Bluetooth connection to Jabra

I recently purchased a Jabra HSF 004 hands free device. I was able to connect to my iphone 4 and use it for hands-free calling. Yesterday the phone would not connect. Eventually I pressed "forget this device" and now my phone doesn't recognize the device.  Is there a way to restore the original setting so the phone will recognize the device when in bluetooth search mode?

Thank you - they van see each other now. I was not aware of this "pairing/discovery mode". On my Jabra BT500 it looks like two nested "c"s and it will bring the blue led on for some time. So now I can use the mic on the headset - the sound still goes through teh speaker on the PC but I will play around and see if I can fix that somehow. Thanks again for your help.

  • N73 and multiple active bluetooth connections

Hi couldn't find anything specific on this in the posts. N73 user manual (p82) says several bluetooth connections can be active at one time. I believe this is called a piconet. However, I can't connect to Jabra BT 205 headset and TomTom 500 simultaneously. Phone says disconnect from the other device if I want to proceed. Really need to get traffic info from TomTom whilst staying legal on the road with my bluetooth headset. All help much appreciated!

N73 is BT 2.0 + EDR, my 5500 is also sporting the same BT version, i found out that i can connect with my BT headset (also 2.0) and my e61 (BT v 1.2) simultaneously, however with my BT dongle (BT v. 1.1) i am having problem...
Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I need to get a BT 2.0 headset. Jabra BT 205 seems to be 1.1
well, the thing is that is my experience and it might be different with you, it is not necessarily be the correct way, i suggest you try some BT 2.0 headsets 1st to see how it goes...

  • Bluetooth - use of Jabra Earpiece and Artonecs U&I-03 hearing aid Loop

Read the post which mentioned the Jawbone, I too tried to connect the Jabra earpice I use with my phone to the iPod Touch, no luck. I was also trying to connect an Artonecs U&I-03 bluetooth hearing aid loopset. This allows a deaf person to have their mobile phone play back through their hearing aid.
My deaf brother wants to be able to hear his music again and I'd hoped that one way would be by using a bluetooth loopset that would connect to the eharing aid.
Unfortunately the IPod doesn't recognise it.
Anyone know whether an IPhone would recognise it and if it did would it send music output through the Bluetooth.
    Thanks

Information but not a solution. I have Phonak (Swiss) Naida (model) hearing aids with an iCom (loop) which the iPod Touch (4th generation) recognizes and will send the music on my iPod to my aids.
For some peculiar reason I cannot get the audio of Skype phone calls I initiate to also come through the aids. Apparently that is not feasible.

  • Samsung Convoy 3 bluetooth connection problem

I am having connection issues with my Samsung Convoy 3 phone and Jabra Drive bluetooth.  Initially the phone and device paired and connected great.  I could leave the car and reconnect to the bluetooth with out an issue.  Recently though, I have turned on the phone bluetooth then the Jabra Drive and they do not connect.  I finally get them to connect after playing with different combinations of connecting on the phone and turning off and on the Jabra Drive.  Although, it is not consistent on what combinations work.  I have had to turn off the Convoy 3 and turn it back on if there was still a connection failure.  Today, I had to turn the phone off and back on after the bluetooth functions were totally unavailable on the Convoy 3.  Are other people having bluetooth connection issues with the Samsung Convoy 3?  Is there a solution to this issue?

I have had the unit for just over 2 months and started having the issue about a month ago.  Also, there is something new whick occured.  When in the bluetooth menu on the phone trying to reconnect, the phone froze and rebooted (turned off and back on) by itsself.  I have not tried the phone with a bluetooth headset since I do not currently have one - I would only use one in my car so I opted for an in car unit.  My father has the same phone with the Jabra Drive unit and is experiencing the same problem.  Other people I know are using the Jabra Drive and do not seem to be having this same issue with their phone and bluetooth unit.  In the mean time, I will try to locate a bluetooth headset and see what happens.

  • Nokia C5-03/Win7 Bluetooth connectivity problem

When I am trying to connect Nokia Ovi Suite to my phone using Bluetooth, the pairing process seems to succeed, except the last phase: Then I receive a message that the connection did not succeed. The wizard gives then a possibility to try again with a different ID but it fails every time.
It is the same problem if I try to pair the phone from computer's Bluetooth icon in the notification area. However, with using my laptop with XP this succeeds. Therefore I believe that my phone is OK but there is something wrong with my Bluetooth software in Win 7 computer. Nokia Ovi Suite lists it:
    - Microsoft (Version: 6.1.7600, subversion: 16385)
When I start the computer, the Event Viewer shows the following error:
"The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it."
    Source: BTHUSB
    EventID: 5
The Microsoft's "Event Log Online Help" onthat window does not suggest anything.
However, this may be the actual reason for the problems but I do not know how to fix it.
I have tried Microsoft's "Fix it" tool but it did not fix this problem.
    Any ideas what to do?

    Still the same problem.
Now I installed the Nokia PC Suite and I tried to make a bluetooth connection to it.
Everything goes again well except after the last phase when I give the asked pin number in my phone, the computer ponders a while and shows then a window with the text that the phone cannot be verified.

  • How do I connect my Centro to the Internet via bluetooth over PC's Internet? Where is Centro's PPP Connection Type? How do I setup Login Script for bluetooth connection?

I am trying to set up bluetooth on the Centro to connect to the internet via my PC's internet.
    HotSync over bluetooth works successfully.
Computer specs: Toshiba P205-S6277; Bluetooth Stack v5.10.04 (currently using); Bluetooth Monitor v3.01 (to use Vista's built-in bluetooth)
I think I have narrowed my problem down to 3 things.
    (1) Finding Network Access properties (to allow connected devices to access the internet)
    (2) Finding Centro's Network Connection Type: PPP
    (3) Finding the correct Login Script to use
for (1) I think I've looked everywhere; found nothing on Network Access.
Checked control panel: only Bluetooth Local COM
Right-clicked bluetooth icon > Settings: File transfer, PAN Networking, PAN DHCP server, AV controls. Other bluetooth settings are for file transfer or object push. I don't see anything like this.
I'm stumped on (2). It seems as if palm removed this option under Centro's Advanced network settings .
Nearly all the forums that I read says to choose Connection Type: PPP.
    (3) Found 2 scripts that seemed would work. I don't know how it exactly works but it sounds workable.
    First script:
    Send: CLIENT
    Send: CLIENT
    Wait for: CLIENTSERVER
    End:
    Script 1 Connect Log:
    =======================================
    Connect Log
    S: client
    S: client
    R:
    Err: 0x121F   <<<netErrUserCancel b/c I canceled it.
    Not connected
    ========================================
I canceled it because the process would stay on "Signing In" then it automatically "Canceled" itself.
    Second script:
    Send CR:
    Delay: 1
    Send: CLIENT
    Wait For: CLIENTSERVER
    End
**UPDATE** I found on this forum (Reply # 3689) that the script is needed only if you are using Palm OS 4 or under. Centro uses Palm OS 5.49121. Can anyone support this?
Even without the script it has problems "Signing In".
I'm currently reading this site and trying out its decribed methods. I will update this thread when I get the results.
I'm using the Centro. And If anyone's been able to successfully connect to the internet on the Centro via a bluetooth connection to the PC WITHOUT 3rd party applications, please share.  If not, please share any ideas.
    Thanks!

I've been going at this for days, and have probably exhausted all the proposed solutions on the first 3 pages of various google searches. I'm getting the feeling that Vista users are pretty much SOL for the time being.
For the record, I just tried out a few of the solutions (mRouter & SoftickPPP) on XP and they work perfectly.

  • I have an IPad mini WiFi (not cellular) and an IPhone 5. I use the bluetooth connection between both devices when on the road. I downloaded a navigation system on my IPad using GPS positioning. Is Bluetooth OK to use GPS positioning on the IPad?

    Hi
I have an IPad mini WiFi (not cellular) and an IPhone 5. I use the bluetooth connection between both devices when on the road. I downloaded a navigation system on my IPad using GPS positioning. Is the Bluetooth connection working to use GPS positioning on the IPad using IPhone 5 as the hotspot?
    Thanks for your input

  • Bluetooth connection fails iOS 8.1

My iPhone5s cannot make a Bluetooth connectivity with any of my Macs(MBA mid-2013, iMac late-2012, MacPro) all running Yosemite 10.10. Prior to upgrading to Yosemite the same iPhone running on iOS 7 did make successful bluetooth connectivity. My iPhone5s is on 8.1. Surprising even though it cannot have connectivity, it sees and stay connected for a second or two and then will say "Not Connected". But the same phone connects with Blueant S4 handsfree Speakerphone - except that I have to make a connection each time. In the past, it used to connect automatically when I was in the range of my device.
Yes, I have tried reset PRAM, SMC resets on my Macs, powered OFF and ON my iPhone5s and even reset my NW connection. In addition, I have other iPhones in my family and none can make connection to Macs which run on Yosemite(tried 4s, 5 and even 6). But the same iPhones make successful BT on Macs running Mavericks and Mountain Lion(yes one MBP still exists). So I am guessing it is changes in Yosemite that is causing the problem. Because I am going through this problem - my family members who have Macs do not want to upgrade to Yosemite as they depend on BT connectivity for their external devices. I don't blame them, but sounds very silly to me that Apple messed up big time with BT connectivity. I see many reporting similar issues, but for many resetting PRAM and/or SMC they have been successful.
Any help would be appreciated. Again I am not referring to Handoff (which it is working for me) but I am interested in BT connectivity with Yosemite. This is important because external BT devices need to be connected(Headphones, Earbuds etc).

I went to the Apple store yesterday because I was having the same issue in my Honda Accord after I updated to iOS 8.1.1.  The very helpful rep there suggested that I go to Settings -> General -> Reset on my phone to reset my iPhone 5 General Settings.  She said that it's like an oil change for the phone that cleans out a lot of the junk.  After doing this, I was able to stream both my music and Pandora in my car again.
Note:  When you reset the General Settings, you will lose your phone password and background image (not a big deal).  You will NOT lose your pictures, video or emails.
    Hope that helps!

What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either.

  • New iMac and Bluetooth connection to mobile phone

    Hi,
I have a brand new iMac 21.5", 3.33 GHz here and I use a Motorola KRZR K1 mobile phone and the emitSMS widget, to send SMS messages.
But this widget can't detect the Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone.
I delete the bluetooth preferences, but this does't help.
On my MacBook with MacOS X 10.6.2 is no problem.
Anybody an idea, what's the problem?

    Hi again,
Can it be, that's a problem with the last Airport Client Update?
On my MacBook is this update not installed and there is no problem.

  • PC Suite Upgrade has disabled my bluetooth connect...

    Hello!
After using an older version of Nokia PC Suite that came with my model 6233 phone, I decided to upgrade to 6.82.22.0. The older version worked via Bluetooth without any trouble. With the new version, I can no longer make a Bluetooth connection to my phone.
Using the PC (running Windows XP Prof.) Bluetooth connectivity software, I can see and interact with my phone. (I am using an Acer USB Bluetooth device).
When I completly delete all pairings and pair via the Nokia PC Suite software, I can get to the point at which a pairing code must be entered. Upon entering the code and accepting via the phone. . .nothing happens. The button labeled 'next' remains gray and after waiting 20 minutes I am forced to 'cancel'. When I go back to try the process again, the phone is no longer visible. (Via the PC software, yes, but via the Nokia software, no.)
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I used "Add/Remove Programmes" in Control Panel. It might also be the "Cable Connectivity solution" that Software updater installs. so I uninstalled that - but that broke my cable connection, so I could be wrong.... Either way, I'm now able to connect via Bluetooth which is the main thing.
