Bluetooth doesn't initially work when turning it on to answer

If my Bluetooth headset is turned off, and my iPhone rings, and I answer it by turning the Bluetooth headset on, the phone gets answered, but there is no sound going out or coming in on either the iPhone or the Bluetooth. If I look at the phone's sources (Bluetooth, iPhone, speaker) while on the call, Bluetooth shows as being the active source.
Now, after answering the call, if I change to another source (by the way, that source does then work) and switch back to the Bluetooth headset, the Bluetooth headset then works. So, if I want to answer my iPhone and use Bluetooth when the Bluetooth headset is turned off, I need to turn it on, wait for the phone to be answered, then change the source to something else and then back to the Bluetooth headset. On other phones I've had, when you answer with a Bluetooth device by turning it on, it all works.
I have a Motorola H700 Bluetooth headset. Don't know if this is a faulty Bluetooth headset, the H700 is incompatible in this area, or the iPhone is at fault. Anybody else have this problem or not have this problem? What Bluetooth headset do you have? Thanks

No one has ever mentioned this to me. I get a fair number of calls when on DND and left voice mails.

  • Device stuck on initial screen when turns on

    I picked up my tablet yesterday. This morning i realized that it wont get recharged if it is OFF. So i put it to recharge with the power ON, after  the charge was complete, i turned it OFF. After a couple of hours i turned it ON again and it got stuck on the initial screen that says "blackberry playbook" and a bunch of circles on the background changing colors. I turned it ON and OFF several times but it did the same, basically it is locked in that stage. Please advise.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hold down the power button for at least one minute, or until it turns off.  If that does not work hold down the volume button, next to the power button, and then the power button until it turns off.
    Mine did the same thing attempting to update.
    When it shuts down, leave it off.  Get the latest version of desktop manager on your computer.  Run it on the computer, then plug the playbook into the computer.  It should wake up and allow you to update to version 1705, or the latest, assuming you did not get that far.  When done power it down and back up to complete the install.
    On wake up it may not allow you to connect to your wireless network, and be stuck at that screen.  Make it open and publ, or go to a place where there is an open public wireless network.  Then connect, complete the setup process and do the bridge connection to your blackberry.
    As yet I have not been able to figure out how to get it connect to a protected network, but the unit is working.  For network access I am using the bridge network connection for now.

  • [SOLVED]Doesn't openmpi work when called by fakeroot?

    I found that I can't use mpicc when I was writing a PKGBUILD.
    It seems that the mpicc doesn't work under fakeroot.
    Here is a simple PKGBUILD show how it's happened.
    pkgname=Testing-openmpi-on-fakeroot
    pkgver=1337
    pkgrel=42
    arch=('i686' 'x86_64')
    makedepends=('openmpi')
    build() {
    mpicc --help
    Later, I found that I couldn't even run this simple command on my machine.
    fakeroot mpicc --help
    Another example shows makepkg was unable to achieve coherence.
    pkgbase=More_Testing_mpicc
    pkgname=('Testing_mpicc_example')
    pkgver=x86
    pkgrel=64
    arch=('i686')
    makedepends=('openmpi')
    build() {
    mpicc --help # ok: it works.
    package_Testing_mpicc_example() {
    mpicc --help # error: called by fakeroot.
    Won't that fail to run, or am I missing something?
    Some information:
    pacman 3.5.2-1
    openmpi 1.5.3-2
    gcc 4.6.0-3

    There is a way to avoid this issue. Don't put everything in build().
    Split the install part to package().
    Then the makepkg will enter fakeroot after build() finished.
    pkgname=Final-test-openmpi-on-fakeroot
    pkgver=9527
    pkgrel=101010
    arch=('i686' 'x86_64')
    makedepends=('openmpi')
    build() {
    mpicc --help # ok: now this works.
    package() {
    mkdir $pkgdir/tmp

  • Air application installer doesn't always work when Adobe air is already installed

    Hi,
    I've recieved an adobe air application from another developer. I placed it a web site and tested it. It worked so I considered it complete. However it turns out that it only worked because I didn't have Adobe Air installed.
    I've found that there is someone with Adobe Air (same version as me) already intalled from another source and when they click application install button absolutely nothing happens. No error or anything.
    However I can revisit the page and click it and it works every time even with adobe air already installed. So I suspect it has something to do with how they've installed it.
    Has anyone ever run into this issue and do you know what could be causing it? It is because something is wrong with their installer which leaves it not knowing what to do with an air extension and the whole thing just fails silently?

    Hi,
    Would it be possible to get the URL to the page that has your AIR badge installer (or the html if it's not publicly viewable)?  We'll probably also need further info on the system that's failing, if possible could you post the installer log and check to see if the following file exists:
    Win 7:
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\www.macromedia.com\bin\airappinstaller\airappinstaller.exe
    Mac
    /Users/username/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/bin/airappinstaller/airappinstaller
    Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] if necessary.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • IPod doesn't receive  messages when turned off

    I Own a 32gb 5th generation iPod. The version is  iOS 7.1.2   In the past month whenever I turn my iPod off it doesn't receive messages that have been sent to me. Sometimes when I turn it on I will get messages that weren't delivered that day, it will always be from exactly 6 days ago. I'm not really sure what could be causing it and I have not changed anything that would have caused it that I know of. The only way that this doesn't happen is if I leave my iPod on 24/7.

    Are you powering the iPod off (Slide to Power off)?
    Or are you letting the iPod sleep?
    When powered off it can't receive anything.

  • TTL specified in put operation doesn't always work when using write-behind

    I'm using a distributed cache with a write-behind cache store (see the config below). I found that when I do something like myCache.put(key, value, ttl), the entry survives the specified ttl. I tried doing the same with a distributed cache with a write-through cachestore and there everything does happen correctly.
    Is this sort of operation not permitted in caches containing a write-behind cachestore? If not wouldn't it be better to throw an UnsupportedOperationException.
    I created a small test to simulate this. I added values to the cache with a TTL of 1 to 10 seconds and found that the 10 second entries stayed in the cache.

    Hi, still no luck. However, I noticed that setting the write-delay value of the write-behind store to 0s or 1s, solved the problem. It only starts to given me "the node has already been removed" excpetions once the write-delay value is 2s or higher.

  • Why doesn't search work when I open a PDF in Safari?

    If I download the pdf and open it in Adobe reader, search works OK.  Using cmd-F in Safari opens a search window, but it does not find words that I am able to find in Adobe reader.
    Is there a way to force Safari to open the file in Reader (new window is OK)?
    tnx - jt

    Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
    If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
    Step 2
    There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
    If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
    and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
    From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
    Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

    I think that others could provide better suggestions if you provide a clear description of your network setup.  You obviously have two computers that have wireless capability but I'm not clear if you are using a wireless router or if you are connecting the one Mac through Ethernet.
    Unless you have a specific reason that you cannot do so, each computer should connect directly to a wireless router instead of trying to use Internet Sharing.
    If you give some clear details of your setup, and why it's set up that way, then I'm sure that there are some folks that can help figure this out for you or suggest a better configuration.

  • Program not working when transfered to a mobilphone.

    Hi all.
    I have made a program that should be able to send a message over bluetooth.
    The program works when I use the simulator, but it cannot find any other devices, when I transfer it to the phone.
    Does any of you know if there are any special things that I should do to allow it to find other bluetooth devices on my phone.
    Hope you can help med here.
    Thx in advance.
    Kind regards Michael.

    Is the simulator correctly set to represent the phone you're trying to deploy on?
    Not all Java-enabled phones implement all Java functionality -- you should check to see that the phone implements the correct JSR (I believe it's JSR-82).

    How do I change or reset my password for my wifi? I have forgotten my initial password when I setup the wifi and now cant use it with my iPod but it still works with my iPad as the password option doesn't come up like the iPod.

    If you are saying that the iPod asks for the password for the network and you do not know it, what may work is to turn on iCloud keychain for the iPod and iPad., Thet may sync the password from the iPad to the iPod
