Bluetooth disabling when phone has connected to No...

Has anyone else had issues whereby when their C7 has connected to Ovi Suite the Bluetooth stops responding. The solution for this is to go in to the Bluetooth menu, disable the BT and re-enable it to restart it working again. Not sure if this is a hardware or software related issue but has persisted since I've had the phone through various firmware revisions (including the Symbian Anna upgrade).
Also, another issue since the Anna upgrade, also Bluetooth related, is that the phone and in particular it's contact book appears to freeze when the phone is connected to a Bluetooth headset or handsfree car kit, in fact any Bluetooth peripheral. This happens for about a minute during which time it becomes non-responsive. Anyone else had this issue or experience of it on the C7 or N8?? Trying to work out if this is an issue exclusive to the C7 or N8 too?

If the phone is paired the sounds usually routes through the car speakers. Is the car speaker volume turned down?

Hi there. I have N80 and i am using the latest PCsuite edition. My problem is that i would like to be able to see my contacts on the computer when the phone isnt connected! I remember a long time ago there was a different PCsuite out there, perhaps 2-3 years ago. It had a completely diffrent layout where you could organize your contacts into different folders and so on. So even when the phone wasnt connected you could browse thrue the contacts and put them in to special categories and more! But today you cant even browse your contacts without have the phone connected! Lets say i lost my phone, how great wouldnt it be to be able to see all the numbers on my computer! Are you following me or is it just me having noticed this little problem?

At least I hear you Marcus, it used to be a lot better, I remember also.
I think you can copy-paste the whole list of contacts while you are connected into a local folder in you PC. They will be saved as .vcf files. You can also drag and drop a contact from that folder back to the phone contacts folder once phone is connected again and update those contacts back to phone.
(I tried with 6280, copy-pasted all my contacts to temp folder, edited one contact and drag and dropped it back to the phone contacts folder, pressed update and it was in my phone.

Iphone 4s on iOS 7.1.2, wifi disabled when phone is locked

Hey, So i do not have 3g connection. So whenever my iphone is locked the wifi seems to drop until i turn it back on. It never did this before now im receiving iMessages LATE, im talking 5-45 minutes late. What can i do to change this?

More than likely that is the reason. The only way for you to receive an iMessage is if you are connected to the Internet. If your Wi-Fi is off, as it is when the phone is asleep and you have no other data connection, then messages will not be delivered until you connect to the Internet again. So if you only data connection is Wi-Fi, then you would have to have the device connected to power to maintain a constant Wi-Fi connection. If not, then the connection will go to sleep. If a person that is sending you the message has "Send as SMS" activated on their device, an iMessage failure would result in the message being sent/received as an SMS (regular text message).

"Isync cannot connect to this device" Yet phone has connected to other Imac

I have a Nokia 6230i and for ages I have been trying to get my Macbook to connect via iSync, I thought the phone was at fault, I had taken them both to a genius bar and was told the phone was at fault but last week I connected the phone to an iMac via iSync and it worked a treat. Unfortunately the imac is not my workhorse and the contacts I need to use are on the macbook.
I have reinstalled iSync by extracting it from the dvd but this also did not work. I keep getting "isync cannot connect to this device" every time
Why cant it be a bit more specific? Why not an error code or something that will let you track down the problem
Has anyone else had the same problem with iSync?

I had the same problem with a 6230i from a friend. After setting date and time on the mobile iSync had no problems anymore.

Built-in microphone only works when phone is connected to iPod nano cable

Hi, I got an iPhone yesterday but the microphone doesn't work properly. I have figured out that the built-in microphone will only work when I connect the dock cable from a second generation iPod nano. The cable that comes with the iPhone does not work. The supplied handsfree earbuds work correctly at all times.
The strangest part of the problem is that the iPod dock cable doesn't have to be connected to my computer!
I'll state the problem again. Let's say I make a phone call. The person on the other end cannot hear anything I say, but I can hear them. Then I plug in the dock cable from a second generation iPod nano, and the other person can then hear me. Unplug the cable and they can not hear me.
I have tried restoring the iPhone three times, turned it on and off, and inserted and removed the headphone plug many times. These actions do nothing. *The only way I can talk on my phone is if I insert the dock connector from my old iPod!*

Network transfer rate reduced when Phone is connected

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble with a few 7911G's. When i connect a PC to a network through a 7911G phone, the transfer speed is drastically reduced. I have tried this with a number of 7911G's so it's not a faulty unit. For example, with the phone connected, a 60mb file transfers in close to 4 minutes. Without the phone connected, it transfers in 10 seconds. I don't think it is a distance issues as i have installed the exact same phones areas that were alot further from their switch taht work perfectly. The port speed in the switches are set at 100 full as well as the SW Port Configuration and PC Port Configuration in the 7911G phones. Any help would be appreciated

I just tried a few 7941G's in place of the 7911G's and they seem to work fine when transferring large files. I had to force the SW and PC Ports of the 7941G to run at 100 Full rather than auto negiotiate. This actually made a massive difference. A 200mb file transferred in 70 minutes on auto, and in 15 seconds on 100 full?!? There's something strange going on with this connection

Lenovo G550 AC disables when battery is connected

I am having an odd issue with my lenovo G550. When I have the battery connected it will charge for a few seconds and then the AC will disconnect. I have tried discharging, then rebooting with just the AC and that works fine. It will not boot with the battery even though there is some power in the battery and it will boot with the battery and AC. I had tried getting another battery as well, but the same issue happend. Any ideas?

Updated now phone has connect to itunes prompt

I updated my phone as prompted by itunes. Now my phone is stuck on the screen with the usb cord and itunes logo. I have restarted my computer, itunes and my phone more times than I can count. I tried the hold down the home button and plug it in, I have tried changing which port I connect to. I even uninstalled itunes with an apple support person on the phone and reinstalled it. I still have no phone because of this upgrade and am less than impressed. I don't know let's try this seems to be the regular answer from apple. Then there was the whole "kindness" of them not charging me for the phone call since it was an itunes issue (Like they were doing me a favour). Did no one at itunes actually test this update? Please help me I need my phone badly and I don't mean like teenager jonesing need it. I mean like I am a mother of small children that need to contact me for safety purposes and can't right now because of this update.

Well been on the phone with Apple "support" team. Apparently the fact that I updated and my phone crashed in the process of the update is all coincidence. Now my only option is to hope they honor my warranty that is up today and provide me with a new phone? I have to drive two hours out of my way to get to the store, my son will miss his hockey practice and it's all because apple decided to update my phone. The condecending "I understand you think our update wrecked your phone but it didn't" attitude really did nothing to improve my opinion of this company what so ever.

Pc suite does not recognize phone is connected, he...

I have recently bought a CA-42 connectivity cable for my Nokia 5140i so that I can download all 450 phone numbers to my pc and save writing them all out! I have installed all drivers, and downloaded the latest copy of pc suite from the internet. I have had a lengthy conversation with o2 and club nokia support, why won't my pc connect to the phone using the data cable? The pc realsises that the phone is their, all areas are ok, except for the fact that when I click get connected, the pc does not connect to the phone?
please help, any suggestions would be greatly received, as I am just about to throw the cable in the bin, and write all the numbers down. Thanks, James.

it helps if you tell your system details(choose about pc suite by right clicking the phone icon in tray area bottom right), then system info.
Also tell exactly how you know that pc regocnised the phone, what is said in device manager when phone is connected and what happens when you use get connected wizard

My phone has been disabled -connect to ITunes

My phone was disabled because I did not know my password. It now has become disabled and says to connect to itunes. I am not able to it won't respond.
I usually download with ICloud. Nothing works.

What happens when you connect the phone to your computer's iTunes, and you have an up-to-date version of iTunes installed on your computer ? If your iTunes is not recognising that a disabled device is connected to it then try one of these troubleshooting pages :

After holding the sleep button down or even doing the hard reset the same screen comes up on my phone regardless of whether it is plugged in or not to my computer. I have turned my computer off and on again. It is plugged in and charging as it's battery life is very short. I also reset my modem and the same error message pops up. The only option on my computer when my phone is plugged in is to restore it. My firewall also allows Itunes through it. I have literally tried everything I know being someone who knows very little about technology. I also do not want to hear about how the update worked for other people. My phone has been in recovery mode for 5 hours at least now so it will just make me more frustrated if a bunch of people post about how the update worked for them.

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...
