Bluetooth - Devices paired, canoot sync

Hello,
I was wondering if someone can help me with syncing through Bluetooth. My laptop is paired with my Blackberry 8300, but i don't see anywhere the option to sync.
Up until now i have always been connecting the USB cable to sync Outlook with the Blackberry, however it would be nice to just automatically sync as soon as my Blackberry is near my laptop.
I appreciate the help
Thank you!

Yes. You don't even have to select which one you want to use. Why do you think you can't set up your headset without un-installing the pairing for the car? Just set it up. I have 4 different bluetooth devices paired with mine. My car, a headset I keep at home, a headset I keep at the office, and my wife's car.
It works just fine.

  • Bluetooth device driver - Windows 7

I am unable to  successfully add my Blackberry 9700 as a bluetooth device paired to my Windows 7 64 bit laptop in order to use the wireless syncing function.  When I attempt to pair the device, I receive the error message "device driver was not successfully installed" and "Bluetooth peripheral device- no driver found."  The properties display 2 missing drivers. Can someone advise me from where I can obtain these missing drivers.  I am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28.  Thanks

Go to the site for directions. You have to add the drivers manually.

    I have to ask,
Are you making sure you are in park before attempting the sync?   The car won't allow you to do it in motion, whether or not you're the passenger.

It isn't supposed to pair with the MacBook.  You can use WiFi to connect but not Bluetooth.  You can setup a personal HotSpot on the iPhone and connect the MacBook, or setup the MacBook AirPort to create a network and attach the iPhone, and use the USB cable to connect the iPhone to the MacBook for syncing and backup purposes.
    The communications are rather limited.

  • MacBook Pro will not pair with any Bluetooth device

Last night my MacBook Pro stopped pairing with any bluetooth device (I've tried Apple Pro Wireless Keyboard, Wireless Mighty Mouse, Logitech MX900 mouse, Apple Aluminum Wireless Keyboard) and it simply won't pair with anything.
It sees each device but when it tries to pair it fails. With the keyboards, sometimes it'll give me the passkey to type on the keyboard but then it doesn't recognize that I've actually typed it and hit enter. Eventually I just end up with:
"The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. Make sure your keyboard is in range of this computer, turned on and "discoverable." When ready, click Continue to try again."
I've reinstalled 10.5.6 Combo update, tried to pair under a different user account, turned off/on bluetooth, and still nothing.
I did install VMWare Fusion last night and briefly shared the Bluetooth connection to that, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.
    Any suggestions?

    Me too. sigh
All was well until this afternoon, when I swapped out the batteries on my trusty old Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth, which has worked flawlessly for me for a few years now. After I put new batteries in, my MBP wouldn't recognize it. I went through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, and it "saw" the mouse and properly listed it as "Microsoft Mouse". I hit "continue", of course, and the Assistant said "Pairing with your Bluetooth mouse". It got as far as "Connection established" (and I saw the mouse appear in the Bluetooth preference pane", but then I got the dreaded red words: "The pairing attempt was unsuccessful. Make sure your mouse is in range of this computer, turned on and "discoverable." Etc., etc. I made sure of all of those things and tried again, many times, with the same failure every time. I tried different batteries, rebooted the Mac, and so on. No luck.
Figuring my mouse was dead, I went out and bought a Kensington Slimblade Bluetooth Presenter Mouse, brand new, never been paired with anything. Same problem!
Also, I can no longer get my Palm Treo 650 to sync via Bluetooth. It used to be a little flaky (often complained that the port was in use by another application), but rebooting the Treo always solved that. Now, it doesn't.
One trusty old mouse suddenly stops pairing, one brand-new one refuses to pair, smartphone won't sync any more. I haven't installed any system updates or anything else since the Microsoft mouse worked. The only weird thing going on is that I'm having massive network connectivity issues with my broadband connection (probably a flaky cable modem), and a couple of days ago I bought a new Airport Extreme a/b/g/n wireless router, which is at the other end of the house from my computer and now-defunct mice.
Very bizarre. Can the Bluetooth chip or antenna in a MacBook Pro burn out or otherwise fail?
    Puzzled and frustrated,

I looked at the same sight for that and it does not say that.  This is the first time I have posted a question, you don't have to be mean about it.  I am trying to get this to work for a good cause.
It may be the best source of assistance is the manufacturer of the device. I suspect you will need a specific app for the iPhone to get it to work, but the site is rather ambiguous about that.

  • I'm not able to pair my iPad with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I was able to do this on my original iPad. I was having a problem on an unrelated matter, and the Apple store replaced it with a new device. Previously, all Bluetooth devices worked fine;

I'm not able to pair my iPad via Bluetooth with my Logitech mini-Boombox. I recently brought my iPad to the Apple Store for an unrelated problem, and they replaced it with a new device. The old device had no problem pairing with any of my Bluetooth devices. I'm only haveing the problem with my new device. I was able to pair it with my Apple wireless keyboard, but not the mini-Boombox. I think I've done everything that I've read in other forum posts: I've toggled the Bluetooth setting on and off; I've reset the iPad a couple times; I've turned off and on the mini-Boombox; I've recharged the mini-Boombox. What am I missing here, and how can I fix this?

  • How do I find the MAC address of a paired bluetooth device?

I have just connected a bluetooth device to my MacBook.  When it was pairing, it displayed the MAC address of the device, but a few seconds later, the MAC address was replaced with a test description of the device.  I need to figure out what that MAC address was.
For clarification, this is not an ethernet connection, it is Bluetooth.  The device is a type of headset, it has no use accessable interface, and no the address is not on the device itself.
    Thanks,

    Open System Preferences > Bluetooth
Select the device on the left.
Then click the asterick with a downward facing arrow then click More Info.
The Addrress will show on the right.

I've found two bugs in iOS 7:
    1) declined calls does not appear as missed calls on the lock screen/notification centre - iOS 7.0.2.
    2) when bluetooth is enabled from control center, it does not connect to an already paired bluetooth device automatically - iOS 7.0.

  • IPhone 4S will not pair or connect to Bluetooth since IOS 7.1.2 upgrade, have done troubleshooting, on phone and with Honda Handsfree link, can no longer pair bluetooth devices with phone after un-pairing them

iPhone 4S upgraded to IOS 7.1.2. Since then, Honda Handsfreelink would not connect, I un-paired and re-paired phone on 2 prior occasions successfully. Now I deleted system settings in car, tried to pair another BlueTooth (Plantronices M20 that had previously been paired wtih iPhone unsuccessfully. I have tried troubleshooting with Honda HFL, Verizon Tech Support, reset network settings on phone and I can no longer get the Bluetooth to pair. I was told to bring phone to VZW store. I was also told to reset phone to default settings which I do not want to do.

You have to reset the plantronics device before you can pair successfully. With my new iPhone the plantronics web site said to reset the headset and then pair.
Your car dealership is best equipped to connect to your phone with your Honda. Physically go to the dealership.

  • Why can't i connect to any of my bluetooth devices that i have already paired?

Why can't I connect to any of my Bluetooth devices i have already paired with?

You say "I am paired" but unless you are a Bluetooth device yourself, what device are you trying to send files from? A computer? A mobile phone? If the latter, which one?
To send files Mac to Mac, Bluetooth Sharing needs to be enabled on both Macs in the Sharing system preferences pane.
If you are trying to send files between a Mac and an iOS device via Bluetooth, then that won't work as iOS devices don't have that functionality.

  • HT204387 what is the bluetooth pairing default code to connect to bluetooth device (car).

What is the bluetooth pairing code to connect to bluetooth device (car) for iphone 4 w 7.os

first you must put your iphone in the discover mode by going to bluetooth on your phone which places it in discovery mode. Them you must go to your car's bluetooth discovery mode and place it in discovery mode. If the phone sees the car and visa versa, the car will give you a code to place into your phone. Once you put the code into the phone the two will be linked. Make sure that your car has "automatic" link set so that your phone will link every time you turn on the ignition. Refer to your car's manual for more help or go to your dealer, they should be able to help you or even do it for you, but you need to know how to be able to discover and then link bluetooth devices yourself because every bluetooth device uses the same discovery formula especially if you want to use your IOS devices to play music through your system using bluetooth.
