Bluetooth Connectivity Problem with IOS 8

When I pair my iPad Air with a Bluetooth device, the sound on that device comes through at a low volume and you cannot increase the sound volume.  I never had this problem before I downloaded to IOS 8.  I called Apple Support last night and spoke with a supervisor but the problem could not be resolved.

I have a similar fault with my Lexus ct200h fsport, updated to ios 8.1.1 on my iphone4s 64, and the bluetooth sometimes disconnects during calls then re-connects again (by this time the person on the end has hung up)  .but bluetooth audio works fine. very frustrating!!

  • Bluetooth connectivity problems after iOS 5 install

Like may others who upgraded to ios 5 and found it was full of problems I to had issue with my handsfree in the car.
I have a Clarion unit and it worked fine although I could not download contacts and it would not list tracks playing from the phone however it did receive, make calls and do what handsfree is meant to.
I downloaded ios5 yesterday and like thousands of other people I found that although the Clarion unit connects with the iphone as soon as a call comes in or you try to make an outgoing call it would lose the bluetooth connection and revert to the call being continued on the iphone.
Having tried many different things to fix it I eventually pressed the on/off button together with the large button with the square on it until the Apple icon appears on the screen and the phone switches off and reboots. When you press the buttons first it will ask if you want to switch off, keep pressing the buttons until the icon appears and the phone switches off properly and reboots.
I went out to try it and so far so good it seems to work, hopefully this will resolve the issues.
Another problem I had was my iphone seemed to thinl I had headphones plugged into it and although you could make a call and the receiving end could hear you, you couldnt hear them.
A visit to the Apple store 35 miles away and 3 technicians, several reboots, a complete wipe and reinstall and taking the phone away to "have a proper look" and nothing!
The best they could do is give me a new iphone at nearly £200. I declined.
Later that evening my son was playing with the phone and took a picture and guess what? It no longer thought that headphones were connected!
It would seem Apple has slighlty lost its way in making easy to use performance systems. When issues arise in updates it has produced, Apple completely ignores them and lets down thousands of loyal customers resulting in their integrity being severely damaged.
Its not all about flooding the market with Apple products, its about selling to new and retaining existing customers so they reinvest again. If they continue to ignore problems and what customers are complaining about then how long does it take until people grow tired of Apple technology that doesnt work and buy elsewhere?

I have noticed the same thing! Any suggestions???  I also notice that when I uncheck the boxes for not including music videos and voice memos the size of the music folder increases, and it does it so much so that I exceed the space on my phone.

  • Wifi / browser connection problem with IOS 6

With IOS 6 and iPad 3 or Iphone 4, I can't connect to my enterprise wifi anymore.
I connect to the network without any problem. But afterward, within Safari where I'm have to put login and password (trapeze networks btw), it blocks on "submitted" and don't proceed further.
While with IOS 5.1.1 it worked perfectly and with my Blackberry, I don't have any problem today. I suppose a IOS 6 bug...
I tried to put the proxy http on auto.
I tried to reboot the idevices.
    Both without any improvement.
    Any idea?

These steps/ workarounds were defined as follows for the difficulties experienced with IOS6 clients.  These have been tested using Juniper / Trapeze MSS software version 7.6.x and above
    1.  Set web-portal ssl-mode <none/full>
Was to set the ssl mode to none or full(both work OK for the IOS6 devices)
Since there are concerns with the security, please try if the ssl-mode turned to full brings a change.
    2.  Set web-portal force-html-login mode disable
This command requires users to login through a Web portal page. The current implementation of Web portal on the Juniper WLC/Trapeze MX includes specific handling of Apple's iOS devices. When a request for for this URL is sent, the WLC responds with a spoofed HTTP response including the anticipated 'Success' page contents. This was implemented as a workaround to an earlier problem with older versions of iOS. In the current iOS, if the   requesting device does not get the anticipated response the iOS device. automatically opens a Web browser interface and then the web-portal login page.
Juniper engineering are anticipating the fix on the next maintenance release of the MSS.

  • Magic Mouse Bluetooth connection problems with Mac OS X Lion

I've a problem with my Magic Mouse on  bluetooth since I've updated my Mac to Lion, it's disconnecting too often. How to fix it ?

It might be a physical battery connection problem. The solution was already described by this article:http://macs.about.com/od/tipstricks/qt/Fix-Magic-Mouse-Disconnects.htm
Placing a trimmed piece on paper that was cut from a business card between the batteries and the battery-enclosure lid helps hold the batteries down firmly. This eliminates the tiny freeplay that allows a physical battery terminal disconnect when the mouse is jolted.

  • Bluetooth Connection Problems with Acura MDX

My DroidX has been connecting for almost 2 months now just fine to my MDX.  Today it won't connect at all.  It sees it but it just won't connect. I tried rebooting the DroidX.  That didn't help. I have no idea what changed.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi,
This has happened with all my android phones (Eris,Ally, DroidX) with my JagXF.  Sometimes rebooting the phone helps, other times I have to delete the phone from my car and re-pair the devices. I really think  Android has a problem with bluetooth though as it didn't happen with my Samsung Omnia and since it happened with 3 different droid phones, what  u think?  Hope this helps!!

  • BMW bluetooth connection problems with the iphone 4s

My 2010 BMW 528 and iphone 4s are not working properly together. About half my outgoing calls from the car leave the recipient unable to hear my voice. Consequently they hang up. If I call them back a second time they usually hear me just fine. The pairing generally seems solid. I receive calls normally and both parties hear each other on all incoming calls. It's just the outbound calls that dont work reliably. Apple is trouble shooting (e.g., a iOS5 reinstall is pending) but I'm not sure (nor are they) that this will fix it. Some thought that there may be a basic imcompatibility between the two devices. Many report that the 3g and 4 models pair and work fine with BMW's. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I have the same problem in 2010 BMW 528i and iPhone 4S. I reduced how often this happens by turning off syncing of contact on the iphone. But it still happens daily. The audio is not diverted from the phone to the car.
Really, really hoping that this gets fixed with iOS 5 update soon.

  • Bluetooth connection problems with TomTom Go910

Although my TomTom Go910 finds my 5800 it keeps saying that there is no answer from phone 'look at your phone'.  Anyone got any ideas what's wrong as my previous Nokia had no such problems?

I have the same problem with both our TomTom 500 and 530.  Really annoying as our olf Nokia 6300 worked with both including SMS.  The 5800 often has to be 're-booted' to connect and then most of the time does not work.

    Windows XP Pro SP2
    Nokia PC Suite 6.5.12
    Microsoft BT Stack 5.1.2600.2180
WIDCOMM BT Stack 3.0.1 build 803
    Can any one help please??

You could try uninstalling the Widcomm Bluetooth and relying only on Microsoft + PC Suite 6.6.18 from http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite

  • Bluetooth connection problems with Dell Axim x51v

I have a Dell Axim x51v and it has Windows Mobile v5.0 on it. I am trying to connect the Axim to my MacBook via Bluetooth, but am experiencing the problem where the devices get paired, but are not connected. Infact, when I add the device, they get connected for about 10 seconds, then they disconnect and remain this way. I do have my MacBook firewall turned off and I enabled Bluetooth sharing. Can anyone help with this?

Does anyone know how to sync a Dell Axim that's running Windows Mobile v5.0 to a MacBook that's running Leopeard? I tried doing this with Bluetooth and USB via an application called "The Missing Sync" from MarkSpace and neither of them seem to work. Please help with this if anyone knows how to do it.

  • Bluetooth Connection Problems With MacBook Air

I recently purchased a bluetooth speaker with plans to use it for both my computer and my iPod Touch 5. I had no problems connecting the speaker to my iPod, but for some reason my MacBook Air will not pick up the signal from the speaker.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to fix this problem?

    Thank you Linc,
I have tried disconnecting my iPod from it, but am still having trouble connecting my MacBook to the speaker.
    Do you have anymore suggestions?

  • Bluetooth connection problems with Jabra

Eversince I bought the Jabra Revo wireless headphones I had problems connecting them to my Macbook 15 Retina. When I get it connected it doesn't play the sound. When I disconnect it I get this message
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/e6kj8bdticdq7p1/Screenshot%202014-05-05%2013.34.49.png
The same happens with my Jabra solemate speaker. Most of the times it doesn't work but sometimes it connects and plays perfectly
I updated the Jabra firmware on both devices. They work flawlwssly with my Iphone 5s and with the Ipad Air.
Is there any way to update/repair the bluetooth drivers on my mac? I'm on OSX Mountain Lion.
    Thank you!!

    There are no "bluetooth drivers."
Try resetting the PRAM and SMC - might help, cannot hurt.
I would also contact the third-party device manufacturer (since the problem seems to be related to their devices).

  • I am suddenly having Bluetooth connection problems with my 3G

I have an Iphone 3G, I have had it for a while (not quite upgrade time) and I have been using a Samsung WEP 490 with it since the day I got it.  All of the sudden within the last 2-3 weeks, my bluetooth will disconnect and reconnect repeatedly from the phone even when they are side by side.  I thought that maybe the bluetooth was dying, so I went and bought a new one (different brand and iphone compatible it said) But i had the exact same problem... only worse!  Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?  I don't know what changed.  The last time I tried to software update on my iphone it said I was up to date so I'm not even sure if it is a software issue.  My sister is having the same problem having her phone connect to her car (also all of the sudden and same phone).  I am running 4.2.1  Is there a way to find out when that install took place so I can see if it coincides with the problem?

    Restore w/ micro-usb cable.

  • Data Connection Problems with IOS 4.2.1

Upgraded to 4.2.1 and since then, I get numerous errors connecting to the web (3G), accessing e-mail and sending text messages even though the phone indicates 3G service with 5 bars. I also keep getting a message box saying that the voicemail password is incorrect and asking me to enter it, even though I've already done this more than a dozen times. Is anyone else seeing this?

    Hi,
I've been haveing the same issues after upgrading to 4.2.1.
shortly after unlocking the iPhone from sleep mode and then opening safari, it'll hang for ages when attempting to open webpages.
for the record, i have tried resetting network settings, rebooting, Hard rebooting (holding home and sleep toghther), i have done a full backup and restore and checked it before and after restoring from the latest backup, there was also an O2 carrier settings update and i have tried it with and without doing the carrier update, i have contacted apple and gone through the whole 'reset settings' procedure again with them, i have gone to an Apple store and had my iPhone replaced and have restored it.
all this and nothing had helped it, in fact now it;s hangning more than ever.
I'm using an iPhone 4, but have seen it happen on a 3GS running 4.2.1.
i've just been to the O2 store to get a new sim card after the Apple genious suggesting i do so.
my opinion is that the Apple update 4.2.1 has a bug causing the 3G connection to become erratic, its definately not a hardware issue, because i have seen it happen on more than one device, and it cant be a network issue becaue ive had it happen in many different locations.
    Most frustrating!!

  • Does ios6 resolve iphone4s Bluetooth connectivity problems with Clarion car stereos?

Clarion cx609 and iPhone 4s don not seem to be compatible.  It pairs momentarily and the disconnects, or will not auto connect after car is turned off and restarted.  Is this an A2DP issue with IP4s?  So frustrated, this seems like a simple thing.  Supposed to be plug and play right?
    Any help would be great.

I have a similar issue and Apple is completely ignoring it.
