Bluetooth device panel not saving devices

Hello everyone,
I have an original Macbook Pro (Dual Core 1) and I have a little bluetooth issue.
First of all, I have a logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Both have been working correctly in windows for several months. Just recently both stopped working.
I removed both devices and am attempting to readd them; here's the problem:
I am able to complete the bluetooth setup wizard successfully, and my Logitech Travel Mouse appears correctly, but my mouse will not track. If I click ok on the window and reopen the bluetooth settings, my mouse is gone.
I'm running Windows XP professional fully updated to service pack 3. I did not recently update (unless it was a security update), I have been running SP3 for quite awhile. It really seems that Windows is unable to access or modify my settings for Bluetooth.
I have also noticed that under Services there's a button that says "Use drivers for keyboard/mouse HID". This box is unchecked, but when I try to check it I get the message "Access Denied".
Any thoughts?

Oh, and I should mention the mouse and keyboard both work fine when I boot into Mac OS X.

  • Bluetooth device is not listed in Windows mobile device center

    Hi,
I installed the latest Vista Bluetooth Driver on my Notebook (P100 426) and I even get a connection with my cell phone; unfortunately I'm not able to use this connection with windows mobile device center. If I click on the Bluetooth icon in the control panel I don't see the bluetooth device of my notebook.
    Any suggetions?
    Sascha

Vista Mobile Device Center support is currently not included. It should be implemented in one of the coming versions.

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • I'm not able to pair my iPad with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I was able to do this on my original iPad. I was having a problem on an unrelated matter, and the Apple store replaced it with a new device. Previously, all Bluetooth devices worked fine;

I'm not able to pair my iPad via Bluetooth with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I recently brought my iPad to the Apple Store for an unrelated problem, and they replaced it with a new device. The old device had no problem pairing with any of my Bluetooth devices. I'm only haveing the problem with my new device. I was able to pair it with my Apple wireless keyboard, but not the mini-Boombox. I think I've done everything that I've read in other forum posts: I've toggled the Bluetooth setting on and off; I've reset the iPad a couple times; I've turned off and on the mini-Boombox; I've recharged the mini-Boombox. What am I missing here, and how can I fix this?

  • I've found two bugs in iOS 7. 1) declined calls does not appear as missed calls on the lock screen/notification centre. 2) when bluetooth is enabled from control center, it does not connect to an already paired bluetooth device

I've found two bugs in iOS 7:
    1) declined calls does not appear as missed calls on the lock screen/notification centre - iOS 7.0.2.
    2) when bluetooth is enabled from control center, it does not connect to an already paired bluetooth device automatically - iOS 7.0.

  • Bluetooth devices not finding or connecting to iPhone 5 after update to iOS 6.1.3?

Is anyone else having this problem? This is also happening on my ipad 4th gen. Anyone have a solution for this? It is very frustrating!

I figured it out. On the device(s) that I was trying to connect there is a function on the device that makes it discoverable by your iPhone/iPad. Some devices have an actual button that is labeled "connect" on the bottom or in an inconspicuous place on the device. Others can activate this function by long holding the action button (like that on a Bluetooth headset) for 5+ seconds until the device goes into "discover" mode. Then your iPhone/iPad should be able to find the device and you can connect. If this does not work sometimes hard resetting the actual Bluetooth device will fix the problem. You will have to research your specific device as each one has a different sequence to accomplish this. I hope this helps!

  • ThinkPad W540 - Win7 - Bluetooth device not recognized by Windows 7 - REALTEK not supported OS !!

In my Device Manger there are three devices that are working properly the are:
Bluetooth Peripheral Device - Not Installed
    Bluetooth L2CAP Interface - Disabled
Bluetooth Peripheral Device - Not Installed
These devices are found by the Lenovo Solution Center.
If I go to Lenovo's driver download page and download and attempt to install the REALTEK Bluetooth drivers when setup starts it ends with a prompt stating
"Sorry ! We do not support this operation system !!"
I am running Windows 7 64bit which is the driver that is suppored per the lenovo driver site.
    Thanks for your help

My guess is that you are trying to install the driver for a newer machine (different Bluetooth device). I believe you need this one:

  • Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices! Batteries have been changed and they will connect to an older Mac mini. Server will now only see one or the other but not both.

My Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices, either the wireless keyboard or the mouse( both apple products) have tried new batteries, at first it was the mouse that stopped responding, but upon rebooting the computer now the keyboard will not respond and the mouse works. Both work fine on an older Mac mini that I hooked back up to check.

There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

  • HT4489 Ever since the last update IOS5.1.1, calendar entries are not saved on Icloud, and would not sync on all I clould devices

After the last update of IOS5.1.1, all caledar entries are not saved on Icloud and thus not synced on all my Icloud devices, even though, spreadsheets are synced, photostream is working and contacts is syncing, only calendar items.  Anybody has the same problem? Or a solution to this kind or problem?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.
