Bluetooth driver error in 10.5.7

I was using Apple wireless keyboard and mouse when trying to update my iMac to 10.5.7. It worked quite well before the system was restarted.
When the Login window pop up, I found it unable to use my wireless keyboard and mouse to key in anything. I thought that was because the system cache was updated that I need to login to activate something to make it work. However, after I successfully login into my system using my old keyboard, what surprised me was that Bluetooth disappear from System Preference! Also, the system profiler reported that no bluetooth hardware was installed in my computer.
Then, I reboot the system, fortunately, both wireless keyboard and mouse worked this time. Is there anyone had the same problem? In the statement of releasing 10.5.7 update, Apple says the bluetooth is improved. I am bit worried that the same problem will keep on showing up.

I tried the following:
- reinstalling 10.5.7 from the full combo update (the 700+ MB updater). no joy.
- resetting PRAM. no joy.
then i resorted to resetting the SMC (today's version of resetting the SMU/PMU). Instructions can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411?viewlocale=en_US
and now I have my Bluetooth back!
hope this helps those of you who haven't found success so far.

  • T500 Bluetooth driver upgrade problem, risk of wiping the harddrive

    Hi,
I tried to upgrade my bluetooth driver on my laptop. The upgrade failed. After that I get an error when the computer starts.
"The program can't start because btwhidcs.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
When I try to reinstall, first all goes well. At the last part of the installation I get an "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly"
When I search on google this seems like a common problem. But I haven't found a solution for it anywhere.
What I did found that for some people files where deleted on the system drive when they tried to uninstall their old driver.
Here are some people that lost data on their harddrive when trying to uninstall the old driver.
    Unable to install bluetooth driver
    Broadcom bluetooth
Bluetooth with enhanced data rate software II
Bluetooth update killed my Windows 7
installation of bluetooth driver error 1935
Potential data wipe while updating x220 bluetooth driver
Widcomm uninstallation wipes out the computer
Lenovo and others seems to have suggested to uninstall the old driver when people have requested help.
    Bluetooth installation problem
Here I found some posts that might help with finding a solution. It is about kb970652. Not sure what needs to be done though.
    Error 1935
This seems like a known problem that should be fixed in version 6.4 version of the drivers.
Installation of bluetooth driver error 1935
but there is no post in the thread with the new drivers or information about them.  After a lot of searching I found a post where Lenovo went out with a warning. The warning is here:
Please note - Report - Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II for Windows 7 wipe main drive
There are updated drivers in the post. But they seem not to be for the T500 and on the download page T500 there is no new version of the drivers.
I talked to Lenovo support a couple of times but they say they only handle hw problems. They recommended removal of devices in Device Manager, uninstall reinstall etc. But after all posts of lost data I don't want to try to uninstall if I am not sure it will not corrupt my computer. I asked them if they could forward to their team to update drivers for the t500 but they seem not to have done that.
Right now I have no working bluetooth anymore.
We have hundreds of lenovo laptops in our offices and I really would like to know if we risk risk data loss if a user uninstalls bluetooth drivers. How could we upgrade them to remove this risk?
    So my questions are:
Does anyone know what versions of the drivers are unsafe to uninstall and what versions are safe to uninstall?
How can you fix broken updates? Like on my T500. There is no new driver for it on it's download page?
What is the way to upgrade bluetooth on "unsafe" machines (where uninstallation of bluetooth would corrupt them)?

    Hello and welcome,
The last post in a long thread on this topic links to a driver for the T500 among other machines.  I haven't tried it myself.
OS wiped out during Bluetooth drivers update

    Hi,
I have tried installing "Dell Wireless 1701

But I saw neither wireless nor Bluetooth was defined.
As  the drivers listed below are only  the driver for wireless and bluetooth, I almost tried all of them, except the last three.

I had to install Dell Wireless 1702 WiFi +
    Bluetooth Driver
The wireless adapter was defined by this driver, however, the Bluetooth still has an exclamation mark in front of it, and when the Dell WLAN and Bluetooth client installation finished, a pop up message said that Windows couldn't install the device
well, although there was a folder added in documents folder named 'Bluetooth Folder'
Yes, the Bluetooth was named with 'Generic Bluetooth adapter' before installing 'Driver above'. However, after installing the driver above, the Bluetooth adapter named with ' Dell wireless 1702 Bluetooth v3.0". But as you see it's
    still not working will.
The sceen shot shows the device manger before installing  Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver
These screen shots shows the device manger after installing  Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver
I've lit windows detect the operating program for this device on the internet, it said "Windows has detected that the operating  program of this device is up to date. As this screenshot shows.
What should I do because nothing lift to try? If you have a look at the ninth drivers in my previous message, you will see that no other drivers for Bluetooth lift.
Also, I have tried  to install Intel
    Centrino Wireless-N 1030 WiFi Driver
But I have been told that "the installation is blocked', This package of installation cannot be installed on your system' I don't know what this
means, is it because Dell Wireless 1702 WiFi +
    Bluetooth Driver is being installed
Could you please take some of your preciout time out to read carefully my points below to finish this problem?
    first:
Yes, if you had a look at my first post, you would have seen that I really have downloaded and installed the drivers suitable for bluetooth, which was only Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver, which made the bluetooth recognized by Windows 7(64Bit). However, the bluetooth in the device manager still has an exclamation mark as it is shown in the device manager.
I don't have any other drviers which can do more than the what Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver did because I have tried all the drivers listed under 'Network', exept the what are for Etherent.
Yes, when I have tried adding the bluetooth between two laptops(Mohammad and Nasreen).  the bluetooth was added for both laptops as you see in these screenshots below:
The Bluetooth devices of Nasreen's laptop whose bluetooth is having some problems in Device mangage.
The Bluetooth devices of Mohammad's laptop  whosse Bluetooh is defined well in device manager.
But there is still problem in the device managre as shown in the screenshot listed before.
Second: (Important) That when I want to send files or recieving between two bluetooth added in either laptop, I could send them. Also, when I open the Mohammad's bluetooth added in Nansreen's laptop( screenshot
below), I can show what is inside it.
However, when I open the the Nasreen's bluetooth addd in Mohammad's laptop, I noticed  no reponse at all because as you see that disconnected is written in fornt "Nasreen-Pc" as this screenshot:
Although sometimes Nasreen-Pc gets connected as screenshot below, but I am still not able to open the Bluetooth folder of Nasreen-pc from Mohammad-pc. When trying to do that, no response is there.
In other times, Nasreen-pc gets connected for a while, but it comes back disconnected.
Third:: I noticed that the name of Laptop whose Bluetooth was added listed in 'My computer' for the laptop whose Bluetooth is having some problems in the device manager.(First Screen shot below)  However,
the name of the laptop whose Bluetooth is having problems wasn't listed on other laptop's "my computer"(Second Screen shot below)
Finally: : when I clicked "right-click" on "Nasreen-PC" and then clicking on "detecting and troublshooting issues", I found that windows informed me that :
But which driver should I reinstall because I have already installed the Dell
Wireless 1702 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver almost twice?
A man should convert his anger and sadness into strength to continue living in this life.

Certain driver packages contain drivers from some of the essential services only and for additional services, separate drivers must be installed. Additionally, the service is installed only if a compatible device is installed (or paired).
Therefore, you are seeing the error.
If you are using the Bluetooth L2CAP Interface and Bluetooth Remote Control services and not able to install the services, you can try unpairing the device, restart the PC, pair the device and then check. If that too fails, you need to install a suitable
driver, sometimes even other OEM drivers solve the issue. You can Bing/Google about this. You can also contact Dell Support for more information.
    Balaji Kundalam
    Thanks a lot,
I really didn't understand what you mean with in your first part the service is installed only if a compatible device is installed (or paired).
    The Bluetooth is integrated with
the laptop, then  where other services will come from, all service are related to Bluetooth.
If there are some additional services not related to Bluetooth,
then how can I either let them functioning well or disable them in order to get rid of the yellow exclamation mark
on the name of my laptop in the Device and printers.
Also, I really have installed a
BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth) for HP which really defined the same Bluetooth issue,
Device manager after installing the entire setup of driver BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth) on HP laptop
but  when trying to install the same
BCBT7(Broadcom Bluetooth)  on Dell,  I faced the error below, although there is an icon for Bluetooth in
the system tray. Also, the Bluetooth is integrated as
you have seen in the device manager.
You didn't answer me: Third:: I noticed that the name of Laptop whose Bluetooth was added listed in 'My computer' for the laptop whose
Bluetooth is having some problems in the device manager.(First Screen shot below)  However, the name of the laptop whose Bluetooth is having problems wasn't listed on other laptop's "my computer"(Second Screen shot below)

  • [REQUEST] rtl8723au_bt bluetooth driver for lenovo yoga 13

    Hello.
I have a lenovo yoga 13 laptop with 8723 wireless card.
Wifi is working bacause of dkms-8723au-git package. As I know, in 3.15 kernel it will work out of the box and lwfinger will no longer maintain this source code.
Bluetooth is not working and there is no bluetooth driver in aur. It is required to install another package from here https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723au_bt.
I cannot build this package, because when I run make command it ends with error make[1]: *** /lib/modules/3.14.4-1-ARCH/build: No such file or directory. Also there was written about no dkms support in code. But I cannot fix it, because I am still noob in Archlinux. And for some reason it is written "Support kernel version 2.6.32~3.13.0" in readme.txt. I have already 3.14.4-1-ARCH kernel.
Could anyone help me to fix that and make aur package for other people to get  bluetooth work on lenovo yoga 13?

    Best Regards,

    Hi Mwahab,
I am glad to hear that your issue has been resolved after uninstalling the graphic driver, and now your query is that you wanted to if your system is shipped with additional graphic card.
Below is the link where you can verify the system hardware configuration by giving the complete system MTM (Machine Type Model) number, if you provide us the MTM number we can assist on that.

    Hope this helps.

  • BH-111 with windows 8.1 Driver Error

I have recently purcharsed the BH-111 and an inateck (BTA-CSR4B5) bluetooth dongle and have successfully gotten the headset to play sound, but it won't fully pair and use the microphone or media controls.
When in the device manager it says Driver Error
The dongle supplyer states that the device is bluetooth 4.0, but backwards compatible with 2.1 (which is what this headset has) so there should be no issue with full use of the BH-111 and my laptop.
Please can you advise what I need to do

    Hi @HP-User-123 ,
I see that you don't have the options for the paper types to select in the print driver. I would be happy to help you.
Depending on if you installed the printer by plugging in the USB cable and using the Windows preinstalled driver, or used the downloaded HP Color LaserJet Plug and Play Package. I would suggest to uninstall and download and install the Plug and Play Package if you haven't already.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. http://www.hp.com/go/tools>Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know.

  • BlueTooth Update Error (Internal Error 2753, F84988_btins.dll)

    Hello All,
Hope someone may be able to sort this one out for me; my efforts so far have been useless
I am using a ThinkPad R60e (model # 0657-3LG), running Win-XP-Home Premium - SP3, with BlueTooth built-in; it worked fine until a few days ago, when I allowed ThinkPad SystemUpdate to attempt to update its driver (Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software) to its most current version (5.5.0.6400).
For the first time in its over two years life, SystemUpdate STALLED during the update (never done that for ANY piece of software, application or driver!).
I had to "brutally" abort it (after several hours of wait), and tried again: same result.
I downloaded the update from Lenovo's Web site, and tried to run it manually (not under the SystemUpdate services): again, it stalled eventually.
Assuming an incomplete update was performed, I entered the Windows Control Panel, and went through an UNinstall of the software (to clean the area), closed the Bluetooth radio, and done a reboot.
Further to which, I restarted the Bluetooth radio, cancelled the Windows' "detected new hardware" pop-up, and tried to install the driver anew (from the file I previously downloaded); complete failure, with a pop-up stating "Internal Error 2753, F84988_btins.dll".
Repeated attempts, produced the same result; this time, the software no longer appears however under the Windows' Control Panel's "Add/ Remove Programs" (incomplete install ...)
Under the Device Manager, I was able to bring the device back to life by "rolling-back" the driver (although the "back" shows now version 5.5.0.6500", which is the current one), but there are no icons (either in the SysTray or on the Desktop) through which I can access "My Bluetooth Places".
In view of the above, and as I should like to restore Bluetooth functionality:
    1. Any ideas what the said error means, and how it should be handled?
    2. Any way to COMPLETELY clean any trace of Bluetooth installation, to enable me start PERFECTLY clean with a new install?
    3. Assuming that MAYBE the installer conflicts with some other software that runs in the background, can the R60e be started in Safe Mode, and -- if so -- can the Installer run in this mode? (alternatively, what is the minimum configuration that allows the ThinkPad to start and enable the Installer to run?)
    4. Any other productive suggestions will be most welcome.
Thanks in advance for your help,
                       Rougena

    Hi Rougena,
I am sorry I think I am the only one reply you.
And even I do not anwser your question, I post because I have the same problem either.
My situation is similar that the bluetooth driver never update through Thinkvantage system update.
So I run the manual one to update it.
The wrror info showed my screen is a bit different from yours.
Mine is "internal error 2229, launchcondition"
I have search around the internet, but no anwser either.
That's why it lead me to your post.>_<
What useful info I got so far?
From Broadcom website, they said if the bluetooth works well, then dont need to update to the lastest one.
However, mine didnt work well, when I connect to my logitech bluetooth keyboard, it always has problem to paired.
I hope the IT person in IBM/Lenono will notice this problem and resolove it soon.
    Colin

  • Which bluetooth driver do I need?

    Hello everyone,
I recently uninstalled my Bluetooth drivers due to some troubles. But now I don't know which bluetooth driver to install from the support page.
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-s-series-laptops/thinkpad-s44...
On the page above there are two Bluetooth drivers available but I don't know which one to install. Obviously I tried both but both give an error:
The image above is the error Intel PROSet shows.
And this image above is the error REALTEK shows. (Translation: Be sure Bluetooth has been enabled on your computer. Insert the device and click OK.) Once I click OK the following message appear: REALTEK Bluetooth has not been installed on your computer.
I am using a Thinkpad S440 and Windows 8.1 Pro
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
According to Message Analyzer default Trace Scenarios:
We can find that, these provider only accessable in Windows 8 or later, Windows 7 doesn't contains these provider. This could explain why Message Analyzer couldn't trace Bluetooth messages in Windows 7.
You can refer to the link below for more details:

  • Ideapad A720 Windows 8 Pro can't install the bluetooth driver

I upgraded to Windows 8 than went to the Lenovo site and down loaded a few of the drivers that it needs (primarily the NVIDIA video driver), however Windows 8 forced me to uninstall the Bluetooth driver before doing the upgrade.
Downloading the Bluetooth A720 Windows 8 driver from the support site doesn't seem to work.  You run the install, it unpacks than dies and does run.  trying to force the setup to run from the driver folder throws an error saying I am missing the blue tooth license.
Any guess here?  everything else seems to be work on Windows 8 great, multi-touch 27" is gorgeous just opening bing.com is a cool experience.

    Hi,
Have you tried these command to uninstall and reinstall the right key?
    slmgr.vbs /upk
    slmgr.vbs -ipk YOUR-ACTIVATION-KEY-HERE
    slmgr.vbs -ato
As I known, during clean installation of Windows 8 pro, we need to enter the product key.
What kind of Windows 8 pro did you try to install on your Windows 8 PC? Is this just a pro package? or full version?

  • Bluetooth update error! (-3001)

When installing the updates Mac automatically searches for, I am not able to install the update for bluetooth (2.0.1). (The others halve been installed) Has tried several times now, and I don't understand why it won't happen.
It says "A network error has accured: Can't open file (-3001). Check your internet access and try again." But I have internet access!
Any suggestions? How can it be solved?

    Hi Rougena,
I am sorry I think I am the only one reply you.

  • No bluetooth after 8.1 upgrade and now no bluetooth driver

Hi.  I can't access my bluetooth anymore. I would reinstall the intel bluetooth driver and it still wouldn't show up in under networks in device manager or show a networks adapter. I called HP Tech Support. He remotely uninstalled the intel bluetooth and ralink bluetooth from Programs by using Revo Uninstall. Then tried to reinstall Intel bluetooth and it didn't work. He said I'd have to send it in for repair. I looked under programs and there is no indication of bluetooth driver and/or adapter whatsover. Please assist if you can. I don't want to send it in for repair when I just sent it in last month my product # E0K90UA

I understand that drivers are sometimes a problem, but still why can´t I uninstall force tor remove?
Could you help me do that?
    Thanks
    TT
Often with poorly written software drivers they dont clean up after themselves and leave bits behind that prevent re-installation.  Sometimes if a driver is uninstalled in the incorrect way it will leave entries in your registry that will also prevent
    re-installation.
You may also have a malware app blocking the installation.
I would (just to check) run a system file check to verify the OS and if errors are found that cant be fixed run DISM which is listed at the end of that wiki.
Please run a system file check (SFC)
All instructions are in our Wiki article below...
Should you have any questions please ask us.

  • Hp pavilion g6 2271sx bluetooth driver not installing

    Hello all.
I have Hp Pavilion g6-2271sx Notebook
    Product Number: C5B56EA
I tried too much to install the bluetooth driver but I can't find.
I tried some of them but it gives me error in the installtion or some time windows operating system restarts, give message "not accurated driver"
Please give the solution of this error.
    thanks

    Hi:
You install the corresponding bluetooth software and driver for the model wireless card that is installed in your notebook.
    For example...
If you have a Ralink wireless card, you install the Ralink bluetooth software and driver.
If you have an Atheros wireless card, you install the Atheros bluetooth software and driver.
    etc.

1st, if you are trying to DL something like 30MB or so, try to use the USB cable it is much faster...
2nd, try to check from toshiba if they have new bt driver, and use the toshiba driver not the microsoft driver...

  • Bluetooth driver installs ever and ever again

    Hi,
I am using a T500 (Win7 professional edition 32-bit) and got a problem: Some days ago, I ran the Lenovo System Update Tool, and installed an update of the Bluetooth driver:
"Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II for Vista/Win7" Version 6.2.1.800
Download an installation was fine, no errorcs occured.
But since that day, everytime I switch on Bluetooth (either by hardware switch or using Fn+F5), the system installs Bluetooth drivers again... "new devices found, looking for drivers". No error messages, it always ends with "devices were installed, and can be used now".
At the German Thinkpad board, some users reported the same problem. It seems as if has something to do with the Nokia Suite (either Nokia PC Suite or Nokia OVI Suite, I tried both in latest version).
But before I updated the driver, everything worked fine - even in combination with Nokia Suite.
Is there a solution to prevent the driver from installing ever and ever again ?
    Christian

    Nobody knows ?
