I have a BB curve 8900 on Orange and I am usin Desktop V6.1 on Windows 7, 64 bit
When I search from my phone to connect via blue tooth it finds it but when I select it, the phone then asks for a numeric passkey (I can alsochange this to an alphanumeric passkey.....) but whatever I enter here as soon as I select enter or click the trackball the phone immediatly tells me that it cannot pair with <my computor name>
I have tried
"blank"
0000
1234
several random numbers, no difference....
I have also tried connecting with the computor directly with this method the comutor generated a 6 digit number for be and connected succesfully. but when i start the desktop software the phone does not appear inj any lists not can it now be found by the desktop software....... i have had to rermove the device and reboot to get the desktop software to find it again......
Can anyone asist?

  • If JAWBONE bluetooth headset cannot pair with my iphone

if Jawbone bluetooth headset cannot pair with my iphone but able to pair with another iphone, is that bluetooth issue with my iphone, thanks?

Possibly - but, are you certain you are properly putting the Jawbone in discoverable mode? You must do that to pair it with the iPhone. A Jawbone headset certainly can be paired with the iPhone. Have you tried pairing any other headset with the iPhone?

  • My Bluetooth was working a week ago but it doesn't show up or connect in my bluetooth list it just says still searching for devices, why won't my bluetooth connect or pair again?

The bluetooth showed up in the bluetooth list last week & now it won't even connect to the phone when i turn the bluetooth on to start pairing it just says Searching.

    Hey there Kaitlyn Turner,
It sounds like your bluetooth is not functioning correctly on the iPhone. I recommend the troubleshooting in this article for the issue you are seeing named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4562
Check that you are in range of the Bluetooth accessory with which you are trying to pair your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Most Bluetooth accessories have a range of approximately 30 feet.
On your iOS device, tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your device in the list. If your device says Not Connected, tap the name of your accessory to attempt to connect it.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and then on again.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is turned on and fully charged or connected to power.
Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is in pairing mode.1
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Bluetooth and locate the Bluetooth accessory you are currently connected to or attempting to connect to. Then tap and Forget this Device. Try to pair your Bluetooth accessory again.
Note: You may need to re-enter your Bluetooth accessory PIN if your accessory requires one. Some common PINs are 0000, 1111, and 1234.
Restart your Bluetooth accessory by turning it off and then on again1.
Update your device to the latest version of software. See how to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
If your Bluetooth accessory has upgradable firmware, check to see that you have the latest version1, 2.
And this troublehsooting from down the bottom if needed:
Bluetooth disconnects, intermittent connectivity, or unable to find
Move your iOS device closer to the Bluetooth accessory.
Position your iOS device and Bluetooth accessory in direct line of sight of each other. For example, move the Bluetooth accessory and iOS device to the same side of your body.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if performance improves.
Check for sources of potential interference and move both the iOS device and the Bluetooth accessory away from other electronic devices.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings.
If your device is still experiencing issues
If the steps above have not resolved the Bluetooth behavior you are experiencing, perform a software restore in iTunes.
If the issue persists after restoring your iOS device in iTunes, contact Apple for support and service options.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • T420 Bluetooth connection without pairing

    Hi all,
i am trying to connect to a bluetooth device that does not manage pairing numbers.
I can do that with other laptops, windows xp  and a bluetooth Digicom usb key,
but i can't with my T420, windows 7 and the Lenovo bluetooth.
When i add the device, i choose "connect without pairing" but when i try to connect to the serial port of the device, i receive the message "allow a device to connect" and i am required for the pairing code !!
    Any suggestion?

The default pairing code will vary between products.
Common variants include 0000 and 1234.
It is best to consult the Bluetooth device's manual.

  • Satellite T110 & Bluetooth connectivity - Cannot be found?

Hey people, having some issues with BT on my T110 (Windows 7).
Issue is I have already once paired & had internet on tethering with the iPhone but now I can't see the T110 from the iPhone OR a Nokia E71.
Downloaded & installed the latest stack last night and still no fix, went and dumped my iPhone completely to no resolution either (Yay 300mb of apps to download again :/ )
SO in a nutshell - T110 CAN see BT devices, Phones can see their own BT devices (Like car kits etc..), T110 CAN see phones but phones CAN'T see T110! (Don't have anything else BT to test on the T110).. It sounds so simple as if the Laptop has been set to 'hide' but I confirmed this numerous times last night that it is NOT set to hide BT.
Haven't installed anything new on the T110, have changed no settings until start of troubleshooting. The issue started because they just wouldn't connect, so I 'Forgot device' from my iPhone and tried to re-pair but they just wouldn't connect (The phone couldn't find the laptop).
Wow me with an awesome fix for this. PLEASE, need it for a big road trip coming up.

Alright, well I sorted it myself.
With backing everything up onto a 4GB SD card i went through and restaged it using the utility partition (Hold zero & power on, keep zero held down until you see it saying "Windows Loading Files"). I reinstalled W7 x64 and we now have bluetooth tethering via iPhone and BT mouse back. Now it's the hassle of setting up all my programs etc.. as this little guy was kinda my tool, with VNC, PcAnywhere etc.. on there, installing over the network is awfully slow, but not as slow as the reinstall & Toshiba config, took a couple hours!! - Glad we went out.
Anyway, all back up, now just setting up users profiles etc again. What a drama however, such a simple issue cannot be rectified without a major thing like a complete format & reinstall. Effort++ but I hope at least this may help people in the future..
Now it's down to finding out why the T110 TURNS OFF when you click RESTART on the start menu and it'll be right as rain!

  • Bluetooth connection or pairing issue

I can't get my plantronics device to be found by my iphone 4s.

Check the manual, either the paper one you received with the headset or an online one, however it generally involves holding down the answer button for a short period of time until the light flashes red and blue.

  • Cannot pair iPhone4 (iOS 7.1) with Macbook air (iOS 10 yosemite); they do see each other but will not connect via bluetooth

cannot pair iPhone4 (iOS 7.1) with Macbook air (iOS 10 yosemite); they do see each other but will not connect via bluetooth

That is because they do not generally pair. What is it that you are trying to do by connecting them via Bluetooth? If you are referring to AirDrop or continuity, then all you need to do is have Bluetooth turned on, they do not pair.

  • I cannot get my Iphone 5S to pair with my Bluetooth connection on my vehicle

The Bluetooth connects but continually searches to pair

have you unpaired your previous phone from your A7 bluetooth?  have you placed the A7 in discovery mode?

  • Bluetooth: Cannot pair MacBook Pro 15" (early 2009) and Nokia cell phones

When I try to pair my Nokia cell phone (E65) with my new MacBook Pro 15", the bluetooth assistant hangs after the input of the pairing code. I tried another Nokia cell phone in addition (N70), but had the same issue.
When I initiate the pairing by the phone, then the pairing process seems to be successful, but I still cannot use the bluetooth connection with the phone afterwards (e.g. browsing files on it, 3G internet connection). The connection becomes established for a few seconds, but then the phone is being disconnected.
I never had these problems using my old black MacBook. It still works when I try today. So it must be an issue of the new MBP.
I successfully paired the New MBP with my old MB via Bluetooth - could transfer files for example without any problems. Therefore I think that the Bluetooth hardware (Broadcom) seems to work properly.
The MacBook Pro 15" has the Broadcom chipset, while the old black MacBook has the Cambridge Silicon Radio chipset. Maybe there's an incompatibility between Broadcom and Nokia (?)
    Any ideas? Thanks!

I also have an early 2009 15" MBP and am experiencing bluetooth pairing problems. When I first started this computer, I successfully paired my Sonyericsson HBH-DS980 headphones. While using this connection, I accidently lost the connection by moving out of range. After this, the headphones would not re-connect. I deleted the headphones from the MBP bluetooth configuration and tried unsuccessfully to discover and re-pair. I also have another pair of SE HBH-DS220s. They initially paired and worked properly with my MBP and again after loss of connection, would not re-connect or re-pair. I do not have this problem with my first generation MBP so I know it must be something with the bluetooth system in my new MBP. I don't know anything about Mac operating systems, but I bet there is some log file somewhere that is logging a bluetooth problem and thereby locking out that type of device. I would really appreciate a MAC guru's help.
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi
Thanks for the support but I had already tried this . Again did it as you advised. Still not able to connect the ipad mini with Bluetooth.
Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.
    Please help.

  • I cannot pair iPhone 4 bluetooth to Windows 7

I am having windows 7 and i cannot pair the bluetooth. someone help me please....

That's correct. The iPhone does not support the file transfer protocol. The only supported option with a computer is tethering using BlueTooth. The only other supported connections are for hands-free and A2DP devices.

  • I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth.

I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth. It is recognising the devices but 'connection unsuccessful'

That is correct.  Macs do not pair to iPhones, iPads, etc.
However, pairlng is not required to get Handoff to work.  Both devices must have Bluetooth on, but they need not (indeed cannot) be paired.
OS X Yosemite: Pick up where you left off with Handoff
You must be using supported devices:
OS X Yosemite: supported devices for Handoff, Instant Hotspot, Phone Calling, SMS, and AirDrop

  • Cannot unpair Bluetooth connection

    Hello,
I have a VW Golf with Bluetooth connectivity. I've used it without issues for a couple of months already with my Droid Charge, until yesterday. I was on a call and pressed the home button on the phone when the call dropped and Bluetooth stopped working correctly. My car claimed that it could see my phone, but that a "connection is not possible" with it. I tried resetting my phone and turning Bluetooth on and off to no avail. I attempted to unpair my phone from my car to see if resetting the link would help, but I found that I cannot unpair my Charge from "VW Phone." Every time I long press "VW Phone" to unpair the connection, nothing happens, and the phone remains "paired." How can I unpair my phone? Or better yet, how can I get Bluetooth working again with my car?
    Thanks!

    Hi Petrivka,
I use a Bluetooth device constantly and I can relate to your need for your Bluetooth devices to pair and work as expected all the time. First let me address your concerns about how to unpair your devices. To unpair your devices simply turn Bluetooth off; from the home screen, sweep your finger downward to display the notification panel then touch Bluetooth to turn feature off. More on Bluetooth pairing/unparing can be found on page 80 of your User Guide.
As for the proper pairing and connectivity with your VW Golf, please check first for full compatibility of your car with your mobile phone at this LINK. Keep in mind that while most Bluetooth devices will have some level of connectivity due to the Bluetooth technology they share, only devices confirmed as fully compatible by your car manufacturer will perform correctly with your car.
If you prefer, please post your car model details and I will check for full compatibility for you.
