Bluetooth device delete

just synced new iPhone 6 plus,  I don't know what I did or how it happened, I have my iPad mini and old Iphone 5 in list of devices in Bluetooth
I can't seem to delete the devices.  Can anyone help?

It's a bit involved. I had done it last August.
Had the same problem of old device name appearing in the Bluetooth File Exchange. Tried the following….
1. Stop Bluetooth.
2. Went to the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file in ~\Library\Preference folder.
3. Back up the preference file to Desktop.
4. Open the file with Property List Editor and there is a “FavoriteDevices” array that list your current favorite Bluetooth devices. Further down, you should see another key “RecentDevices” that list current & old devices. Match the FavoriteDevices and RecentDevices and remove the “extras” from the RecentDevices list.
5. Restart Bluetooth.
The old devices should be removed from list when you restart Bluetooth File Exchange.

  • Bluetooth devices state they are disabled since upgrade to 10.2.1.537

    Hi
We have had (including myself) several users in my company that have upgraded their devices to this latest software.
Since the upgrade we can no longer use Bluetooth devices.  We are getting the message that Bluetooth has been disabled by your administration.
Our BB10 devices connect via ActiveSync and we do not have any policy via ActiveSync dealing with Bluetooth.
Who do we correct this "Policy" that doesn't exist that is blocking Bluetooth use?
    Solved!

I can pair to my vehicle (MB E350) but when I turn off the radio or restart the car it will not pair.  It shows profiles in both phone and car but they will not pair.  I have had to delete both bluetooth profiles on device and vehicle and start the pairing process again.  This happened when I upgraded 10 10.2.1.537.  I have opened a case ID 27343869 and was given a phone number 877-255-2377 to folow up.  They did work diligently with me yesterday (over two hours) to reset my Z10 back to factory setting but it retained the latest 10.2.1.537 software.  This did not fix the problem.  I will work with them to downgrade to the previous version. Or see if they develop a fix on this upgrade.  It's a problem.  I suggest you tag onto my case ID and continue to push.
I have checked with my IT group and our policy setting for Bluetooth has always been set to allow.  Could this issue only be with MB cars?  I am on the phone with Blackberry now working through this case.  I will update as I hear.

  • How to unhide a Bluetooth device?

By mistake I hide a Bluetooth device because I had some trouble to establish the connection. How can I unhide this device? I did not find any option.

I don't have anything that equates to "Hide" when I look at the bluetooth screen for a device on my phone in English.
The top option on the page is "Forget this Device". That sill effectively delete the pairing.
I think you need to re-pair your phone with whatever you're trying to connect to.

  • Can't remove bluetooth device in file explorer.

I had an LG LS970 Phone paired with my windows 8.1 HP touchsmart PC. After I uninstalled the phone under bluetooth devices, it keeps showing up on my File Explorer. When I double click on it, an FTP No Response dialog box pops up. When i right click
on it, it does not give me an option to delete it. How do i get rid of it? I am also trying to pair my iPad with my PC but its not working. I think this might be a problem. Please help.

    Hi,
According to your description, it must the driver which relate with LG-LS970 no uninstall completely.
First of all, please check Programs in Control Panel, make sure the Bluetooth related driver removed completely.
Seondly, Access to Device Manager, check is it had Bluetooth device driver, if so, uninstall or disable it.
Thirdly, Open Registry, CTRL+F, search LG-LS970, if it found any value, delete it.

  • How to connect miss configured bluetooth device.

    Hi Support Community,
I've recently purchased a Play Station 3 bluetooth controller (DUALSHOCK3 "CECHZC2H") from a Japanese web store for a very cheap price.
I don't have a PS3, but I read few articles to make me believe it would work on my Mac Mini out of the box.
However, the cheap DUALSHOCK3 would not connect the way tutorial tells me it would.
Instead, it prompts me to type few keyboard keys to authorize the device. ( Which of couse can't be done on DUALSHOCK3 controller )
I came to the conclution that the controller may be a knock off.
But, hey! It still is a bluetooth controller! All it needs is a way to reconfigue it self to be recognised as a "HID game controller" instead of a keyboard and knock off controllers were made to work in PS3s.
All it should need is a bit of reconfiguration...
And so, I was wondering if there is a way to make a Mac to think the bluetooth device is a HID game controller.
    Any suggestions would be helpful!
    Thanks!
    My Macs:
-Macbook (Late 2009 Aluminum) OSX Lion
-Mac Mini (Mid 2011) OSX Lion
    What I tried so far:
    -Turn on and off Bluetooth
-Delete and reconnect the device from "System Preferences -> Bluetooth"
-Connect a USB bluetooth receiver a had from 2008
-Edit "com.apple.Bluetooth.plist" (settings get overwitten when the device gets connected)

    hi,
i am not sure if i can help, but i think that if you use a programe such as gamepad companion to map the keys of your controller to adjust to your needs for your games. Because i never tried it, and that i can't, i suggest you should find a way to try if gamepad companion can solve your problem before actualy buying it...
i think that gamepad companion only works with hid devices... we should consider that, if your controller isn't compatible with gamepad companion, i suggest you use an other program to map the keys to the device
    hope it helps

  • Trouble with Bluetooth Devices

I have a MacBook Pro 13" from late-2011.  Recently I have decided to use Bluetooth headsets instead of wired earbuds because I tend to forget they are in my ears and when I get up, they are yanked out of my ears, hurting me and potentially pulling my notebook off of something.  I had an LG Tone before getting my current Motorola S11-FLEX HD headset.  I switched because of the problems I have been having with Bluetooth but switching has not solved the issue.
My biggest problem with my Bluetooth headsets is that the audio stutters and then de-syncs with any video.  The de-sync can be as bad as a full second.  I'll see the video's actions before I hear them.  The de-sync also affects the responsiveness of controls.  After I give a command, the audio will continue to play for however long the de-sync is before the command is performed.  It's like it's making up for the lost time.  The only solution I have come across is turning off the device, then turning it back on but that only works some of the time.  Usually, I have to turn it off and then on again two or three times before the de-syncing issue disappears.  I have no idea the cause as my LG Tone works to specifications with devices that belong to other people.  I have found that moving my head in a certain direction will cause the de-sync.  Sometimes, it's leaning back; other times, it's tilting my head.  It's as if the Bluetooth field is planar and I'm jumping out of the plane.
Another issue is the distance I can be from my device.  My Bluetooth headsets boasts being able to function perfectly as far as 30 feet for one headset but moving even 5 feet will cause the previously mentioned de-syncing if the audio is playing.  If I pause the audio, I can move about 10 feet.  After I move 10 feet, when I press play, the de-sync appears.  It renders the function of being wireless to being useless.  I wanted to Bluetooth so I didn't have to pause, take off my device, do what I need to do, and before coming back, putting on the device, and resuming play, hoping that nothing has gone wrong to cause a de-syncing issue.
A third issue I have is that sometimes, while listening to some audio of some kind, another program will make a noise causing the audio to cut out.  My notebook or the web browser is not aware that audio is no longer playing.  It's as if the new program has muted the original audio.  The only cure: turning off the device and turning it on again and hoping it's working.
The last issue I can think of is that when I turn my notebook off for any reason, all Bluetooth devices are forgotten causing me to go through the hassle of repairing the devices again but many times, the repairing process fails and despite being on and not paired to anything else, my notebook is unable to pair unless I turn both the device off and my notebook's Bluetooth off before turning both back on.
Has anyone run into issues like this? If so, does anyone have any recommendations on how to correct the problem? The problem is on my notebook side as the devices work fine with other products.  The LG Tone could be used across the house when it was attached to my father's Kindle Fire and when attached to my iPhone 5, I could walk 20 feet with doors and concrete between me and the device before any issues began (both devices had trouble with my iPhone but pausing usually fixes the issue so I don't care).  Please, I need some advice and help.

    Some details missing.
I have a Pioneer DEH-P7000BT. On telephone settings, everything OK.
When I want to sync to my Audio Bluetooth, I hear the sound in slow motion :-)
I have to delete the Bluetooth device on the radio, and re-syncing on Audio Devices and everything fine.
    Same thing all the time.
When I had iOS 3.1.3 on my iPhone 3G, everything was OK.
I can't find Firmware Update for my radio.

  • Audio problem after disconnecting bluetooth device

    Hi All,
I tried to setup a bluetooth headset with my computer a while back and have since abandoned that idea (which i'm okay with).
Now though, my iChat won't send the audio to the computer's speakers.
What setting do i need to change to get this working again?
    I've:
    - deleted the bluetooth headset from my bluetooth devices
    - tried to make sure the settings for AIM and iChat in my sound preferences were set to built in. My AIM setting is 'custom' and i don't seem to be able to change it.
    - checked iChat prefs for any setting that could control this. I saw a posting on the web that indicates an output drop box in the AV prefs but i don't have that (and i don't have a camera hooked up to my machine.
Anyone have any advice for me?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that iChat won't send the audio to the computer's speakers. What audio?
    Things to try:
    1) Zap the parameter RAM by holding down the Command-Option-p-r keys (four keys) at startup until you hear the startup chime ring three times.
    2) If you're using the built-in speakers, try using external speakers or a USB headset.

  • How do I rebind a bluetooth device fails?

  • Managing multiple bluetooth devices at home (permanently disconnect some)

Hi. Small apartment. Two rooms. Both have iMacs, and a wireless keyboard and wireless trackpad respectively.
So 2 iMacs, 4 bluetooth devices.
My iMac in my room keeps picking up the bluetooth keyboard and trackpad from the next room.
I keep "disconnect"ing the ones I do not need (by guessing, because their name shows up the same).
But the computer stupidly keeps switching them on again.
How can I permanently tell my iMac to ONLY connect itself to my keyboard and trackpad which are 10 inches from it, and NOT to connect to those that are in the next room?
    Thanks!

System Preferences/Bluetooth - hover the cursor over the keyboard/trackpad you want to delete and an x should appear on the right edge.

  • How can I reconnect to a ignored bluetooth device?

    Hello community,
I have the following problem: I have ignored one bluethoot device on my iPhone. Now I need this device again, but the iPhone can not find the bluetooth device. It will not be displayed. Is there a way to show these "ignored devices" again?
I would be very grateful for a tip

    Hallo Community,

    Hello Toby,
your iDevice can´t ignore a bluetooth device completely. If your device is using the wrong bluetooth device, you can ignore it.This only prohibites the "auto connect". The Bluetooth device is still found,if it is within reach.
My problem was that I was not able to connect to my bose sound system. I could solve the problem. I have ignored all bluetooth connections on my iDevice and I then deleted the "Device List" on my Bose system. Since then, the two Bluetooth devices can connect without any problems.
    I hope I could help...

  • Iphone4 is not discovering bluetooth devices

My Iphone4 will not discover any bluetooth devices. It used to connect to my car other iphones but now it wont. Ive updated to IOS5.1, I've reset, restored, tried various things recommended by O2 and Apple support and finally the Apple store replaced my phone but I still cannot connecting to any bluetooth devices. My husband who has exactly the same Iphone can connect to all our bluetooth devices and I suspect its some setting that I need to change.
    Please help!

You probably need to delete the pairings and re-pair the devices. The device you want to pair with must be in discoverable mode. Consult the manual for the device to find out how to do this.

  • Can`t connect to bluetooth devices with iphone6

When I go into Bluetooth, the onlty devices that show are my other Iphone and Ipad.  Can`t connect to anything else as it doesn`t show up.

I Am having the same issue, and it looks like its an iPhone 6 thing. I connect my phone to my car stereo via Bluetooth, and my iPhone 4 and 5 worked perfectly. My 5 is even running iOS 8 and has no problem. I got my iPhone 6 yesterday and Bluetooth cannot connect. It can't even see any Bluetooth devices out there, while my 5, running alongside it can. I set up my phone via my iCloud backup, so I assumed maybe there are old settings in there from the 5, so I deleted network preferences. No luck. It also does not connect to wifi unless forced. What is wrong? I am disappointed in the quality of both ios8 and iphone6. They remind me of flaky android devices.       Any suggestions??

  • TS3581 Iphone 4 wont discover bluetooth devices ie. my car

Out of the blue my iphone 4 has stopped connecting with bluetooth devices.  I removed my car builtin bluetooth out of my phone and took my phone out of the car's system.  It was synced to the car's system but just stopped working.  Car is brand new 2013 Ford Explorer & I'm sure it's not the car.  I've tried to add the phone but it just spins and says discoverable but does nothing.  This is why I'm sure it's the phone!  It won't discover any bluetooth device. I have shut off my phone, reset my phone, made sure my phone was charged, deleted things that could be taking up to much memory etc.  My phone software is current @ iOS 6.1.3
    Please help!!!!
