOTH as it was before.
Hope this will help more people.

  • Macbook Air and Bluetooth compatibility fixed :-)

This update fixes the problem that Macbook Air has with Internet connections being dropped when bluetooth is on. http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL850/en_US/BluetoothFirmwareUpdate2.0.dmg

It's not working because you can't pair any apple devices via bluetooth.
The only time is for tethering.

  • IPhone 4S, MacAir, Bluetooth compatibility

I cannot get my iPhone 4S to connect to my MacAir via bluetooth.  Is it me or that they just don’t talk to each other?

    It's you.
They've never been able to 'talk' to each other. Data transfer using Bluetooth has never been a feature of the iOS.
Bluetooth supported profiles are listed here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3647
You can't use AirDrop either before you ask:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5887
What you're supposed to do is use iTunes and the cable provided with the iPhone.

  • Bluetooth Compatibility on BMW 750Li

I am having problems with my new BlackBerry 9630 and the bluetooth connection in my BMW 750Li 2010. It connects just fine however it often disconnects at random. I discovered on BMW's website that the Pearl is currently the only support BB for bluetooth connections, but is there anything at all that I can do to fix the disconnecting problems?

Blackberry has misrepresented the existence of the problem to many consumers. They initially claimed there was no problem with BMW. They have instructed technicians to deny the existence of the problem> One "technician" suggested it was BMW's fault and suggested that the Bluetooth not be used. Even went so far as to suggest that the speakerphone was a good alternative. After over two hours of wrangling, they finally admitted it was a software glitch on their end and that they had no solution. But, they were working on it.
The problem is their software had glitches and they don;t ant to admit it. Blackberry;s use of the phrase "Customer Service" is an oxymoron.
The solution for the problem is obvious, if not so simple - Motorola and Apple both have Customer Service lines that actually tell the truth about their problems and know the equipment. Buy an I-Phone or Droid.  Or you could follow one of the technician's ideas, trade in your BMW.
