Bluetooth driver update failed

System: T430u
I was having a problem detecting a new bluetooth speaker so, Using Lenovo Solution Center, I chose to update my bluetooth driver. Beforef the update, I had run some bluetooth software by double-clicking on the bluetooth icon in my system tray and didn't shut it down, so it was running during the update. I assumed that's why the update failed (couldn't shut down some service whose name I don't remember). After the installation failure there was an option to manually install the driver by clicking on some link (still within Lenovo Solution Center). So I clicked and it seemed to install.
After reboot, there's no bluetooth icon in the system tray and when I check the driver, version it's an old version. The Installation history in LSC says:
"Broadcom Bluetooth Device Software BCM20702 -8[32,64]/8.1 [64] version 12.0.0.5400 Did not install"
But now doesn't give me the option of installing it and I can't find it at the Lenovo support pages for my laptop.
Can someone give me some advice on what to try next?

Note for future: Lenovo Update does NOT create restore points. You'll need one of your own to roll back in case you don't like what LU does for you.

T410s bluetooth driver update causing BSOD

A bluetooth driver update seems to be the cause of bluescreen crashes on my T410s running windows 7 64bit. this has happened with all bluetooth driver updates I attempted to install in the past year. a windows optional update installed a broadcom bluetooth driver which caused crashes. I unstalled the update and the system returned to normal. two lenovo updates had the same problem specifically: thinkpad bluetooth drivers 6.5.1.4500, and 6.2.1.3100.
for anyone having similar problems, I found that using the older 6.2.0.9421 bluetooth driver has resolved the issue.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.
Release notes mention anything that affects you? No? Skip it.

Satellite P200-1B6: Sound Driver update fails and HD-DVD Player doesn't work

I have just bought a Satellite P200-1B6 laptop and spent the day installing the updates recommended by the TEMPO program. One of these was a Sound Driver update from RealTek but on running this it fails about 80% of the way through with an error: 'Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure !!'.
Now the Toshiba HD DVD player fails to start with an error 'Unable to output the video to an external device.
Please switch your display device by pressing the Fn + F5 keys after ending the application'. I've tried this but it seems to have no effect.
I'm now regretting starting to update the installed drivers. Should I try to rebuild the machine using the recovery discs or is there another solution that someone has found? Or have others found the upgrade works?

Last month I upgraded my PC Satellite P200 (BIOS, Driver ATI HD2600, Package VAP and HD-DVD Player).
But after this update, I was no longer be able to read my HD-DVDs
Error message was: "Unable to send the video to an external device. Please turn off the display device."
The problem was much of the update Realtek R1.76 (Realtek Sound Driver - 6.0.1.547 - 20/11/07) currently proposed on the site toshiba.
Indeed, the P200-1DE is equipped with Realtek ALC268 Audio Codec.
The latest update of this codec is R1.89. I downloaded from the site Realtek and it has allowed me to solve the problem.

New Bluetooth Apple Keyboard - Bluetooth Firmware Updater fails

Hello,
I want to be able to use bluetooth to wake my MacBook Pro, I am told by the instructions I need to use the Firmware Updater, so I installed that off the CD provided but when I launch Bluetooth Firmware Updater and click update, I get this error:
Missing Firmware
This version of the updater is missing the firmware file. Cannot proceed.
Can anybody help me with this? I'm not sure how to proceed from here.

I have checked the settings and they are correct but it is still not waking up properly - watching the light on the front it does look like it is trying, as it stops pulsating and goes solid but it doesn't wake up, I don't get anything displaying on the external monitor nor can I use the remote to start playing iTunes.
I wonder if this is a different problem, not just the keyboard failing to wake it up?

Driver Updates failing to install

I have received a notice that my system needs a critical update which I download and install only to have it say that the update failed. This has gone on for several weeks and I have repeatedly tried to install the update both automatically as well as independently. Every time I run the update it says I need this criticalk update but it will not install. I am running Windows 8 in my computer and the product is an all in one Officejet Pro 8600.

Broadcom bluetooth drives installation failed, no bluetooth device was detected.

hello, i have HP Pavilion dm4-3013cl Entertainment Notebook PC laptop.and i am trying to install BROADCOM BLUETOOTH DRIVERS in my laptop and i am getting this error that no bluetooth device was detected. please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to countinue installation. now i want to say that i lost my recovery disc and after while for heating issue my main hard disk break or not working condition so i just replace hard disk and ofcourse i dont have os so i install fress windows 7 ultimate 64bit in my laptop. and install each drivers provide by HP website i downloaded all drives and installed and my windows 7 is also up to date. i search for this issue allmost one week for solution but cabt fix and i come to know that before insalltion of BROADCOM BLUETOOTH DRIVERS i have to enable bluetooth in HP WIRELESS ASSISTANCE but in my case i think i cant find due to new disk and new os. i can send file or recieve with bluetooth can paired with my all smartphones too but cant listen music in head phones. cant access LISTEN TO MUSIC, i know the reason is only this drivers is not installing properlly and i want to fix it. now i a tired and i dont have time to search and fix it so please help me out from this issue please and sorry for my poor grammer.

fixed !!! now i come to know, the problem is drives which i update it from intel websites, paul you suggest me correct driver for my bluetooth but it is allready in my laptop which i updated before but again i download and install and nothing happen then i reformate laptop and again install all drivers which i downloaded from hp website for my laptop and again update all drivers manually and automaticallu both from intel website and intel utility drivers software and update windows too and i got same problem. cant hear music from bluettoth head phone, so again i reformate laptop but this time i just installed drivers which listed from hp website, i didnt update anything and as you said i didnt install broadcom bluetooth drivers because it is not for my laptop so then i connect my blutooth and try to access listen to music and o m g. it works now i can hear nusic form bluetooth, i dont believe this. but yes it works this forum help other also so thanks paul and have a nice day now i newer going to update my drivers... in pic you can understand that i am not using latest version of bluetooth drivers.

Video driver update fails

Envy desktop Win 8 64 bit. I wanty to update my NVIDIA driver, but the installation fails. I've downloaded the file from Nvidia's pages. I downloaded the file the NVIDIA program suggested, so it should be correct. Anyway I downloaded another copy as well, but it didnt work either.
I start the file, the program saves files to a fodler on my disc. Then the system compatability check turns green and I accept the terms. I click next and it tries to install the driver for some time and then fails. "Driver not installed".
I've had the problem before. Then I used the recovery option to reinastall windows. Then the update worked, but I cant keep reeinstalling windows everytime I want a new driver.
What can I do?

While not specific in what I have found in the past, but if HP issues an update, then it is usually means that is designed for that particular equipment and is different from the NVidia driver found on the NVidia site. From the pictures of the card, it would appear to be a true NVidia card but that model also has an i7 processor. The two together may give way to the update.

Driver update fails

Hello,
we wanted to update our Oracle7 driver from Version 2 to 2.5. After the update we can't connect to the Oracle databases anymore.
Are there any known problems ?
We tried it at two different PCs, both using Windows95.

Note that the Oracle7 driver is pretty old technology-- Oracle no longer supports the Oracle7 family-- so my knowledge & experience are pretty limited here.
Can you post the message you're getting when you try to connect? Have you tried re-creating your DSN's?

Intel High Definition (HD) Graphics Driver update failed - (2015 version!)

I'm very disturbed that the issue I am having with my brand new HP Envy laptop is one that has been the subject of ongoing discussions in the HP forums. Why hasn't this been figured out and resolved? Why isn't HP chiming in instead of letting forum participants come up with all sorts of "fixes" (and I use the term loosely based on subsequentresponses).
HP - I would expect it's time for you to provide a fix for this ongoing issue. I anxiously await your reply.
BTW: the detachable keyboard I got out of the box is intermittently working - for that at least I am getting repair from HP, but this has been a disappointing purchase for me especially since my ancient desktop pavilion continues to hum along beautifully. Wish I cold have converted it for travel needs, but here I am, in the forums, discussing problems from a brand new purchase. Not good HP!!!!

Windows 8.1 is not starting after installing Bluetooth driver

I cannot start Windows 8.1 Pro (64Bit) after enabling Virtualization ( because I need HYPER-V ) from BIOS settings.
It was perfect before installing RaLink Bluetooth Driver update.
I use "HP ENVY 15 Touchsmart j001tx" laptop.

HYPER-V and Bluetooth individually works fine. But laptop is not starting up when both are installed. Please help me.

Hi, I have installed successfully all the adobe CC 2014 applications. But now the Creative Cloud is telling me I have updates and when I try to install those it gives me an error: "Updating driver data failed. Driver entry was notadded. ARP estimated size 199414KB". Could somebody explain to me what's going on and how to fix this? Thanks!

That sounds like a database entry failure. Short of nuking the relevant *.db files, running the cleaner tool and starting over this usually is not possible to fix and there is no way to find out what caused it in the first place...

Updating driver data fail? (EXIT CODE 7)

I keep getting this error, and I'm not sure how to trouble shoot it. I keep getting locked up at 42% on each Install. I thought that adobe automatically updates each version but just understood that there was an update July 2014 and I should pick and choose what I'd like to install.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Are you trying to download the software onto OneDrive? That's what your file extension shows. That seems like a problem right there. Try installing lightroom to the pro 3's hardrive. I'm not a computer wiz, so I could be wrong.

TC reporting "Hard Drive is Failing" after Firmware update to 7.6.1

I've jumped in and updated my TC and expresses. Everything is working it would seem, however I'm getting intermittent amber alerts on the TC now saying the hard drive is failing. Time Machine backups are happening fine, no problem mounting the drive and the alert goes away after a few minutes. I've read other posts previously about this behaviour but never had it myself. Anyone else having this problem?

AT & T is infamouse for its out-dated PPoE technology. Still don't get how a company that big can still be so behind the times.
Unfortunately, I'm at the point when someone mentions AT&T and internet issues, I just cringe because 9 times out of 10 it's one dreaded PPoE problem you're going to get stuck into, or another.

X120e update BIOS failed "Driver Loading Failed. The Utility cannot proceed"

I was tried to update Bios to 1.12 but not successed..
It always came out this message " Driver Loading Failed. The Utility cannot proceed."..
I tried to update under safe mode, still not work..
I tried to use Winflash, it came out "Cannot open new BIOS file"..
There's only one method that I didn't try is that burn a ISO CD and connect to External CDROM.. but I don't have External CDROM..
The reason that I update Bios is that I want to install Toolbox; otherwise, I won't take this risk..

Sounds like something wonky with your Windows install. I'd avoid doing a BIOS update through such an install.
