  • HT201210 Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! Someone please help.

Ok so I'm trying to update my iPad, and it keeps "timing out." I got to the actual update process, and it failed and asked me to restore my iPad, but I just can't lose all of my apps and photos! I payed for a lot of my apps, and my photos are just too important. Someone please help!

If rhe apps and photos are that important you made sure that you took the steps in order to keep them safe in an event like this didn't you?
You did backup the iPad before you decided to update the iPad correct?
And you did transfer all of your apps and other purchases  into iTunes before you decided to update correct?
If you did, just restore the iPad and then restore from the backup at the end of fhe process and follow that with a sync with iTunes and you will lose nothing,
Now if you didn't do any of the precautionary steps ....

  • Testing Bluetooth connection between iPhone and MaxBook pro

    Hi everyone:
I'm testing the GKTank sample from the SDK for the purpose of learning how the Bluetooth connection can work between two iPhone/iPad devices. I do not have the second iPhone to test it with so at the moment all I have is my iPhone 4 and a MacBook Pro that runs GKTank app in a simulator.
But what happens is that when I fire both (the app on iPhone and on the simulator) the simulator always pops up a message that my iPhone was discovered (in the list for the GKPeerPickerController window) but my iPhone never does the same thing and its GKPeerPickerController window simply shows "Looking for other iPads, iPhones, or iPod touches..."
Can someone tell me why is that and if it is normal?

I get a similar result. I can initiate the game from the sim side and get an accept/decline on the iPhone4, but as soon as I accept the game ends on the sim side. Frankly, I didn't expect it to get that far.

  • How do I fix bluetooth connection between mouse and keyboard with iMac. iPhone won't connect to bluetooth either

Bluetooth on Mac os x won't work with keyboard, mouse or iphone.  Keyboard and mouse both have new batteries and go discoverable when switched on, i have gone into system setup and tried connecting.  It connects briefly with mouse then drops in and out of connection, keyboard does same, asking for passcode then no connection.  I'm lost... my phone can pick up keyboard, so i think it is bluetooth in mac.

    Go to ~/LIbrary/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
    Restart your Mac.
    Try re "pairing" the keyboard.
~ (Tilde) character represents the Home folder.
For Lion:   To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

  • Cannot establish Bluetooth connection between iphone4 and ipad2

I have an iphone4 which cannot connect via Bluetoooth with ipad2, even though I tried all that is said in Apple support , but still no success. Really cannot understand as my iphone4 connects to a Bluetooth ear piece which is of different make and these 2 piece's are from Apple but cannot establish a connection via Bluetooth. It's surprising. So please help and advice.
    thanks Guys

The iPhone is not designed to Bluetooth pair with a computer or an iPad except for personal hotspot (sharing the phone's cellular internet connection). It can use Bluetooth for Handoff/Continuity and for Keynote Remote but the devices are not paired. More information:  Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?

Basic question: Do you have a tethering plan with your carrier? It isn't automatically provisioned; you have to ask for it and pay extra with most carriers. See these tips from Apple:

  • How come when i use skype on my ipad air, it keeps dropping out? My bluetooth is always turned off also

So i have an ipad air and during the past month or so, the amount of dropouts when using skype has skyrocketed to at least 3 or more dropouts a day. It can't be my internet because whenever it disconnects i go to chrome to check if my internet is working. I've looked on a few websites and so far the only solution was to turn off the bluetooth. But the thing is, my bluetooth is always turned off.
Is there something i can do about this?

    Hi geminigay,
You state that your music plays at random times even if it isn't open. Also your earbuds are plugged in most of the time.
Does this happen if the earbuds are not connected?
Are your earbuds the ones with the remote and mic?.  If so, they can start the music playing even if the Music app is not running.
Use an Apple headset - iPhone
The Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic (iPhone 5 or later) and the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic (iPhone 4s) feature a microphone, volume buttons, and the center button, which lets you answer and end calls or control audio and video playback, even when iPhone is locked.
Use the center button to control music playback.
Pause a song or video:  Press the center button. Press again to resume playback.
Note that applies to the iPad as well.
See if the remote is being activated.
    Regards,
    Nubz

  • Bluetooth connection between iPhone and MacBook Pro

Is it possible to browse files on my iPhone from my MacBook Pro (MacBookPro3,1 Serial Number  W873325SX94, OS X 10.9 (13A603)) via Bluetooth?

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458

  • Bluetooth connection between 6230 and Tom Tom One

I use a Tom Tom One sat nav and I tried to pair my 6230 with it but for some reason they do not want to communicate.
I went through the procedures, correct settings on my mobile and let the sat nav do it's installation. Eveything seemed to go well and my sat nav said it was connected to my phone but when I tried it out there is no communication between them.
    Any help.

Presumably you didn't sort this out as there were no replies?
If you did sort it hot, how? I have a similar problem with my connections.

  • No connection between iMac and air-express time out default

My imac cannot support my airexpress, give the message time out

My own diagnosis is that the modem is not compatible with time capsule but I'd like to have a confirmation on this.
It would really help us if you could provide the manufactuer and model number of your modem.
it's possible that another user reading this post may have the same modem and be able to help, or we can check to get specifications and support documentation online if we know what you have. As of now, I'm afraid that we know nothing.

  • Need to establish Connection between CRM  and   Virtual Directories.

    Dear All,
I am working for Telecom project.
I have one requirement that we need to establish Connection between CRM and   Virtual Directories.
This is existing in Access management system.( SAP EP environment )
The basic requirement is, with  SAP EP environment we are integrating 8 different application. But for all this Application we have a one more system called Access management system (like Basis in Sap). This will validate the user access and BP(Business Partner ) data for users who logon to a different respective application. For all this applications Company data (Master Data) has to provide from CRM and the changes took place for Company data in CRM will be updated in to Virtual Directories .For this service we need to establish Delta mode connection between SAP CRM and Virtual Directories.
Which is existing in Access management system .
Do we have any standard connectors from SAP CRM to connect and who we can achieve this .
Please let us know..Certainly there will be a reward points
    Thanks & regards.

  • Do connections between Outlook and Exchange Server continue to sync without proper DNS?

    Hi there,
We were acquired by an other company that uses Office365.com, so we are moving accounts over from Intermedia, our existing provider, to your service. My question is this: If i point our MX records over to Office365, will we be able to work with the old calendar
and email items using the existing connection between Outlook and Intermedia Exchange? I understand that no new external mail will be delivered to the Intermedia accounts, but will we still have access to the existing items in the old mailbox as long as we
    have the Intermedia accounts?
My plan is to receive new mail at Office365.com while taking our time to copy over old emails from the Intermedia folder to Office 365 folders.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi,
According to your description, your accounts are moved from on-premise Exchange server to Exchange online server and you have the doubt about the availability of calendar and emails through the on-premise Exchange server.
However, since it’s related to Exchange online, to get more professional and quicker help, I recommend you post it on our Exchange online forum, as Ed said.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks,
    Angela Shi

  • ADSL Broadband keeps dropping out when trying to u...

Hi, hope someone can offer some advice please.
Our connection seems to have got a lot slower over the last few months (about 2.64 on a very good day) and now keeps dropping out when trying to use either the laptop or PS3. I have followed the advice on the self help guide and tried changing the ADSL filter, moved the hub away from the telephone, re-booting the hub and tried using it directly in the test socket and none of these have solved the problem. I have done a line test from work and it says there are no problems with the line??? I am getting really annoyed as we only have the phone line so we can use the internet so are paying over £40 a month for service we cant even use. I get the impression that as there are so many users on ADSL where I live (we dont have fibre optic yet) that it is too much for the exchange and that BT are upping peoples connections when they complain thus making other peoples worse (we had this problem about a year ago and complained and it was ok for a while)
Could this be true? Or am I just thinking too much in to it? And does anyone have any suggestions on how I could resolve the problem? I have had a bad experiance with being charged for an engineers visit in the past (eventually refunded) so would like to avoid having to get them involved if possible.
    Thanks in advance.

you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) http://speedtester.bt.com or http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9354/c/346,4740,5520 and post the results .
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
