  • Bluetooth connection or pairing issue

I can't get my plantronics device to be found by my iphone 4s.

Check the manual, either the paper one you received with the headset or an online one, however it generally involves holding down the answer button for a short period of time until the light flashes red and blue.

  • Why is my Apple Wireless Keyboard connected and paired, but I can't type anything?

    Hey,
I’ve been using Apple Wireless Keyboard (A1314) for a year now. Yesterday it stopped working. I can see it’s connected and paired, but I can't type. I tried unparing and pairing it again and sometimes it helps - I have no idea why, but once in ten attempts it works. When it works, though, some strange happen - like my Mac increases it’s volume level like I hit F12 on the keyboard.
When I go to Bluetooth menu battery level is hardly ever shown up. Also, when my keyboard is connected it takes a few seconds to open forementioned bluetooth menu.
So, it there change I will be able to repair it? It’s not like it costs $5. :c

    Hello:
    Try resetting the SMC.

  • Blackberry Smart Card Reader 7250 and Blackberry Bold 9000 connecting and pairing

As the subject line states, I am trying to connect and pair the Card Reader with the Device.  I am unsuccessful in following the steps to Pair the Device with the Card Reader.
When I attemp to Click Connect from the Security Options/Smart Card/Registered Reader Drivers/Blackberry, and after I enter the reader ID on the device I receive an error "Connection to unknow device fail"  and then it tries to connect 2 more times, and I receive the error "Unable to connect your Blackberry Smart Card Reader. Please verify that the reader is turned on, that you have correctly specified the reader ID, and that the reader is not alreadt paired with another Blackberry.
    Could someone provide some assistance?

I've received the same error. It's a known issue with a batch of new readers.  I called RIM and they said an updated software package should be made available online in the next day or so which will address/resolve the problem.

  • When booting up, the bluetooth connects and then disconnects with my trackpad 3 or 4 times then i get a gray cover over the desktop that drops from top to bottom then a window that tells me to use the power button to do a forced shutdown.

when booting up, the bluetooth connects and disconnects with my trackpad 3 to 4 times and then i get a gray sheet that drops down from the top to bottom of the desktop then a box in the center that tells me to use the power button to do a forced shutdown. wireless keyboard connects with no problem. went to the apple store and they replaced the bluetooth card. still have the same problem. removed the batteries from the trackpad, strted up and no problem connecting with wireless mouse and keyboard. anyone else experience this?

This could be a software/state problem or a hardware problem.  Here are steps to resolve the former.

  • Bluetooth keyboard and mouse issue

I have a 20" Aluminium iMac with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Recently i've started to have some issues where the keyboard keeps disconnecting & reconnecting, also the mouse going slow and jerky. They have been working perfectly fine for the past year but only recently started to play up. I have gone into bluetooth prefs and deleted them and re-connected, this seemed to be a temporary fix but after a while it started again, although not as bad as before. I usually leave my Mac on all the time and just put it in sleep mode, the issue now seems to be waking it from sleep as well. I have tried restarts and re pairing as i said before but nothing seems to be solving the issue. Any ideas or fixes would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • My Bluetooth was working a week ago but it doesn't show up or connect in my bluetooth list it just says still searching for devices, why won't my bluetooth connect or pair again?

The bluetooth showed up in the bluetooth list last week & now it won't even connect to the phone when i turn the bluetooth on to start pairing it just says Searching.

    Hey there Kaitlyn Turner,
It sounds like your bluetooth is not functioning correctly on the iPhone. I recommend the troubleshooting in this article for the issue you are seeing named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4562
Check that you are in range of the Bluetooth accessory with which you are trying to pair your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Most Bluetooth accessories have a range of approximately 30 feet.
On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your device in the list. If your device says Not Connected, tap the name of your accessory to attempt to connect it.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and then on again.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is turned on and fully charged or connected to power.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is in pairing mode.1
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and locate the Bluetooth accessory you are currently connected to or attempting to connect to. Then tap and Forget this Device. Try to pair your Bluetooth accessory again.
Note: You may need to re-enter your Bluetooth accessory PIN if your accessory requires one. Some common PINs are 0000, 1111, and 1234.
Restart your Bluetooth accessory by turning it off and then on again1.
Update your device to the latest version of software. See how to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
If your Bluetooth accessory has upgradable firmware, check to see that you have the latest version1, 2.
And this troublehsooting from down the bottom if needed:
Bluetooth disconnects, intermittent connectivity, or unable to find
Move your iOS device closer to the Bluetooth accessory.
Position your iOS device and Bluetooth accessory in direct line of sight of each other. For example, move the Bluetooth accessory and iOS device to the same side of your body.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if performance improves.
Check for sources of potential interference and move both the iOS device and the Bluetooth accessory away from other electronic devices.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings.
If your device is still experiencing issues
If the steps above have not resolved the Bluetooth behavior you are experiencing, perform a software restore in iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your iOS device in iTunes, contact Apple for support and service options.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Unable to do Bluetooth Connection and Transfer

the Blue-tooth connection between the Nokia N86 8MP and my laptop (Toshiba A500-134) get failed always, if i try to send something from the phone to the laptop the error message is (Unable to Connect) and in the other way (Service discovery failed), i tried to add the laptop in the pairing devices, same result and same errors , please help.

    Hi surikid
    Sorry for the delay.
In response to your question about versions, can create pda
applications for pocket pc 2003 with version 7.1 but you will need
to make sure you have Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0 installed.
See the knowledgebase and related links below for more info:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/7D65D66EB07111F186256EBD005A5499?OpenDocument
Now with regard to your code, in order to get this to work, we are going to have to make some changes. I haven't really spent any time looking at the read algorithm on the bottom halve of the code as I am not exactly sure which configeration you are running your Nonin 4100 on. Can I suggest you search for bluetooth in the find examples section of labview and look at the simple bluetooth - pocket pc example. Look at which vi's are used in both the client and server and have a play around with it. In your code everything is fine until the bluetooth create listener vi. This vi is used to create a channel for a server to listen for incoming connections on. You will need to set up your pda to be the client not the server. The nonin 4100 will be the server, constantly throwing out the data. All you need to do is discover the device you want and then open a connection to it. Once connected you need your read algorithm to exract the data.
One last point, as I already have said, I would suggest implementing some error handling. Use an unbundle by name function to exact the status from the error cluster after the bluetooth read vi. Then use a boolean OR before the 3 stop terminals of the 3 while loops at the bottom, so that the program will stop if an error occurs. You will need to put a simple error handler after the close connection vi.
    Hope this all makes sense.

  • Excite 7.7 JB bluetooth drivers bug (pairing issues)

    Hi!
There's a relatively well known Android Bluetooth drivers bug that causes constant unjustified pairing requests from an already paired device. My Excite 7.7 (JB) is definitely prone to it with the Torque Pro app. I think the occurrence of the bug is both Android OS version and application dependent. For example, see discussion here:
    http://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=2076.0
The developer basically says that the manufacturer needs to come up with a fix. I do not really want to get involved in a lengthy phone conversation trying to convince the support people that the bug exists. Any ideas?

While in the office yesterday I backed up my phone, wiped it and reloaded iOS 7.1.1, BT pairing issues resolved. PITA!

  • T420 Bluetooth connection without pairing

    Hi all,
i am trying to connect to a bluetooth device that does not manage pairing numbers.
I can do that with other laptops, windows xp  and a bluetooth Digicom usb key,
but i can't with my T420, windows 7 and the Lenovo bluetooth.
When i add the device, i choose "connect without pairing" but when i try to connect to the serial port of the device, i receive the message "allow a device to connect" and i am required for the pairing code !!
    Any suggestion?

The default pairing code will vary between products.
Common variants include 0000 and 1234.
It is best to consult the Bluetooth device's manual.

  • 5800 connectivity and other issues

I recently bought a 5800 xpressmusic phone. I am experiencing a series of issues with the phone .
The phone do not gets connected to the PC suite thru the USB cable ( CA 101) . It connects only thru bluetooth . I tried after re-installing the latest PC suite , still the PC do not recognizes the phone .
Also if the phone is connected to PC as " mass storage" it keeps on connecting and disconnecting ( every second a new pop up comes which goes after the window is opened ).
The 2 problem put together it seems the cable is alright , but still PC cannot recognize the mobile in PC suite mode.
Also I am finding the microphone is very weak . In loudspeaker mode the speach is not audible to the person at other end, till the phone is kept close in front of the face.
The network coverage also seems pretty low. In many places the network bar may appear full , but voice is crackling . Also GPRS do not get connected easily. Incidentally my old nokia 3100 connects well at the same place!!
Anybody can advice what can I do to solve these??

Are you using PC suite or OVI suite? OVI suite (I believe) is the correct one to use for the 5800 (it's the one that installs by default from the DVD in the box).
Does your other phone connect to the PC correctly, if not it may be your usb port, try another port and if that fails, try another computer.
If all else fails, take the phone down to your nearest nokia care point and get one of the engineers to have a look at it.

  • Connection and Keyboard Issues (since 10.5.5 update?)

Not quite the connection issues others are having, once Airport is connected, it stays connected. The issue is with initial connection. When I wake the Macbook up from sleep, I can't click to load anything on the internet/ in email for almost a full minute. If I do, or if mail tries checking for new email, whatever is attempting to load continues to attempt doing so for about 30 seconds or so, when it then tells me that I am not connected to the internet. Airport, however connects to the wifi just as quickly as ever (or, at least, it says it's connected). I just started noticing this issue the other day, around the time I updated to 10.5.5, so I can only assume it's from the update. I have not had any connection issues before this (the Macbook is about 3 months old).
The other issue I've noticed does not happen consistently. Once in a while, when I press the button to decrease screen brightness, the brightness decreases completely and the screen turns black. The other day, I opened the computer up, and the screen was "stuck" black. I couldn't get the brightness to increase. While trying to tap keys to "wake it up," at one point I heard a ding, as if there was an alert that I needed to click OK on or something. I ended up giving up and holding the power button down to shut down and reboot, and haven't had the problem again since.
I've searched the forums to see if others are having these problems, but all I can find is problems with frequent connection drops, and, like I said, I'm not have that issue.

    Help?
    This is very frustrating.

  • Bluetooth connection and PINs

Is it possible to send a PIN via Java to establish an encrypted connection with a bluetooth device?
We have a midlet that tries to establish a BT connection between a phone and a device. Right now, the phone prompts us for a PIN when we try to get an encrypted connection.
We would like to code the midlet to pass the PIN instead and bypass the phone's prompt.
JSR82 leads me to believe it is left to the BCC to handle the PIN. I'm hoping someone out there may have run into a similar situation and can let me know whether or not this is possible.
If it is possible, please provide and example of the code to establish the connection and pass the PIN.
    Thanks,
    Allen

    I have a similar problem:
I want to search and discover Bluetooth devices without the help of a vendor BCC. Can Java do this through Windows somehow?

  • Lion Server Admin, Server, connection and authentication issues.

I'm going out of my mind... I'd appreciate any help
    Mac OS X Server 10.7.2
Mac Mini Server (no optical drive.  dual hard drives) 2.66 C2D / 4GB RAM
So... I open Workgroup Manager, select menu: Server > Connect.  Then Enter:
    Address = Server.local
    User Name = Server Administrator
    and my password.
Press the Connect button and it successfully opens the Workgroup Manager window and I can edit users etc. all perfecty fine.
I can also confirm that the Server Administrator user has "administer this server" ticked on.
    Now the trouble begins...
I open Server (ie. the new Lion Server application).
It shows me the "Choose a Mac" window.  Two entries:
    1. "This Mac - Server"
    2. "Other Mac"
I click the first entry & it slides down the sheet for entering username and password.  I enter exactly the same details as above and the sheet shakes left and right, essentially behaving as if I'd entered the wrong password.  Despite the fact that it's the same password as above.
I try it from another machine as well, just to be sure, and I get the same result.
    Then I open Server Admin.
At some point recently, I recall having essentially the same problem.  An attempt to connect to the server shook the authentication sheet essentially suggesting wrong password.
More recently, Server.local now doesn't even show up in the Available Servers section.
If I try Add Server from the Server menu. Then Enter the same details above I get a  "Could not connect..." message.
So... I'm kinda baffled.  What on earth is going on?  The three different apps are telling me different things.  One works perfectly, one says it's running fine but I can't authenticate, and the other says it doesn't even exist.
For what it's worth, I've tried using Workgroup Manager (the one thing that will connect and authenticate) to change/reset the password for the Server Administrator user, but no matter what I set it to I'm still getting all the same results as above.
If anyone can give me any help here I'd be very grateful!!
    Thanks!
    David.

Is there really no one who can help me with this?
